Day ten: Thorsday
I flopped onto my bed after a long day of school. High school can be so grueling, especially for someone who can't pay attention to anything for too long. Thank god my girlfriend is so nice.
"Drachen, come take out the trash!" My mom yelled from downstairs.
"Coming Mom!" I yelled, and went to take out the trash. Afterwards, not caring about my homework, I flopped into bed and went to sleep.
In my sleep, I had a really strange dream. I was flying over a weird town at night, and was nearing a giant castle. The castle was built into the side of a mountain, which seemed a pretty odd choice. Anyway, I then flew away from the city to a valley with a large amounts of caves in its sides. A flying pony slammed into me, hugging me like crazy. I kissed her and fell into a feeling of bliss and happiness. After that my dreamed faded into darkness.
A few hours later, at around 7 or 8 PM, I woke up to an uncomfortable sensation. My blankets were bunched up oddly, and my back hurt seemed weird. I was lying on my stomach, so I tried to roll over to get up. When I tried, it felt odd, but I didn't think anything of it. When I ended up on back, my back hurt like the dickens. I managed to wriggle out of my bed, and landed with a crash onto the floor.
Why was there a crash? I thought.
Trying to get up was even harder. I then began to notice that my night-vision was oddly strong, allowing me to see almost everything in alright detail. Also, my limbs seemed to be a lot shorter and muscular than I remembered. I finally looked down and saw that I was missing my arms from the elbow down, and was wearing armor.
Wait a sec.
Where are my hands?
I felt a twitch on my back and decided to flex my back a bit, or something. A breeze usually ran through my house from the oddly strong AC or heat.
Wings suddenly snapped from my back, caught the undraft, and I flew back into a wall.
"Figlio di un..." I started before the shock of what I became hit me. I have wings! That press conference with those My Little Pony people wasn't fake! I must be a pony! No, wait, that should be impossible. Right?
After several attempts, and innumerable faceplants, I figured out how to get up on my new four legs. With some pain and tripping, I manged to get over to the bathroom. Luckily, my parents always left the door open, and I went inside. The mirror was too high for my new height to reach, so I was kinda pissed. Well, that's kinda putting it lightly.
"Kirottu peili!" I yelled in a deep, muscular voice that sounded nothing like the voice I was accustomed to. My mom ran over to see what was wrong, and saw that I wasn't Human anymore.
"Ack!" My Mom yelled. "What are you?"
"Mom, it me Drachen!" I responded, a little scared.
"No!" My mom yelled. "My dear Drachen is not a monster like you! He's a sweet and loving boy, not some demonic creature like you! NOW GET OUT!"
With that, my mom grabbed a broom and swung it at me. I managed to duck the swing and tried to run under her. I ended up sliding under her because my armored feet-stub-things apparently slide on linoleum. But, I still managed to escape the bathroom.
She turned around and hit my rear end, sending me flying towards the stairs. Somehow my wings knew to extend, allowing me to glide down the stairs and hit my face against the wall at the bottom of the stairs in a clang of metal-against-wood.
"Son of a..." I started, before the broom hit my head, having been thrown like a javelin. At this I tried opening the door, but failed. So I ran to the couch and used it as a springboard to smash out of the window. I ran out, crying a little. After running for a few blocks, I came to a stop in front of a puddle. I saw I had turned into an armored pony, which was pretty cool. Also, I had bat wings, which I found a bit weird. I was not really a brony, so I had no idea what I was supposed to be.
"Okay, so I'm a bat-pony." I mused. "Still cool. And not impossible."
After a little while looking at my reflection, I went to find somewhere to sleep. I noticed that my friend Eric lived nearby, and walked to his house. I went to his front door and hesitantly knocked on the door. My sleepy friend opened the door, and being 5'11" didn't see me, since I was around three feet tall.
"Who's there?" Eric yelled.
"Down here you idiot!" I yelled up, causing him to look down very quickly.
"What the hell are you!" He yelled in a little bit of fear.
"Its me, Drachen, you dunderhead!" I yelled back. "Your best friend!"
"Drachen?" Eric said, confused. "But you're a pony."
"Don't you ever watch the news?" I asked. "Lauren and Tara had a press conference where they were THE Princesses. They said how people would start turning into ponies, and apparently its true."
"Well, what do you want me to do?" Eric asked, going back to his half-asleep state. Also, he was really calm all the time, accepting everything easily. I think he's always high.
"I just got thrown out of my house and need somewhere to stay." I said. "Would you mind if I crashed here for a little bit?"
"Nah." Eric said, ushering me inside. "My Ma and Pa are in California at a business trip, so you can use their bed or sofa."
"I think I'll take the couch." I answered, walking toward said object. "I doubt I can walk up your stairs easily with these legs, and I'm too tired to try."
I flopped onto the couch and started falling asleep when I heard a voice in my head.
I am not a bat-pony, you ungrateful mutant minotaur-monkey, I am a Thestral!
