Banana Power! By: Silver_Mist Celestia walked out onto the balcony, setting the sun for her sister to raise her beautiful moon. "Luna," she called, her drowsy eyes closing slowly. "It's time." Luna walked past her as her sister retreated inside. "Goodnight, my dear sister," she whispered as her elder sister disappeared inside. The white Alicorn trotted slowly down the stairs and to her room, making sure no one heard her. Slowly, she forcefully woke herself up. "I must do this to get back at Luna for that infernal slurping she had done with her cider last week," she muttered, trotting into the large hallway and towards her throne. There, she saw her pupil, sitting idly by the window with her chin in her hoof. Celestia's hoofsteps echoed throughout the room, causing Twilight to turn her head and stare at her. "Princess Celestia!" she blurted out, immediately standing up and brushing herself off. "I apologize, I didn't expect you to be up at this time!" "Oh, Twilight, it's quite alright," Celestia gave a comforting smile as she approached her. "Shouldn't you be asleep, my faithful student? You have a big day tomorrow." Twilight looked up at her, seeming to have drawn a blank. Quickly though, she remembered, and began to gallop away. "I'll get to bed right now!" she called back at her, her hoofsteps quickly fading away. "Twilight, don't run in the halls!" she replied, although she knew the young Alicorn couldn't hear her. "You have so much left to learn, my student," she murmured to herself as she continued trotting along inside her castle. She had passed by the rest of the Mane 6's rooms, all the rest of them fast asleep. She could faintly hear Rainbow Dash snoring through the door, while Applejack seemed to have been saying, "Apples Apples Apples," a bit too much. As she trotted down the hall, she heard Pinkie softly giggling in her sleep, while Fluttershy was curled in a tiny ball when she had peeked in. Celestia flapped her wings, careful not to wake the sleeping pony up and enveloped Pegasi's blanket in her magic, pulling it over her easily. She left the room, continuing onto Rarity's, where the fashionista was sprawled out and fast asleep on her bed. When she went to check on Twilight, she saw the mare reading a book. "Twilight Sparkle," she murmured, opening the door. "What did I just tell you?" Twilight looked up, staring at the princess. "Can I just finish this chapter? Please?" Celestia bit her lip in contemplation before backing out of the room. "Okay, but when you finish, you must rest immediately." "Thank you, Princess Celestia!" the purple Alicorn said with glee before returning her big, amethyst eyes to her page. "Goodnight," the princess said as she trotted down the hall and up the spiral staircase. As she walked down the hall, she approached her room slowly, the normal sounds of Luna yelling at her game going unheard. "I wanna be the very best, like nopony ever was!" Celestia heard from the bathroom, slowly approaching it to hear Luna's singing. "To catch them is my real test!" Celestia backed away slowly, her brows pushing together in confusion. "Mother of myself, she needs to lay off the video games," she murmured before creeping into her sister's room. "Now, where did she put it," she asked herself, enveloping various items in her magic. After what seemed like hours, although it really wasn't, she found what she was looking for and tidied up a bit, casting a spell to put everything back where it was. "Sister, did you do the dishes?" Luna's voice drifted throughout the small corridor, and Celestia began to panic, quickly teleporting into the downstairs restroom. "Now that was far closer than when we almost caused four eclipses in a single day," Celestia whispered. She could now hear Luna trotting downstairs and into the kitchen and she followed her quietly, flying just above her view. "Ugh, sister, we must learn to do dishes every night," she heard her younger sister mutter. "Well, I never," Celestia grumbled as she grabbed her cake off the counter. As she ate it, she felt a strange sugar rush come on, and she then remembered what everypony had said about Pinkie's cake. Little thought bubbles of her student's friends' flew around her head, but only one spoke quickly and enthusiastically. "Oh, you can't eat my cake, silly! You'll get really super duper crazy and wanna dance around like a crazy pony! Maybe you'll even become a superpony!" Pinkie's voice echoed throughout her head, becoming louder and louder. "Now I see why everypony wants to wear really silly things when I make them cake! Ooh, Princess Celestia! Don't eat it!" "Uh-oh," Celestia muttered before her eye started twitching involuntarily. "It's happening!" she yelped as her hooves hurriedly carried her into the kitchen. "Luna!" she called out after standing there for a few silent moments, her eyes constricting as the twitching continued. Princess Luna furrowed her brow, turning off the water as she finished the remaining dishes. "What, sister?" "I'm a banana!" the elder one called out. "You're a what?" Luna questioned, looking at her sister oddly. "I'm a banana!" she repeated, her crown and other princess necessities flying off of her. Luna watched as her crown flew and hit the dishes, the glass shattering on the floor. "What happened to your princess attire?" Luna squealed as the others flew out at random directions. "I'm a banana!" Celestia repeated once more before a banana suit magically appeared on her white coat, her wings and horn fitting through the appropriate holes properly. Luna watched in horror, her sister dancing around in a banana costume. "I'm a banana!" she shouted about twenty times in a row, dancing around like a maniac. Luna curled into a ball, hoping the nightmare would end. "Banana power!" Celestia bellowed, flailing her hooves in weird directions while making turkey noises. Slowly, Luna felt herself being lifted onto her hooves, which she didn't want. She tried to force herself back down, but the strong hold Celestia, the dancing banana princess, had on her was too much. The words hit her like a train, "Chicken, chicken, chicken!" Celestia called, forcing Luna into a Scootaloo costume. "Chicken, chicken, chicken!" Luna repeated, putting her hooves in the air. "I am chicken, chicken! Ffffffffff-, grrr, chicken!" Luna screamed, dancing around in a circle with Celestia as they both made absurd turkey noises. One final time around, the castle exploded as Celestia turkey gobbled once more. Luna jolted awake in her bed, her mane disheveled from her activity. "What in the name of my sister was that?" she asked herself aloud. As she trotted to her bedroom door, she could hear the chanting. The "I'm a banana" chant. That night will never be forgotten. She opened her door, and an army of pastel colored bananas attacked her. "I'M A BANANA!" the six ponies screamed. As she caught one final glimpse at their overlord, she could see the behind the crazed amethyst eyes that it was her petrified sister. The banana queen laughed as the ponies covered her younger sister in darkness. Again, a jolt shot through her, and she lay in her bed unharmed. "CELESTIA!" she yelled, teleporting to her sister's room to see her fast asleep. She jabbed her hard in the side with her hoof, waking her. "What kind of sick joke was that, sister?" she growled. "That's what you get for slurping your cider. Now, if you may excuse me, I have a sun to raise," Celestia replied coolly as a smile danced on her lips. "I'll get you for that, sister! Not right now though," Luna grumbled, teleporting to her room. "Back to bed," she sighed, turning over. "Hello Luna," Celestia grinned as she wore the tainted banana suit. Luna flailed and fell out of her bed, screaming in terror. When she finally regained her composure, her voice boomed. "OUT! NOW!" she ordered, Celestia trotting out of her room with a snicker. "Goodnight," Luna muttered, finally falling back asleep. THE END!
