But has anyone thought of where it may have started, how did everything come into existence, where exactly do the other creatures of equestria come from, or better yet what are the origins of Princess Celestia and Luna? Were they always alicorns or did they have to reach a point or acquire a certain knowledge of some sort? Could there have been a point in time where beings like alicorn were actually a race, or did Celestia and Luna come from nowhere? That being said, why don’t we all sit and relax and do some reading? Well, I guess all of us have been doing that. What I’m talking about is reading a detailed oral history of Equestria that goes back to the beginning of where everything started. A time where alicorns lived as ponies lived today. A time when darkness didn’t have an iron grip on the world, yet. A time when all the places of Equestria didn't exist... This history will reveal the secrets, both dark and true, of the land we call Equestria. Secrets that may lead to answers that curious ponies go on pondering about day and night. Now this oral history is so large with information, it has been separated into five sections. They're not difficult to connect; however, all you would need is time. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the read of the past some equines dream to find out. Oh, so you want to know who's narrating this book? No one. You won’t hear much about me at all in this story. I’m Fantasia Archsage, but please don’t say my full name. You could just call me Archsage thank you very much. I’m an adventurer who wants to know the secrets of the past. I came upon this book while traveling through the Everfree Forest. So now I’m here with these books and out of the forest, I’ll just sit and read this book and... Sorry about that, I guess I got carried away there. Let me not bore you anymore from what you really come to gaze your eyes upon. This book won’t be detailed in every aspect. Over the many millenniums, history couldn't stay in one book, so a few scholar ponies found some of the pieces that connect to this mysterious tome making it an interesting read. Some words will be highlighted in ‘green magic’ as you go throughout this ancient tome for if you choose to read further about the ancient secrets. Yes, you could read through this book, and I guess get the summary of the history, but I’m more of an adventures pony and let’s face the facts here. I’m gonna find out the truth regardless, so the rest of the reading is up to you. Ok fine, fine, with all due respect. Here is The History of Equestria. Ready to experience what the world was like before? I don’t know about you, but I am. So I’m just gonna go right ahead and flip to the first chapter. If you’re not ready, then that’s just too bad. I’m not gonna wait for you, here it goes. 30,000 - 20,000 years B.B.The Beginning, About 40,000 B.B. Over forty-thousand years ago, there existed only a vast space of nothing... Slowly, order began to assert itself, and two powerful twins were born. One was an alicorn, the sister; the other was a dragon, the brother. Their bodies at points were able to diffuse into a giant mass of smoke, and other times grow compacted, solidifying themselves to be as hard as diamond. Over time, their bodies stopped morphing into different creatures. The twins were able to use magic, but their anatomy and use of magic were different. Despite their difference in creation, both of these celestial twins ruled the entire universe, and none were more powerful than they. Both were mighty gods of all the twelve realms of the entire universe. To ensure that the universe maintained its balance, the twins divided the realms between themselves. They both had similar powers to keeping the universe in balance. But in time, the brother became dissatisfied with what he had. He want more space, more planets to control, and eventually came to the conclusion of wanting to rule and own everything the universe had to offer. Fueled by greed, he began expanding his territory until it began to encroach the sister's part of the universe. The sister tried convincing her brother to turn back from the chaos he was creating within himself, but he chose not listen and gave in to the greed which eventually consumed him. The sister, believing in the power of reason, decided that she would punish her wayward brother. After millenniums of her many pleas, trying to win her brother back to the side of peace and harmony, she finally said that she would leave him the entire universe as his domain, but then asked, "Is this grossly swollen body of yours not a burden? Will it not stress you as you travel about your territory." Upon hearing these words, the dragon immediately shrank himself in size. The affects of his shrinking caused him to feel weaker, even his magic. This however had been the sister's plan all along, and she pounced upon the small frame of her brother, smashing him in and through planets. She tossed him all about the twelve realms of the universe and made sure that he had not one drop of strength left in him to fight back. She trapped him on a distant planet, threatened him and said that it will be his home for the rest of eternity, and that if he dared breaks his chains it will be his last. Once he figured out that he was tricked, he was wroth against his sister. Tears trinkled down his cheeks as he grumbled and tried to break free of his chains. But was too weak to overpower the chains of his sister. The alicorn flew off to another part of the universe leaving her brother all alone. The angered brother vowed the day of his release that it would be her end. Now with her brother unable to interfere, she was able to bring about order and reason throughout all the universe without her brother which was now chaos in his place. From then, she took the responsibility as being ruler of all twelve realms. She ruled for quite some years, but the responsibilities of keeping the twelve realms in balance was too much for just one goddess. She decided to travel about the universe in search of a planet that wasn't fully formed by her brother. After traveling for quite sometime, she descended upon a planet that wasn't fully formed and without anything upon its face. After finishing the formation of the world, she disbursed into a mass amount of tiny particles of magic giving birth to a new world. The magical particles brung about many mystical creatures of all kinds. The large fragments of her body brought about powerful deites: Empress Lucena, Emperor Astrim, and Emperor Vulgaranis to name a few. It has also brought forth the twelve giants of the entire galaxy which were called the twelve "Zodiacs of Harmony". Every Creature such as ponies, zebras, gryphons, cervids, buffalos, and so forth were all created based off all the star constellations in the universe. The mighty alicorn's purpose in creating them is such manner was for them to be in complete harmony both physically and mentally with the universe. The ponies were created into three major variations, the earth pony, the pegasus, and the unicorn. Other variations came through the adaptation of their world. The earth pony was created with strong and muscular bodies able to lift and move extreme weight from one place to another. They have studied and practiced the first battle styles and stances of war, starting the trend of war practices and others techniques of war. The unicorns were usually the smart variant which were created with horns. They were the first scholars, and they learned how to use the magic skillfully and learned how the patterns in the sky connected to the world. They also have written the first books of all the ologies. And The pegasi variant were created with wings they have been given the abilities to travel on clouds. It was never said how the pegasi variants could walk on clouds, it was just believed that they always could, and that it was apart of their nature to do so. The first generations of ponies took on the responsibility of keeping peace and order in their world. They also tried to keep the balance together with the "Zodiacs of Harmony" to keep the universe forever in balance but weren't successful. The world was unable to continue its creation for the ponies had no control of their powers, and left the world in a state of confusion. Until a few had learned within themselves the purpose of their existence and had evolved to into alicorns, which was considered the next stage of a pony who has fully achieved the understanding of her role in the world of Myloria. They had full control of their powers and were able to manipulate the environment around them. And that was when the rest of creation was to be completed. The sun and moon rose and fell through the powers of Lucena and Astrim, and thus time was created. Snow, rain, and storms were each given their proper times, and so the seasons were born. After the creation was completed, order was given to all of creation, leaving the world which was the mighty kingdom of all the universe in perfect balance. All the realms of the universe made Myloria the centre place of all harmony. The dragon, now chained to a group of planets with no life, could only look on from afar in jealously as all of this took place. His silent greed grew, enormous, within him. His scales became thicker and tougher from his great hate towards his sister. His nails grew longer and sharper. And the darkness he created within consumed his face of beauty and turned his face, his very demeanor to look like that of a diabolical menace, slowly breaking his chains which he longed to be freed from. His greed and hate was so powerful that evil beasts started forming from his dark thoughts in many different places across the universe, even the home of the alicorns, destroying everything they could find. The alicorns tried many methods of ridding this evil. At times, they had successfully purified the world of these evil creatures, but in time they would come back even more chaotic and with more hate than before. And thus the first monsters were born. From the point, it was all out war between the equines and monsters. The monsters were powerful and killed many equines that oppose them. All the equine races united in the "Great Fortress" which was created by the great mind of Emperor Vulganaris and safely fought the terrifying beast as one through the rest of that war. The alicorns who had claimed victory of this epic battle called it The Alpha War. But there was no guarantee that the victory was everlasting. The dragon was not angry, for it was apart of his plan for the darkness to take in root on that planet. For once he is free from his chains, the world would doomed to ultimate destruction. If by chance the power that kept the order of the universe were to grow weaker, and The Alpha War was loss, then the world and perhaps the universe would've became a very different place... 20,000 - 10,000 years B.B. After The Alpha War, Empress Lucena, Emperor Astrim, and their fellow brethren were able to rule in a world of peace and order, and Myloria was able to grow and flourish once more. Civilizations were brought about the world, and all the races of the world started their early civilizations, ever multiplying and replenishing the lands of Myloria. The races spread throughout the world and created great tribes and kingdoms. The Alicorns decided on building the first empires and a capital place where all the laws of the land are to be decided, made, and enforced. And thus The Iron Pillars, the first equine government of the world, was born. The First kingdom ever built was The Celestial Empire. It was one the greatest and oldest kingdoms ever to exist. It was home to the ruling family of the alicorns, the home of Empress Lucena and Emperor Astrim. The army was established there, the Royal Grand Galloping Gala was also introduced there, and gave two lovely glows throughout the day and night. This empire was also called the North Wing for its location was north of The Iron Pillars, which was located in the heart of Galdoria. Gladoria was a giant continent that was home two five great empires. Those empires were The Celestial, The Sky, The Mega, The Crystal, and The Griffon Empire. This mighty land started the first of most systems for great civilizations of the equine world. It was said that the great alicorn descended upon the heart that very land... After a thousand years another grand empire was built. It was called the Mega Empire, also called The West Wing for it was located west of The Iron Pillars. This kingdom was known for its massiveness. It was the second oldest of the kingdoms, and was home to a mighty race of earth ponies including the great architect Emperor Vulgaranis and the mighty Empress Vulcanaria. Over ten millenniums, there came about Seven other empires, which were The Sky Empire, which was also know as the East Wing, The Griffon Empire, The Aqua Empire, The Gordo Empire, The Diamond Dog Empire, The Crystal Empire, which was also called the South Wing, and The Zola Empire. These were all the first great equine civilizations. The Sky Empire was built an established for all the pegasi, griffons, and gremlins of the sky. This empire was rules by the great Emperor Seasoris and Empress Seasonaria. It started its first weather team helping Seasoris clear the skies of all the lands of Myloria. The also helped Seasonaria and her four daughters of the winds with the moving of clouds and other types of weather around the world. It was also called the East Wing for it was located east of The Iron Pillars. The Griffon Empire was built for all griffons and all griffon variants. They welcomed all races of Myloria. They inhabitants were known to have warlike and aggressive natures. They held a huge event every year to see who was the toughest equine, and the winner would have to verse the griffon emperor, Emperor Rak Tarnos. The corners of this empire kept and upgraded the ballistas used in The Alpha War to keep their militia as one the of the top ranking in the lands. The griffons were created was kind of awkward. Their anatomy consisted of lion body hind legs followed by the head, wings, front legs of an eagle. They have the ability to clear the skies and fly through the skies quicker than sometimes a pegasus. They have incorporated the skills of war from the earth ponies and made their own battle styles of war for the skies. They're known to be a bellicose kind of equines. They also have quite a few variants as well. The Aqua Empire was the biggest empire of all the oceans. It was built for all life of the sea. It rulers were Emperor Titeranus and Empress Tetanus. Sea ponies are the most populous in the hear of the empire. They help both rulers with the cleaning of the sea and keeping it fresh for all to have a wonderful time throughout. The rulers would meet with all the other leaders of Myloria in the Royal Galloping Gala. Their jobs was always keep away the smooze, and other Sea monsters away from the shores of most lands. The first entrance leading to Tartarus in the waters were located in the heart of the empire. The Crystal Empire was built for all the crystal ponies. The rulers of the empire were Emperor Emeraldalis and Empress Sapphira. This empire was fairly large empire and was the centre of all crystal tradings. The were also called the South Wing and was located south of The Iron Pillars. At its centre just below the castle, floated the Crystal Heart. It was empowered by the love all of the ponies within the empire. Equines from different lands would come there to be filled whole with love overflowing in their hearts. The Zola Empire was built for all the zebras, horses, and donkeys, including all their variants. This empire had the second entrance to Tartarus which was hidden deep within the layers of the empire itself. Its ruler was Empress Zebru, who was also the Lord of Tartarus. Most of their inhabitants were remedy healers who studied the forbidden arts of the Zodiac. It is said they are able to reverse what other equines considered terminal or impossible to cure or reverse. The zebras were created from the sands of Duetus, the desert of the singing winds. They are very natural healing race of equines believing that everything could be solved through the use of natural mixed remedies. They also believe that certain sounds can either make a pony stronger or weaker depending on the tune. They say the winds has taught them how to be one with the nature of Myloria and the universe. They study and practice their minds and bodies. And the challenge the extent of both the physical and mental realms by going up against powerful forces of nature. The Diamond Dog empire was built and establish for all Diamond dogs, Crystal Wolves, and Pony wolves including their variants. This empire was the first threat to all other empires because of their thievery nature. They are mostly known for their cunning craftiness in stealing highly valuable items throughout all the lands. They are a very sophisticated kind of creature. Some variants may appear to be dumb but are actually smart and very clever. And others are just as smart as they look. It is said they have dug a third entrance into the underworld, but no equine was brave enough to find out... And finally, the Gordo Empire was built for all the beasts of the equine world, from Minotaurs to Ursa Majors. All type of monsters dwell within that gargantuan empire. No equine really knows all the secrets held within that empire but all monsters that entered had somehow a liking for the empire. It was said that there was an emperor by the the name of Emperor Golurg who used to rule the entire empire with his mighty power. Some say that he studied Chaoism, the study of the mighty lord of Chaos. They say that when he moved his mace it was like the wrath of chaos himself came over its victims. All the empires of the land were built and the world was ready for its last stage of completion. Once the four wings were built in the four corners of the centre, they were able to do the Peace Ritual which renews the world with the peace of the universe. It casts a shining veil of the entire world keeping the peace, harmony, and connection of the world with the entire universe. All the races of Myloria were well established, and only continued to flourish. All the leaders decided and came together, and made an alliance, so that no war will happen amongst the kingdoms. And thus the "The Mylorian Alliance" was born, to keep order and peace among the kingdoms. It was this alliance the kept the peace firm and strong all throughout Myloria, having all equines live together in harmony. But somewhere deep in the depths of the universe, chaos was slowly breaking free from his chains. Although the universe was in harmony with centre world, Chaos was slowly regaining his mighty strength, the strength that made him the god he was. And as he slowly regained his strength little by little, he started remembering how to manipulate and control certain realms of the universe... ~~~~~~~~~~~ Many years had passed, and the world had flourished in so many ways. The world was only stronger in order and peace, however this way of life did not last forever... Many different creatures were influenced by the shadows that traveled about the earth, and grew bored of living in order and peace, and started lusting for chaos. Each year that passed only grew worst. There was an earth pony who got bored of using magic in harmony with nature and wanted to know what would happen if he were to bend anything in nature according to his will. His desperate desire to bend and twist all forces of nature lead him to a forever cursed magic "Draconian Magic". His name was Ardiez. Another was a pink unicorn who was a well learned student who lived in The Celestial Kingdom under Empress Lucena, but desired to be a alicorn, and her greed to learn more powerful magic flowed all through her mind. Lucena decided not to make him an alicorn in fear she might terrorize all life on Myloria just in search for more power. When that decision was made, she grew angry and left the kingdom. She said that if she wouldn't make her an alicorn to have more power than she will obtain the power herself. She went about the world, searching everywhere for what she had desired, but found nothing. After finally giving up on her journey, she grew angry and wanted to kill herself. Lying on the floor with tears flowing down her cheeks in frustration, a peculiar shadow came up behind her in the form of a beautiful alicorn and said, "So you want more power. I have what you seek, the more you sacrifice, the more you shall have. Only then will you have what you seek." The pink unicorn accepted his offer sacrificing her body without a second thought, and she was immediately changed into a beautiful alicorn with extremely powerful magic, more than she had ever dreamed. But eventually figured out she had been tricked and was completely under the shadow's control. Her name was Ursuna. Over fifty thousand years passed, the world kept growing and multiplying, getting better at all that was good. And so was darkness. Groups were born from the forbidden arts of darkness, making them able to use the powers of the heavens. Eventually there were small rebels that took place in the kingdoms abroad, even kingdoms warring with others. They sent out an alicorn named "Star Glider" to find out if the elder dragon still resided were he was chained. They usually would send him to check up on the plant every while or so. But at the time, all that returned were there meteors; the charred body of Star Glider, and his shackles. Letting the alicorns and the world know that the ancient one returned... 10,000 - 3,000 years B.B. After the leaders of the world got notice of the returning of the dragon, they started to prepare for the worst. But at this point in time groups were on the rise and through the use of their wicked arts they waged many wars with the kingdoms. After some major happenings in the kingdoms and empires across the land, the leaders started searching the world for these criminals. Others said that the source of their rebels was from the practice of Chaoism. It was said that there were seven great sorcerers who wielded the elements of chaos. After some major happenings in the kingdoms and empires across the land, the leaders started searching the world for these criminals. It was said that these sorcerers were the barers of great destruction. Each sorcerer had mastered a deadly sin and a forbidden art. These sorcerers were evil in their own respect, and each resembled their sins both physically and mentally. This era was called "The Tearing of the Great Scrolls" for this represented the fall of the Iron Alliance. All the kingdoms of the different equines and other talking creatures disbanded from the original laws of the land. In was written that it was the increase of the darkness roaming around that may have caused them to disband. As a result kingdoms had to keep away from others in fear of wars or certain deaths. This brought about the end of the Peace Ritual and the full harmony the world had with the universe. These events are otherwise known as the Great Divide. Around this time, the leader of the The Gordo Empire instigated most of the wars that were fought. Under Emperor Golurg, the first emperor, the first assassinations took place. Killing the first leader of the water buffalo tribe, and he killed leaders of other tribes about the lands of Myloria. The Griffon Empire was also in on these plots that had taken place, killing certain equines from different kingdoms across the globe. Because of these wicked acts on top of their carnivorous nature of kidnapping and eating other equines, they have been defeated and were forced to move other lands beyond and never to return again... Over seven milleniums, the lands of myloria only grew more hate towards each other and forgetting the peace and harmony the once had amongst one another. The rate of killings for each equine race grew by the year. Kingdoms start falling apart forming smaller groups. Kingdoms started wars against each other which only brought more pointless bloodshed. It became more difficult for the alicorns to do their tasks, and the groups that studied forbidden arts couldn't perform them at will. All the creatures endured this terrible fall, until his presence was near... The thing that was feared from the very beginning. That great, old Dragon. That what they called an "Ancient Shadow". He was nearing the world... It was written that the weather became chaos and moved about the lands wildly. It was said about the year 3,200 B.B. when this terror took place... About the 3,000 years B.B. was when the world recorded the greatest event of all time "The War of the Mighty". The war of all equines versus carnivorous monsters. The leaders of these war campaigns were Empress Lucena and her friends being and The Great Shadow. The Great Shadow called it his Retribution, his revenge for what was done to him over thirty milleniums ago. He who was called The Great Shadow, The mighty lord of the chaos bringers, the lord of eternal death. He who was called Chaos. He was once the mighty ruler of the universe, sharing harmony with his sister he hated so much. This great and ancient dragon had descended upon all Myloria. His entrance had darken the skies making them almost pitch black. He landed straight on The Iron Pillars completely crushing the connection between the world and the entire universe. The pressure from his landing weakened the walls of the four wings. He opened the entrances and released the monsters from the depths Tartarus, so that they may again fight for Chaos. His presence of darkness spoke great fear in the hearts of all the equines claiming that their lives were at an end and that a new world will be born, a new age of chaos. The armies of all the equine races and the creatures that wanted to remain in harmony prepared themselves and fortified their kingdoms for the worst. But they were all terrified and truly afraid after hearing the mighty lord of all chaos bringers spake. The alicorns and leaders of every kingdom left their homes and confronted The Great Shadow and his minions on the heart land which was then called Land Zero after the complete destruction of The Iron Pillars. It was said this battle was said to be one of the most epic wars of all equin history. The mighty war was intense. The mighty winds of clashing giants caused great explosions of energy destroying most of what nature had to offer. The battle of the motherland lasted several days. The rest of Myloria coward and watched in fear of what their world might go through next. It was also said that the equine leaders couldn't successfully fight off the Elder dragons, the seven barers of the elements of chaos, the draconequus, and Emperor Astrim who was under the complete control of Chaos, so they flew away from the battlefield and as a result the empires were attacked, both soldier and civilians met their horrible fates as the great darkness moved upon the lands. Chaos was very pleased to watch the death of his sister, and that he was getting full revenge on what she had done to him over thirty-seven thousand years ago. The leaders spread their battles all across Myloria. At the point, it was a full scale world war. Chaos main objective in that war was to rebuild a temple that could use the powers of the four wings to connect to the universe and suck it dry of its power. Only then could fully have all the powers of the twelve realms in his grasp. Emperor Emeraldalis and Empress Sapphira was a step ahead of Chaos, and they both combined their powers and used it to teleport the centre of the Crystal Empire to a distant land. Chaos were enraged and killed the two rulers of the South Wing, crushing them under his mighty hand. Before Chaos could complete the structure of the fourth wing, his hands were severed by Empress Lucena and Empress Seasonaria. Chaos had a long and fierce battle with them until he set the lands ablaze with sacred fire weakening Empress Seasonaria and Emperor Towug, ruler of all the forest, who helped along in that fight. Both were incinerated under the mighty fire of the great ruler of darkness. Out of the fire rose three more powerful creatures seeking to devour more helpless equines. The creatures were destroying the empires of all the lands. Star Swirl confronted and defeated the great beasts without any harm done to the rest of majorly destroyed empires, and he tried to help get most of the civilizations across the land to safer lands overseas. Lost of sacrifices were made in that war. Empress Lucena tried to save her husband from the grip of Chaos, but unfortunately had to kill him with her bare hooves on a distant planet. With such regret, the grip of chaos started to control her mind but was unsuccessful. Before he had full grasp of her mind, she plummeted straight into his back and out his stomach. Empress Lucena couldn't fight anymore, her energy was completely drained by the powers of Chaos. Just as she felt the last bit of energy she had drain from her a powerful surge of light beamed down from the heavens and exploded from the earth. She received the direct connection and harmony of the universe and the world, and she, the alicorns, and all the leaders of the world charged up the power within themselves by them touching Empress Lucena turning into sacred beings. They charged up at the great leader of darkness, and the leader of darkness with his sorcerers charged down at them causing a great collide. This collide was so powerful it created a powerful light and knocked the order of mylorian nature into total choas. Clouds were all formed awkwardly, and the earth and sea were hanging lop sided in some places of the world. When the light faded, there was nothing but rumble and destruction in the centre of the motherland. Lucena and Chaos took a pose. They both powered up to their sacred levels, but Chaos was once again too weak to perform a powerful tackle on Lucena. In his last attempt to try crushing Lucena, she used all the powers of the twelve realms and sent him propelling into the atmosphere. All the princesses and princes of the kingdoms had to stay hidden from the darkness that was spread through the air at all cause lest they be consumed or twisted by it. But a few had the unfortunancy of watching the death of their parents which made them perform powerful magics that either chained, locked away, killed some of the diabolic creatures that were destroying the empires and were talked about as old folk tales in later years. When the war had ended, the darkness was pulled up by Empress Luncena using the combined powers of the great zodiacs banished to jupiter for six thousand years. And the world has remained more at peace since then… However, before his banishment of The Great Shadow and the death of Empress Lucena, he told her that in the future advocates would rise from nowhere and will fight his sake and will own powers strong enough to make your apprentices kneel before him till my return. And that the monsters that were defeated in this war shall be raised again and that all their wounds shall heal, and when he returned it shall truly be the end of all peace, the end of his sister forever... After he was chained to the planet Jupiter, Empress Lucena used that bit of energy she had to return the order of the world as much as she could, but she wouldn't be able to raise the sun or the moon for her death was near. As she felt the presence of the planet she felt the energies of all the princesses and princes including her two daughters, Princess Celestia and Luna. With that feeling, she smiled and closed her eyes as she faded away as light, flowing away with the gust of wind the swooped by...

But has anyone thought of where it may have started, how did everything come into existence, where exactly do the other creatures of equestria come from, or better yet what are the origins of Princess Celestia and Luna? Were they always alicorns or did they have to reach a point or acquire a certain knowledge of some sort? Could there have been a point in time where beings like alicorn were actually a race, or did Celestia and Luna come from nowhere? That being said, why don’t we all sit and relax and do some reading? Well, I guess all of us have been doing that. What I’m talking about is reading a detailed oral history of Equestria that goes back to the beginning of where everything started. A time where alicorns lived as ponies lived today. A time when darkness didn’t have an iron grip on the world, yet. A time when all the places of Equestria didn't exist... This history will reveal the secrets, both dark and true, of the land we call Equestria. Secrets that may lead to answers that curious ponies go on pondering about day and night. Now this oral history is so large with information, it has been separated into five sections. They're not difficult to connect; however, all you would need is time. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the read of the past some equines dream to find out. Oh, so you want to know who's narrating this book? No one. You won’t hear much about me at all in this story. Over the many millenniums, history couldn't stay in one book, so a few scholar ponies found some of the pieces that connect to this mysterious tome making it an interesting read. Some words will be highlighted in ‘green magic’ as you go throughout this ancient tome for if you choose to read further about the ancient secrets. Yes, you could read through this book, and I guess get the summary of the history, but I’m more of an adventures pony and let’s face the facts here. I’m gonna find out the truth regardless, so the rest of the reading is up to you. Ok fine, fine, with all due respect. Here is The History of Equestria. Ready to experience what the world was like before? I don’t know about you, but I am. So I’m just gonna go right ahead and flip to the first chapter. If you’re not ready, then that’s just too bad. I’m not gonna wait for you, here it goes.
30,000 - 20,000 years B.B.The Beginning, About 40,000 B.B. Over forty-thousand years ago, there existed only a vast space of nothing... Slowly, order began to assert itself, and two powerful twins were born. One was an alicorn, the sister; the other was a dragon, the brother. Their bodies at points were able to diffuse into a giant mass of smoke, and other times grow compacted, solidifying themselves to be as hard as diamond. Over time, their bodies stopped morphing into different creatures. The twins were able to use magic, but their anatomy and use of magic were different. Despite their difference in creation, both of these celestial twins ruled the entire universe, and none were more powerful than they. Both were mighty gods of all the twelve realms of the entire universe. To ensure that the universe maintained its balance, the twins divided the realms between themselves. They both had similar powers to keeping the universe in balance. But in time, the brother became dissatisfied with what he had. He want more space, more planets to control, and eventually came to the conclusion of wanting to rule and own everything the universe had to offer. Fueled by greed, he began expanding his territory until it began to encroach the sister's part of the universe. The sister tried convincing her brother to turn back from the chaos he was creating within himself, but he chose not listen and gave in to the greed which eventually consumed him. The sister, believing in the power of reason, decided that she would punish her wayward brother. After millenniums of her many pleas, trying to win her brother back to the side of peace and harmony, she finally said that she would leave him the entire universe as his domain, but then asked, "Is this grossly swollen body of yours not a burden? Will it not stress you as you travel about your territory." Upon hearing these words, the dragon immediately shrank himself in size. The affects of his shrinking caused him to feel weaker, even his magic. This however had been the sister's plan all along, and she pounced upon the small frame of her brother, smashing him in and through planets. She tossed him all about the twelve realms of the universe and made sure that he had not one drop of strength left in him to fight back. She trapped him on a distant planet, threatened him and said that it will be his home for the rest of eternity, and that if he dared breaks his chains it will be his last. Once he figured out that he was tricked, he was wroth against his sister. Tears trinkled down his cheeks as he grumbled and tried to break free of his chains. But was too weak to overpower the chains of his sister. The alicorn flew off to another part of the universe leaving her brother all alone. The angered brother vowed the day of his release that it would be her end. Now with her brother unable to interfere, she was able to bring about order and reason throughout all the universe without her brother which was now chaos in his place. From then, she took the responsibility as being ruler of all twelve realms. She ruled for quite some years, but the responsibilities of keeping the twelve realms in balance was too much for just one goddess. She decided to travel about the universe in search of a planet that wasn't fully formed by her brother. After traveling for quite sometime, she descended upon a planet that wasn't fully formed and without anything upon its face. After finishing the formation of the world, she disbursed into a mass amount of tiny particles of magic giving birth to a new world. The magical particles brung about many mystical creatures of all kinds. The large fragments of her body brought about powerful deites: Empress Lucena, Emperor Astrim, and Emperor Vulgaranis to name a few. It has also brought forth the twelve giants of the entire galaxy which were called the twelve "Zodiacs of Harmony". Every Creature such as ponies, zebras, gryphons, cervids, buffalos, and so forth were all created based off all the star constellations in the universe. The mighty alicorn's purpose in creating them is such manner was for them to be in complete harmony both physically and mentally with the universe. The ponies were created into three major variations, the earth pony, the pegasus, and the unicorn. Other variations came through the adaptation of their world. The earth pony was created with strong and muscular bodies able to lift and move extreme weight from one place to another. They have studied and practiced the first battle styles and stances of war, starting the trend of war practices and others techniques of war. The unicorns were usually the smart variant which were created with horns. They were the first scholars, and they learned how to use the magic skillfully and learned how the patterns in the sky connected to the world. They also have written the first books of all the ologies. And The pegasi variant were created with wings they have been given the abilities to travel on clouds. It was never said how the pegasi variants could walk on clouds, it was just believed that they always could, and that it was apart of their nature to do so. The first generations of ponies took on the responsibility of keeping peace and order in their world. They also tried to keep the balance together with the "Zodiacs of Harmony" to keep the universe forever in balance but weren't successful. The world was unable to continue its creation for the ponies had no control of their powers, and left the world in a state of confusion. Until a few had learned within themselves the purpose of their existence and had evolved to into alicorns, which was considered the next stage of a pony who has fully achieved the understanding of her role in the world of Myloria. They had full control of their powers and were able to manipulate the environment around them. And that was when the rest of creation was to be completed. The sun and moon rose and fell through the powers of Lucena and Astrim, and thus time was created. Snow, rain, and storms were each given their proper times, and so the seasons were born. After the creation was completed, order was given to all of creation, leaving the world which was the mighty kingdom of all the universe in perfect balance. All the realms of the universe made Myloria the centre place of all harmony. The dragon, now chained to a group of planets with no life, could only look on from afar in jealously as all of this took place. His silent greed grew, enormous, within him. His scales became thicker and tougher from his great hate towards his sister. His nails grew longer and sharper. And the darkness he created within consumed his face of beauty and turned his face, his very demeanor to look like that of a diabolical menace, slowly breaking his chains which he longed to be freed from. His greed and hate was so powerful that evil beasts started forming from his dark thoughts in many different places across the universe, even the home of the alicorns, destroying everything they could find. The alicorns tried many methods of ridding this evil. At times, they had successfully purified the world of these evil creatures, but in time they would come back even more chaotic and with more hate than before. And thus the first monsters were born. From the point, it was all out war between the equines and monsters. The monsters were powerful and killed many equines that oppose them. All the equine races united in the "Great Fortress" which was created by the great mind of Emperor Vulganaris and safely fought the terrifying beast as one through the rest of that war. The alicorns who had claimed victory of this epic battle called it The Alpha War. But there was no guarantee that the victory was everlasting. The dragon was not angry, for it was apart of his plan for the darkness to take in root on that planet. For once he is free from his chains, the world would doomed to ultimate destruction. If by chance the power that kept the order of the universe were to grow weaker, and The Alpha War was loss, then the world and perhaps the universe would've became a very different place...
20,000 - 10,000 years B.B. After The Alpha War, Empress Lucena, Emperor Astrim, and their fellow brethren were able to rule in a world of peace and order, and Myloria was able to grow and flourish once more. Civilizations were brought about the world, and all the races of the world started their early civilizations, ever multiplying and replenishing the lands of Myloria. The races spread throughout the world and created great tribes and kingdoms. The Alicorns decided on building the first empires and a capital place where all the laws of the land are to be decided, made, and enforced. And thus The Iron Pillars, the first equine government of the world, was born. The First kingdom ever built was The Celestial Empire. It was one the greatest and oldest kingdoms ever to exist. It was home to the ruling family of the alicorns, the home of Empress Lucena and Emperor Astrim. The army was established there, the Royal Grand Galloping Gala was also introduced there, and gave two lovely glows throughout the day and night. This empire was also called the North Wing for its location was north of The Iron Pillars, which was located in the heart of Galdoria. Gladoria was a giant continent that was home two five great empires. Those empires were The Celestial, The Sky, The Mega, The Crystal, and The Griffon Empire. This mighty land started the first of most systems for great civilizations of the equine world. It was said that the great alicorn descended upon the heart that very land... After a thousand years another grand empire was built. It was called the Mega Empire, also called The West Wing for it was located west of The Iron Pillars. This kingdom was known for its massiveness. It was the second oldest of the kingdoms, and was home to a mighty race of earth ponies including the great architect Emperor Vulgaranis and the mighty Empress Vulcanaria. Over ten millenniums, there came about Seven other empires, which were The Sky Empire, which was also know as the East Wing, The Griffon Empire, The Aqua Empire, The Gordo Empire, The Diamond Dog Empire, The Crystal Empire, which was also called the South Wing, and The Zola Empire. These were all the first great equine civilizations. The Sky Empire was built an established for all the pegasi, griffons, and gremlins of the sky. This empire was rules by the great Emperor Seasoris and Empress Seasonaria. It started its first weather team helping Seasoris clear the skies of all the lands of Myloria. The also helped Seasonaria and her four daughters of the winds with the moving of clouds and other types of weather around the world. It was also called the East Wing for it was located east of The Iron Pillars. The Griffon Empire was built for all griffons and all griffon variants. They welcomed all races of Myloria. They inhabitants were known to have warlike and aggressive natures. They held a huge event every year to see who was the toughest equine, and the winner would have to verse the griffon emperor, Emperor Rak Tarnos. The corners of this empire kept and upgraded the ballistas used in The Alpha War to keep their militia as one the of the top ranking in the lands. The griffons were created was kind of awkward. Their anatomy consisted of lion body hind legs followed by the head, wings, front legs of an eagle. They have the ability to clear the skies and fly through the skies quicker than sometimes a pegasus. They have incorporated the skills of war from the earth ponies and made their own battle styles of war for the skies. They're known to be a bellicose kind of equines. They also have quite a few variants as well. The Aqua Empire was the biggest empire of all the oceans. It was built for all life of the sea. It rulers were Emperor Titeranus and Empress Tetanus. Sea ponies are the most populous in the hear of the empire. They help both rulers with the cleaning of the sea and keeping it fresh for all to have a wonderful time throughout. The rulers would meet with all the other leaders of Myloria in the Royal Galloping Gala. Their jobs was always keep away the smooze, and other Sea monsters away from the shores of most lands. The first entrance leading to Tartarus in the waters were located in the heart of the empire. The Crystal Empire was built for all the crystal ponies. The rulers of the empire were Emperor Emeraldalis and Empress Sapphira. This empire was fairly large empire and was the centre of all crystal tradings. The were also called the South Wing and was located south of The Iron Pillars. At its centre just below the castle, floated the Crystal Heart. It was empowered by the love all of the ponies within the empire. Equines from different lands would come there to be filled whole with love overflowing in their hearts. The Zola Empire was built for all the zebras, horses, and donkeys, including all their variants. This empire had the second entrance to Tartarus which was hidden deep within the layers of the empire itself. Its ruler was Empress Zebru, who was also the Lord of Tartarus. Most of their inhabitants were remedy healers who studied the forbidden arts of the Zodiac. It is said they are able to reverse what other equines considered terminal or impossible to cure or reverse. The zebras were created from the sands of Duetus, the desert of the singing winds. They are very natural healing race of equines believing that everything could be solved through the use of natural mixed remedies. They also believe that certain sounds can either make a pony stronger or weaker depending on the tune. They say the winds has taught them how to be one with the nature of Myloria and the universe. They study and practice their minds and bodies. And the challenge the extent of both the physical and mental realms by going up against powerful forces of nature. The Diamond Dog empire was built and establish for all Diamond dogs, Crystal Wolves, and Pony wolves including their variants. This empire was the first threat to all other empires because of their thievery nature. They are mostly known for their cunning craftiness in stealing highly valuable items throughout all the lands. They are a very sophisticated kind of creature. Some variants may appear to be dumb but are actually smart and very clever. And others are just as smart as they look. It is said they have dug a third entrance into the underworld, but no equine was brave enough to find out... And finally, the Gordo Empire was built for all the beasts of the equine world, from Minotaurs to Ursa Majors. All type of monsters dwell within that gargantuan empire. No equine really knows all the secrets held within that empire but all monsters that entered had somehow a liking for the empire. It was said that there was an emperor by the the name of Emperor Golurg who used to rule the entire empire with his mighty power. Some say that he studied Chaoism, the study of the mighty lord of Chaos. They say that when he moved his mace it was like the wrath of chaos himself came over its victims. All the empires of the land were built and the world was ready for its last stage of completion. Once the four wings were built in the four corners of the centre, they were able to do the Peace Ritual which renews the world with the peace of the universe. It casts a shining veil of the entire world keeping the peace, harmony, and connection of the world with the entire universe. All the races of Myloria were well established, and only continued to flourish. All the leaders decided and came together, and made an alliance, so that no war will happen amongst the kingdoms. And thus the "The Mylorian Alliance" was born, to keep order and peace among the kingdoms. It was this alliance the kept the peace firm and strong all throughout Myloria, having all equines live together in harmony. But somewhere deep in the depths of the universe, chaos was slowly breaking free from his chains. Although the universe was in harmony with centre world, Chaos was slowly regaining his mighty strength, the strength that made him the god he was. And as he slowly regained his strength little by little, he started remembering how to manipulate and control certain realms of the universe... ~~~~~~~~~~~ Many years had passed, and the world had flourished in so many ways. The world was only stronger in order and peace, however this way of life did not last forever... Many different creatures were influenced by the shadows that traveled about the earth, and grew bored of living in order and peace, and started lusting for chaos. Each year that passed only grew worst. There was an earth pony who got bored of using magic in harmony with nature and wanted to know what would happen if he were to bend anything in nature according to his will. His desperate desire to bend and twist all forces of nature lead him to a forever cursed magic "Draconian Magic". His name was Ardiez. Another was a pink unicorn who was a well learned student who lived in The Celestial Kingdom under Empress Lucena, but desired to be a alicorn, and her greed to learn more powerful magic flowed all through her mind. Lucena decided not to make him an alicorn in fear she might terrorize all life on Myloria just in search for more power. When that decision was made, she grew angry and left the kingdom. She said that if she wouldn't make her an alicorn to have more power than she will obtain the power herself. She went about the world, searching everywhere for what she had desired, but found nothing. After finally giving up on her journey, she grew angry and wanted to kill herself. Lying on the floor with tears flowing down her cheeks in frustration, a peculiar shadow came up behind her in the form of a beautiful alicorn and said, "So you want more power. I have what you seek, the more you sacrifice, the more you shall have. Only then will you have what you seek." The pink unicorn accepted his offer sacrificing her body without a second thought, and she was immediately changed into a beautiful alicorn with extremely powerful magic, more than she had ever dreamed. But eventually figured out she had been tricked and was completely under the shadow's control. Her name was Ursuna. Over fifty thousand years passed, the world kept growing and multiplying, getting better at all that was good. And so was darkness. Groups were born from the forbidden arts of darkness, making them able to use the powers of the heavens. Eventually there were small rebels that took place in the kingdoms abroad, even kingdoms warring with others. They sent out an alicorn named "Star Glider" to find out if the elder dragon still resided were he was chained. They usually would send him to check up on the plant every while or so. But at the time, all that returned were there meteors; the charred body of Star Glider, and his shackles. Letting the alicorns and the world know that the ancient one returned...
10,000 - 3,000 years B.B. After the leaders of the world got notice of the returning of the dragon, they started to prepare for the worst. But at this point in time groups were on the rise and through the use of their wicked arts they waged many wars with the kingdoms. After some major happenings in the kingdoms and empires across the land, the leaders started searching the world for these criminals. After the leaders of the world got notice of the returning of the dragon, they started to prepare for the worst. But at this point in time groups were on the rise and through the use of their wicked arts they waged many wars with the kingdoms. Some say the groups were rebelling against their leaders. Others said that the source of their rebels was from the practice of Chaoism. It was said that there were seven great sorcerers who wielded the elements of chaos. After some major happenings in the kingdoms and empires across the land, the leaders started searching the world for these criminals. It was said that these sorcerers were the barers of great destruction. Each sorcerer had mastered a deadly sin and a forbidden art. These sorcerers were evil in their own respect, and each resembled their sins both physically and mentally. This era was called "The Tearing of the Great Scrolls" for this represented the fall of the Iron Alliance. All the kingdoms of the different equines and other talking creatures disbanded from the original laws of the land. In was written that it was the increase of the darkness roaming around that may have caused them to disband. As a result kingdoms had to keep away from others in fear of wars or certain deaths. This brought about the end of the Peace Ritual and the full harmony the world had with the universe. These events are otherwise known as the Great Divide. Around this time, the leader of the The Gordo Empire instigated most of the wars that were fought. Under Emperor Golurg, the first emperor, the first assassinations took place. Killing the first leader of the water buffalo tribe, and he killed leaders of other tribes about the lands of Myloria. The Griffon Empire was also in on these plots that had taken place, killing certain equines from different kingdoms across the globe. Because of these wicked acts on top of their carnivorous nature of kidnapping and eating other equines, they have been defeated and were forced to move other lands beyond and never to return again... Over seven milleniums, the lands of myloria only grew more hate towards each other and forgetting the peace and harmony the once had amongst one another. The rate of killings for each equine race grew by the year. Kingdoms start falling apart forming smaller groups. Kingdoms started wars against each other which only brought more pointless bloodshed. It became more difficult for the alicorns to do their tasks, and the groups that studied forbidden arts couldn't perform them at will. All the creatures endured this terrible fall, until his presence was near... The thing that was feared from the very beginning. That great, old Dragon. That what they called an "Ancient Shadow". He was nearing the world... It was written that the weather became chaos and moved about the lands wildly. It was said about the year 3,200 B.B. when this terror took place... About the 3,000 years B.B. was when the world recorded the greatest event of all time "The War of the Mighty". The war of all equines versus carnivorous monsters. The leaders of these war campaigns were Empress Lucena and her friends being and The Great Shadow. The Great Shadow called it his Retribution, his revenge for what was done to him over thirty milleniums ago. He who was called The Great Shadow, The mighty lord of the chaos bringers, the lord of eternal death. He who was called Chaos. He was once the mighty ruler of the universe, sharing harmony with his sister he hated so much. This great and ancient dragon had descended upon all Myloria. His entrance had darken the skies making them almost pitch black. He landed straight on The Iron Pillars completely crushing the connection between the world and the entire universe. The pressure from his landing weakened the walls of the four wings. He opened the entrances and released the monsters from the depths Tartarus, so that they may again fight for Chaos. His presence of darkness spoke great fear in the hearts of all the equines claiming that their lives were at an end and that a new world will be born, a new age of chaos. The armies of all the equine races and the creatures that wanted to remain in harmony prepared themselves and fortified their kingdoms for the worst. But they were all terrified and truly afraid after hearing the mighty lord of all chaos bringers spake. The alicorns and leaders of every kingdom left their homes and confronted The Great Shadow and his minions on the heart land which was then called Land Zero after the complete destruction of The Iron Pillars. It was said this battle was said to be one of the most epic wars of all equin history. The mighty war was intense. The mighty winds of clashing giants caused great explosions of energy destroying most of what nature had to offer. The battle of the motherland lasted several days. The rest of Myloria coward and watched in fear of what their world might go through next. It was also said that the equine leaders couldn't successfully fight off the Elder dragons, the seven barers of the elements of chaos, the draconequus, and Emperor Astrim who was under the complete control of Chaos, so they flew away from the battlefield and as a result the empires were attacked, both soldier and civilians met their horrible fates as the great darkness moved upon the lands. Chaos was very pleased to watch the death of his sister, and that he was getting full revenge on what she had done to him over thirty-seven thousand years ago. The leaders spread their battles all across Myloria. At the point, it was a full scale world war. Chaos main objective in that war was to rebuild a temple that could use the powers of the four wings to connect to the universe and suck it dry of its power. Only then could fully have all the powers of the twelve realms in his grasp. Emperor Emeraldalis and Empress Sapphira was a step ahead of Chaos, and they both combined their powers and used it to teleport the centre of the Crystal Empire to a distant land. Chaos were enraged and killed the two rulers of the South Wing, crushing them under his mighty hand. Before Chaos could complete the structure of the fourth wing, his hands were severed by Empress Lucena and Empress Seasonaria. Chaos had a long and fierce battle with them until he set the lands ablaze with sacred fire weakening Empress Seasonaria and Emperor Towug, ruler of all the forest, who helped along in that fight. Both were incinerated under the mighty fire of the great ruler of darkness. Out of the fire rose three more powerful creatures seeking to devour more helpless equines. The creatures were destroying the empires of all the lands. Star Swirl confronted and defeated the great beasts without any harm done to the rest of majorly destroyed empires, and he tried to help get most of the civilizations across the land to safer lands overseas. Lost of sacrifices were made in that war. Empress Lucena tried to save her husband from the grip of Chaos, but unfortunately had to kill him with her bare hooves on a distant planet. With such regret, the grip of chaos started to control her mind but was unsuccessful. Before he had full grasp of her mind, she plummeted straight into his back and out his stomach. Empress Lucena couldn't fight anymore, her energy was completely drained by the powers of Chaos. Just as she felt the last bit of energy she had drain from her a powerful surge of light beamed down from the heavens and exploded from the earth. She received the direct connection and harmony of the universe and the world, and she, the alicorns, and all the leaders of the world charged up the power within themselves by them touching Empress Lucena turning into sacred beings. They charged up at the great leader of darkness, and the leader of darkness with his sorcerers charged down at them causing a great collide. This collide was so powerful it created a powerful light and knocked the order of mylorian nature into total choas. Clouds were all formed awkwardly, and the earth and sea were hanging lop sided in some places of the world. When the light faded, there was nothing but rumble and destruction in the centre of the motherland. Lucena and Chaos took a pose. They both powered up to their sacred levels, but Chaos was once again too weak to perform a powerful tackle on Lucena. In his last attempt to try crushing Lucena, she used all the powers of the twelve realms and sent him propelling into the atmosphere. All the princesses and princes of the kingdoms had to stay hidden from the darkness that was spread through the air at all cause lest they be consumed or twisted by it. But a few had the unfortunancy of watching the death of their parents which made them perform powerful magics that either chained, locked away, killed some of the diabolic creatures that were destroying the empires and were talked about as old folk tales in later years. When the war had ended, the darkness was pulled up by Empress Luncena using the combined powers of the great zodiacs banished to jupiter for six thousand years. And the world has remained more at peace since then… However, before his banishment of The Great Shadow and the death of Empress Lucena, he told her that in the future advocates would rise from nowhere and will fight his sake and will own powers strong enough to make your apprentices kneel before him till my return. And that the monsters that were defeated in this war shall be raised again and that all their wounds shall heal, and when he returned it shall truly be the end of all peace, the end of his sister forever... After he was chained to the planet Jupiter, Empress Lucena used that bit of energy she had to return the order of the world as much as she could, but she wouldn't be able to raise the sun or the moon for her death was near. As she felt the presence of the planet she felt the energies of all the princesses and princes including her two daughters, Princess Celestia and Luna. With that feeling, she smiled and closed her eyes as she faded away as light, flowing away with the gust of wind the swooped by...
