I Can't Believe I Was So Blind
Chapter 1 GOAL!!!, Part 1 Rainbowdash
"Come on Fluttershy," I whispered quietly. "I need my cleats."
It was the big game today. We were up against the Everfree Timber Wolves. This wouldn't be considered "the big game," but my rival Lightning Dust was on the other team. I had to beat her, she cares only for herself. She would do anything to win. I have to beat her.
Fluttershy came running in with my cleats. Only a minute before the game started. I ran over to the pink-haired girl.
"Thank you so much Fluttershy," I hugged her then took my cleats I had left them at my house so I had called Fluttershy to bring them.
Fluttershy and I have been friends as long as I can remember. One day she was being bullied by a few kids. I had stepped in and helped her. We have been friends ever since.
I had quickly put them on. Once they were tied I stood up and turned around.
"Wait Rainbow," she said in her usual quite voice.
"What is it?" I said turning back around.
"Never mind, I'll tell you after the game."
"Okay, see you after the game," I said turning back around. I ran out, the game was starting in a few seconds.
I managed to get a small pep talk in be for the game.
The game had started. We would score then they would or they would then we would. The score was tied through the whole game.
I had the ball everyone watching and cheering me on. Then I feel a sharp pain in my left ankle. I fell to the ground and looked up, Lightning Dust had stomped on my ankle. I got up ever step hurts so much, I try to ignore it.
It was dowwn to the last fe minutes of the game. I started trying even harder. The score has been tied. Once I get the ball I start heading towards the goal.
Everything grew quite as I went to kick the ball. As soon my foot made contact with the ball a huge smile spread across my face. The thought of it going threw the goal and beating the Timber Wolves and winning this for the Wonder Colts. I'll be a hero.
It was a goal! I was jumping with excitement, the crowd was roaring, Lightning Dust had just kicked over a garbage can, and the rest of my team was celebrating. Then I felt a sharp pain in my leg from when Lightning Dust had stomped on my ankle. Maybe jumping wasn't such a great idea.
After we were done celebrating I went to see Fluttershy. Fluttershy was right off the field waiting for me. She looked really excited.
"Congratulations!" she yelled. It was a yell for her a whisper to anyone else. She is one of the few people that knows about my rivalry with Lightning Dust.
Then the weirdest thing ever happened. Fluttershy kissed me! Fluttershy the shiest person in the world just straight up kissed me.
I was so confused. Apparently it showed because she grew pale, the look on her face was indescribable.
I had stepped back. "Wh-what the heck just happened?" I asked as I took a step back.
"I-I," is all she said before running off.
This is almost as weird the time that girl Twilight Sparkle came here.
