The ocean's depths are as old as time itself. The secrets it can hold are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Even the millions of species of marine life is greatly enormous within it's massive fathoms. However even with all of it's secrets there is one that has and will always remain its most difficult to unravel. Within the deepest parts of the ocean's depths, lays a legendary leviathan. The beast was from the planet's long ago ancient past. A past that never again shall see the light of day. Because of that past, this creature has slumbered for what seemed to be an eternity. Now it shall soon awaken to the world it once knew gone and changed far beyond what it ever imagined. It shall awaken an Ancient creature in a New and strange world. He had been sleeping for what seemed to be eons. Yet this day, something had disturbed it's long and peaceful slumber. The creature stirred slightly in it's sleep as an odd sensation tugged at it's senses. After trying to fight against it the beast's eyes snapped wide open out of irritation. "What dare disrupt my sleep?" thought the creature. But as he looked around, he found nothing physically there that could possibly awaken him. He the slowly rose to his full 100 meter height. The beast thought it may have better luck of surveying it's surroundings. Sadly he still found not trace of anything nearby that could wake him. Getting curious the monster decided to try it's luck above the water instead. Perhaps it may find what had awakened it there. If not, then it shall seek the nearest piece of land to continue it's search. The leviathan then used it's long powerful tail to help launch itself up toward the surface of the ocean's waves. "It was only a matter of time now. And this odd feeling will vanish. Then perhaps, I can return to my sleep." thought the beast. With that thought running through it's mind the leviathan speed up it's pace to reach the sea's surface as quickly as possible. Meanwhile within the confines of a small town that was nestled nicely in a fairly large valley. Inside this quaint little town the citizens were all snug in their beds dreaming of what they had encountered during that day. Or what they may encounter the following day. Although the towns folk were not what one would think of who may live there. They were far from human at least in shape and form. Though in mind they very well may have been even if not more advanced. They all walked on not two but four legs and had hooves as apposed to hands or feet. Their bodies were covered in fine fur coats which came in so many colors that they may have out stripped the stars in the sky in number. They had inherited the planet long ago when the last dominant species had died out. They were ponies, and the land they inhabited was known as Equestria. It was a peaceful land that had seen little to no war in it's time of existence. And the small town that was within it's near center was known as Ponyville. But, all except one Ponyville citizen was fast asleep. She was mainly a mint green in color. Her mane and tail were cyan with white highlights streaks in color. The young mare's eyes were an amber like gold. A horn of about 5-6 inches in length jutted from her forehead. The last and most obvious feature to this young mare was her cutie mark of a stringed instrument called a lyre. The young mare's name was Lyra Heartstrings. A unicorn with an interesting and odd obsessive hobby. One that most other ponies would find far beyond crazy. Lyra's hobby was the study of anthropology. The study of creatures once known as humans! The humans were a fairly  scientifically and technologically advanced race of beings. Their appearance, was what some may describe as close to if not exactly like hairless apes. They unlike ponies walked on two legs and feet as apposed to hooves. They had gone to the farthest reaches of the darkest depths of the ocean and the farthest reaches of the solar system. They had several nations much like Equestria as well that they resided within. Their accomplishments knew nearly no bonds. However, even they had their weaknesses. Their pride and arrogance had wound up becoming their undoing. Though even that alone was only part of their inevitable demise. There was one other aspect that decimated them in the end. Their war with a race of creatures that challenged them for dominance over the earth. These creatures also had a leader much like the human nations had their own. However the leader of these beasts was far more horrifying then anything the humans had ever seen. The origin of Lyra's love for human society is unknown. But most if not all the other ponies in Ponyville found it very odd. But at the same time they learned to accept it. Though on this day Lyra would find something of the human's past that will now change her perspective of them forever. She had been up for hours at a time reading and studying the humans as they would study dinosaurs or even superheros. Her collection of books and scrolls on their civilization was far beyond any other in Ponyville if not all of Equestria itself. This night in particular she had been reading some books the humans had made themselves. These books had been remade by Princess Celestia herself with the hopes that she may teach her subjects of this almost forgotten race. Sadly only a very select few ponies would find these books. And even fewer would find them interesting and would want to know more of the humans. Lyra Heartstrings was fortunately one such pony. Lyra like many obsessive fans of "fictitious" things, has extensive knowledge of the one main subject she fauns over. Unfortunately like other obsessive fans. She studies her favorite subject each day until the near break of dawn. Which as all know very well, is not good for ones health in any way. "Ah man, I wonder how long I've been up for now?!" said the young fanatic mare. "I hope these old books haven't kept me up till morning again!" Lyra then looked over at the small clock on her night stand and saw the time. Her eyes widened slightly at what time she had seen on the time telling device. " 5:00 in the morning!?!?!" Lyra said surprised and agitated. "I gotta get to bed ASAP!!!" As Lyra had got up from her bedroom floor to get some sleep. She had stumbled upon, in a literal fashion, a small book that she had seemed to nearly over look in her studies. "WOAH!" cried Lyra as she fell face first onto her bedroom floor. "Ouch, what did I trip on?" Looking at were her back hooves had been standing. She noticed the small book that caused her to stumble. " What the hay is THAT book?! I never noticed it before!"  Picking up the book, Lyra then saw what the tile was upon it's cover. "Gods among us: The history and biology of the earth's many Daikaiju." She stared at the book for several seconds until she asked the most obvious question. "What's a Daikaiju? And what do they have to do with the humans?" the mint green mare asked herself aloud. She then snapped herself out of her short trance as she then remembered what the time was. Quickly putting the book down, Lyra then as fast as possible. Jumped into bed hoping to get just enough sleep for her return trip to Big Oak Library the following day. Back in the ocean's waves, a leviathan broke through the water's surface. The beast was mainly reptilian in it's whole structure. However there was some small traces of slight feral like features in it's facial structure. Maple leaf like spiked dorsal plates lined the beast's back from it's shoulders all the way down to the tip of it's long powerful tail. These dorsal plates clattered together as the mighty beast moved whether it was through land or sea. The beast's hide was stronger than any known metal alloy and was a dark charcoal grey to nearly black in color. Also it's style was similar to tree bark as many would have described when the humans were still alive. The creature's maw was lined with duel rows of razor sharp teeth within each jaw. It's claws on it's forearms and feet as well were razor sharp. This mighty monster was given a name by the human nation Japan. This name was derived from one of their thousands of ancient myths and legends. It's name was of an old sea dragon that would cause havoc on a village if not appeased by a sacrifice of a young maiden. It's name was Gojira, Densetsu no Kaiju Ouja. When the human nation America also known as the United States, caught wind of this might beast. They translated it's name to what the world would soon know as Godzilla, Legendary King of Monsters! Godzilla did not care of the title it was given by the humans nor the name they had given him. All he had cared for was the food his body needed to survive, and to destroy all who dare challenge him for his home and territory. He then felt that odd sensation which had awoken him earlier. Godzilla surveyed the water's surface but still could not find anything that may have caused his sleep to be disrupted. Snorting in annoyance, the king of monsters felt it necessary to seek the nearest land mass. In doing so he had hoped that the answers he desired would then be found. Godzilla then used his heightened sense of smell to seek out any nearby land. After a few seconds he was successful. Pleased with this his new find, the Kaiju King then headed in the direction of land. Unfortunately, the very land that Godzilla was headed toward was very much populated. The following day, Lyra was awake at around near noon. This was a bit later than she had hoped to be up. But considering how late she had stayed awake the previous night, this was about adequate. Stretching as she rose from her bed, Lyra made a mental list of what she wanted to accomplish that day. "Alright, time to seize the day and find out about that book!" Excited about the answers she may receive about her newest discovery, Lyra got ready for her day as quickly as she possibly could. Lyra after showering and sprucing up her mane a slight bit, grabbed her saddle bag and proceeded out the door to Big Oak library. Her roommate and good friend Bonbon noticed Lyra's slightly unusual happiness and was curious of what made her so excited. Bonbon was a beige colored mare whose mane is blue with a rose pink streak and cerulean eyes. She had known Lyra for quite some time now and had learned to just accept her friend's obsession with the the human myths and legends. "So were are you going in such a hurry this after noon Lyra?" Bonbon asked out of curiosity as she noticed Lyra nearly sprinting toward their front door. "Oh hey Bonbon. I'm just headed back to the library to ask Twilight about a book I found in my stash upstairs." Lyra said. Bonbon was a slight tad shocked at this response. Since when did Lyra NOT know anything about humans? She thought. But then again Lyra had nearly every book that could exist about them. So if another one did pop out of the wood work, of course Lyra would go look for information on it. She bid her friend good luck on her search and watched her run off toward the library once again at near sprinting speed. As Lyra was in front of the library doors, she started to get nervous and insure if Twilight had any knowledge of the book she has found. But a little voice in here head had told here to keep going and gather the information she needed. As those thoughts ran through her head. A small purple dragon was waving his claws in front of her face to get her attention. This dragon was named Spike, he was Twilight Sparkle's number one assistant and one of her oldest friends. Though from casual observation, one would think they had a brother sister relationship. Which really wasn't too far from the truth. "So uh, are you gonna come in or just stand there all day?!" asked the small dragon impatiently. Lyra snapped out of her self induced trance and blushed light from embarrassment. Then walk into the library, she was face to face with the walled shelves that were filled with various kind of literature. "With all these books i'm bound to find what I need to help understand this book!" Lyra thought with hope in her heart. Spike of course had followed her inside after shrugging his shoulders at the mint green mare's reaction to his presence. "Hey Twilight I got those extra quills and rolls of parchment like you asked" exclaimed the plucky young dragon. Spiked walked toward a lavender hued mare with dark purple mane with magenta highlights. Her eyes were an average purple in color which matched her mane. A horn of about 6-7 inches in length jutted from her forehead. A set of wings roughly 5 feet in span were calmly relaxed at her sides. Her name was Twilight Sparkle the newest princess to the land Equestria. "Oh hi again Lyra, how are you today?" the lavender book worm asked the mint green mare. Lyra smiled and reached in to her saddle bag. From within it she retrieved the very book she sought information about. "I have a few questions about this book. I really hope you can help me Twilight." Lyra said with pleading hope in here voice. Twilight smiled and motioned for Lyra to join her at the circular table in the library's center. Lyra set the book upon the table for twilight to get a better view of it. However when she had seen the cover. Twilight had as many questions about the tome as Lyra had since the previous night. "I'm really not sure what to think of this Lyra. After all I've never seen this book before!" Twilight exclaimed. Lyra was shocked and surprised at hearing this. Of all the ponies she has known over the years Lyra had hoped that Twilight might know something about this odd book. As she sighed in defeat, the anthro crazy mare was about to pack up the book and head home. That is until Twilight had gently set a hoof on Lyra's shoulder. "I may not know anything but maybe I have a few other books that could help! After all it's worth a shot right?!" Twilight suggested. Lyra perked up at this and nodded happily to the new lavender princess. Twilight then walked over to one of her many book shelves and started to look through them for anything that might be of assistance. Several hours had gone by, And night was nearly over Ponyille. But after searching trough every book within Big Oak Library. Neither Twilight nor Lyra could fin anything of use. To them there seemed no possible way as to solve this strange predicament. Or so they had thought at first. Until Twilight had come up with an interesting idea. "Lyra I think I have an idea that may shed some light on this whole thing." Twilight said joyfully. Lyra looked at her confused at first, but then started to think twilight may be onto something as she listened further. "If you go and see Zecora, I bet you anything she'll have even the smallest bit of knowledge on these Daikaiju things!" the lavender mare continued with ever growing excitement. Lyra smiled nearly ear to ear at this revelation. How she hadn't thought of that herself to begin with was beyond her. But she figured it was worth a shot. "That's not a bad idea Twilight. I think I'll try it. Thanks for the help." Lyra said as she packed up her things and left. Twilight waved good by and wished the mint green mare all the luck in Equestria. With new found hope in her heart Lyra raced off to the Everfree Forest to Zecora's hut for the answers she had desired. Still swimming at around a top speed of 45 knots Godzilla had figured that if he kept this speed. He would reach land within a few days. Nearly a sixteenth of the way there as he was, the king of monsters savored his inevitable land fall. He then started to ponder what he may find once he did hit land. Would the humans still exist or have they perished? Or perhaps he would find others of his own kind. Whatever the case Godzilla knew one thing was for certain, he would find the answers he sought at any cost. Deciding to recheck his bearings, Godzilla stopped and sniffed the air once more. As he turned toward his right. He could smell the scent of land far better than before. Changing his direction ever so slightly. The nuclear leviathan continued his journey. Lyra after having spent several hours traversing the some what treacherous landscape of the Everfree Forest. The mint green unicorn had finally arrived at the small hut that was the home of Zecora the zebra. Although the prospect of possibly getting the answers she sought about her mysterious book excited her. She still had an ever so slight fear of Zecora from when she had first arrived in Ponyville about three years ago. But her burning curiosity had gotten the best of her once again. Thus, Lyra hesitantly yet gently knocked on Zecora's door. Lyra waited a few moments before trying her luck again by knocking though, slight hard and more assertive this time. The door was once again as still as a wall while the anthro-curious mare waited for somepony to hopefully answer. After what seemed like several minutes. Lyra had given up and was just about to leave. When suddenly a voice from behind her had sacred her senseless. Lyra jumped a foot or so in the air and hid behind the nearest tree. After a moment or two she heard some slight chuckling from were she had just been standing. Peeking out from behind her hiding spot, Lyra saw the very zebra she wanted to see staring back at her. "I am sorry for the fright. But please, tell me brings you here this night?" asked Zecora with a slight African accent. Zecora looked like a typical zebra. But she wore gold rings around her neck which went from her collar bone to just below her bottom jaw. As well as around her left leg on her shin. She also had large golden earrings as well. Lyra stuttered for several seconds desperately trying to explain her journey to the zebra's home. But for one reason or another. Lyra was unable to do so, thus her words had gotten stuck in her throat. But Zecora being the good natured pony as she was, had smiled warmly at Lyra and gestured for her to come inside with her. "Perhaps if you do not mind. Would you like to follow me inside?' Zecora asked Lyra with a warm and inviting tone in her voice. Though still a bi nervous of Zecora herself. Lyra followed Zecora inside to hopefully and finally get her answers. Zecora's hut was an interesting and charming place to Lyra once she was inside. Various tribal masks and knickknacks from her native land decorated the walls and shelves. Though the most eye catching piece that Zecora had according to Lyra, was the large cauldron in the very center of the hut. Zecora watched Lyra for a few seconds as the anthro crazy mare gawk in wonder at her collection of items. However Zecora could tell that Lyra had a reason to see her since she had arrived at the zebra's home so late in the day. So with out any further delays, Zecora asked Lyra why she was there. "Ms. Heartstrings I must implore. But, what has made come knocking on my door?" asked the gray toned zebra. Zecora's question snapped Lyra out of her trance. "Oh, right, sorry Zecora. I guess I got distracted by all of you stuff." Lyra said sheepishly. Zecora again chuckled at Lyra's reaction. Puling out the book that's caused her a lot of trouble all day. Lyra asked Zecora if she knew anything about it. Zecora examined the book for several minutes. At this point Zecora couldn't help but ask the most obvious question. "Might I ask from who's home, where you received such a curious tome?" Lyra responded saying, "I got it from Twilight's place. I asked her about it first since she's a bookworm and all. But she didn't know anything about it." Zecora asked Lyra if she could borrow the book for a few days and see if she could find out anything about it. Lyra agreed and bid Zecora goodbye and thanked her for her help. Zecora thanked Lyra for visiting and retreated back inside to start her research. As Lyra made her way home. She couldn't help but ponder about her new mysterious book of creatures called Daikaiju. Several days had gone by and Zecora had decided to see Lyra about the book she had lent her around a week ago. After being let in by Bonbon, Zecora waited at their dinning room table for Lyra to come down stairs. "So Zecora, have you found out anything about that book yet?" Lyra asked excitedly. Zecora nodded a bit solemnly at this question. Lyra being curious as always asked Zecora of what she found. "This book is an omen of horrible disaster. It tells of creatures that can protect or cause destruction!" Zecora said. "Creatures of destruction?! Like super dragons or something?!" Lyra queried. Zecora shook her head in response. "These creatures are worse then any dragon. For where ever they tread, they cause ruin and devastation." Zecora replied.  Lyra was now getting worried. "What have I stumbled upon this time?" Lyra asked herself. Night had fallen upon the land of Equestria, as things seemed to have calmed for the evening. However off the coast of a city known as Manehattan. A disturbance in the waters near the harbor caught the eyes of all nearby. This night would soon be anything but calm. Meanwhile in the central area of the city, the citizens were unaware of the soon to happen chaos in the harbor. The cities' usual hustle and bustle went on as if nothing was wrong. Several ponies were shopping or trying to catch a taxi in hopes of getting to their destination as quickly as possible. Two stallions in particular were having trouble trying to get a taxi but to no avail. "You know, we could just try to teleport or fly to the Bridleway theater!" exclaims a deep sky blue pegasus. His friend sighed in frustration at the comment. "That may be true, but i'd rather not try it.' replied a violet unicorn. "After all even if we did we still don't know where it is!" The pegasus merely sighed and crossed is fore legs in frustration at his friends comment. After several more tries the two stallions had finally succeeded in gaining a taxi. The driver was a slightly dark gamboge with a tow toned deep sapphire blue mane and tail. "So boys were are ya two headed?" asked the cabbie. "We're headed to the bridleway theater sir." stated the violet stallion. "We're also in a bit of a hurry. We missed the first train here to Manehatten and are running a tad late." The cab driver chuckled lightly and smiled reassuringly. "You're in good hooves boys. Hop in!" said the driver. The two stallions smiled in great relief and hoped into the cab with no hesitation. However as the two stallions and several other ponies were worried about getting to their destinations. Manehatten harbor was about to be come far more lively then normal. A few fishercolts were on a small dock trying to if at all catch anything that may bite at their submerged bated hooks. Though as the night started to become darker and later, they started to realize that their efforts were all in vain. But as they were about to pack up and leave. The water just a few hundred feet away star tried to bubble and boil as if water would in a pot on the stove. "Say what do ya think that is?" asked on of the fishercolts to his friend. The two continued to stare at the water with wonder and curiosity. "Not sure, but I'm sure it's nothing. Let's go home." said the other stallion. The two fishing enthusiast stallions turned to leave, but as they had A massive tail erupted from the waves and crashed down only seconds later. The waves the tail had made washed over the docks ad the two fisher colts turning their attention back toward the ocean. They watched in terror as massive dorsal plates slowly rose from the oceans waters. But they had become entangled in pure horror as the beasts full form could now be seen. "EVERYPONY RUN!!! IT'S A HUGE SEA DRAGON!!!!" cried on of the two stallions as he ran desperately for his life. The king of monsters had reached land fall. And this new land would be his new territory. The legendary leviathan let loose a bellowing roar of challenge and dominance to all that could hear him. This cry echoed his new rule over Equestria and it's populace. Even within a range of 3 mile away could the beast's call be heard with some clarity. Once again Godzilla had yet found what had awakened him. Giving a call of annoyance, the atomic dragon would take his frustrations out upon this nest these small four legged ants had created. They reminded Godzilla of the humans from long ago. "They have similar nests as the two legged human ants from last I was awake!" thought the thermonuclear terror to himself. "If they have similar nests then they are themselves similar!" Godzilla's raged burned even brighter as he remembered the various machines the humans had used against him. All he wanted was solitude and peace. Yet they had never given that to him. Only two humans had shown any sort of compassion to him and his kind. That did not matter any longer. All he wanted was to vent his rage and this ant nest would suffice for the time being. The spiked dorsal plates that adorned the creature's back flashed a brilliant neon blue for only a second or two. Then with out warning a beam of neon blue and sliver white washed over an entire city block. Turning it into nothing but an inferno that began to engulf the surrounding structures. Ponies ran for their lives in a horrified panic they had never experienced before. Meanwhile within the center area of the majestic city. The stallions had finally reached their destination. "Well here ya go boys the Bridleway theater." said the cabbie. The two stallions paid their fare and went inside.  The theater it'self wasn't too different from the Broadway theater the humans would frequent. In fact they served the very same function. Both were made to entertain people and ponies alike with various shows and plays. Plays that consisted of Phantom of the Opera for the humans that went to Broadway. Or in the case of the ponies there were plays such as Hinny of the Hills.  Both were wonderful buildings with rich and interesting history. However the two stallions weren't pondering those things at the time. They had other things on their minds. The violet stallion walked up to the receptionist's desk a tad cautiously. The receptionist in question was a mare with a light lavender coat. Her mane and tail were cream in color while here eyes were auburn. She was busy with typing away on a small type writer and not fully paying attention to the violet stallion in front of her. "Excuse me miss, but we're here looking for a mare by the name of Coco Pommel. Is she still in the theater or has she left already for the train station?" asked the violet stallion.  The receptionist looked up at the stallion for a second or two and pointed to her right. "She's to the right, down the hall and about 5 doors to your left. Thank you and have a nice day." she said with little to no enthusiasm. The violet stallion sighed in frustration but thanked her kindly for the information. The two stallions then made their way to were the receptionist mare had indicated. At that very moment  young mare with an off-white coat while her mane ad tail were a two-toned shade of blue. Her name was Coco Pommel, the  former assistant of Suri Polomare. She had been given the task of helping the cast of several of  Bridleway's play with their costume designs and creation. Her new assignment had sent her to Ponyville to become the assistant of Rarity. Ponyville's very own fashion designer and seamstress. "I can't wait to see miss Rarity again. I wonder what she'll need me for?" Coco asked herself as she packed up the last of her things. She was about to tape shut her last box of things when a knock at her office door made her jump. Quickly calming herself down and walked over toward the door. Upon opening the door she was greeted by two stallions. One had a slightly dark sky blue coat, dark brown mane and tail which had a dark red lighting bolt highlight run their full lengths. His eyes were brown in color and his cutie-mark was a lighting bolt the same shade as the highlights in his mane and tail. The other was a violet coated stallion with dark brown mane and eyes. Hes eyes also had a slight greenish tinge to them as well. His cutie-mark was a crescent moon with a slight cloud formation covering the moon slightly. The violet stallion spoke first. "Hello, I'm Moonlight Knight and this is Lightning Ace. You must be Coco Pommel correct?" asked the stallion. "Yes I am. I was informed that you two were coming. It's nice to meet you both." Coco replied. "Well we should be going now. I'm guessing all this is your stuff right?" Asked Lightning Ace. "Yes I'll have a bellhop come and help us with them." With that Coco went to the front desk. But at that moment, hey felt the ground shake as if an earthquake had happened. But at the same time they heard a sound close to thunder. "What the hay is that?"' Think we should check it out?" Lightning asked Moonlight. "I suppose but we really should get Coco to the train station NOW!" "We're late as it is!" Moonlight exclaimed. "Lightning nodded and helped the bellhop who just arrived with putting the bags on the trolley. As the four ponies were getting the bags into the same cab from earlier. More thunder sounding quakes began to arrive closer toward the theater.  "What is that? An earthquake or something?" Asked the cabbi. Suddenly a loud ear piercing roar could be heard. All who had the misfortune to hear it covered their ears in searing pain. But also trembled with fear of what may have made the call. "Let's get out of here now! We'll be fine one we get to the station!' stated Moonlight. Lightning nodded and told the cabbi to drive as fast as possible once they and Coco were in the cab. But as they sped off, they saw something that filled them with dread and horror. A massive beast that seemed to destroy all in it's path. Moonlight sadly albeit barely recognized the beast from a book he read when he was a young colt. The city disrupted from it's peace and tranquility had no been turned into a hellish nightmare all within a few minutes. Buildings crumbled like ginger bread houses while steal beams snapped like toothpicks. Ponies ran for their lives in fear and terror. Some lay buried under rubble dead or dieing. And what ever wasn't crushed or smashed into oblivion, was burned to the ground by atomic fire. The whole of Manehatten  was turned into a sea of flames. A city of death and destruction. The creature responsible for this horrendous scene was a beast of ravage and ruin. A beast that had become a living god. A god of destruction and desolation. And soon the whole of Equestria would know and fear it's name. Godzilla!
