chapter 1
Starswirl's horn grew bright as short beams of magic flew out the tip,changing the colour of several poison joke flowers
lined on a tall table in the middle of the room.Two princesses stood besides him in awe as pink.green,purple and blue
poison jokes stood before them,They had never used magic this high in level before.Even after two years of studying
magic with Starswirl they where still amazed at what he was capable of (even if it was changing something's colour)
After Starswirl had finished both princesses's looked up to him, in a hope to have a turn at this type of magic.
starswirl of course would refuse them the offer as always,still remembering a accident that had happened a few days ago with the maids being flung out the windows.
"I'm sorry girls" he said
"but I'm afraid your not ready yet and Luna I'm afraid your power is much weaker than Celestia's"
"but can we try the levitating spell again?" the young Luna asked charging her horn a bit
"of course not!" shouted Starswirl
Luna looked down in disappointment Starswirl wasn't going to change is mind
"Now as you see girls each poison joke has changed colour, do any of you know what this means?"
both princesses shook there heads in unison
"when poison joke change colour it also changes there abilities".
"blue of course changes the body,purple the mind,pink your race and green can change anything about you but it is permanent".
"What's a poison joke?" asked Tia curiously. Starswirl was surprised had he really not told them about poison joke?.
"Good question Tia,a poison joke is a type of flower that causes chaos on anyone who touches it".
"For example a old friend of mine,lord Rainstorm touched one once and his horn was taken away for at least a week."
"and his title was near-" Starswirl stopped interrupted by a loud knocking at the door.
"You should go know girls I think I know who that is".
Just as the two girls left a slightly inpatient maid open the door
"sorry sir but your guests have arrived there kinda right here...."
Levitating a large book and looking firmly at the maid he softly stated
"let them in"
and just as he did three large yet powerful looking unicorns entered, however none where as powerful as him.
"Sorry sir" one muttered gracefully "we kinda...let ourselves in"Annoyed but calm he let them lay in there
seats and proceed with the meeting.
Starswirl had practised months for this but he wasn't nervous far from it, he knew this spell no matter how hard would work perfectly. Because he made it and he was the most powerful unicorn in Equestria. Nothing could go wrong.
"so why have you brought us here today" spoke the eldest of the three,raising a eyebrow at what the blue unicorn had come up with next.
"well" said starswirl happily
"many months ago while studying the biology of changlings compared to ponies I came across the spell that changlings use to
copy other pony's abilities".
"That's nothing new" mocked the unicorn in the middle of the row "you'ell know that me and Moonwand here have already done many things in that subject in the past"
"indeed" laughed Moonwand laughing him in the face
"are you judging My magical abilities!" yelled Starswirl angrily
though he was normally calm he had a quick temper
"now as i was saying" he went on "though a lot of research and study i have found if you change a few elements of this
spell it can make a incredibly powerful type of spell".
"And what spell is that?" asked Moonwand
"A time spell" spoke Starswirl calmly rising his head high
all three unicorns opened there mouths in shock they knew Starswirl was powerful but was he that powerful?
Moonwand even dropped the scroll he was holding of his recent spells witch would look like nothing compared to a time spell.
"B-B-BUT THATS IMPOSSIBLE" yelled the middle pony,who's name was Greenlight
"it might not even be safe......in legend it says that he who goes though a time portal is burnt to death"
"exactly why I'm going to prove that wrong".
Opening the large book Starswirl read the vast complicated words in his head making a large bright dot appear in the room
beside him.Closing his eyes and blocking out the rambling by the other three ponies his horn grew brighter and brighter along
with the dot.Soon it was so bight all the ponies had to close there eyes and cover there eyes with there hooves as the
portal devoured Starswirl little by little in a golden mist "what the hay is going on?" Screamed Moonwand as he cowered under the table feeling the small tremors that shook the room.
Soon after what felt like forever,the bright mist vanished as the three unicorns came out of cover,gasping at the black soot
that covered the floor where Starswirl stood. "Ow my" gasped Greenlight as Starswirl's book flew in front of her the book open and the pages slightly burnt.
"Twilight" spike moaned clinging to his bed "do you really have to work on your magic now its twelve in the mourning!"
"not now spike" twilight hissed "I'm a princess now and princesses have to work no matter what the time!".
Twilight continued reading the book,Spike was right but she had been workng on this spell for a while
now and she wanted it to be perfect".
Just as twilight was about to turn the page the library was covered in a strange gold mist ,surrounding twilight.
Chapter 2
"I-I-IMPOSSIBLE!!!!" shouted Twilight as the golden mist covered her knees and was still rising up.
Spike,frightened had ran almost instantly to her side close to one of her legs as she stared down at the monstrous golden soup
from the floor below."AHHHHHhhhhh" screamed Twilight as she felt several books fall to the floor.
Starswirl was falling he didn't know how or where,but he definitely was falling.Spiral's of golden smoke surrounded the blue stallion as he descended into the never-ending pit also occupied by.......several other copies of him? Yet how did he get here again? wasn't he just in the meeting with Moonwand and Greenlight and that other pony who NEVER said his name.But then he remembered that he had cast the time spell and he had been sent,in to what he called the "time stream".
Greenlight and Moonwand must think im dead.. he thought as he fell through the mist But tnen they haven't done a time spell before Moonwand will never be as powerful as me to pull of a time spell Greenlight im not so sure... .
Greenlight and the others had never been as powerful as him but Greenlight was always very close.Since they where all fillys they used to test each other in there magic skills Starswirl always prevailing and Greenlight close behind.Buck even when they where teenagers he had developed a crush on her.....but he was to old for that stuff now and he needed to study... Looking into the bottom of this place,another purple swirl appeared.Butut this one appeared to be flat.Crashing down into the portal all he saw was gold.......and books
Starswirl dizzy but confident cast the mist away with his magic several minutes after most of the smoke cleared off.
Time spells always make the user dizzy,no matter what.Getting up and cleaning him self off a bit Starswirl took in his surroundingshe appeared to be in a rather large library,surrounding him sat several shelves of books about magic and lamps
but how far into the future was he?.
Out of the corner of his eye Starswirl quickly saw a lavender mare looking at him in utmost disbelieve
"Y-y-yy-yo-your" Twilight was only able to say as she flew down from the second floor.Her eye twitched as she approached
the unicorn she had only ever read about and seen on the posters she had as a filly.
"YOUR N-N NOT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE!" she screamed as she nodded him slightly with her hoof.
Starswirl felling rather uncomfortable moved the alicorn aside to walk out when he was suddenly held by what he felt was very powerful magic.
"Starswirl the be-b-ea....beaded!!!!!!"she screamed fangirlingly while placing him in one of her chairs
"excuse me miss but who exactly do you think you are treating me like THAT!" Starswirl scoffed while sitting on the chair.
"Now if you do behave in a civilized manner can you tell me how far in the future i am? five maybe six years?"
"What?" Twilight thought to herself "well he did use a time spell"
"that's the exact thing I'm working on......Its different from the time spell i used last time of course, it can make you stay in a place forever however they have to wait a whole moon before they can go back......." Twilight accidentally said allowed.
"Are you even listening to me?" Starswirl continued
"Well......The books I have say you disappeared around.....
A small baby dragon appeared at her side a confused yet cautious look on his face.
"Its this one Twilight..." Spike said uncomfortably giving the book to Twilight.
"oh yes Thank you spike" Twilight said opening the book witch read "The magical biography of Starswirl the bearded"
While Twilight was reading Spike noticed that Starswirl was looking at him in a form of Disgust,Starswirl hated pets especially dragons since some had wreaked his town once when he had taken one of there eggs for experimentation.Dragons in his mind where wild,crazy and vicious,Living for 1000's of years only dragon hunters could kill adult dragons but this baby one Starswirl could kill himself but he wouldn't dare go near It.
"ah here we are......" said Twilight finding the right page in the book
"Starswirl the bearded while in his monthly sessions with 3 other unicorns had used a time spell never seen before to
pony-kind and had disappeared in golden smoke,never to be seen as of yet" Twilight growing interested (yet she had read this thousands of times) read on "Some say he travelled in to the past before Equestria even existed or to the end of the universe but what we can tell is that he disappeared around 2500 years ago by old manuscripts but has always been remembered".
Starswirl was shocked had his mind and magic really taken him 2500 years into the future?
WHO was this purple alicorn?
,Buck that HOW was she a alicorn?
Twilight looked back at Starswirl,Starswirl looked at Twilight
"buck" groaned Starswirl getting out of his chair
"Well i guess I'll have to stay with you and that prurient dragon of yours for a week"
"hey!" yelled Spike Angriley
Twilight took everything in for a bit she was going to have to stay with STARSWIRL for a whole week........................
