It is spring time in Equestria, the sun is shining bright and the not a cloud in the sky but what can you expect from Rainbow Dash. "She is the best flyer in Equestria!" but it all started at Rarity's Boutique. Fluttershy was hoping to spend time with Rarity after Rarity's return from canterlot for a fashion show. She quickly ran in screaming to Rarity,
"Your back, your back!"
Repeatedly she jumped up in down with joy after weeks of her in Canterlot. The others had not as much as excitement as Fluttershy though, it seemed Fluttershy wasn't herself with Rarity. She was louder and more talkative than Pinkie Pie when she is alone with Rarity. It was something special they had between each other, something no one ever think of. Rarity was so joyed to see Fluttershy though she gave her a hug and said,
"I am glad to see you again Fluttershy, all those hours in Canterlot got exhausting, just let me unpack my things and we will go spend a day at the spa, so I can relax for once."
Fluttershy was still jumping up in down glad to see Rarity and she took off running to the spa to set up an appointment for Rarity and her to spend the day. Once Rarity got too the spa she quickly and accidentally slammed her head into the lock door of the spa. She rubbed her head with a painful look on her face and quickly realized the spa was closed for the day. Fluttershy ran back to the Boutique to tell Rarity. Before she ran inside, Rarity opened the door and Fluttershy stomped her hooves into the ground and stop and Rarity was giggling while Fluttershy was getting up off the ground. Rarity announced,
" I forgot the spa was closed today so how about we go walk too my favorite spot in the Evergreen forest."
Fluttershy was so shocked she had to question
"I thought you didn't like the wilderness and especially the dark and scary Evergreen forest!?!"
Rarity quickly replied,
" I do, but theirs a path to a spot I like to relax in and it helps me think and take off stress of things. It's worth getting a little dirty, besides the dirt is dry and stick-less so it won't stick to either of us."
Fluttershy was still really confused and shocked that Rarity wasn't afraid to get a little dirty but she wasn't really thinking and they went off to the Evergreen forest. Rarity was leading the way on the path and while it was turning dark the stars and moon started to shine down on the forest while the fireflies were flying around flashing making it a beautiful sight. Rarity still leading the way and looks back at Fluttershy and smiles and mentions,
" Fluttershy, I just want you too know that you are a great friend and no pony deserves to be your friend."
Fluttershy replied,
" I'm not that great of a pony, I'm just lucky to have ponies like you as a friend."
Rarity then blushed and looked forward noticing that they were at the spot Rarity was talking about. It was a hilly plain that had no trees just long grass and a wide open area big enough just to fit a small farm. It was over looking a mountain over Equestria. Rarity then sat down and ask Fluttershy to join her in the soft grass. It was a beautiful sight. You could see Canterlot and Ponyville and you could see the lights from both places shine with a beautiful night sky and a full moon shining in the sky while the fireflies were flashing. A breeze blew giving off a scent of the flowers of the forest and the grass blowing to left of each pony. Rarity looked over to Fluttershy and asked her,
"Can I tell you something Fluttershy, something I wouldn't tell any pony in Equestria not even Pinkie Pie when she pinkie promises."
Fluttershy smiled and closed her eyes and said,
" Of course Rarity!"
Rarity then tried to speak but got a little sick and try to speak.
"Fluttershy.......I like you." Rarity mentioned.
Fluttershy smiled and said
"I like you too Rarity."
and without thinking Rarity ask,
" Do you know how much I like you?"
Fluttershy looked studdard and continued with it.
"A whole bunch!"
Fluttershy shouted. Rarity then looked down with a upset look and a tear rolled down her face. Fluttershy finally caught up and knew what was going on and caught up. She held Rarity's head and kissed her without noticed. Rarity blushed and couldn't look at Fluttershy because it was so surprising to her. She looked at Fluttershy and said,
" You knew?"
Fluttershy replied
"I knew once that tear ran down your cheek, it wasn't a tear of happiness but it was a tear of fear."
Rarity was surprised at the wisdom Fluttershy had and quickly smiled. Fluttershy quickly looked away though and said,
" I can't be with you though, I have been hiding something from every pony, even you because I never wanted to let any of you know."
Rarity was silent and Fluttershy continued to speak
" I just don't want to break your heart when the day comes."
Rarity shouted ,
" What's going to happen please tell me."
Fluttershy went back to being quiet but replied with a tear
"I'm dying, Rarity!"
Rarity's heart broke in front of her and she started to cry. Fluttershy turned and ran in to the Evergreen forest to get away and be alone. Fluttershy had no idea where she was at she just kept on running further into the wood, while Rarity was trying to catch up to her. Even though Rarity couldn't see Fluttershy in the thickness of the wilderness she kept on running with faith the she will find Fluttershy. Fluttershy ran across a long and just laid in the logged and wallowed in her tears and with Rarity worried and screaming for Fluttershy she still couldn't find her. Rarity was tired and worried of Fluttershy and she stopped in her place screaming loud enough where Fluttershy could hear her just enough to understand her.
"Fluttershy, please come out, follow my voice, I just want to help!!!"
After hours of her screaming her voice became weary and she ballowed and laid down too tired to stand. After Fluttershy stopped hearing the screams she came out quietly and while she was doing this the log rolled over releasing the dead tree and it feel down right on Fluttershy's right back hoove and wing. She screamed at the top of her lungs in pain, Rarity heard this and had a adrinline boose and got up and ran too the noises. She finally found Fluttershy but she was hurt. She was bleeding and tears rolling down her eyes. She looked up and saw Rarity, and said in a painful voice,
" I'm sorry Rarity, I'm sorry I never told you and I'm sorry I ran away!"
Rarity said,
" No time for that we have to get this tree off you."
Rarity tried to push it off but couldn't she was too weak and weary from the running. It was turning dawn and Rarity noticed that the tree punctured a vein in Fluttershy's right wing. It was too far out to get help and she didn't have enough strength too push it off her. Fluttershy got weaker and looked at Rarity and said her last words,
"Rarity, I love you but this is the end, tell the other ponies I love them and I'll miss them."
Rarity was still trying to push the tree screaming with tears.
"This is not the end don't you say that."
Fluttershy quietly started to close her eyes, and when Rarity noticed there was nothing she could do she took Fluttershy's hoove and kissed her one last time and said,
" I love you too."
Fluttershy then passed away. Later that day Twilight started to walk through the woods looking for ingredients and heard crying, Spike jumped off Twilight's back and ran toward the noises. Spike then noticed what had happened and quietly walked to Fluttershy's remains and looked at Rarity and said
"This can't be, how could anything like this happen to such a innocent pony?"
Twilight followed in behind and quickly glimpsed at the issue, she used her magic to remove the tree from off of Fluttershy but she had no power that could bring her back to life. Even though she tried many spells and Spike tried to wake her up by pushing her gently nothing worked. Twilight finally held her head down and said to Spike and Rarity,
"I'm sorry, but there is nothing we can do all we can do is bring her back to Ponyville."
Rarity and Twilight cleaned off the blood and covered the wound and carried her back to Ponyville in silence. That night Rarity grabbed the scrapbook Fluttershy made her and she tried to remember all of the good memories they shared with each other, She was devastated looking at the book and set it too the side. Rarity couldn't believed what had happened, not even her designing clothes made her happy. The next day came the Funeral, and the preacher stallion started the funeral while all the ponies were wallowing in tears but mostly Rarity which was sitting up front. The Preacher Stallion pulled out Fluttershy's diary which said in the front,
"When I'm gone read this book and you will know the truth."
The Stallion read but when he got to the 12 page he said,
" Rarity is the pony I will always truly love, their is no other pony like her I want to be with for the rest of my life, and if you are reading this Rarity, I just want you too know I will always love you and you will always be in my heart t'll the day I die and the day that I pass will be The Day We Tear."
