Equestrian Lore: Ancient Lands

The Summary

The Celestial Empire was known as one of the greatest empires and one of the most uniquely built structures in the history of Myloria. It was entirely built out of magic in its purest form. The mass of the empire stretched out about 5,000 km all around. It was always ruled by the supreme alicorns Empress Lucena and Emperor Astrim.

It was used as a giant fortress prior to its magnificent creation in the "Alpha War". The fortress was well guarded by the bat pony and pony stallions. At its edges laid large ballistas loaded and ready to take down and wild beast that neared its gates. Since then it has been the birth place for most of the magic that goes about being used today.

It strangely disappeared at the "War of the Mighty" and no one seems to know who did it or why it was done. Most scholars say the only ones able to answer or find the answers where the princesses since they have direct royal blood to their ancestors.

The Story

The Celestial Empire was built from 33,000-31,000 B.B. and existed from 31,000-3,000 B.B. It used to exist across the seas of the Equestrian Lands, west of Canterlot. This mighty Empire of magic had been long forgotten to a time of great terrifying darkness. It was located near what used to be "Galacon". It was a mighty empire of the time and of the "old world". It was home to Princess Celestia's ancestors, the ruling leaders of the alicorns, Empress Lucena and Emperor Astrim.

  It was a massive and magnificent castle which was made solely from magic, magic in its purest form. Every last thing in the empire was built from top to bottom solely out of magic, from the streets to the highest skyscraper. It started the tradition of the "Royal Galloping Gala" which is know today as the "Grand Galloping Gala" where all the Emperor's and Empress's of the world would dine, which happened one night in the middle of every year.This great empire would shine with glory when the sun rose, and when the moon rose at night it would give the city such a glow it only made the night an ever more pleasant sight for those who sat up late to see it. Empress Lucena and her pony guards guarded the day, and Emperor Astrim and his bat pony guards ruled the night.

This great empire was home to one thousand of the strongest and most skilled royal guards of the time. They offered great protection throughout the empire, and all the lands of Myloria. The royal guards of this empire were made up of many different races, but at large the alicorn and bat pony kind where dominant. It was home to all of the alicorns until a few started to build and establish their own empires.

The structure and how the empire was made was truly unique, and could've only been done from the great architectural mind of Emperor Vulganaris. This empire took the longest to make for it was made from three different mass patterns of the starry heavens. All who had flown over this magnificent empire were only amazed by its pure beauty. Its edges were designed and shape like that of stars. Most major cities in the empire were made off the star constellations.

This empire was also home to creating the first set of magic known to the equestrian universe. All magics that were developed by the alicorns of old were welcome into the kingdom until a certain magic was used that gave the inhabitants a real scare when the user of the magic art rotted into flesh and bones. They believed it to be some cursed magic. After a certain magician called his knowledge of magic necromancy, that and the seven cursed magic arts were banished from all the empires of the lands, never to be used again...

No one really knows the mystery behind the disappearance of this great empire, but it vanished after "The War of the Mighty" never to be seen by any race that tread upon or flew over its grounds again...

Those supposed location of this mighty empire is now inhabited by the cursed tree of "Galacon". Most travelers and scholars say that it could be brought back, but only the Princesses would know since they have a direct bloodline with the ancestors.

Going In Depth

The Giant Fortress

During the time of the Alpha War, Vulganaris and some fellow alicorns help build one of the biggest battle fortresses of the time. The fortress towered over 800 ft., scaling past the highest monster of the time which were the Pony Giants and Trolls. The deadly ballistas were made for the draconequus and Ursa Major which were controlled by the powerful magic of The Great Shadow. This defense held strong for a century around the end of the Alpha War.

This fortress was built for the sole purpose of having Queen Zebru, Overlord of Tartarus, develop a powerful spell that sucked all the fowl beast of the lands within the depths of Tartarus.
