Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Once upon a time, there was a small village that was home to a young beautiful unicorn filly. She was charming in every way. Her mane and tail were silver and her coat was as white as snow. It was said that a colt couldn’t help but stare at her beauty for a minute. She was a very obedient girl, and was kind to everypony that lived in the village.

One day, a necromancer came to the village to stay a few days. No one wanted to speak to him but somehow the mare was interested in the cloaked figure and desired to know about him.

One evening, he needed to buy some grocery but didn’t know why everytime he ventured to one the villagers would just simply be closed. He thought it was because of who he was portrayed as. The filly looking at him walked over and offered him supper at her place.

She and her family treated him very well. The next day the necromancer had to leave, but the you filly was ever so nice to him. He being pleased with her hospitality gave her a bottle of wine. He told the little filly to hide it and that when she grew older, she was only to sip thirteen times from the cup. With that the necromancer kindly left the village.

A few years passed and the filly was then a full grown mare, and her beauty was irresistible. Stallions fell in love with her. Some would’ve done anything to get with her. She was one of the most beautiful mares in the land.

But after a few years she grew old, and her body started to wrinkle. She didn’t want to be ugly so she drunk another dose of the wine. After she drunk the dose, her body loss its wrinkles, and she looked not an age over twenty. By that time she already had gone over drinking the wine thirteen times.

The villagers started questioning her appearance. They wanted to call her a witch but had done nothing wrong at the time.

A plague of sickness passed through the village and it started killing some and making others very sick, but the mare was unaffected by this sickness. The villagers started calling her names like a heretic or witch. After days of being called such evil, she was tied up and sent far away without a trial.

They brought her to a distant land and tied her to a pole. The land was filled with violent creatures, they knew she wouldn’t last for long.

Days and weeks passed, and the mare was dying of starvation. She looked up at the skies and that’s when a pleasant shadow came up to her. It was more beautiful than she could’ve ever imagined. It walked and stood right before.

“You’re gonna die here all alone. Isn’t that terrible? To die alone in the middle of nowhere.”

The unicorn mare looked into the eyes of the beautiful shadow.

“Yes. But it’s not worst than being old and ugly, and no one likes you anymore. I wanted by loved for my beauty forever even if its means death.”

The shadow slanted its eyes.

“Hmm, if that’s what you so desire then your wish has been granted.”

The shadow manifested itself with the mare, and snow started to appear and increase all of the land.

All that ventured through loved it for its beauty. But no equine could venture too long out in the “Frozen North” lest they be forever encased in ice. They called it the Frozen North after the rare event of the north having snow for before that event the north was never frozen...
