//-------------------------------------------------------// Bladeheart -by Sonic Rain Cloud- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Childhood. //-------------------------------------------------------// Childhood. Maybe this is the time I should introduce myself. I’m Light Armour, I used to live in the ever free forest were I was raised by some bat ponies. They called themselves the night lights, that’s what my bat dad said anyway. I loved it there, even if I didn’t know I wasn't a bat pony. They tried to teach me how to fly, it was a big mistake. I fell into some brambles; the thorns were digging into my coat so I screamed, until somepony dragged me out. The pony swung me onto his back and flew of. The last thing I saw of the bat ponies was them being evacuated from the village. My bat mum and dad sobbing from their lost child. I was pretty young when this happened so I wasn’t effected that badly, but I guess I was devastated before I realised I didn’t belong there. I was stuck in a castle suite in solitude for a while. The royal Guards told me that I belonged to a family in Canterlot, but I didn’t want to believe it. I tried telling them that I was a bat pony, but they just sighed and went. Five minutes later they came back with a mirror, and plopped me next to it. There was the first time I saw that cyan coat, Black and blue mane and yellow eyes, and normal wings. They were a bit red but I was already patched up from the brambles. I failed to believe that this was me for a while. I still believed that I was a bat pony. Until they decided I should go home. I cannot describe how it felt seeing my real parents again. For a second I thought that the purple unicorn and the blue pegesi were strangers. But then I remembered what happened, plus the Guard explained everything. Turns out my house got invaded when I was just a baby pony. The bat ponies decided to take the most precious thing some family’s ever owned, they ended up with me, a cart, a business deal and a hoofball. So I ended up being brought up in the everfree Forest for five years, forgetting my actual family and thinking I was a bat pony. That’s my childhood up to six years of age done and dusted then. Nothing really happened until I was 10. I bonded with my real family, now I feel the pain of leaving them even more when I last saw my bat family for the last time. But when I was 10 I saw my bat family in jail. I sort of drove my bat dad crazy by yelling at them for kidnapping me in the first place. Luckily the same guard that rescued me from them saved me again, before he even had a chance of hurting me “Watch out kid. These ponies are master criminals.” Bladeheart (He told me his name later) said “Oh... I remember you! Do you think I can be a royal Guard when I’m older? Like you!” I asked him “Well, let’s ask that new cutie mark huh.” He replied. I looked at my flank and there was a blue shield with a silver lightning bolt covering it, my cutie mark. I hung onto Bladeheart as he added me onto a list of pines that should be told when he…. I didn’t read the rest as he put me on the floor and dashed off. I went home after that, I was playing my game with my Pikachu suit on as my mum token a picture of me, when after an hour dad came home, he wanted to see mum in the kitchen, without me, but I wasn’t stupid, I knew it was bad. When they walked back out I was standing there. Wanting to know what they were talking about. “Darling, remember that nice Royal Guard you met, Bladeheart.” She said her hair was sticking up so I just nodded. “He was sent to protect the city from an attack, but he didn’t…” “He didn't win! Is he gonna be ok?” I shouted, startling them both. “They did win, but I was told at work that he didn’t make it.” He muttered, hoping that I heard so he didn’t have to say it again. And I did, the pony that saved me twice and brought me here was gone, yet again I was devastated, this time I still cry when thinking about it. He is the reason I’m getting prepared for this mission. The reason I didn’t end up as what I thought my talent was at the bat place, messing things up. Enough on Bladeheart now, what about those years going from filly to mare, or was I a mare when Bladeheart…..yea let’s go with filly to mare. I did well at school, until he joined, my bat pony brother. “Hey I recognise that kid, she got my parents arrested GET HER!” He shouted. I got chased by half the school around the building, but he decided to pick me up and fly me to the top of the very high building. I decided to say sorry, but not beg. I still have some dignity left from all this. He pushed me of when what my mum calls, Bladeheart instincts kicked in and I flew into a tree and called the Guards from my mobile, they rushed in arresting my bat brother and helping me get down from the tree, and from that moment on, I was accepted as a royal guard. I left school so they could train me, and sometimes they even let me go out with another guard to help as backup. So at 16 I graduated from training and got my armour, they say its light to fit my name, and I moved into my new flat right next to the castle, my pet Bladeheart (Named after him) Lives here to. So ending my childhood tales, I’m now ready for battle. Author's Note My first fan fiction at 13, Good huh? Just let me know ;) //-------------------------------------------------------// The start //-------------------------------------------------------// The start So now I’m explaining how this all really happened, keep that in mind so you remember this is not a live TV show or anything like that. Ok you good? Let’s go… I was at the bar with some Guard buddies, and one of them really upset me enough to run away from Canterlot, to do something stupid, and it went something like this. I was sitting at the barstool, drinking some of the fresh cider they sell, when a Royal Guard walked in. The Guard looked at me and smiled as is he knew me, he sat next to my bar stool and ordered this drink. I sighed and rolled my eyes after he drank it. “Gotta problem Lighty?” He asked “Or do you not know me huh? Names Heavy Scout.” He shouted proudly. “How come you think I don’t know you? I’M YOUR COMMANDER!” I shouted back. “Ease up, Nightlights giving you grief again…” He paused, watching my face turn from annoyed to anxious. “Wasn’t that stallion you’re friend, the one who tried to protect his daughter? Pretty stupid if you ask me. ” That’s when I stormed out, and grabbed my armour to look for whom I wished to rescue; I owe it to Bladeheart to find his long lost daughter. After getting ready I flew for hours, and then token up camp by a lake, I stared at the silver water. “Don’t worry, I’ll find her! You saved my life, I’ll save yours, just passed on.” I muttered to the stars reflection. The glistening moonlight made my eyes sparkle as I looked up to it. Slowly I shut my eyes and fell asleep, the tip of my hoofs stroking the silky lake water. The next mooring I got up got my bags and flew west. “CYAN PONY! HELP ME I’M TRAPPED!” I heard then straight after that, a gunshot. My wings stopped flapping and I went straight onto the ground. After waking up I was picked up by lots of bat ponies, then it hit me. Heavy told me the truth, the Nightlights are back. “You found her, my daughter!” The leader shouted when they threw me on the floor. My bat Dad stood proudly above me, smirk on his face. “How am I you’re daughter? YOU FOALNAPPED ME! I DIDN’T BELONG HERE!” I let it all out; bat dad looked shocked and devastated, but looked confused at the other bat pony they threw in. “Let me go!” She shouted “You’re not my Dad either! I BELONG TO BLADEHEART!” She looked at me, like she knew me, maybe Bladeheart told her about this filly that he rescued, and looked after. I sighed knowing I failed him, and started crying right there in front of everypony. Bat dad looked startled. “Look, you don’t have to be my daughter just…” His face went white when he noticed what I was wearing. “GET HER!” He shouted so suddenly. They all jumped on top of me, capturing me since I was already weak from falling. They pushed me into a cell and locked the gate, pushed a tray of mushy food and walked away. I felt a cold shiver and looked around There was a water bowl, like I’ there pet dog or something, maybe I am now. In the corner there was a hole in the ground padded with metal, a toilet. The food tray was next to the letter box. I just sat there in the middle, thinking of what I just let happen. “I’M SO SORRY! YOU TRUSTED ME AND I’M SO SORRY!” I sobbed, repeating myself like a broken record. All the other prisoners were staring at me, and my armour. I just sighed and got up, then all I felt was pain, falling back onto the floor. “What’s wrong?” A voice asked. I looked everywhere until realising I’m probably crazy and it’s in my head “Who are you?” I asked the voice as it chuckled “Poor kid. Don’t you remember me? Bladeheart.” He replied as I tried to get up again. “I’m sorry I let you down.” “When was that? You have my sword in your armour you know from when they gave it to you, now NEVER GIVE UP! GOT IT?” “I’ll never give up; even if I have to fly to the highest cloud I’ll never give up!” I token out his sword out from my armour and busted the door down with it, Straight away alerting the bat guards. “Clever bat ponies.” I muttered and ran off, adrenaline stopping me from collapsing in pain. I smashed through the bat filly’s cell. “Get on my back!” She did what she was told and I got her to a safe place to relax for a minute. “Your covered in….BLOOD!” She whispered to in in horror. Looking at a nearby cracked mirror I noticed I was wounded really badly. Filled with panic I dropped the sword and looked at myself until I heard a group of ponies after us. Quickly I grabbed the sword back and hid the bat filly in a corner. “I know, but how come you’re a…you know.” I asked “A nightlight, my mother’s one of them.” I stepped back, pondering on how that could be, Maybe I got the wrong filly. “But you’re Dad’s a guard, right?” Her head turned towards me in surprise. “YOU KNOW MY DAD!” She screamed. After I told her to shush I told her everything that has happened until right this moment. Her eyes sparkled every time I mentioned Bladeheart’s name, until I got to where he died, and tears started rolling down her cheeks. I tried to comfort her, it didn’t work, but as we heard hoof steps from upstairs we both stopped. “We’re going to die aren’t we, but like heroes.” She looked me with her bright blue eyes. “Just like my dad.” I smiled as I grabbed the sword, threw her on my back and flew away; I couldn’t fly straight, and landed straight onto a balcony and blacked out. Author's Note Sorry about this taking a month. Moving house stinks sometimes.
