lightning rumbled overhead from the top of Mt Coronet, a few large pokemon faced off to a small army of others, pokemon such as Crobat, Raticate and Mighteyena growled at the six pokemon facing them
"I said I would stop you again Cyrus, I don't care how you got out, i'll make sure you stay in this time" called a young man, whom was wearing a khaki green jacket with a tan undershirt, with khaki cargo pants and red tinted goggles resting over his eyes, to his adversary, an elder man with a gaunt face, whom was wearing a grey vest with vertical stripes at the bottom and a G symbol over the left side of his chest, a white shirt underneath with black sleeves and black pants, the gaunt man smirked
"I never said it was team Galactic alone Ian, you may be the champion of six regions, but I have the one thing that will always overwhelm you" Cyrus said, his voice eerily calm, Ian clenched his fist, his eldest and closest friend turned to him with a concerned look on his face
"blaas, blastoise" Blastoise, the Tortoise Tank said to his trainer, Ian nodded at his first pokemon, knowing what it was suggesting, he raised his left wrist up, the wristband facing away from him
"okay boys, you know the drill" Ian said, pressing the purple stone imbedded into the stone band, bright flashes of light surrounded three of his six pokemon
Blastoise grew a large cannon protruding out of it's back, and smaller ones from it's wrists
a Tyranitar's back grew many large spines, a few more appearing on his knees and head, his formerly blue underbelly had turned a deep crimson colour
and his Garchomp's arm fins merged with the attached claws, forming red blades, more spikes grew out of his chest and knees
the three Mega pokemon roared angrily at their foes, their other brethren cried their own battle cries out
Metagross stomped his large steel leg as a few nearby boulders levitated in it's psychic grip
Tyrantrum roared and snorted like a bull, scraping one of it's powerful legs along the ground
Volcarona lit up in flames bright enough to rival the celestial body that the Sun Bug pokemon represented
Cyrus began a slow clap at the intimidating pokemon in front of him
"impressive power, that of the Mega evolution, and your other pokemon aren't all that unimpressive either, but it wont be enough, I only called you here to inform you of an alliance of sorts I have formed" Cyrus said, a few grunts backed up from him, Ian heard more footsteps from behind him as well
he wheeled around to come face to face to more old foes of his, one, a man with shockingly red hair and an equally red outfit with some black parts, a red symbol of an M on the black part of his shirt showed him as a man of team Magma, the other, a man sporting a goatee and a bright blue bandanna wore a navy blue suit, the white A symbol on his bandanna showed him as a member of team Aqua, Ian looked startled at their appearance
"Maxie and Archie? you teamed up with team Magma and team Aqua?" Ian asked, Maxie gave Ian a manic grin
"oh no, not just us, we knew that even with three teams you could come out ahead, so a few more friends decided to join the party" the crazy fire maniac said, pointing in the direction that a slow clapping was coming from
two more men stepped forward, one wore a black suit with a red R stitched into the breast pocket, his short hair and sinister expression gave him the appearance of someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alleyway, the other had a large mane of red hair, his short beard having the same Hue, he wore a black fur jacket with red highlights, this was the only man so far with no symbol etched into his outfit, now Ian looked a bit scared
"Giovanni and Lysandre too? wow, you are not pulling any punches this time" Ian said, frightened slightly, a sinister laugh echoed from behind him, Ian turned sharply at this, that laugh was one he would never forget
the man behind him was clothed in a large robe, one side yellow with eye designs in purple, the other an exact color swap, with purple background and yellow eye designs, the brown leather part around the man's shoulders sported a stylized symbol of a P over a Z on a shield in the colours of black and white, the man's head was covered in pale green hair and some sort of eye patch adorned his right eye, the man carried a staff topped with his symbol, despite not needing it, his slow sinister laugh continued
"Ghetsis" Ian breathed angrily, at the only foe that truly sought to rule the world, Ghetsis laughed once more
"good to see you again boy, i am still disappointed that you allowed Zekrom to go free, you could have ruled with it by your side" Ghetsis said, Ian clenched his fists in anger once more
"no man deserved to hold that much power in his hands" Ian said, angry at the man that had almost succeded in stealing all the pokemon of the Unova region, Cyrus spoke up once more
"the boy who befriended the legends of the world... that's what they call you now Ian, but you always let those legends free, enlighten us" the gaunt man said
"no pokemon is a tool, and legends must stay so, if I claimed to be the sole owner of any of them, then i would be no better than any of you, because some legends are best kept as just that; legends" Ian said, Lysandre smirked
"and yet here we are, all six of us together, and you all alone, where is your friendship and harmony now? you have no Mew, no Ho-oh, no Rayquaza, no Giratina, no Zekrom and certainly no Yveltal, how can you defeat us without your trump cards?" the scientific genius asked, Ian glanced at the only empty path away from his Nemesies
"I will find a way, Blastoise! cover me!" Ian said, as Blastoise trained it's cannons at separate targets as Ian ran for his Metagross, the leaders of the various groups ducked for cover from the torrential blasts of water
Ian jumped up on top of Metagross' back, as the psychic tank started to take off, he returned his other pokemon as he held on for dear life, wondering why the heck he decided to bring the flat topped think-tank as his getaway vehicle as the Steel and Psychic type pokemon rocketed off for Sandgem town to alert professor Rowan of the recent epidemic
as Ghetsis commanded the grunts not to intercept the trainer, Cyrus turned to Lysandre
"how is the extradimensional project coming along? how long until we can get the being that came to us here?" the gaunt man asked the red haired genius
"it is done, the chaos bringer will be here soon, and then once he tears open the rift from this side, we will be able to claim a fresh new world for ourselves, one free from the sins of man" Lysandre replied, tapping away at his PDA
"excellent, soon we will be rid of this world and those who would dare to stop us" Ghetsis said as a large helicopter landed, the six men climbed into the large transport as it took off from the largest peak in the Sinnoh region
Twilight Sparkle hummed a happy little tune to herself as she went about her day, she had decided to visit a friend of hers today, the spirit of Chaos, Discord, had recently had a house set up in Ponyville, and the lavender unicorn hadn't visited the spirit since the housewarming party a week prior
as she came up to the front door, she noticed that it was open a crack, and she could hear a voice from inside
"im going to open a one way gate to the Distortion World now Lysandre, be ready to open a gateway for myself once I arrive, i dont wish to have a run in with Giratina" came the voice of none other than Discord himself, then, another voice, unknown to her also came from inside
"of course, I cannot wait to claim this, 'Equestria', so we shall begin once you arrive Discord" came the new voice, Twilight realized something at this point, Discord was plotting with this 'Lysandre' character to take over Equestria, she had to stop him and contacting Celestia would take too long
Twilight burst into the room as Discord disappeared into a portal in a flash of bright light, Twilight's eyes widened at the thought of Discord getting away, and the portal was slowly closing itself, the lavender unicorn braced herself as she
plunged into the portal to this 'Distortion World'
Giratina was unamused, he had detected two intruders enter his realm, but when he went to investigate, all he found was what seemed like a small unconscious purple human, he thought for a second before coming to a conclusion; this being was not one of the ones his father had created, so his greatest friend might be interested in it
the large Ghost Dragon picked the small human up in it's shadowy tentacle, and opened an entryway to his friend Ian before flying into the real world
in which planning is done
Ian landed next to professor Rowan's lab, the one ton psychic tank causing a small earthquake with touchdown, alerting the people inside the Sinnoh region's only pokemon lab, Ian walked inside and was met with a scene he never thought he would see
sitting around the lounge area in a corner of the lab was a few trainers he never expected to see in the same room
an older grey haired man sat beside a rowdy blonde boy as he practically shrieked into the ear of the poor green haired boy next to him that he owed him 1 million Poke that he was right that it was Ian at the door, a slightly older boy with crimson hair looked about ready to deck the obnoxious blonde in the face and the equally aged indigo haired boy nearby looked like he would happily hold the blonde down for the scarlet haired boy, while the eldest boy(next to the older man) whom had brown hair and the only girl, whom had blonde hair captured under a red hat in the group talked about old memories before the girl had to move from Pallet town all the way over to the Kalos region
it looked like hell itself had decided to drop all his friends into the same room as him
"ah, Ian, i see you are back from Mt Coronet, how was it?" the elderly man, Professor Rowan, asked, having become desensitized to the blonde, Barry's antics a long time ago and not noticing the racket, Ian frowned at Rowan
"it was horrible... but what i want to know the most, is why everyone is here?" Ian asked, now gathering the full attention of the entire group
"well, from what everyone has been saying, it seems like all of your old nemesis have all escaped custody and convened here in Sinnoh" Rowan said calmly, Ian grimaced
"yeah, I know that already" Ian said unhappily, and that was when the flood gates opened wide open
"WHAT!? you ALREADY know that!? why did you let them get away! I'm fining you 10 million poke mister!" Barry screeched, lunging at Ian, the quieter trainer caught the loudmouth and set him back down on the lounge suite, Wally, the green haired boy, edging away from him
"calm down Barry, even you know that I can't take even one team out all on my own, heck, I needed yours and Dawn's help to stop team Galactic in the first place" Ian said as Barry pouted with crossed arms
"so what do we do now? wait for 'em ta show up?" the brunette boy, Gary, asked, as the scarlet haired and indigo haired boys, Silver and Hugh respectively, regained their calm poker faces, Ian shook his head
"that's about all we CAN do at the moment, we don't know where they are hiding, and even then, all six are working together, we may need more help than just us this time" Ian said
"well, I think I know of a way we can get a bit stronger at the least" the girl, Serena, said, standing up and presenting her left wrist, upon which sat a similar ring to Ian's "I can get Professor Sycamore to send Mega rings and Mega stones over, it would help us in one way to get stronger", Ian nodded
"good thinking Serena, more Mega evolutions will help drastically, what stones would we need then?" Ian said, all the trainers looked thoughtful before Gary came up with an idea
"how 'bout this, we list our pokemon, and you tell us which can mega evolve and we get the stones for them" Gary said, Ian nodded thoughtfully
"good idea, list 'em out guys" he said
----10 minutes later----
"so that's 2 Heracronite, 2 Alakazamite, a Tyranitarite, a Gyradosite, a Venusaurite, a Gardevoirite, a Gengarite and 4 Mega Rings, sending them now" a much younger man than Rowan over the video call, Professor Sycamore, said
"thanks Professor, those will really help us against team RockAquMaGalactiPlasFlare" Ian said, he got unamused stares from everyone, "what? that's the best name I could come up for them on the spot" he said, defending himself, Serena shook her head before distributing the rings and stones to the respective trainers that can use them
"so, to use mega evolution, you must activate the Mega Ring while you have the respective pokemon holding their stone, lets give it a try outside" Ian quickly explained before everyone stepped outside, but as they walked outside, a portal opened up in the air above them and a large pokemon flew outside of it, before landing in the middle of the small seaside town
those who hadn't seen the majestic Ghost Dragon before stepped backwards in shock, which basically meant everyone except Ian, Rowan and Barry, Ian walked up to the large shadowy dragon
"hey Giratina, how've you been?" Ian asked politely, the large dragon king of the Distortion World responded with a happy and hearty cry of it's name, Ian grinned and patted the pokemon's knee
Giratina dropped it's wing down to the ground and a shadowy tendril came out, holding a short lavender form, Ian furrowed his brows at the unconscious person his friend had deposited on the ground next to him, the young man kneeled down to the unconscious form beside him and examined it
It was a young girl with lavender skin, her hair was deep indigo with a streak of lighter violet, and another streak of magenta, she wore a white shirt with a purple sweater vest over the top, over the breast patch was a symbol of a magenta six pointed star, surrounded by five smaller white ones, she also wore a purple knee length skirt, also sporting the star symbol
Ian frowned, she wasn't a normal person by any degree, he had never seen anyone with skin the colour hers was
"who are you?" he whispered under his breath, Gary put a hand on his shoulder, causing Ian to look up at his friend and rival
"whoever she is, we should get her to somewhere more comfortable than the ground, lets take her inside and keep an eye on her, hopefully we may be able to figure something out once she wakes up" Gary said, Ian nodded to his old friend before speaking
"right, lets get her inside" Ian said before picking her up bridal style and carrying her inside
light flooded into her vision as Twilight cracked open an eye, temporarily blinding her, she had a massive headache as she had accidentally head-butted a rock on her way through the portal
she raised her hand to her face, shielding out some of the light and allowing her eyes to adjust to the light of the room
she started to sit up, she felt a blanket she didn't notice fall from her form, she looked around the unassuming room, it was not very decorated, she could hear the songs of birds from outside and signs of conversation from another room nearby
as she went to stand up she heard a voice very clearly from outside the door
"I'm gonna check on her guys" it said, it was a male voice, one she didn't recognise, before she knew it the door was open, and she was staring into the face of a young man
"good to see you awake" he said with a small smile, Twilight kept on looking for longer than she realised, as the young man spoke up once more
"like what you see eh?" he asked with a joking tone and an eyebrow wiggle, Twilight blushed and looked away
"sorry" she mumbled, she felt a hand clamp down on her shoulder, it was a soothing touch from such a crude sounding boy for some reason
"don't fret, 'twas only a joke" he said sincerely while looking Twilight in the eyes, "now, we have a few questions for you miss, please answer truthfully" he said, leading Twilight out of the room and to a group of other people she didn't know, she took a seat between the green haired and red haired boys, the green haired one gave her a small smile and the red haired one seemed to have a permanent scowl etched into his face
"first things first, introductions" came an older sounding voice, Twilight glanced in it's direction, seeing an older greying man in a lab coat, the first boy, the one with the weird goggles, outstretched his hand in a sign of greeting
"I'm Ian Lake from Pallet town, champion of the Johto/Kanto league, the Hoenn league, the Sinnoh league, the Unova league and the Kalos league" he said, a cocky grin on his face as he listed off the areas he was 'champion' of, Twilight shook his hand
"Gary Oak of Pallet town, leader of the Viridian gym and Ex-champion of the Johto/Kanto league" said the brunette boy, a calm smirk on his face, also extending his hand, Twilight shook his too
"Silver Rock" the scarlet haired boy said simply, not even offering his hand, Twilight was confused as to why this boy didn't give a list of achievements or place of origin like the first two
"I'm Wally Burg from Petalburg City" the green haired boy said with a smile, offering his hand, which Twilight shook happily
"'Im Barry! the best trainer in all of Sinnoh!" the blonde haired boy said quite loudly, extending his hand to Twilight, she tentatively shook it, wondering why this boy didn't give her a second name
"Hugh Tone of Aspertia City" said the indigo haired boy, calmly extending a hand, Twilight shook it equally as calm before turning to the last of the younger people to be introduced
"I'm Serena Serenity of Vaniville town" said the girl with a warm smile and an outstretched hand, Twilight shook it with an equally warm smile on her own before turning to the elderly man
"and I, young lady, am Professor Rowan" the grey haired man said with a smile and an outstretched hand, which Twilight shook eagerly, Twilight knew it was now her time to introduce herself, but then she remembered why she jumped through that portal
"my name is Twilight Sparkle... and I believe your world is in grave danger"
