//-------------------------------------------------------// The tale of Trixie -by PonyEssence- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A special filly //-------------------------------------------------------// A special filly So comes a day in the life of everypony that they are born to the world. But this is the forgotten story of Trixie Lulamoon, a unicorn born on the last minute of the last day of the last month of every year, for only the most special and talented of ponies are born on this great, cold and white night at the very time. This is the special time that Trixie is given to the world, 4 balls watching, them belonging to the parents. The parents of a special child who's future can not be told and who's  future is created by the pony who lives it, the rare pony that can write her own story but does not know it. And so, our story begins in the farthest depths of Equestria, a land that has no real name except to those who inhabit it. A place called Tyris Plege to those(sounds like plague (EX. black plague)). A black earth stallion lays in the back of the waring room sleeping on a small pile of hay that he has collected for himself. His dark blue mane and tail falls to the floor and his cutie mark is a muzzle with a flash behind it to represent public speacking. His violet eyes dance in his skull as he dreams about his coming future. He dreams of the child that he is to so soon have and mentally questions himself. A filly or a colt? What will it be like? what will it behave like? How will do with others? Questions race through his mind, at such a speed he does not have time to ponder them. What will its special talent be? Will it make friends? Will it be strong willed? Will it gain the emotions, positive or negative, from others? The stallion wakes from his sleep, taking in the full concept of his home. He first sees his stained black wood walls and the room which makes a perfect square and has only 1 window and 1 door. He gratefully takes in the presence of the home, considering with every second that he is fortunate to have such a large house, even though it only consists of 4 rooms. Only when his wife calls him does he fully become aware of what is happening. " Come dear" the his wife calls. "It has come" The stallion quickly raises to all fours and examines his wife. Her sky blue coat tight to her skin and her mane is the color of liquid silver with a dulling effect.  Sweat is sticking to her body as if it refuses to let go. He quickly discovers that there is a heap near her rump. He trots over to his wife and finds that he has missed the birth of his only child. " It's a girl" he says, pushing away the fact that he missed the birth and is taking her into his hoofs. The young filly had a azure colored coat, and a mane and tail thats colors were cornflower blue with pale cornflower blue streaks.  He give the filly an appreciative look and gives her to his wife who of which has no problem with taking the child. She looks into her fillies dark grayish violet eyes and immediately falls in love with her child. She soon starts to talk to the filly. " Hello young one" she would say. " im your mother" The stallion then quickly chimes in " and im your father." She only then finds the horn on her fillies head after pushing her mane away from her forehead to see if she had the trademark birthmark that was commonly found among her family line. " How is this" she exclaims. " She has a horn. I... I don't understand. We are both earth ponies. Neither of us even has a relative thats a unicorn." The two stare into each others questioning eyes as if the truth is buried deep within each other. After about an hour the stallion decides to leave his thoughts." I must find the elder, He will know how to make sense of this." The stallion moves toward the filly and takes the new born by his mouth and sets it gently on the floor so it can have its first feeling of the world its now living in.  "Come dear, if you so wish. I want us to learn of our young fillies future in the tribe together." The seemingly aged mare finds her hoofs and her filly and leaves the small home with her husband. ...................... The couple walks into the elders home, finding the elder himself and his few belongings. His whole body is the same color. White everthing. Even pure white eyes. His cutie mark is a white splotch and black background to sybollize how pure he is. The white is a symbol of being pure to the people of the tribe. " Was this filly born last night Mrs. Lulamoon" She and her husband look blankly at the elder. " She was. " She came at the last minute of the last hour of the day. Does this have any meaning to us. I mean not to sound crude but to only ask." The sky blue mare says, who is now starting to lay on the floor of the elders shack. " This child has a large amount of potential if you are correct, She could, if not raised correctly, be one of great destruction." The elder comments while starting to look away. " You see, a filly that is born at such a time has great powers. Almost supernaturally strong, but only if taught by somepony elso also born at the same time, can she harvest them. I recommend that you don't things get like that. It is to risky to allow one to be taught such powerful magic. It would also be wise to take her to the wizard when she is older. about 12 I would say. He can tell you more than I can." the elder starts to leave his small home. " Don't let her get out of hoove" the elder than says without even turning his head. //-------------------------------------------------------// Meet the wizard //-------------------------------------------------------// Meet the wizard Many years have past since the last visit with the elder and here stands a young Trixie Lulamoon. She is now 12 years of age and is unaware of the strange place she will be going today. Unaware of what changes will happen before the day is over.  What is to come of the young and unaware filly? "Where are we going mother" the young filly asks her mother. Watching the trees dance in the wind. The leaves rustle makes a howling sound that pierces any silence that may have been near. Branches waver, making agrressive acts of grabing at anything nearby. " To a place that only a set amount of ponies can go. We will go deep into the forest(not the everfree) where you will learn many new things from the pony who lives out here" She responds hastily, watching her surroundings, being aware of anything dangerous is her main task. " Mother" she wispers, "why do you and papa not have a horn like me. Why do I have this on my head but not you or him." Fading Lulamoon quickly responds " You are special, now stop asking questions, we don't want to disturb anything around us" she snaps, almost in a growling manner. Her father now paying attention quickly adds in " now dear, you shouldn't be so mean to our young filly, she is still learning and eager to find out about who she is." " FINE, you want to go easy on her you do that, If what happens is as what the elder said many years ago happens we will now who's fault that is." The black stallion pulls his young close to his side, knowing that something must be angering his love. " Father what is wrong with mama" Trixie silently asks her father after a long silence. " I don't know, best leave it be. Besides we are here. The 3 ponies stopped in front of a tall cottage. "Papa, what is this place?" He glares at the wizards home, as if trying to find the smallest of details. The house was massive. Every grove of the house was built to move with the trees, its as if the house had its own melody with the wooding around the home. Much of the cottage was even built into its surrounding woodland, only way to get to the tree rooms was by a thin bridge barley as wide as the young filly herself. " Its the wizards house. He will teach you many things over the next amount of time." The young filly looks at her father with a look of dispair. "You won't be leaving me here, will you!? You can't just leave me here, I wont let you leave me!" the young filly yells. Assuming the worst. She only barely notices the small creaking sounds that stops her screaming. It was the cottage door opening. standing in the opening was an old wizard. An old pony stood in the door way, an old stallion actually. You could almost see his essence falling from his very bones yet it felt as if he still had many years left in him. The stallion had a long horn, nearly as long as Celestias herself (but they dont know that) His long, graying mane flowed from his neck creating a river like movement as he walked in the blowing wind. His coat was a strange hue of red that had aged with the pony himself. As he began to speak, you could see the bones in his jaw starting to wear with the pony, who did not speak much but to himself in the depths of his own mind. " My name is Crod " he said, " the thing that brings you to my home can be found in the depths of your own mind, look far enough and you will find the unicorn you have conceded and brought into this world." //-------------------------------------------------------// Just a give away //-------------------------------------------------------// Just a give away The 3 ponies have made their ways to the wizard house, seeking his guidance. They may just have found something that they never even knew that they would find. " My name is Crod " he said, " the thing that brings you to my home can be found in the depths of your own mind, look far enough and you will find the unicorn you have conceded and brought into this world... The Aging unicorn steps closer to small family with a bright smile on his face. " This young one here must be very special to come to my home" he says excitingly, as he starts to give a firm look at the young filly. " She must have some special quality that is hidden within her, and I thank I have some idea of what that special thing is too." The parents of the young filly looked at each other with looks of pure curiosity and gasp at the wizards guess. " What exactly do you mean?" the stallion questioned the wizard. " You are both earth ponies" he comments " there is only one answer. She must have been born on the latest minute of last day of the year, how else would she have a horn. Unless of course you are not the parents." The older stallion gives the parents a blank look, knowing that the two are in fact the parents of the filly standing before him. " Yes, we are the parents" The mother states roughly," and yes she was born at the time so. Many years ago the elder told us to come to you when she was of age, as she is so." she slowly started to nudge her filly toward the wizard. " Im sure you know why we brought here here." " I do in fact know the very reason." Crod was now staring at the filly with a look of disappointment. " you want me to train her, make her the best pony she can be... well I can't. I was not conceived at such a time. I have just devoted my life to study." the wizard looks back at his house. " I have stayed here my whole life. The only time I only leave is to buy food and books. I rarely have visitors so I take no need in cleaning any room but my own." Crod starting to feel ashamed that his home is so messy "I can, on the otherhoove, teach her all that I know." The wizard takes time to stare at the filly with compassion, forgetting about his home.  His dull yet strong eyes seem to look back into her future, digging at every memory that she has. Its as if he has excepted her as his own child instead of a soon-to-be assistant. The parents of the young filly look at each other desperately, worried for their only offspring. " Will she have to stay with you. If so, how often will we be able to visit." " Yes she will have to live with me." The filly is taken by this first comment. "She may be uncomfortable for the first length of time, but she will grow accustom. My home will be her home. You will also be able to visit whenever you please. However I will not allow more than 1 visit a week. If her family is on her mind she will not be able to concentrate on her studies." "I have to live with you and I have to do studies."  Trixie yells out loud. " What is this, are you just going to give me away to some stranger"  She is now starring at her parents with a look of disbelief. " You can't do this to me." the filly cries, her seemingly huge eyes full of tears ready to burst unto her face. The mother lies down to match her fillies height and looks directly at her. " This is for the best, if you don't let him take you in, you will not be the best Trixie that you can be." The young filly just notices the tears swelling in her mothers eyes as she touches Trixies chest with her hoof to comfort the young filly. " Fine, if this is what you believe is what is for the best." The young filly strangely seems more confident with here mothers decision, and wipes the tears in her eyes." I will stay with this pony... for you" The notion brings a smile to her mothers face, who starts to rub the side of the fillies head with her muzzle, and whispers into Trixies ear," You will be fine here. Happier than you could ever be at home." With this the the mother stands and slowly walks to her husband. " It is time for us to go now. We are leaving you in good hoofs", she says to her filly unaware of the feelings that are being developed by her young. " We have business to attend to that needs our attention immediately." The couple carries on down the road as the filly watches, her emotions growing stronger and her anger becoming a new emotion to struggle with. " Come young one"  The old wizard says. I'll show you around my home. .... Trixies first steps in the old stallions home are very fumbled. First she trips on the step up to get into the house, then she slips on a book thats been left on the ground. " You should really clean your house" she said, embarrassed since she had tripped over so many things. The wizard looked down, still ashamed that his house was so messy. After a second he lifted his head to see that Trixie was picking at the books at books on the many shelfs in the room. "You sure have a lot of books Mr." she said. " you must have a lot of free time." " Yes i know, Many of them I wrote myself... so you know." the old man was very proud of himself and pretended to give himself a pat on the back since he couldn't actually do it. The books laid every where. On the floor, on shelves, on the island in the room and all covered in several layers of dust. " Well let me give you the grand tour of the place" he said, hopping to pull the filly from his books before she tore one." This is the entry way, you already have a sense of what its about so lets continue." After about a 2 hour tour of exploring dusty rooms, it was dark outside and both ponies were ready to go to bed. " This is the final room" he said," and it is your room, you will sleep, study, plan, and do anything else you want in here. Ofcourse you are always free to use the books in my personal library as reference as to what you need." Trixies face lit up, she only heard the first part and was fine with that." I GET MY OWN ROOM," she screamed," I always had to stay in my mom and dads room with them." Trixie was incredibly excited to have here own room. " OH MY GOSH, IM SO EXITED." She said, as she started to grow a huge smile on her face. The little filly was bouncing off the walls at this point, and the wizard just watched as the filly got a close as ponily possible to exploding. " well I leave you be to your room"  He said loudly, to make sure she heard him. I always knew I was going to use that room he thought to himself as he retreated to his dwellings. The little pony eventually calmed down and laid on her bed," at least this room isn't a dust bowl" she whispered to no pony in particular.
