The Brick Wall Of Depression
I am just laying on my bed. Bored. Sooo bored. Thinking didn't occupy my once-awesome brain. Yeah, my 'once'-awesome brain. I think I am on brink of depression. I cant keep my mind of one thing. It kind of keeps my depression fueled.
My Rainbow mane seems to be losing colour. Maybe a cupcake from Sugarcube Corner? No, I cant.
My thoughts are interrupted by a knock at my cloud door. I opened the door, and there stood a unicorn and a pegasus. Twilight and Fluttershy. I look down at Twilight's hooves. She must have put the cloud walking spell on again. I glance over to Fluttershy hovering in the air. She had probably carried Twilight up here.
"Rainbow Dash! What's wrong with you? You haven't left your house for days!" Twilight cried. Days? Had it really been that long? My appearance isn't really that great either. I have blackish bags under my eyes, and my eyes are bloodshot from my lack of sleep. My wings feel glued to my side and my mane's darker colours have turned a gray with a hint of the colour it's supposed to be.
"Relax Twilight, I'm going out today" I said. I could really use it.
"Well, okay. But I'm coming back tomorrow if I don't see you around town."
"Okay, in fact, you two want to watch me fly today? I'm doing a new trick." I suggested. Twilight and Fluttershy look at each other.
"Ok, I guess we could, What time?" She asked
"Around 4:30." I reply.
"Ok we'll be there!" Fluttershy said.
"Oh, also ask Rarity and AJ." I say.
"Ok!" She responded.
I close the door and head for the shower. I needed to look somewhat presentable.
I step into the shower, and as the warm water drenched my body, I feel life pour back into me. I'm still not very happy, but I feel physically better. Like watering a plant, colour seeped back into my mane. I fluff out my wings and give the sides touching my body previously some water. Tingles are sent through my wings as I close my eyes and let out a long refreshing sigh. Now for a nice long nap.
I wake up in my cloud bed. What a relaxing morning! I look in the mirror. The black bags under my eyes have disappeared. I have to actually leave now.
I stretch out my wings and take off. I do admit the breeze in my face feels great. I land near Sugarcube Corner. I see Pinkie Pie walking around with her coltfriend, Thunderlane. Well, Pinkie is bouncing. My ears droop. I'm kind of sad Pinkie has a coltfriend. Don't get me wrong, Thunder' is a great pony and all, but a while ago I admitted to myself that, well, I have a huge crush on Pinkie Pie. I know it's a little weird, but I cant help it.
Pinkie is beautiful. The way her pink mane bounces up and down when she does. Her eyes seemed to sparkle more than anypony else's. She has a beautiful singing voice and great at flash mobs. She has a much contagious smile.
"HEY, Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie Pie blurted.
"Hey, Pinks." Is all I manage to get out of myself. It's hard for me to talk to Pinkie for long before I feel like having a breakdown. It doesn't help either that Thunderlane is right behind Pinkie with look mixed with a poker face and glaring. Sheeeesh, calm down, buddy. You have all the time in Equestria. You can wait and let her talk to her best friend for 5 minutes. 5 BUCKING MINUTES YOU IMPATIENT PRICK. Ok, maybe Thunderlane is bad.
I just noticed that Pinkie was talking the whole time I was thinking. Luckily Pinkie always talks too fast the first time through.
"Pardon, Pinkie? You're talking to fast." I blurted.
"Oh, sorry! Well, you want to go prank some ponies at around 4:00?" Pinkie asked. My ears flung up.
"Eh, only for about a half hour. Hey! How about you come and watch me try a new trick after?" I had to ask.
"Sure, I'd love to!" Pinkie said.
"Ok, see you at 4!" I have a half-hearted smile.
"Okie dokie lokie!!!" She said.
"C'mon, Pinks." Thunderlane interrupted as her nuzzles Pinkies cheek. Pinks? That's a nickname only I can use! How'd he even find out about it??!!
"Bye, Dashie!!!" Pinkie shouts as Thunderlane drags her away. She had started calling me Dashie a very long time ago. Nothing special.

I look over the cliff I was on. Down below, the girls had gathered to watch my new trick. Pinkie just arrived with Thunderlane. The pranks we did before were rather depressing for me. Spending time with my huge crush without anybody else kind of threw me over the edge.
My life never really improved since I left my house, considering I spent most of my time with Pinkie. Now I am towering above her.
I took what probably looks like a leap of faith. I close my wings and dive towards the ground. When I came within a metre to the ground, I open my wings into a nose dive, almost scraping my snout on the ground. Now I go strait up towards the clouds.
As I head up, my wings deliberately snap to my sides.
Love Through Circumstances
I start to feel the wind bitting at my face as I start falling faster. Falling. That's all I can feel. The impact didn't really matter to me. I had no goals but one in life anymore, but I think you should know what that is. And that goal's nearly impossible.
Within a little bit to the ground, Pinkie cries something that makes my ear perk into attention.
"NO!!! DASHIE!!!!! I-I- I love you....."
By this news I would gladly pull up a nose dive and survive- but I had to be at least a metre within the ground. I hit the ground with a hard thud. I instantly feel and see a crazy amount of blood pour out of me.
The last thing I see is Pinkie Pie running towards me with oceans coming out of her eyes, followed by the rest of the ponies that were watching, before my vision blurs, then blacks out.
I wake up in a hospital room. Dang it. The only sound is the ticking of the clock. I really hope Thunderlane isn't giving Pinkie heck for what she said. I hear the door click and a doctor comes in, followed by my friends. Instant sadness hit me when Pinkie Pie followed a few feet behind everyone else. Her mane is straitened out and her eyes are bloodshot. I feel so sorry for her.
"Ahem, Miss Rainbow Dash? I have some news for you."
I start to try to talk, but it comes out as a scratchy whimper. I just nod.
"You snapped you hind legs the wrong way, making then both broken. You broke 6 bones in your rib cage and lost a lot of blood from the huge scrape on your forehead, and well, all of your injuries." The doctor swallowed hard.
"And there's one more thing..." He sounded choked up."Well, you only have a couple days to live. Maybe not even."
I clear my throat. "What?! Isn't there anything you can do?" I say as my eyes well up with more tears than what I've ever had in my life put together. "I can't die! I have so much I want to do," I look at Pinkie. She is staring at a puddle on the floor that probably came from eyes.
"I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do,"
"Can talk to my friends one by one, than, please?" I ask.
"Of course."
Everyone leaves the room, but Pinkie stayed in. She finally looks up at me. She comes closer.
"Pinkie I just want to say, the years you've been my friend, have been amazing," I swallow hard. "And I just want to say, I love you to." I reach out my weak arms and pull her in closer and kiss her. Her hair poofs back up and we don't break the kiss until the heart monitor starts beeping slower. Pinkie breaks the kiss as fast as lightning and ran out the door. The doctor and my friends rush inside and hug me. The last thing I see is my friends crying. "I-I love you guys all so much..." My eyes flutter down.
I open my eyes and all I see is scenery that sort of looks like I'm inside the Milky Way. Suddenly, Discord pops up out of no where.
"Well, well, look who's dead." Discord says.
"What are you doing here?!" My voice isn't crackly anymore and I can flap my wings and move my legs. This must be Heaven.
"I'm here to retrieve the dead back to life, but only if they're worthy."
"You can do that?!" I cry.
"Yes, and I suppose you want to come back from the dead, don't you?"
"Well, yeah!"
"I hear you and Pinkie were in love, hmmm?"
"Yeah, and I want her back! That's why I want to be alive again! That's it!"
"Oh, how thoughtful of you, I suppose you have a good reason. Close your eyes and you'll be back in the real world in a flash."
I can't believe I still have a chance!!! I close my eyes and wait. I open my eyes and here I am, standing right above my grave. I take I to the air and fly towards Sugarcube Corner. I see Pinkie Pie, and I dive right down and land only hooves behind her.
"So I hear you you were in love with a pony named Rainbow Dash." I cooed.
"Yeah, but she died an-" Pinkie turned around gasps even bigger than when she met Twilight.
"DASHIE!!!!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!!!!!" She cried.
"Yeah and I'm never leaving you again. C'mon let's go."
