Chapter 1: The Spell
I’ve always loved the night.  I like the cool breeze.  The moonlight.  Even the eerie atmosphere. I guess that’s why Luna is the ruler I like the most. Princess Celestia is okay, but she’s got nothing Luna. Okay, Celestia is awful.  This is why I’m also an outcast to most ponies. They don’t talk to me since I don’t worship their precious Sun princess. But I don’t care, I don’t need friends. Especially with my immortality because when they die, it’ll just be me by myself. Again.
Back to Celestia. There are many reasons why I hate her. But the one that’s most important is when she banished her sister to the moon. No pony else noticed, except me. This is why I also kind of pity Luna. No pony ever gives her a second thought. It’s as if she doesn’t exist. I guess Luna’s kind of like me in that sense. Anyway, Celestia banished her because Luna was going to put Equestria in eternal darkness. I wouldn’t have minded that, since I do love the night. But Luna only said that out of jealousy because all the ponies played in Celestia’s day and slept in Luna’s night. Except me. I was out and about as if the sun was shining on a clear day.
I don’t get how some pony can be so cruel. Especially to your own sister. It just makes me so angry. Celestia could have found a better than banishment. A less crude way. Did I mention it’s been a month since Luna’s banishment? I should have said that since it’s really important. Anyway, poor Luna is all up there by herself. I made a promise to myself when I was little that if I could help any pony in any way, I would. And though I may not be able to get Luna back here to Equestria, I can help her in another way.
By bringing an eternal night over Equestria and ending the Sun princess tyrant. Okay, I added the Sun princess tyrant thing. But this promise won’t just help Luna. It’ll help every pony. Make them realize how bad Celestia is and give Luna all the praise she deserves.
I gather my candles and spell books and put them in my saddlebag. I then put the saddle bag on my back and walk outside. I then begin walking to the empty field by my house. It’s the perfect place to perform this spell since the moon is directly overhead. Once there, I take off my saddlebag and begin to take out the supplies I need, which are just the candles and one of my spell books. I sit on the ground and place the candles in a triangular shape around me; one in front of me, two on either side of me. I then light the candles and grab my spell book, and I open it to the correct page where the spell is. I then recite the spell, “Candle light, flicker and flame. I cast this spell in Luna’s name. This night shall last on and on, then Celestia’s sun shall be gone!” I recite it 3 times. Once done, I notice the candles went out. I then stand up and place all my supplies back in my saddlebag and put the saddlebag on my back. I then walk back home.
