"Hey Mom! How do  I conjugate 'to be' into Spanish again?" "Sorry hun," his Mother called, "but you have to study for this test." Dipper groaned. His mom never helped him when it came to studying for a test. Dipper slumped onto his soft bed with a sigh. “I hate Mondays.” He muttered to himself. But the best part of each day was getting to sleep. Dipper had a special talent. When he slept he always had a dream. This may not seem very exciting or strange, but the thing that made his dreams special was that he could control each and every one of them to an extent. He could not control what happened or where he would end up, but he could always control who he seemed to inhabit. The only problem with this is that whenever he was hurt or injured in his dream, he became injured in real life. Also, if he healed before his dream ended, then he would be healed in real life. And, ever since his friend got him into watching My Little Pony, he had been having dreams that he was a red unicorn with a blue and red striped mane. He kept his name as Dipper for he found it quite appropriate as a name for the pony he was. When Dipper had first come into the world of Equestria, he became so excited that he would have been bouncing if he knew how to use his hoofs. But his first visit had been a short one and the only person he had met was a young filly named Yellow Zap. For a little while Dipper lay on his bed, thinking over what had happened that day, but he soon fell asleep. “Hey!” said a female voice. “Wake up!” “Huh? Wuzzat?” Dipper said going to rub his hand with his eyes, but instead felt something cold and hard touching his face. He realized it was his own hoof. “Oh…Am…am I in Ponyville?” He asked the voice without opening his eyes. “Of course silly! Where else would you be?” Dipper opened his eyes and saw a sun yellow Pegasus with streaks of orange in her mane. “Oh hey Yellow Zap. How have you been?” Dipper yawned drowsily. “I’ve been fine. A little lonely without you, but I managed.’’ She said a little shyly. “Why would you be lonely without me?” Dipper laughed. “You really need to make some more friends. I’m much older than you. Try to find somepony your age. What about that group…what was their name? The Cutie Mark Crusaders?” Yellow scowled at the mention of the group of rambunctious fillies. “I’ll stick with you. You’re like an older brother” She said cheerfully. “Whatever you say.” Dipper said shrugging as well as a pony could. “Hey Yellow, weren’t you going to take me to meet the other ponies?” Dipper asked. “Oh yeah. I almost forgot. Who do you wanna meet first?” She inquired “Hmm…” Dipper said aloud. “How about we head by the Sweet Shoppe and meet the Cakes and Pinkie Pie?” She grinned. “How did I know you would want to go by the Shoppe first?” Dipper grinned back “I dunno. Guess you have some special power to read my mind without a horn.” He suggested. “Mmm…Nah. I think that you just wanna meet your crush Pinkie.” Dipper turned as scarlet as a red pony could get. “I only said she was the pony I wanted to meet first in answer to your question!” He sputtered. “Riiiiiight. Suuuuure you were.” Yellow said with a sly smile. Dipper walked the rest of the way in silence. Dipper and Yellow Zap arrived to an unusually bustling Sweet Shoppe. “What’s going on?” Dipper asked a passing stallion. “Haven’t you heard?” the stallion said excitedly. “Pinkie Pie is making the famous Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness!” then without another word, he rushed into the Shoppe. Dipper had heard of that cake before in an episode he had watched, and knew the quality of this cake. He looked over at Yellow Zap who suddenly looked as excited as the stallion they had just talked to. “Quick! We have to get inside before the place has filled up!” This, as Dipper and Yellow soon found out, was a task easier said than done. They were jostled this way and that as everypony tried to get a closer look at the cake. Finally, Dipper and Yellow were able to make it to the front of the crowd in the shadow of an enormous cake. And there, to Dipper’s delight, on a stool putting the finishing touches on the M.M.M.M was Pinkie Pie. As she waved to the crowd from atop her stool, Pinkie put the last Marzipan on the top of the cake. Pinkie got off of the stool and was quickly enveloped in the crowd of cheering ponies. “Pinkie Pie!” Dipper called through the roar of the crowd. Quick as lightning, Pinkie Pie whipped her head around at the mention of her name. Upon seeing this, Dipper waved his hoof above the crowd and shouted her name again. At this, she made her way through the crowd and, when she saw him, lit up with the largest grin Dipper had ever seen. “I’ve never seen you here before in fact I’ve never seen you before. What’s your name?” Pinkie said. Dipper overwhelmed by the torrent of speech that had just assailed him, tried to find something to say “Well, actually I-“ Pinkie Pie cut him off with a gasp. “I know I’ll throw you a party! Everyone loves a party! HEY EVERYONE!!!” Pinkie Pie shouted so loud that it silenced the crowd, “I’M THROWING A WELCOME TO PONYVILLE PARTY FOR…” Pinkie Pie paused for a moment from her announcement to ask. “What is your name?” she whispered. Still a little shocked, Dipper stammered. “I’m…uh…I’m Dipper.” She grinned her incredibly large grin again and said “FOR DIPPER! ITS GONNA BE AT THE PARK IN ONE HOUR!” Pinkie bellowed in no lower volume than before. Everyone cheered and began to file out of the Shoppe chattering about the impossibly close party. “How are you going to get the party ready in such little time?” exclaimed Dipper. Pinkie Pie stopped for a moment and stared at him. Then she burst into a fit of giggles. “How do ya think silly? With my Party Cannon of course!” Then she stopped laughing and said in a curious tone. “You have heard of my Party Cannon…right?” When she didn’t get an instant response, she, somehow, grabbed his hoof and began pulling him away from the Sweet Shoppe. “C’mon.” she said smiling. “You have to come see it!” Dipper wrenched his hoof away from her. “Fine. But I can walk myself.” She paused then said, “Okie Dokie Lokie!” and she hopped off at an incredible pace so that Dipper, who still wasn’t perfect at using his hoofs, stumbled after.
