Chapters Code 5: Maximum Has Fallen
Chapter 1: How We Got Here
The guard climbed stairs that went around the inside of the guard tower in a square shape. It was twelve o’ clock and time for the midday watch. He was a unicorn stallion, so he was one of the guards that helped keep the force-field that surrounded the city of Canterlot up and active. He made it to the top of the tower, letting the other guard know that their watch was over. Once the other pony was gone, the stallion hooked up his sniper rifle to the mount on the railing of the tower. Then he conjured up the spell in his horn and shot a red ray of magic at the force-field, refueling the magical protection.
“That ought ‘a do it,” he said in satisfaction.
A couple hours later, the sky started becoming darker until it was completely covered in dark storm clouds. After a couple minutes it then began to rain and lighting lighted the sky and thunder vibrated the tower. The stallion looked up at the force-field. Its bright red glow could easily be seen through all the darkness. The guard then squinted at something peculiar. He saw a ripple pass through the magical wall. He then looked to the source of the ripple. It was coming from the front gates. The stallion looked through the scope of the high powered rifle to see a couple zombie ponies bumping their heads against the force-field, trying to get in.
“Yeah right,” the pony chuckled. Zombies could be just so stupid. Suddenly a black light flashed across the force-field, causing the guard to stumble back in surprise.
“What in the world?” He looked back at the undead ponies. There was no way. Another black flash blinded the stallion. He looked back down at the zombies to see black rays of magic being shot out of the horns of the zombies that were unicorns. Suddenly, a third black flash occurred and when the stallion recovered from the flash, the force-field was gone. The zombies poured into Canterlot. A zombie came onto the guard tower from above, its ragged wings spread. The guard lunged for the sniper rifle, but the undead pegasus lunged for him first. It took him to the ground and began tearing him apart, his screams soon resounding into silence.

“Get FCD out of here!” Applejack commanded towards the five young ponies trying to keep the door to the squad room closed.
“They’re chasing us!” Buckshot screamed as he looked outside the window of the train engine.

“Weapons free!” yelled Lockheed to the FCD agents in the train cars. “Defend the train!” A few of the fillies and colts climbed the ladders to the fifty-caliber M2’s mounted on the roofs of the train cars while others slid open the windows and positioned the numerous Gatling guns. The tan pegasus ran back towards the engine as full-automatic gunfire began sounding. He came into the engine to see Buckshot dealing with the trains machinery and Sweetie Belle feeding magic fuel into the furnace.
“We need to go faster,” Lockheed said to the blue pegasus.
“I’m trying,” replied Buckshot, slamming the throttle lever more forward. “The gears don’t go up until the train reaches a certain speed for the power to be necessary.” He pushed the lever a portion of the way forward again. “If we have another unicorn up here, we may be able to speed up a little.
“Can’t, everypony is manning the defense weapons,” replied Lockheed. Suddenly a zombie pegasus burst through the right window of the train engine, tackling Buckshot. Sweetie Belle gave it a barrel full of her trench gun, blowing half its middle off. The navy-colored pegasus got up.
“Oh Luna, this is just gross.” Some of the undead pegasus had blown up on him, covering his uniform and face with blood. He pushed the motionless corpse back out the window of the engine. He felt very sick inside and felt the need to throw up. Unfortunately, he couldn’t. Thanks a lot physiology.
“I think you should burn that uniform,” said Lockheed. It wasn’t as much of the possibility of infection as it was the fact that it smelled unbearably bad.
“It’s NWU. It’s fire-retardant,” said Buckshot dismally. He turned around and slammed the throttle lever forward again. This time however, instead of the lever locking in place like it should, a metallic crack sounded inside the metal covering, and the lever went all the way forward. The train began speeding up very quickly, and the machinery began making steaming noises that they shouldn’t be making.
“Uh oh,” said Buckshot, backing away from the furnace. Sweetie Belle stopped feeding magic into the engine.
“The train can’t handle the amount of power of that gear yet,” the white unicorn said nervously. “It’s gonna blow.” The three galloped out of the engine and into the train cars where the machine guns were still going full-blast.
“Abandon the train!” yelled Lockheed, “Abandon the train!” Too late; the engine exploded, separating the train cars and sending them off the tracks, scattering metal and glass.

A light yellow red manned filly know as Applebloom groaned as she opened her eyes, she was on the ground, having been thrown from the train car she was in. She got up and spit some dirt out. She looked around see the forest around her burning, along with the frames of some of the train cars.
“Applebloom! Are you okay?” a familiar voice asked. An orange filly with a purple mane burst through the smoke and up to the earth pony.
“Ah’m fine,” she replied to Scootaloo. She looked around again to see ragged figures combing around the wreckage, searching for live bodies.
“But maybe not for long,” she said, pointing towards the numerous zombies.
“What do we do?” asked Scootaloo, eyeing the undead ponies nervously.
“Uh….Ah uh…..” She looked back towards the burning remnants of the train. There was nothing they could really do about the train. She sighed, “We’re gonna have to run.” The two began making their way away from the wreckage and the zombies, occasionally looking back to make sure none were following them.
“But what about everypony else?” Scootaloo asked.
“Try not to think about it,” Applebloom replied.
1 Year Later
ZPTF Log: It has been exactly one year since codename: Maximum, was infiltrated and rendered nonfunctional. The undead ponies who have almost taken over the country of Equestria have evolved, allowing undead pegasi to have use of their wings to fly and unicorns the ability to use deadly magic. And with the main base of ZPTF destroyed, the nationwide agency can no longer function properly. The Zombie Pony Task Force is dead.
“Why do we keep coming back here?” Scootaloo asked, “We’ve already checked through here about a million times.” The pegasus filly was walking along behind Applebloom, taking a look at the only too familiar businesses and houses; which never seemed very familiar to her anymore being that they were all partially destroyed.
“Ya’ never know, there may be something that we missed,” the yellow farm filly replied, taking in the sight of the buildings as well. That was only a very small part of why they kept coming here. The real reason the young earth pony continued to go on supply searches in Ponyville was because it was a town she had always known and loved so well, except for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon of course, but she would admit that she missed those jerks as well.
“Hold on, wait a moment,” said Scootaloo, the purple manned filly stopping abruptly.
“What is it?” Applebloom asked, curious about Scootaloo’s sudden look of intense concentration.
“I hear something,” she said, “Like some kind of humming sound.” Applebloom listened as well, but she couldn’t hear anything.
“It’s probably nothin’,” the red manned filly said. “Ah think yer’ ears may be ringin’ again.” Ever since……well, the incident with the train, the natural ringing that would happen to anypony in the ears occasionally when silence lasted too long, was an occurrence that happened to them more often. Scootaloo knocked her hoof against her head a few times, and not hearing the humming sound, was satisfied.
“I guess you were right,” she said, and continued walking down the main street of Ponyville alongside Applebloom. They passed by many buildings, looking for one that looked like it might have a good find. As they walked past the front door of one of the buildings, they stopped and walked backwards until they were looking at the door again. This building, unlike the others, actually had a new door on it. It wasn’t in good condition, but it looked fairly strong and had a shiny padlock on it.
“Like Ah said, we could’ve missed something,” said Applebloom, looking the door and the lock up and down.
“I don’t think we missed this,” said Scootaloo. She backed up until she was looking up at the faded red sign of the business. Painted in black lettering, it had once red Fireworks Factory.
“Yeah, this is Firefly’s place,” said Scootaloo. She remembered the stallion fondly. He had the same color scheme as Applebloom, bright yellow with a red mane and eyes. His cutie mark being a red-rocket firework with a lit fuse. He was a very kind stallion and a lover of pranks as well. Scootaloo was brought out of her thoughts to the sound of shattering glass. Applebloom had just thrown a rock through one of the front windows of the business.
“Come on,” she said, climbing in through the window, “Let’s check it out.” The pegasus climbed in after her, being careful of the glass shards still in the sill. She dropped down to the floor and switched on her flashlight.
“Hmm, place doesn’t look any different than it did before,” she said.
“Yeah, but Ah don’t think ya’ could do this,” said Applebloom said, flipping a light switch. The lights of the store came on, showing the faded red paint of the store’s inside. The shelves on the walls were empty, as usual, but the two fillies could remember when they had been lined with all kinds of fireworks.
“Well, there’s nothing out here so, let’s check in the back,” said Scootaloo. The two fillies walked around the counter and through the doorway into the back room. As they walked in, to their left was the door to where Firefly had kept his fireworks and next to that was the stairway that led up to his room. The room they were in was the living room. A fireplace was on the wall opposite them and to the left of it was an entryway that led out the back of the building. The shelves where the stallion had kept his notebooks of inventions, usually firework related, was gone, leaving just the wall.
“One last place,” said Applebloom, heading up the stairwell to the bedroom, Scootaloo following close behind. When they came up into the area, however, it wasn’t what they expected. Portable metal shelves were placed along the walls of the room, except covering the windows, and they were lined with tools and some technology equipment. But one thing that really caught the fillies’ eyes was what was on the shelf on the opposite wall. Taking up the first and second shelf were two mechanically powered Gatling guns, a weapon that by now was only too familiar to each of the fillies.
“Oh my Celestia, this place is loaded,” said Scootaloo, “Let’s take everything we can carry.” The pegasus began walking towards the six barreled weapons but was held back by Applebloom.
“Hold it right there, hotshot. We’ve been in here less than a month ago, and it seems a bit suspicious that it’s suddenly packed with,” she looked at all the stuff that lined the shelves, “Military-like equipment.”
“Well then, maybe there’s more survivors and they might be willing to team up,” the purple manned pony offered.
“Yeah, cause it always makes a good first impression when ya’ break their window and are about to steal their supplies,” a voice suddenly said behind them. The two were about to turn around when the voice continued.
“Drop your weapons, put your hoofs up, and if you move, you die.” For even more convincing, the two heard the metallic sound of a pistol slide. The fillies did as they were told.
“Now turn around slowly and show your faces,” the voice commanded. Applebloom and Scootaloo once again followed orders and turned around, to see the silver furred filly also known as Silver Spoon.
“You two? Nevermind, Lockheed, their friendly,” she called down the stairs. She stowed the M1911 she had been pointed back on her belt as the colt came into view. He was pegasus with a tan body, his mane being jungle green and black, his eyes being the same shade of green. His cutie mark was a gold compass rose with extended wings. He was also wearing his Equestria Air Guard uniform.
“Oh wow, I thought we might find you two at some point, but not trying to steal Buckshot’s equipment,” he said, smiling as he looked at the two.
“Me neither,” Silver Spoon agreed. There was something different about how she said it, the filly hadn’t said it with a snotty tone to it, more like just general conversation.
“Well, I take it you’re coming back with us,” said Lockheed, starting back down the stairs. “Follow us.”
“So what happened, where is everypony?” Applebloom asked.
“Well, the main base was destroyed, but you already know that. After the train crashed, we all just sort of ran. Ran until the zombies weren’t chasing us anymore,” explained Silver Spoon, “About a day later, some of us met up in different groups and now we’re sort of scattered about the grid.” The four were walking down a road of Ponyville, Lockheed pushing a cart with all of the equipment from the building on it. The town was now layered in thick fog.
“Most ponies just went back to their hometowns because they know the land there, unless their hometowns are like this,” said Lockheed, gesturing around to Ponyville, “So most cities have been rebuilt as bases.”
“So where are we going?” asked Scootaloo, “And what’s with all the stuff?”
“Just look up ahead,” replied Lockheed, pointing a hoof. Scootaloo and Applebloom squinted through the fog. Through the thick whiteness, they could see a large grey shape in the distance. As they came closer, they could more clearly see the object. It was a helicopter. It was very large and was a light grey. It had a single, seven bladed rotor and the back of the aircraft was open, the ramp in the down position on the ground. By name, it was a CH-53E Super Stallion, one of the heaviest and strongest helicopters used by the military. As the four ponies came up the helicopter, they seemed to have left the fog behind and the sky was clear and the sun shining.
“Hey Bucky, we got your stuff, and some company!” Lockheed called into the chopper. The navy colored colt walked out to the back of the aircraft to the four, followed by Sweetie Belle. Right when the white unicorn saw her friends, she squealed with joy and ran to hug them, tackling the two in the process.
“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!!!” she yelled, “I thought I lost you guys!”
“Long time, no see,” Buckshot said calmly, a kind smile on his face. “Welcome aboard my Super Stallion.” He made his way back into the chopper, followed by the other five ponies. Lockheed strapped the cart down and made his way to the passenger seats. Applebloom and Scootaloo made their way through tools and plugs strewn across the floor.
“Sorry about the mess, I’m in the middle of modifying this thing,” Buckshot apologized, sitting down in the left pilot’s seat. Sweetie Belle sat down in the right one. They put their headsets on and Buckshot flipped a switch in front of him, causing the rear ramp to close.
“Everyone ready?” he asked. The five ponies nodded from their seats.
“Okay then.” He reached up and flipped two switches, and the three high powered engines started running and the rotors began turning until the blades were a blur.
“Here we go,” said Buckshot. He pulled on the joystick and brought the helicopter off the ground a little. He then pushed it forward, causing the chopper to lean forward at a high angle, which in turn caused it to gain to a high amount of speed before he pulled back on the joystick and pushed it to the right, allowing the large aircraft to angle to the right and gain altitude.
“Where are we going?” asked Scootaloo, turning to Lockheed who sat next to her.
“We’re heading east back to Mareland, that’s where the fort is,” he replied, “It’s going to be a long ride, so be comfortable.”
Code 5: Maximum Has Fallen
Chapter 2: Fort Helix
Dusk had gone to night during the helicopter ride. The only light shining within the large aircraft was the stars and the glow of the control panels where Buckshot and Sweetie Belle were piloting. Though the machine had three loud powerful engines, from the inside it was only a faint low hum. The four ponies sitting in the passenger seats behind the pilots were sound asleep, the vibration given off by the helicopter keeping them comfortable. Sweetie Belle looked down at the green glow of the radar map.
“We’ll be at the fort in a little bit,” the white unicorn confirmed. She turned to Buckshot, the navy colored pegasus beginning to fall asleep. He dozed off and accidentally leaned forward, his hooves pressing against the joystick. The helicopter gave a slight tilt. Sweetie Belle shook him, getting him to suddenly wake up. She then nodded down at a control panel between the seats. He understood and flipped two of the switches on the panel. A small red light came on the right side next to the switches, confirming that Sweetie Belle now had full control of the helicopter. Buckshot then leaned his head back against the seat and fell asleep. Sweetie looked ahead out the windshield. Far off in the distance she could see the bright lights of the installation.
About a half hour later, Sweetie Belle flew the helicopter above the airfield and crossed over doing a standard fly-by above the buildings near the airfield to get a clear landing, hopefully not disturbing anypony sleeping. She reached over and gently shook Buckshot, who awoke after a couple shakes. He reached down and flipped the switches again, giving him control of the chopper. Sweetie Belle could pilot just fine, but landing and taking off she still needed practice on. Buckshot flipped on the headset.
“Stallion one to base, permission to touch down,” he said into the mic.
“Base to Stallion one, you have full authorization to land, touch down in your designated zone,” a reply came through the headset. Sweetie Belle unstrapped herself from her seat and made her way back to the other four. She woke them up as Buckshot guided the aircraft towards the landing. The helicopter gave a small bounce as the tires touched the surface of the marked area. He reached up and flipped the two switches, the Super Stallion’s rotors slowing to a complete stop and the engines going quiet.
“We’re here guys,” Sweetie Belle said to her two friends. She opened a door on the right side of the aircraft and led them outside. Applebloom and Scootaloo stepped out of the helicopter onto the helipad to get a glimpse of the fort. It was clearly very large and lights from buildings and street lamps were on, seemingly enlarging the area at night.
“I welcome you to…” the white unicorn paused, “Fort Helix.” She led her two friends off the helipad and onto the hard concrete of the airfield.
“Lockheed will show you where you’ll be living, I need to get to bed,” Sweetie Belle said before heading off towards the numerous brick buildings. The tan pagasus then came off the helipad as well and up to the two fillies.
“Just follow me,” he said before beginning to walk towards the buildings as well. The two fillies began following the Air Guard pony, looking around at the many large structures.
“What is this place?” asked Scootaloo.
“It’s Fort Helix,” replied Lockheed, “A very well known Navy Medical Command installation.”
“Ah’ve never heard of this place,” remarked Applebloom.
“Not many ponies who don’t live in Mareland really know about it,” said Lockheed, “But it has done some pretty impressive things.” They were now walking along a sidewalk next to the street, the airfield now to their right on the other side of a wired fence.
“Like what?” Scootaloo asked, curious about the large installation.
“It was the center of the pegasi- weather weapons program, before it was discontinued. Also, since EIH facilities are here, this is where a cure for the infection is being researched,” explained Lockheed. He paused and looked up at a UH-60 Blackstallion helicopter passing overhead. “Which means the installation needs lots of protection,” he said, pointing a hoof up at the chopper.
“Ah’d say Helix is more protected than Canterlot was,” exclaimed Applebloom.
“Pfft, it is ,” scoffed Lockheed, the tan pegasus waving his front hoof downwards, “Force-fields? We saw how well that worked on the Changelings and we saw it didn’t work again on zombies.”
“You make a valid point,” agreed Scootaloo. Magic did always have flaws, the military, not as much.
“Anyways, Silver Spoon has probably already let the ones in charge of ponyyel files know you’re here, so you may actually start working as soon as tomorrow even,” Lockheed explained. The tan pegasus continued walking down the sidewalk, beckoning the fillies to follow. They were far passed the airfield now and walking past a parking lot towards four brick structures arranged in a square.
“So, for where you’ll be sleeping,” he continued, “Fort Helix has plenty of housing.” They walked up to the buildings and Lockheed began ascending a light green metal staircase on one of them. Applebloom and Scootaloo followed him up the staircase to the second landing. He stopped in front of one of the doors and turned to face them.
“This is your place right here,” he said, gesturing to the door, “If you have any questions, I’m working at Aerial Command on the airfield tomorrow, in the tower. And Buckshot is also going to be on the airfield working on the modifications to his helicopter. Sweetie Belle, however, is taking a PT test with a Naval Guard unit tomorrow, but basically, most of us will just be doing whatever,” Lockheed finished.
“Okay then, thanks,” said Scootaloo, “Night.”
“See you in the morning, or whenever you get up, doesn’t matter,” said Lockheed before making his way back down the staircase.

The next morning, the two woke up to the sound of a knocking at the door. They both exited their individual bedrooms into the living room of their place. Applebloom opened the door to see the familiar silver furred filly known as Silver Spoon standing in the doorway.
“Morning,” she said, “I’ve got a couple things for you.” She opened her saddlebags and pulled out a few official looking papers.
“What’re those?” Applebloom asked, looking at the forms.
“It’s just some job information for you to fill out,” she replied, giving the forms to the two, “Fort Helix heard about what happened at Canterlot and they looked into everything about, what was it called? Maximum, that’s it,” she explained.
“So what does this have to do with it?” Scootaloo asked.
“Oh right, they saw that everypony there had close to the same jobs, which the ponies who researched Maximum say may have been a reason it fell so easily. So when new ponies are recruited into Fort Helix, they fill out these forms and they’re given a job that best matches the way it was filled out,” Silver Spoon said, “It makes sure everypony can do their jobs well and keep the installation running smoothly.”
“Makes sense,” said Applebloom, looking over the form.
“So whenever you’re done with those, just find me or drop them off at the front desk of the building,” said Silver Spoon,
“And then you can just take a look around the fort until you’re assigned your jobs.”

The two fillies were now walking down the sidewalk of one of the many streets within Fort Helix. They had passed many buildings, a couple that looked fairly old but some were amazing, like the EIH facilities with their nearly entire glass exterior. They had long since dropped their job forms in an inbox at a desk in the main room of one of the buildings where they were living. Now all they had to do was wait for some directions to what their jobs would be.
“What kind of work do you think we’ll have to do?” Scootaloo asked. They were walking next to the airfield now, the sound of helicopters and a few planes meeting their ears.
“Ah don’t know, but Ah hope it’s different from what ZPTF was like,” Applebloom replied. In all honesty, working as an agent for the Fillies and Colts Division was pretty boring. All she did was sit at a computer all day long and occasionally had late night watches. With the number of agents there were, it was a bit rare to be sent out on a supply hunt. The two looked towards the airfield to the sound of engines louder than the ones they had been hearing. They watched as huge light grey airplane with four propellers and high-powered weaponry on the sides land on the runway. The airplane’s tires screeched as the large AC-130 quickly lost speed until it turned and began taxiing along the airfield towards a space marked with diagonal red lines.
“Wouldn’t you want to fly one of those?” a new voice suddenly startled the two fillies. They jumped to the side before looking to see who it was. It was none other than Silver Spoon.
“Oh sorry, didn’t mean to do that,” she said, “Anyway, I’ve got your jobs for ya’.” She yanked open her saddlebags and pulled out two papers. She looked them over until she found the part she was looking for. “Oh wow, luckies, you’ve got the best jobs.” She handed them the papers.
“Assault Force,” Scootaloo read aloud, “Awesome!”
“Ah know I filled out that form mostly with fighting abilities, but Ah didn’t know I’d get a job like this,” exclaimed Applebloom with amazement.
“I’m glad you’re happy with em’,” said Silver Spoon. She began walking away again but was stopped by Applebloom.
“Wait, Ah’ve got just one question,” she said. Over the last two days, she hadn’t received one insult about her still bare flank from the silver filly. “Ah have to ask, how come yer’, well, being nice to us?”
“Huh? Haven’t I always been?” Silver Spoon asked; only to get two confused looks. “I know, I’m just kidding. I know I was being a jerk in the past and, I’m sorry about that,” she said, “Oh and for your reassurance, Diamond Tiara isn’t here, she’s at an Air Force base in Las Pegasus.” Silver Spoon gave the two a wink before walking of once again.
“Wow, and it only took an apocalypse to change her,” said Scootaloo with a comedic tone. She looked back down at the paper again. “So what exactly do we do now?”
“Ah don’t know,” replied Applebloom. She turned towards the airfield again to here rock music beginning to play, the source coming from the same large helicopter still on the helipad. “Maybe he can tell us.”
The two fillies walked up closer to the Super Stallion helicopter, the rock music, which was now recognizable as Falling Down by Atreyu, being louder as they came closer. The back ramp of the aircraft was open, tools and parts strewn about the inside, on the ramp, and around the helicopter. An NWU uniform top and eight-point hat were hung on one of the blue lights at a corner of the octagonal helipad. The two fillies climbed the steps onto the helipad just as the familiar navy blue pegasus colt walked out the back. Noticing the two, he pressed a button on the speakers sitting on the ground, causing the music to cease.
“Hey Buckshot,” said Scootaloo.
“Hello,” he replied, “Oh, hey, you got your jobs,” he said, noticing the light blue paper. “What’d ya’ get?”
“Assault Force,” said Scootaloo. The blue colt beamed at this.
“Awesome, best job in my opinion,” he said.
“We don’t really know how everythin’ runs here, we was hopin’ you may be able to explain it to us,” said Applebloom.
“Sure, there’s actually a job description list somewhere but it’s really long and confusing so I’ll just give you the important stuff,” he replied, beginning to walk back inside the helicopter, “Walk and talk, well for me, work and talk.” The two fillies followed him inside the chopper, which the floor was covered in whatever the pegasus was working with.
“So really, and it’s pretty explained by the title, your job it defense and assault,” he began, sitting down and beginning to search through a pile of parts, “Unlike ZPTF, where you were on a schedule full-time, here, the whole time piece of it all is more free.” He pushed a couple things off the pile and grabbed a red electrical cable in his hoof.
“For the Assault Force, since there isn’t much undead activity happening near Fort Helix, anypony on it is on an ‘on call’ mode twenty four-seven,” he explained, walking over to an open panel on the left wall of the aircraft, “So you can be called in for a job at any time during the day or night.” He plugged the cord into someplace within the other wires of the panel, only resulting in flying sparks.
“Well that didn’t work. Anyway, though being on call can seem pretty annoying, like I said, nothing much goes on around at Fort Helix, so for some jobs….” He began messing with some of the wiring again, “If you’re not busy with any tasks being assigned to you, which you usually won’t be, you’re basically just being on the installation and what you do is your choice,” he finished, “Such as modifying a helicopter.” He said as he gestured around to the aircraft.
“Okay then, easy enough,” said Scootaloo.
“If you’ve got good fighting skills, then it is,” Buckshot remarked. He looked back at the two from where he was sitting on the floor of the helicopter. He then took notice of one thing missing on both of the fillies.
“Do you two have weapons?” he asked. Applebloom and Scootaloo both shook their heads in response.
“Huaaah,” he gasped, “That’s a crime!” he said in a silly fake tone of astonishment. He got up and walked over to a small fold-up table by the right wall of the helicopter. He opened a large binder, one with pockets on the side big enough that they were holding notebooks. He looked back towards the two fillies.
“Allow me to arm you,” he said, “Let me guess here, Applebloom, based on your country heritage, I can guess that you’re a good hunter?” he asked.
“Absolutely!” the farm filly replied, boasting her amazing ability with hunting, “Especially with rifles.”
“Ah, classic way, I’ll get you a….” he rubbed a hoof under his chin for a moment, “Hmm, M14 Sniper Rifle,” he said, scribbling a note down in the binder. “And Scootaloo, I remember your passion for that shotgun.”
“Yeah, it was a nice one,” she said, remembering her prized possession of weaponry. That over-and-under shotgun had actually been with her far before Code 5. Unknown to many of her peers, unfortunately including Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon (if they had known, those two would have definitely left her and her friends alone) outside of Cutie Mark Crusaders and school, she was usually at the shooting range, doing skeet shooting. (And she was a pro at it as well.) She lost the gun in the train wreck.
“Okay then, I’ll give it back to you,” Buckshot said, surprising the orange pegasus filly. He scribbled another note down in the binder, and then closed it. “Okay then, you’re all set.”
“Thank you Bucky,” they both said, turning to leave.
“Any time, and trust me, this is gonna be fun.”

Chapter 3: Another Day Another Horde
“Okay then, I’ve got your guns,” Buckshot told the two fillies. They were once again on the airfield, on the helipad, and standing inside the modifying-in-progress Super Stallion.
“Applebloom, your rifle was easy because it was in my storage locker along with a whole collection of guns,” he said, handing her the black semi-automatic rifle, “Also, for nighttime use, this switch here,” he tapped a small red switch on the side of the scope, “Is for infrared, zombies have body heat too.” He placed the gun in Applebloom’s hooves. He then turned to Scootaloo.
“And bump bada bump buh ba,” he mimicked the sound of those long horns used for royalty as he pulled the over-and-under shotgun out from behind him, “I present to you, your prized possession of two barreled sporting weaponry,” he said, handing the shotgun over to the filly. Scootaloo looked it over, there as something different about it.
“It looks brand new,” she said. As she turned the gun over in her hooves, she noticed something added to it. On the right side screwed into the wood under where the gun broke open was a small plaque. Engraved in it was her name written with the ends of the letters all curved and fancy looking.
“Yeah, I cleaned it,” said Buckshot, “And had that plaque put in there. Of my whole collection of shotguns, that one is the only one I’ve never fired.” He was then caught off guard as Scootaloo tackled him with a hug.
“Thank you so much,” she said happily.
“Anything for a friend and their firearm,” the blue pegasus replied, finally being released from the lung-crushing hug. “If you need some practice, the shooting range is on one of the fields, you can’t miss it.” He tipped his black western hat at the two, which he was wearing instead of the NWU uniform, and went back to his work on the helicopter. The two fillies walked off the airfield with their new firearms….
....though they would be putting them to the test in a few hours.

“No worries, we’ll be there in no time!” said Buckshot before closing his phone. He and Sweetie Belle began running down along the walkway on the second floor of the barracks. As they passed Scootaloo and Applebloom’s room, Buckshot, having no intention to stop, threw a crowbar at their door. The metal object knocked against it before hitting the ground where the blue pegasus snatched it up and replaced it in his belt as he ran past.
The two said fillies exited their room having heard the knock.
“What in the world?” asked Applebloom as she saw Sweetie Belle and Buckshot run past her.
“Come on, we’re going on an adventure!” the shotgun referenced pegasus called behind him in a British accent. The two fillies followed behind them, also having their weapons strapped around them having seen their two friends armed as well.
They galloped onto the airfield and began heading towards a helipad. It wasn’t the large, octagonal, raised five feet off the ground helipad in which Buckshot keeps his CH53E helicopter on, but towards just a square one marked with red lines and blue lights at each corner. Lockheed was sitting in the side door of the helicopter next to an M2 machine gun. At the sight of the four ponies coming towards him, he stood up. Sweetie Belle and Buckshot were the first ones to get in, taking their seats in their usual spots in the pilot’s seats.
“Ready for your first supply hunt from Fort Helix,” Lockheed asked as he helped Scootaloo and Applebloom up into the helicopter. The two fillies nodded their heads as they sat down in the passenger seats. Lockheed flipped the safety of the M2 on and turned it to the right so it fit along the side of the helicopter. Then he slid the door closed, locking it in place. Buckshot flipped the switches and the rotors began spinning. Like before, he brought the helicopter a bit off the ground and maneuvered it to the side so he had a clear path.
“Here we go.” He pushed the joystick forward, and the light grey AW101 pitched forward at a high angle and began moving forward up to a tremendous amount of speed before quickly ascending into the air. Admittedly, this helicopter was more comfortable than Buckshot’s huge Super Stallion. But then again, this one had multiple configurations, one of them being luxury.
“Where are we going?” Scootaloo asked. Lockheed looked over to her from his seat.
“A radar plane detected an old hidden military base twenty miles west of Ponyville. The entire thing is deep in a forest, so trees hid it completely from view by just a pony’s eyes.”
“Since the area hasn’t been recorded as searched by Fort Helix, we’re being sent out for a supply hunt,” explained Sweetie Belle from the right pilot’s seat.
“You know what the stereotype is for a hidden military base in the apocalypse?” asked Buckshot, “For the undead apocalypse, the base is either a colony of survivors who have a significant amount of ammo, weapons, food, and medicine, or…”
“Or what?” asked Applebloom. He blue pegasus looked back at her with a smile.
“Or it’s a horde of zombie ponies about the size of an army,” he replied, turning back around in his seat, “If the possibilities play out the bad way, well, it’ll be interestin’.”

Sweetie Belle looked down at the radar map in front of her on the control panel of the helicopter. In all of the colorful lines that came across the black background of the screen, she could definitely make out a more straightened shape that could only mean pony-made structures.
“We should be right above it,” she said, looking down through the windshield into the dense forest below, “Go in a little lower.” The AW101 lowered in altitude a bit, but the white unicorn still couldn’t see the base.
“I can definitely see that it wasn’t meant to be entered by air,” Buckshot remarked. He maneuvered the helicopter slightly lower towards the trees, close enough that the air movement created by the rotors was blowing the branches. Still, no structures could be seen.
“Are you sure there’s even something here?” Lockheed asked, looking through the side cargo door window into the dense forest.
“There is at least some type of structure here,” replied Sweetie Belle, looking at the radar again, “Either that or trees and rocks can naturally make that kind of shape.” Suddenly the helicopter gave a violent shake and the unforgiving sound of beeping resounded within the chopper’s cabin.
“Aw crap,” said Buckshot, looking down at the control panel to see a small red light blinking in synch with the beeping. “I’m gonna find us a place to land.” He maneuvered the AW101 forward and began looking around the area for a clear spot. Another violent shake came through the chopper.
“What the hell is going on?” Lockheed exclaimed, looking frantically out the windows. Once again, the helicopter shook violently, and this time the rotors began slowing. The aircraft then stalled and began falling.
“Hang on!” yelled Sweetie Belle as the chopper was then bombarded by branches. The sound of snapping and bending metal ensued as the trees ripped the blades of the helicopter off. The aircraft’s tail was then caught by the braches, ceasing its forward movement and jerking it back. The nose of the helicopter then pitched downwards, the sudden weight being put on the branches causing them to break and the chopper hit the ground in a metal heap.
The five ponies moaned in pain as they stood up inside the mangled cabin of the chopper.
“Everypony okay?” Lockheed asked, looking at the other four.
“Fine.”
“Okay.” It was painful all over their bodies, man that was gonna be sore later.
“Okay, everyone, grab your stuff and get out of the chopper quickly,” Lockheed commanded, “Who knows what other surprises could happen.” They all quickly retrieved their weapons and saddlebags and began looking for a way out of the helicopter. The tan pegasus tried the side cargo door, jammed.
“Hold on,” said Buckshot, drawing a crowbar out from behind him, (how long had he been carrying that? ) He smashed it against the windshield of the helicopter, shattering the already cracked and weakened glass.
“Everypony watch how you get out, don’t want to cut yer-selves open,” the blue pegasus cautioned as he climbed out the windshield. He was followed by Lockheed, Sweetie Belle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo soon after.
“What the buck was that anyway?” Applebloom asked, “Ah ain’t never seen a helicopter just suddenly blow itself out of the sky before.”
“I don’t know,” replied Lockheed, “But I definitely know for sure it didn’t do that on its own.” He pulled back the slide on his firearm, and damn it was one scary gun! The tan colt was armed with an AK-47 with a military scope and a dual-drum ammunition clip. (How he had been carrying something like that and she hadn’t noticed, the filly had no idea.)
“Maybe it came from that,” said Buckshot, pointing a hoof. In the direction in which his hoof was pointed was a huge concrete wall with guard towers on each end. In the middle was a large steel gate, closed of course. The vegetation of the forest had gotten to it, plants growing up along the wall.
“Well, looks like we found our supply hunt,” said Sweetie Belle. She paused as she remembered their recent predicament. “Wait a minute, we can’t get back!”
“Don’t worry, we’ll just go back to the helicopter and get….” Lockheed was cut off from his sentence as the five young ponies heard an explosion behind them. They turned around to see the helicopter, what was left of it, burning and debris raining down in the area around it.
“….the radio,” Lockheed finished with a dejected sigh.
“Huh, and my family said that only happened in the movies. The things we learn every day,” said Buckshot, seeming unfazed by the occurrence.
“So, stranded?” Sweetie Belle tried.
“Pretty much,” replied Lockheed.

“Hmm,” said Sweetie Belle as she looked over the steel doors, “How’re we supposed to get in?”
“I gots dis’,” said Buckshot as he drew one of the two guns strapped around his back. The one he clutched in his front hooves was a SPAS-12 with a solid stock instead of the collapsible one, and still strapped behind him was a lever-action hunting rifle. There was probably also a revolver on him as well. The navy colored pegasus raised the shotgun and fired the buckshot at the steel door. Only to jump back and duck as the shot bounced off the gate and scattered around his hind hooves and above his head.
“Okay then,” he said as he dropped back to all four hooves. “Gimme a moment.” He drew a stack of something long and red out of his saddlebags that were strapped together.
“Is that dynamite?!?” exclaimed Lockheed.
“Yep,” replied Buckshot, putting a lighter to the fuse and tossing it at the door before anyone could say anything. “I’d take cover.” Having no time before the TNT blew, they all knelt down and cover their heads with their front hooves. When the dust settled, there was a large hole in the gate.
“Are you crazy or somethin’?” Lockheed said.
“Ah, Lockheed, would a crazed colt randomly throw dynamite at a door just because he’s too lazy to figure something else out?” asked Buckshot with a tsk tsk tone.
“Forget it,” the green and black manned colt said before trotting ahead into the base. He was followed by the others soon after. They found themselves standing in the middle of a large open area, buildings on three sides of the base, the fourth uncovered one being the wall they had just walked through. And, to their surprise, when you looked up, you could see the sky!
“How can we see the sky from down here when we couldn’t see the base from above?” asked Scootaloo.
“Must be some kind of cloaking device,” said Lockheed as he took notice of the multiple items of technological equipment on the roofs of buildings.
“So there must be survivors here!” said Scootaloo excitedly.
“No, can’t be. If there were, they would’ve come running guns blazing when Bucky tossed the TNT,” said Lockheed, giving a look towards said colt, “Must be some kind of generator, one run on unicorn magic that could last years without a refuel.”
“Okay then, if we’re done talking about magical generators for cloaking devices, I say we should start hunting,” Buckshot spoke up.

The five had split up and had begun searching around the relatively average size military base.
“Hmm, whadda we have here?” Buckshot thought aloud as he opened a dusty white binder he had found on a desk in which he believed was the main command room.
“Barracks, watches, duties, HUUUUGH! Armory code!” The blue pegasus tore the page out of the binder and eagerly ran out of the room and in the direction of where the armory was located.
Lockheed stepped through a door into one of the larger buildings to see numerous tables and chairs scattered in the room. On the walls there were the torn remains of flags that held the symbols of branches of the Equestria Military. There were entryways that led to a room that had tiling all over and metal bars that appeared to be fences to keep lines in order.
“The kitchen, probably won’t find much here,” the tan pegasus still went through to the kitchen anyways, and began opening any doors that he could find. Every single one opened, except one metal cabinet near the back of the room. On the door was a large padlock, which wouldn’t open without a key, or a couple AK bullets. The lock fell to the ground with a clunk and Lockheed pulled the door open.
“Oh my Luna, who would’ve known they would have these,” he said in surprise, and began dumping the packs into his saddlebags.
Applebloom walked down a hallway that ran high above the ground between the upper floors of two buildings. It was one of those walkways that were very wide and had large windows running along the sides. All of the windows were shattered now, either large shards still sticking out from the paneling, or completely gone.
“Ah think this would be a good spot,” she said. The filly walked over to the left side of the hall and drew out her M14 sniper rifle. Standing up on her hind hooves and setting the rifle down on the windowsill, she looked through the scope. She tested the zoom to see how up close she could aim at something. Then remembering the red switch on the side of the scope, this was probably a good time to test the infrared. She flipped it on, and nearly screamed. Applebloom jumped away from the windowsill in fear. Calming herself, she picked the rifle back up and looked through the scope again. All around the base, only now revealed from the infrared, were numerous, probably an entire army, of figures with a disarray of color of heat temperature registered by the infrared. Which could only mean one thing…..
“Shit.” The filly suddenly felt a presence behind her. She slowly turned around, to stare right into the freaky looking eyes of an undead pony. Applebloom screamed.

“What the hell?” exclaimed Buckshot, having heard the scream. Dropping the shotgun he was looking at, which he would get later, he ran from the armory. Right into an entire group of the bastards.

Lockheed walked out the front door of the cafeteria into the large outdoor space of the base. It was completely empty, well, except for the all the motherbucking zombies that suddenly showed up! And Luna forbid, they were all staring right at him.
“Oh Celestia,” he said, drawing out his AK-47. “How da’ ya’ like it redneck style!?!” He opened fire on the ragged forms.

The undead pony lunged at Applebloom, its hooves barely missing the filly as she jumped to the side. The creature came at her again, this time tackling her and taking her to the ground.
“Oh no ya’ don’t,” said Applebloom as she rolled over on top of it. Drawing out a switchblade, she flipped it open and sunk it deep into the zombie’s neck. The figure stopped moving.
“Don’t mess with a country filly.” Applebloom turned back to the window and took aim at the zombies down below.

“I shove a shotgun in your face, and then I turn you into paste!” Buckshot sang childishly as he pumped the round he was named after into the bodies of the undead ponies. One jumped at him, only to face-plant into the wall when the blue pegasus jumped into the air and hovered in place.
“Cause, psych!” he called out, “Smoke bombs, away!” The hall instantly filled with dense smoke and he flew down it above all the snarling monsters. As he cleared the smoke, there was one zombie who had spotted him and broken away from the group to gallop after him. The pegasus colt closed his wings and began galloping down the hall again. He rounded a corner and temporarily went out of view of the zombie. The undead pony came around the corner to see the colt holding his crowbar.
“Surprise motherbucker,” he said in a fake deep voice. He swung the weapon around, smacking the zombie right in the side of the head. The creature went down. The colt then proceeded towards the door that led outside.

“Oh my Celestia, where did they all come from?” exclaimed Sweetie Belle, taking down yet another zombie with her telekinetically held trench gun.
“They must’ve come through that hole in the door, probably attracted by the explosion,” replied Lockheed, “Aw crap, the pegasi corpses are here.”
“I got em’,” said Scootaloo, taking her aim to the sky with the over-and-under shotgun. Her mastery of sport shooting was soon paying off as she took down zombie pegasi with every shot. They suddenly ducked as bullets flew right above their heads. The three looked to the source. Leave it to a zombie and its stupidity to get itself stuck behind an M2 machine gun.
Applebloom attempted to take aim on the zombie gunner, only to duck as fifty caliber bullets assaulted the wall. The creature had spotted her and had tried to come in her direction, only to be blocked by the gun and in turn, accidentally firing off the weapon.
“Oh, so their IQ of zero has finally paid off for them,” remarked Applebloom in irritation. She grabbed the rifle once again and began moving off the walkway towards one of the buildings, staying low to avoid the machine gun.
“Can things get any worse?!” said Lockheed as he was back to back with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. The zombies had surrounded them and were getting closer to them with each minute. Pretty soon, they would be on them. Aloud roar erupted from the cloudy sky, the large creature bursting through the clouds and down towards the base.
“I just had to ask,” said Lockheed.

Chapter 4: Barbeque!
“Well that can’t be good,” said Sweetie Belle as she looked up at the zombified dragon. The thing was huge! Its entire body looked like it had been left on a grill for too long, its entire figure completely charred and black. Its eyes were a glowing yellow. Same as the fire it breathed down on them. The three ponies ducked out of the way, completely ignoring the zombie ponies. But they weren’t a worry anymore. Their bodies burned as the fire consumed them, falling to the ground in a motionless heap, allowing the three to duck to safety behind anything that couldn’t burn.
“What the buck is happening out….HOLY DAMN!!!!!” yelled Buckshot when he saw the creature. The dragon turned its head in his direction, and spit fire down at him.
“Oh shit!” he said as he ducked behind a large chunk of concrete that had fallen from one of the buildings long ago. The concrete deflected the flames, except something was left burning.
“AH, tail’s on fire, tail’s on fire, tail’s on fire!” he said as he stomped it out. The door behind him burst open, and Applebloom came galloping out, and skidded to a halt when she saw the undead dragon.
“Ya’ got to be kiddin’ me!” the blue pegasus yanked her behind the concrete shield as even more fire rained down upon the area.
“Not the best idea to be standin’ out in the open like that,” the pegasus remarked, drawing out the lever-action rifle.
“No way, Ah had no idea,” Applebloom replied sarcastically. The blue pony leaned up over the concrete chunk, taking aim at the monster and pulling the trigger. The bullet only pissed off the monster and it roared loud enough to vibrate the ground. It opened its jaw preparing to spit fire down at the two once again when it was suddenly blown to the side with a loud explosion.
“How da’ ya’ like that you son of a bitch!!!!!!” Lockheed was heard yelling at the thing. Applebloom and Buckshot looked up over the concrete shielding them to see……Lockheed was in a bucking TANK! The dragon got back up; the tanks missile had only wounded its wing, rendering it unable to fly.
“Motherbucker, have another!” The tank fired another round, this one hitting the dragon in the stomach. It blew off a large amount of its flesh, causing blood to spill everywhere. The creature got up once again and began limping its way towards the tank. And it was limping fast too; what did it take to kill this thing?!
“Uh oh,” Lockheed quickly jumped out of the military machine, having no time to reload it. The dragon picked it up in its jaw and began tearing the thing apart.
“Hey, I was gonna take that with me!” the tan pegasus shouted at it in disapproval. The beast dropped the tank and spit fire in his direction. Lockheed quickly ducked behind an overturned military bus.
On second thought, it doesn’t matter that much,” he said. He peeked out towards the creature. It was still strong, the fact that blood was pouring out of its gullet wasn’t affecting it due to, you know, the thing not needing it anyway. But, it was becoming less mobile because of its now not-so-held-together limbs. Taking a chance, the tan pegasus ran out from behind the bus and to the wall of one of the buildings. He crouched down and began making his way to where Applebloom and Buckshot were. The dragon continued to blow fire at the overturned bus, not knowing Lockheed had moved. And the tan pegasus was glad he did. The heat of the dragon’s fire was melting the metal surface of the bus. Lockheed made it behind the concrete chunk.
“It’s weakened, just one last big wound and it’s done,” he told them.
“So what do we do?” Applebloom asked.
“Shoot him,” replied Lockheed.
“Shooting won’t do anything, it’ll only piss him off,” countered Buckshot.
“That’s what I want, if he’s pissed off, he’s distracted, and if he’s distracted, I can do something,” the tan pony explained.
“And what exactly do ya’ plan to do?” asked Applebloom. Lockheed began looking up and around at the buildings. His gaze stopped at something particular on the roof.
“You’ll see,” he grabbed Buckshot’s crowbar from the blue pony’s belt in his mouth and ran inside the building behind them.
“Ah hope he knows what he doin’,” said Applebloom.
“I hope he doesn’t lose my crowbar,” said Buckshot. The two grabbed their rifles. Applebloom punched another ammo clip in and Buckshot slid bullets into the tubular magazine.
Lockheed burst through the door of the building. From the direction he was facing, he needed to get to the roof of the building to his left. The only way to get to it would be to cross a catwalk extending from the roofs of the two buildings. The pegasus ran through a bunch of scattered chairs and coffee tables littering was appeared to be a main room to get to a staircase at the back. As he jumped over a table, he was tackled by an undead pony wearing the tatters that remained of a military uniform. They went into a death roll, hitting against a table with the zombie on top.
“Not….going….to happen,” Lockheed grunted as he brought out a combat knife. He jammed the weapon into the zombie’s face, and managed to push the creature off of him. The pegasus colt stomped down on the undead pony, getting back his knife. He backed up, trying to draw his AK-47 when the zombie pony got back up with amazing speed. It stood up on its hind legs and swung at the colt, knocking him to the ground. Lockheed sat up against the wall, the other pony dropping back to all fours and coming at him once again.
“Yippie ki yay motherbucker,” Lockheed strained, managing to get out Bucky’s crowbar. The zombie ran right into it, the straighter end of the metal tool plunging into the creature’s chest. The tan pegasus stood up, shoving the object deeper into the zombie. It fell to the ground and lied there motionless.
“Call a doctor, take two of these and call me in the morning,” said Lockheed mockingly, using the feathers of his wings to flick-off the forever dead zombie. He pulled the crowbar back out of the creature, the weapon covered and dripping with blood. Buckshot was gonna be pissed. The tan pegasus shook some of the blood of the crowbar and then went into the staircase.
Buckshot once again began sliding bullets one by one into the tubular magazine of the rifle. Four shots, dear Celestia he needed to upgrade the capacity on this thing. He jerked the lever down and back up to the trigger.
“Where is Lockheed with that plan of his?” Applebloom asked in irritation. They had been sniping this dragon for a while and it was getting angrier with every shot taken at it. It had already breathed fire down at them five times.
“Swear to Celestia, he had better not have been killed by a zombie,” said Buckshot, “Oh, that has got to hurt,” he remarked, taking notice that he had just shot the dragon right between its rear legs. The zombified creature spit flames down at them once again.
Scootaloo looked up from where she was crouched next to Sweetie Belle behind more large chunks of concrete that had fallen from the buildings. The dragon was still spilling blood and limping around, but it was still threatening. The orange pegasus then looked down at where the dragon seemed to be focusing on. She saw Applebloom and Bucky taking shots at the bastard, ducking every time flames were thrown down at them.
“I’m going in,” said Scootaloo, stuffing shells into the over-and-under shotgun.
“You’ll be barbequed!” exclaimed Sweetie Belle, also loading her trench gun knowing that the daring pegasus was going to do it anyway.
“Who needs to stay cooled, when you have swag,” replied Scootaloo, flipping the shotgun closed. She galloped out from behind the concrete shield and right at the dragon.
“What the buck is she doing,” said Applebloom. She aimed and fired. A puff of dust appeared as the bullet impacted the ground right in front of Scootaloo. She looked towards Applebloom in annoyance.
“Oh my Luna, are you serious?” exclaimed Buckshot, witnessing Sweetie Belle running out after Scootaloo, “Don’t be a dumbass, cover yourselves!” he yelled out to them. If they wanted to join in the shooting, fine, but not in the open where the dragon had full sight of them and could cook them in less than a second.
“Well, Ah guess Ah know what to do now,” said Applebloom, jumping up from behind the concrete chunk and galloping in to join the fight.
“Great, it always happens like this,” Buckshot sighed. He stowed his rifle and loaded shotshells into the SPAS-12 and running towards the undead dragon.
“Eat slugs you stupid gelding!” shouted Scootaloo, firing the powerful slug rounds at the creature. The orange pegasus quickly broke open the over-under and shoved two more rounds into the gun. She flipped it closed again as the dragon’s tail swung around at her.
“Uh oh.” The tail of the zombified creature smacked into her, throwing the pegasus fifteen yards through the air and crashing into the hard concrete wall. She groaned in agony as she fell to the ground.
“Scootaloo!” yelled Sweetie Belle, she looked to her fallen friend and then back at the dragon.
“Go help her, we’ll deal with this bastard,” Buckshot told her. The white unicorn filly ran to where Scootaloo was as the navy blue pegasus turned back to the dragon, switching his shotgun to semi-automatic.
“You just walked into the wrong battle you god damn piece of worthless motherbucking shit!!!!!” he yelled, firing slug rounds at the creature as fast as he could pull the trigger.
“Scootaloo! Scootaloo! Are you okay?” Sweetie Belle asked frantically.
“I think so….ooh, nope, not okay,” the orange pegasus replied, feeling excruciating pain in her left hind leg, back, and chest area, “I think my leg’s broken.”
“Okay, you’ll be fine. We just need to get to a doctor,” Sweetie Belle assured. The filly suddenly looked up as she heard a familiar voice.
“Hey jackass!” Lockheed Gunship screamed at the dragon as he threw the crowbar. The tool bounced off the creature’s head and it turned towards the where the tan pegasus sat perched on the roof. He was sitting at the controls for two anti-aircraft missiles.
“Adios,” said Lockheed as he hit the “Launch” button. The missiles rocketed towards the dragon. Flesh, blood, and body parts flew in every which direction, the dragon finally meeting its match.
“That…..was…..AWESOME!!!!!!” exclaimed Buckshot, falling to his back in amazement and tiredness.
