//-------------------------------------------------------// The Story of Light -by Light Flash- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Awaken //-------------------------------------------------------// Awaken I used to live a normal life, I think. I can’t clearly remember anything before that day, that strange day. All I know is, that I was a boy, I think, and I was about twenty or so.  Now, let’s go back to “That day”, as I keep calling it. Let’s see… It was about 1:00PM, Tuesday, the first of January, 1980. I can’t remember how it all happened; all I know, is that I was laying on some soft, yet crunchy and brittle stuff; probably leaves, on my belly, and I woke up, to, of all things, a pony, watching me sleep. Specifically a pegasus, watching me sleep. Kinda creepy if you think about it, but then, when I looked at its face… It seemed to have a concerned look on its face. I can remember it like it was yesterday; its big, blue, cartoonish eyes, its blonde eyebrows partially raised.  It saw me awoken, and its concern seemed to lessen. At what it did next, mine grew. “Hello? Are you okay?” the pony spoke. My mind went into disbelief, and, without thinking, I shouted at it. “Y… You can talk?!” The pony seemed to be startled, as it jumped back, with a confused look on its face. “Well, yeah… I am a pony, after all…” the pony said, and, judging from the sound and gruffness of its voice, I’m fairly sure it was male. He was looking at me, as if I were ignorant. By this point, I believed I was either dreaming, or I’d gone mad. “B-but that’s why you shouldn’t…  B-be able to…!” he looked at me, as if I was mad. “Did you hit you hit your head, or something? You’re a pony, too.” Okay, last time I checked, I’m fairly positive I didn’t have hooves or a tail. I checked my body out, just to be sure. What I found was quite unsettling. The pegasus standing before me was absolutely right, I was a pony. A pegasus, with a navy blue coat and a black tail. This is about the point where I started freaking out. “I… I…” I began, before the pegasus interrupted me. “Have a really bad case of amnesia?” I couldn’t really think of any other logical explanation, so I nodded in agreement. “Well… Do you have somewhere to live?” I shook my head no. “… Did you want to stay with me?” I looked towards the ground. "I… If it’s not too much to ask… I-I could pay you…” He thought for a moment, and then began to grin. “How about a compromise?” “H-how do you mean?” I squeaked out. “Well, you could be my ‘pet’, and in exchange, you wouldn’t have to pay, and I’ll keep you fed and watered. Sound good?” I thought for a moment. ‘What does he mean by “pet”?’ He waited patiently for my answer, and I slowly nodded. “Great!” All of a sudden, he span me around, and then gasped. “Oh, you naughty colt!” ‘Yeah, says the one who’s looking at my privates…’ At that moment, I felt something wet go up the length of my member, making me gasp. “You’ve got both!” he exclaimed. The pony brought his head back up, and looked at me with happy eyes.  “Oh, I forgot to mention, my name’s Almaz, but you can call me Almy. What’s yours?” I stared off into the distance. ‘Do I even have a name?’ I wondered to myself, trying to remember if I did. “M… My name?...” “Yeah,” Almaz spoke. “… You do have a name, right?” “W-well… I don’t know…” I whispered. “Would you like me to name you?” I nodded, and Almaz looked up at the sky. “Hmm… Light Flash.” he decided. ‘Light Flash? What a weird name…’ I thought to myself. “Right, well, let’s go home now.” Almaz flapped his wings, and took off, as I was barely even to my fee- or, I should say, hooves.  “W-wait!” I cried out, trying to run after him. “What?” he called down to me, as he was circling around in the air, staring down at me. “I… I can’t fly!” I shouted to him, still struggling to walk on all fours. I have to admit, I must have looked pretty silly. “Okay… Do you want me to walk with you?” Almaz asked, touching down on the ground. “Y-yes…” I stuttered, as I slipped and fell over. Almaz helped me up, and it must have been at least half an hour before we reached Almaz’s house, and just before we got there, I finally got the hang of walking. //-------------------------------------------------------// New Friends //-------------------------------------------------------// New Friends He opened the door, and let me in. Immediately, I saw some… Black, insecty looking thing, sitting in the corner, with holes, like swiss cheese, all over its hooves, and chitinous wings, and a long, curvy horn on its forehead. “... W-what’s that?” I asked Almaz, who was coming through the door with me. I swear, that thing must have extremely sensitive hearing, because I was whispering, and also halfway across the room, and it heard me. It turned to look at me, then squeaked and ran behind the couch, hiding behind it. “... That, would be Jade.” he responded, seeing her(I assume it was a she, anyway) reaction to me. “D-don’t hurt me!” she screamed at me, with sheer terror in her voice. “W… why would I hurt you?...” She slowly poked her head over the top of the couch. “Y… you m-mean you’re docile?...” I slowly nodded, and Jade jumped over the couch, going prone when she landed. “You mean, you won’t fight back?” At about this time, I started backing away from her, as she began crawling towards me; like a ocelot stalking its prey. “Nice… friendly… pony…” Jade licked her lips, staring at me, as if I was… Food. Unnerving, to say the least. She had almost reached me, as I felt myself bump into a wall. Jade was upon me, ready to bite into my neck. I began to panic. “Enough, off him.” Almaz said, and Jade did as he said; she backed off me, and sat down. “Light, this is Jade, my resident Changeling. Jade, this is Light, my new pet.” ‘Tell the whole world, why don’t you...’ I thought to myself. “Pet? As in, that kind of pet?” she asked Almaz, and he nodded. “Yes, Jade. That kind of pet.” “H-hey, A-Almaz?...” I quietly asked, trying not to get attacked by Jade again. “Hmm?” “W-what do you mean by “that” kind of pet?” “Oh, well… it’ll become clear soon enough.” he responded, with a small grin on his face. “Hey, what do you two say to having some dinner?” I nodded, suddenly feeling very hungry. Jade also nodded, seeming as eager to eat as me.
