The Apple Tree & the Olive bush
Gala night!
Previous Chapter"I'm really nervous, Twilight. What if maybe you and Fluttershy misheard and she doesn't li--" was all I could get out before Twilight pinched my lips shut, making me look like I impersonate ducks for a living. She shook her head and said, "Olive, she spoke loud and clear when she told Fluttershy and I. Besides, she couldn't be lying, because she's the Element of Honesty. Now hurry up and get ready. Rainbow Dash will be here in a few. And let's be honest here; her and patience don't get along well."
30 minutes later...
"Well, here we are. In Canterlot again." said Spike as we walked towards the doors to the Gala. When we opened them, it was as if I was back in the Manehattan conference rooms for the fashion industries I worked under; people who walk like they had a stick shoved up their butts and no sense of liveness. Applejack went to go set up a food stand, her Brother following. Twilight went to go dance with Spike, and Rainbow Dash went to meet Soarin. As for Fluttershy, she went to try her luck with the animals...again.
I went to the fountain in the center of the garden. I looked at my reflection. I was wearing an olive green dress with a rose made of green silk stitched over my heart. I had on make up that (sadly) only the rich people could afford. I thought of how I should ask AJ when I realized there is no need to worry. Now I need to find Applejack and ask the big question. I ran, even though I was wearing high heels, to the stand that AJ had set up, and asked her if I could speak to her in private. She shrugged and said sure, then asked Big Macintosh to cover for her.
"So, what is it you want to talk about, Ollie?" She said as I lead her up to the mountain at the end of the garden. I stopped walking and leaned in closer. I saw the barest hint of a blush. I took advantage of the moment and kissed her full on the lips. The moistness of her soft lips felt good against mine as I tilted my head to the right. I then backed up, and saw that Applejack's face had gone bright red under the eyes. "That," I said. She grabbed my waist and brought me in as she said, "Well believe me, I don't have a problem talking about this," and caressed my hips as she pressed her lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and closed my eyes, loving the sensation I was getting.
We were lying in the grass, our bodies intertwined as we cuddled. I looked at her, and asked "Would you be my special somepony?" She giggled and said "Do you think I'd do that if I didn't want that?" I shook my head, and she said "I'd love that more than anything." I then helped her up and asked, "Care to dance?" She nodded, and we ran to the Ballroom, dress skirts flapping from the breeze that passed by us. We went to the center of the floor and danced to the slow remedy that was playing. The people stood in a heart shape, as it was obvious we were two mares deep in love.
and that is how we became known as The Apple Tree & the Olive Bush.
