"Hold still, darling." Rarity murmured to a fidgeting Applejack, trying to sew up the dress she was making for her.

"Ah'd be able to if ya'd stop pokin' me with them needles!" Applejack sighed stubbornly. lAnd hurry up while you're at it!"

Rarity rolled her eyes, exasperated, then lowered her head again, squinting her eyes and sewing faster.

"I'm trying as hard as I can, Applejack," Rarity said, forcing a smile. "I would get the job done quicker if you would stop moving around."

Applejack facepalmed in frustration. She undid the buttons on the dress and started to step out of it.

"HEY!" Rarity exclaimed, dropping her sewing kit , which collided with the floor with a BANG, causing everything in the box to scatter across the ground.

"Ah can't take it anymore!" Applejack snapped, sliding the dress across the floor with her foot.

"Ah know you're a perfectionist, but I was standing there for an hour and y'all're barely getting started!"

Rarity, taken by surprise at this sudden outburst, took a few steps back and leaned against the wall. "Applejack, darling, I'm under a lot of pressure. I need all of these dresses to be perfect or my career will be ruined.." Rarity murmured, blinking back the tears. Rarity stared down at the floor. Applejack knew Rarity could exaggerate and be dramatic, but she seemed like her feelings were really hurt. Applejack walked over to Rarity and wrapped her arms around her. Rarity stood still. "Ah'm sorry, ah didn' mean it." Applejack whispered over and over. After a little while, Rarity's crying reduced to sniffling, and then stopped. She still didn't move, but felt her cheeks burning up. After a minute, Applejack slowly pulled away from the hug and looked into Rarity's ocean blue eyes. Rarity thought her cheeks were going to burst into flames at any given moment. Applejack scrunched her nose, and slowly leaned in. Their hearts seemed to be beating in sync. They stood there, noses almost touching. Rarity raised an eyebrow, wondering what was taking so long. Applejack chuckled and put her lips against Rarity's. Rarity's eyes widened with the sudden gesture, but she did not protest and instead leaned forward, causing Applejack to trip up a little. It seemed like they were standing there for an eternity, and both were hoping it would never end. Rarity pulled her arms up and put them around Applejack's neck. Rarity could clearly see that Applejack was relieved that she had accepted the gesture. Applejack nervously pulled away after a while. "So uh... Yeah." Applejack said. They were both unsure what to do next. Rarity hugged Applejack, but they both lost their balance and fell  onto the floor. "Don't get used to this happening every time we fight." Rarity snapped.

"Ah know it won't." The freckled cowgirl said with a smirk. "That's why ah'm makin' the most of it." Applejack started to lean in. Closer, closer, closer until…

"Rarity, I kinda have a pro-" Rainbow dash started, bursting through the door. The neutral expression on her face soon changed.

"Uh…"
