Failure

Train chugs to Canterlot. Twilight and her friends leaves the train and walks to the palace.

"I wonder what Princess Celestia called me for? I sounds rather urgent.", Twilight wonders.

"Don't worry about a thing.", Applejack said. "Whatever it is I know you'll handle it."

"Thanks Applejack.", Twilight said smiling sadly.

"Are you okay, sugar-cube?", Applejack asks in concern.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine.", Twilight replies.

"I you say so", Applejack said suspiciously, but decides to leave it be feeling that it is personal.

The mane 6 and spike enters the throne room. "We've arrive just as you asked, Princess Celestia.", Twilight said smiling. "What do you need me here for?"

"I'm entrusting you to a very large and important task. Canterlot is having a large party with the other kingdoms of Eqeustria.

This party is very important as it is what maintains our relationship with the kingdom. However there are those who are willing to break this relationship. Are you up to the task of defending this party?", Celestia asks.

"You can count on me, Princess. I'll never let you down.", Twilight replies with a smile.

Later in the party

The guests were having great fun and all is well. Outside the walls of Canterlot, several cloak figures watch in a distance. One of the figures pulls out a pocket watch and sees the time.

"Should be here by now.", the figure said wickedly putting the watch away.

"There it is!", the other figure shouts pointing at a large dragon flying over them to Canterlot.

"Have you sabotaged the defenses?", the lead figure asks calmly.

"YES, SIR AND THE OTHERS HAVE FINISHED UP THE REST OF PHASE TWO.", the figure replies in a monotonic voice.

"This is boring! I want action!", the female figure shouts in frustration.

"Patience my comrade, Twilight Sparkle is crucial for our master's plan. She is the reincarnation of an the creature that possess the power to destroy the world.", the lead figure said.

Back in Canterlot the dragon breaks through the window of the castle and breathe its flame. The guests flee in fear. Behind the dragon is the city engulfed in flame. Celestia and Luna flies in front of the dragon and blasts it out of the city.

The figures witness the action.

"Hah, I was right! This lasted only ten minutes.", the aggressive female said laughing. The others but the lead figure mumbles as they give her ten bits.

Later as the city recovers...

The mane 6 are in the throne room with Celestia and Luna. Twilight looks down in shame not wanting to look at Celestia's angry face.

"I'm sorry princess. I just don't know what went...", Twilight said before Celestia interrupts her.

"You were the one charged with protecting us all. I believed you could live up to the expectation. Now I see my error to it and its all because of your choices. This incident has cost us our relationship with the other kingdoms, you were just lucky I was able to mend it a bit to prevent war. You have a lot to think about.", Celestia said as she leaves the room.

Twilight falls into tears realizing that her nightmare was coming true.

"C'mon, y'all. Let's go check on the princess.", Applejack said as she and the other elements of harmony leave the room. Luna slowly follow shaking her head. As she closes the door, she felt something disturbing.

"That is this feeling that I felt.", Luna said in shock as she looks around her surround. "I may no longer be connected to the element, but I still possess some of its powers like reading emotions. I can sense despair and it coming from... Twilight?"

Luna turns to the door in confusion and shock. "True what my sister said and done is harsh, but dealt with this situation much harsher than this. It's as if she knew it was going to happen. I believe its best to see her dreams.", Luna said herself as she closes her eyes.

Twilight's Mind

Luna flies through several orbs possessing Twilight's memory. She then stops in front of a large black orb.

"A black orb? This was never here before.", Luna said as she puts her horn to it only to be shocked and pushed away. "I've been rejected!? How could it reject me?" Luna glows her horn. "It's best to copy this memory and decipher this. Doing this here could break Twilight's mind beyond repair." As the finishes her job Luna leaves. "I suspect this may hold the answers."

In the throne room

Twilight continues crying to the floor in despair. "Everypony hates me.", Twilight cries. With all her strength she stands, hung her head down and started to walk out of the throne room. The then teleports out of Canterlot.

Ponyville

Twilight teleports in front of her library tree house. Twilight looks up sadly to open the door, but stops and sees her things outside. Twilight walks to the door and reads a note pinned on it.

Dear Twilight Sparkle

But we have already picked a new Wielder of Magic. Her name is Trixie, and she is a quick learner too. I have already taken her back as my protege and soon she will be my best student of all time, surpassing even what you could ever have been. In fact, Spike has willingly pledged himself as her assistant from this day onwards. He will do his best to help her be better than you.

Also you parent have disown you from the family for bringing shame to their name. Trixie is now their new daughter.

Without warning, a speeding rock barely missed her ear by an inch. She looks to see the rock lodged into the house. The said projectile was imbedded deep in the trunk, the impact would have seriously hurt or even killed her. It was obvious that the rock was aimed for her, and her mouth opened wide in disbelief once she saw a familiar aura surrounding it.

The aura was Shining Armor's. Realizing that even the brother hates her, Twilight grabs her saddlebag and runs to the Everfree forest.

As Twilight leaves a dragon and griffin pops out of the bush. "That worked better than I originally thought.", the dragon said as he use his magic to levitate the rock in a blue aura, then a red aura.

"Twilight's heart is so broken that it is impossible to fix up and by the time they found the way it will be too late.", the griffin said in an insane manner.

"Don't get overconfident. These ponies have a habit of making the impossible possible. Don't take any chances. We must prepare for the her friends and family once they realize the truth.", the dragon said as both he and the griffin take flight.

Twilight walks to the forest with her mind broken and tears staining her face. But Twilight didn't care anymore. She was stripped of everything she had ever been proud of. The Wielder of Magic, protege to Princess Celestia, her friends, her brother were all torn away from her; and even her own parents had disowned her. She no longer had anything. In fact is nothing as all, but an empty shell.

Twilight slowly disappears into the darkness of the forest.
