Originally conceived as a one off unofficial continuation to a story that has now been completed, this is a prologue meant to lead up to a bigger story I'm planning on doing later on.

A few months ago Princess Twilight Sparkle fell under the influence of the newly returned King Sombra and through dark magic was tricked in to not only becoming his student, but also his queen. However the two quickly fell in to a mutual romance. But eventually Celestia and Luna lead a campaign against Sombra and attacked his newly risen castle hoping to rescue Twilight.

Sombra was killed and his mind returned to just being the will of dark magic, and though he tried to manipulate Twlight's mind to retain a living pressence, he failed. Twilight fell in to a deep depression upon returning to Canterlot, causing her to become reclusive for months on end as she mourned the death of her lover.

All the while using illusion magic to hide her own pregnancy as she planned to commit suicide after the child's birth.

Now the child has been born and Celestia, Luna, Cadance and Shining Armor must agree on what to do with Night Shade, the son of King Sombra
