When Fluttershy stumbles upon a wounded Pegasus knight, she takes him in and nurses him back to health. He reveals to her that he is the leader of a rebel force from the foreign land of Dalkia, currently fighting against a ruthless Alicorn King. When he tells the Element wielders that he seeks to liberate his home and free its inhabitants from the King's corrupt rule, they take him to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

As the Princesses discuss their course of action, Cloud Hunter adapts to Equestria's lifestyle and is surprised by how peaceful the land is, growing fond of it and its inhabitants. As he spends time with Fluttershy and her friends, the shy Pegasus eventually begins to develop feelings for the honourable knight. But when the time comes, her life and the lives of her friends will change forever when they go with him, back to his war-torn home.

When the war is over, will he go back to live in Equestria with her?
