The Fall of Canterlot (MLH)
A new day awakens. Silver-Bullet stands up from the only half decent rest he's had in weeks. "Finally I have an okay rest for a change...been waking up at 2:00 A.M. every night for 6 weeks and haven't been able to get back to sleep." said Silver-Bullet while he was stretching.
"ATTENSHUN!" yelled Shining Armor as he walked into the barracks. Everyone immediately stood up straight, arms at their sides, beside their beds. "GET YOUR ARMOR ON AND GET TO THE TRAINING GROUNDS! YOU HAVE 2 MINUTES!" One of the guards raised his hand as he said "What about breakfast?" Shining Armor looked at him and marched over to him. "YOU WILL GET BREAKFAST WHEN YOU PROVE TO ME YOU DESERVE IT!" Everyone said at the same time, "Yes sir!" Shining Armor marched out of the barracks.
Hours pass and Silver-Bullet was patrolling Canterlot with a small band of men from his squadron. "Hey look, a train's coming." said Butch. Silver-Bullet looked over, and saw the train pulling in at the train station. Twilight and the others, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash walked out. "Weee! Let's go!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie hopping up and down. "Remember girls, Princess Celestia said she sensed a grave danger approaching. We're here to-"
before Twilight could finish her sentence, the others were already gone doing their own things. Twilight sighed in annoyance.
After rounding up all of the others, Twilight and her friends went into the castle. "Thank you for coming girls. You all know why I called you here." said Princess Celestia. "We came as soon as we heard Princess." Princess Celestia closed her eyes as she spoke. "There's a grave danger coming. I am unsure of when, but I know that it will be happening today. I need you to find the problem, and fix it before it happens." Princess Celestia opened her eyes. "You can count on us Princess!" Twilight and her friends ran off.
Meanwhile Queen Chrysalis was already on her way. "They may have defeated me once, but this time, I am going to win!" An entire army of changelings were behind her.
Silver-Bullet started to get a headache. "Silver, hey man you alright?" "No, something's coming. And it is not a good kind of something." Suddenly hundreds of thousands of changelings swarmed in like a pack of locusts.
Silver-Bullet looked around startled. The changelings weren't just here to take over this time, they were here to crush and kill any resistance. "Round up as many troops as you can find, we need every able bodied fighter we can get!" commanded Silver-Bullet. The troops from his squadron all nodded once and ran.
Twilight and her friends were all trying to hide, but everywhere they ran, only more changelings appeared. A group of the changelings surrounded them. "We have you partially surrounded, at least from this side!" said one of the changelings who swung his arm around when he spoke and then swung his arm backwards accidentally hitting one of them in the face.
Silver-Bullet was fighting off as many as he could, but it just seemed every changeling he killed, 3 more showed up. He had no choice but to run.
Queen Chrysalis captured Princess Celestia, and Twilight and her friends in a matter of minutes. "You won't get away with this!" yelled Rainbow Dash. "Oh but you fail to see," Queen Chrysalis said walking to the window. "I already have. Aside from the pathetic resistance of badly trained guards, you have no defense. Shining Armor is already dead."
Twilight started to tear up. "No. NO, YOU LIE! H-HE'S NOT DEAD! HE CAN'T BE!" "Don't believe me? Why don't you ask his corpse then?" Twilight started crying.
Butch was running by Silver's side. "What's the plan?" "I have no idea!" exclaimed Silver-Bullet. "The captain's dead, only a small handful of the men we had on our team is still alive! If we don't start fighting, we'll be the ONLY ones left!" Silver-Bullet ripped out his sword from it's sheath slitting 3 changeling's throats and both Butch and Silver started fighting.
Applejack and Fluttershy were now trying to comfort the crying Twilight. "Hmm...it seems the guards are better then we thought...especially that silver haired one in the courtyard. Send out more men!" Even more changelings ran out. It seemed as though it would never end for Silver. He was beaten and cut, had broken ribs, yet through all this pain, he just kept fighting.
Silver-Bullet finally fought off the changelings that were attacking him, but there were still hundreds upon thousands more attacking the few guards that were still alive. This was indeed, the end of the line.
The city was now filled with debris, mostly caused by explosions. Silver-Bullet was being overpowered. His friend Butch, now lay dead, impaled with a railroad spike. He had little options but to run again.
Queen Chrysalis laughed. "Finally the moment has arrived. TODAY, I WIN!"
Silver-Bullet was now hiding, hiding but he just watched. One of the guards was about to be engulfed in an explosion, but before he was torched, he threw his sword for one final kill. The flames were quickly moving after incinerating the first guard. Another guard was in the middle of knocking a changeling off the bridge when he was engulfed. The final guard that was burned by it, noticed it and started to run, but it was too late. The explosion died out a few seconds later, leaving piles of ashes and charred corpses of both changelings and royal guards. David was running away from a huge swarm of changelings, while Flash Sentry was reaching out to grab him. Suddenly a changeling stole David's sword out of his sheath, and stabbed him in the back killing him. "NOOOOO!!!" screamed Flash before a changeling who was running by stabbed him and left his sword in Flash's stomach. Silver-Bullet continued to stare as the changelings wiped out an trace of life in the guards they saw. To make sure they wouldn't make any further progress, two brave guards set up explosives on a door frame. A single tear fell from one of their eyes, and he the dynamite explodes. The explosion causes the debris to fall and completely block off the doorway. Silver-Bullet was completely speechless. All of his friends he made, all of his companions, even his childhood friend Butch was slain by them. As Silver-Bullet picks up his beloved Natascha, the changelings start swarming and climbing the tower he was standing on. He fought as long as he could. Most people would know him as the man who wouldn't give up. We know him as the man who couldn't.
