//-------------------------------------------------------// Tales of a WarPony -by Flarex315- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 2 Day 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 2 Day 2 This is the last day before we leave. I don’t have a family to say good bye to, and most of my friends already know I’m leaving. I packed my things and all that’s left to do is to wait. //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 4 Day 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 4 Day 5 It’s been a day since my last entry but we’re still on the Train. I spent yesterday getting to know everypony. Midnight is the most “unique” out of all of us. He is a dragon pony, half-pony     half-dragon. I don’t know why I keep explain, well, explanatory things. Midnight has a dragon looking horn with dragon wings and a claw on where his front right hoof should be. He looks aggressive and ferocious, but really, he’s quite calm and docile. Not to treat him as a creature but a sentient being. His cutie-mark is red phoenix, and yet his special talent is the wind and its breezes. Aura Borealis is a Pegasus but she was originally an alicorn. She also wears a necklace that “keeps her pony form, instead of a god”. Personally, I don’t believe her. Pretty much the entire time we were talking, I looked at her hair. It looks like someone splattered a vertical rainbow on the wind. Her hair also, sorta changes with her mood. I showed her my armor and her hair turned green. I made a joke about her being “green with envy.” She didn’t like it. It took a while, but in the end, I had a new friend and a bruise on my arm. I looked around and saw that nopony else had armor. I told them I was making their armor, but they didn’t look too excited. I kinda met the last two ponies at the same time. They were still talking while I joined in. Their names were Dusk Cloud and Anaphora. Dusk Cloud is about as big as me but I’m the tallest in my tomb. Her mane is curly at the ends and a grey blue. Already thinking about armors, I saw her in a cloak with a quiver on one side and a bow on the other. Her cutie mark is a pulled back bow with an arrow, simple enough. Anaphora is a yellow coated mare with brown hair and freckles. I had a vague idea of what armor since she was a scout. The cutie mark she has is a pencil. I’m guessing her talent is sketching. After I got to meet everypony, I went to go find the smithing car of the train. //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 5 Day 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 5 Day 6 When I saw the smithing car, I geeked. I was thinking on the lines of Oh my Luna, Holy-. There was everything I could ever ask for in one car. Full metal sheets of stainless steel and gold leaned up against the walls. A furnace built into the side of the wall lit up the room with an orange glow. There was a large black chest with a label that read “Leather and Kevlar.” A wall stand with pegs holding all the tools I could ever imagine was displayed to the right of the furnace. A lone manikin stood in the far left corner. It had detachable wings and horn. The windows were high up so there was only a small stream of light flowing in. I just realized that I need their measurement and their weapons to make their armor, so I trotted back into the passenger car. When I got a bunch of weird looks I noticed that I was smiling like an idiot. “Oh, I just need your measurements and weapons” I said nervously. They still looked at me weird. I sighed and trotted over to Midnight. “Can you stand up straight?” I asked him. He stood up straight. “Thank you” I told him. “Hey uh, Middy” “Yes?” He said to me “You want me to change anything on your cloak?” “No. I like it the way it is.” “So ah- Why am I measuring you then.” I asked him feeling quite awkward. “I don’t know,” He responded obviously I stood up feeling awkward. Then I walked over to Anaphora and Dusk Cloud. They were still talking. They must’ve really hit it off. Not in a mare-friend, mare-friend way. I went closer to Anaphora. I was too busy to listen to their conversation, but it was something about barrowing something. “I see you have your own goggles.” I said “Yeah, had’em for a while now.” She said in an accent I couldn’t quite identify. “Any ideas for your armor?” “Preferably light, obviously, but other than that, no” I nodded but she still looked nervous. “I’m not gonna say your height and weight aloud, or anything” She calmed down but then looked confused. “Wait how are you gonna get my weight?” “I just said that so you wouldn’t be nervous” She looked even more confused. After I finished writing down my measurements, I went to Aurora. Being the tank and all, her whole body had to be protected. I started to take measurements. “Just gonna be creepy and measure me without saying anything?” “Uhhh… It’s for your armor? I’m not a creep or anything?” I said questioningly. “Oh sure you aren’t.” I snickered “Just Shut up.”  She laughed at me. I tried to measure her hindquarters but she hit me in the chin with her wing. “Perv” she said looking disgusted in me. I rubbed my chin and yelled “Ow! It’s for your armor!” “Fine, don’t be weird about it then. If you be weird about it I’ll hit you harder.” I measured her the words Daammmnn Gurl! Whatcha ya gonna do with all dat ass?! Came to mind. Her glaze as pure evil, but it was ruined by her blushing. I snickered again but she hit me in my side with her hoof which only made me laugh even more. “You are a perv” she mumbled t herself quietly. I trotted over to Cloud who was still just talking to Anaphora. I used my horn for the measuring tape, pencil, and my notes. “Hey!” she said a little too friendly. “How was your day?” I’m not used to mares asking me how my day was. Whenever I do talk to mares, I usually ask the all questions. “Oh, ahh… not much you?” I said, completely socially awkwardly. “Going to war and doing missions for the princess,” she said blatantly “Same here,” I said in response still trying to focus on my notes “So when did you start archery?” I asked, pointing my pencil to her cutie-mark “I started archery when I was a Filly. It was the only thing I was good at. When I was the only one in my class to nail all ten arrows on the bull’s-eye, I got this,” She pointed to her cutie-mark. “After that its train, eat, sleep, repeat. The princess chose me to be on one of her elite teams, and now, here I am.” I wrote down my results and walked up to the doors toward the smithing car. “Weapons Ready!” I shouted and stamped my hoof. They all complied by pulling their weapons out and holding them forward. “Sir!” they all shouted in unison. “Thank you,” I said calmly. I levitated all the weapon behind me as I left for the smithing car. Just as I was about to enter, I overheard two ponies. I peered through the window of the door and saw the two ponies with golden armor and suns plastered to the chest pieces. “Take all that you can,” I heard the older one say. He had a buzz cut mane and beard. A younger scruffy looking assistant complied. “Sir yes sir.” I sat outside the door waiting until they both had their hooves full. I pulled out Aurora’s spear. Just as they were about to leave I launched it straight into the window, nailing the older one in his throat. The other one dropped all the thing he was carrying while I thrust the door open. I screamed at him as hard as I could. Using my horn, I revolved a sheet of metal, which had to be at least 2cm thick and taller than him, right into his side, nailing him against the wall. “For the Lunar Republic!” I shouted as I bucked the sheet of metal with all my might. Once, twice, three times, silence. I turned towards the older one. He was just about to bleed out. “This is my war now,” I said low and threating. His eyes dilated, I knew he was gone now. I looked around, then it hit me. A wave of grief, I had to sit down. “I killed somepony,” I thought to myself. Everypony came running in. “Are you ok?!” they asked me. “I killed somepony,” I said aloud, not turning towards them. “But we heard the screams and the-“ Anaphora stopped. “Not just one pony, but two…” A knot began to form in my throat. I stood up and sucked it up “Let’s get these bodies-“ I managed to choke out. “Let’s get these bodies off of here” The conductor wouldn’t let us stop the train, even after we told him what had happened. So we went to the caboose of the train and dumped the bodies off to the side of the tracks. I wanted to bury them. They were our enemy, but I still had respect for them. Everypony left to the passenger car. I stayed in the smithing car to make their armors. There were no more attacks that day, and I spent the rest of it making everypony’s armors. //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 1 Day 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 1 Day 1 I decided to start a journal to keep my thoughts and sanity. I've been with the Princess, Luna, since I can remember, though I am not her kin. I joined her to start a new republic, The New Lunar Republic. I have grown and so has the Republic. Though the Princess has shown no sign of age, her magic has matured. I have learned under her teachings and improved my own magic. She has had a thousand years to practice her magic but I have not had as much time; obviously. Unlike want people believe, magic can be overpowered. Just brute force in magic is futile, I rely mainly on technique but without force it's useless to try. The princess’s Magic is the perfect equilibrium of technique and force. Her grace is unmatched and strength beyond comparison. My words alone could not express her power... I have been hoof picked by princes Luna to fight in the ongoing war. The location is being kept secret but we will be traveling by armored train. Our troop has 3 days before we leave. Tonight is the first. //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 3 Day 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Entry 3 Day 3 Today we boarded the train and I put my stuff by the seat I claimed. It was a train with thick windows and shutters on the outside that had to be closed by magic or by the conductor in the engine room.  We were told to pack small because we were going to be moving a lot. I packed some magic books I still needed to study, my amulet and my journal with some quills and ink. I’ll explain my amulet even though I already know what it is. It’s a small Purple and black crystal with gold knotted wire to hold it up. The black and purple is to represent the night and the gold wire, doesn’t represent anything. I found and polished the crystal and I had the gold wire custom made by Royale. The crystal helps me focus my magic. Wearing it also makes me look cooler. Ahh. What am I thinking, Ponies are laying down their lives while I focus on looking “Cooler”. I shouldn’t be depressed either. I should be strong, I will be strong. At least there are other ponies here in my tomb. (I’m just going to write this to someone else because I already know what happened) If you don’t know what a tomb is I’ll explain. We have A white mage (Myself), a Heavy (Aura Borealis), a scout (Anaphora), a Battle-mage (Midnight), and a Long range (Name) The role of each of us goes accordingly: I am the Healer, as the name implies, I heal and protect people. A heavy soaks up most of the damage and does a great amount of it during firefights. The light infantry is our scout, also he is the anti-mage. The Battle mage is like the regular heavy but he does more damage than he can take. Our long range is the bows man (I’ve picked up some of the skill myself), He keeps us informed while he takes them out from afar. If any of us dies that could spell disaster for all of us. Thus my job is to keep them alive. For as long as possible. No. Not as long as possible. Possible is not an option, I have to keep them alive and protected.
