As I walked into Ponyville, the eyes began to fallow. Ponies awkwardly smiled and wave a hoof as I past them, trying not to show me how weird-ed out they where by my... well presence. It was the same way back home, except the ponies there weren't afraid to show it, I guess that's a plus. As I walked towards the town center, a bright pink mare with the puffiest of manes walk past me. She took a short glance at me and gasped, and as she fled, the smell of cupcakes hinted behind her. At least the other ponies in this town had the decency to act like I belonged and hide their distaste in me. Only a few minutes later did she come back with five other ponies tailing her. The bright pink one led the herd so my first thought was, "Oh no, she brought her friends to beat me up!" As they came up to me I dropped to the ground.
"Please don't hurt me!" I said, "I don't have any bits and I just moved here!""Oh no no no, darling," A snow-white mare cooed, " Sweet Pinkie Pie here simply told I she saw a new pony in town. We decided we would come and greet you ourselves."
I slowly started to get back up.
"Really?" I asked, as I slowly started to get up, " I never met somepony who didn't hat me and want to steal my bits, or lack there of."
I stood up completely and the snow-white mare let out quite the princess scream.
"Sorry to startle you, darling, but what in Celestia are you wearing?"
I looked down at the brown cloth that cover me, it was poorly sewed together.
I blushed and said," My family was poor, this is my 'Sunday best." "Rarity," a purple mare interjected, "We'll worry about his choice in fashion later," Rarity twitched as if the thought of me showing my clothes in public frighted her, "First lets introduce our selves, I'm Twilight Sparkle, this is Apple Dash, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, you met Rarity, and this is Flutter Shy."
My heart stopped when I saw Flutter Shy. She was a sun yellow mare with a gentle pink mane, not at all like Pinkie's, and her eyes, they reminded me so much of the trees in the Everfree forest. I would know because I spent so much time in there.
"What's your name!?" Pinkie Pie asked.
I had to snap myself out of the trance Flutter Shy put me in.
"My name is Ying or Yang," I replied."Well which is it?" Rainbow complained."Rainbow," Twilight snapped, "Don't be so insensitive!""It's OK Twilight, I'm used to it. It's both, Rainbow, it because of this 'trick' i can do."
Pinkie Pie's eyes lit up.
"Trick?! Oh I love love LOVE tricks! Show me show me show me show me!"
I sighed in frustration.
"When we get to the library, I'll show you, if I can."*^*^*
At the library, Twilight had brought out drinks and beautiful majestic Flutter Shy had brought... I didn't know what it was.
"What is this little thing?" I asked.Flutter Shy's face got red with anger, "This 'thing' is called a bunny and they are the cutest, most softest thing in the world!" Flutter Shy yell whispered.
I stood back flustered, by they way she reacted defensively about them, I knew I had it a wrong note with her.
"Um... so Ying," Twilight broke in, "Where are you from?"
I closed my eyes and bowed my head. Thinking of it still brought up nightmares for me.
"You wouldn't know about it," I spoke slowly, " It was called the Everfree Village, home of the strange ponies, ponies who believed in witchery instead of what could happen. Unfortunately, I was the strangest of all, and shortly after word got out of my special talent, ponies in red hoods came and destroyed my home and town. I am the last surviver, and all because this curse that's supposed to be a talent. I still remember their leader chanting, 'Burn the Demon village! Leave nopony alive!"
After my story was told there was a long awkward silence as everpony starred at me, mouths gaping.
Rainbow Dash flew over their heads.
"Booooooring!" She cried, "Lets see this trick of yours. I doubt it will be cooler than a Sonic Rainboom... though it probably will be about 20% cooler then Pinkie's Party Cannon."
Pinkie Pie looked hurt by her comment, but bounded back quickly after she realized she was about to something cooler then a party. I closed mye eyes and concentrated hard, suddenly heard two voices, voices I hadn't heard since my village was destroyed.

Our Character's Past and Begining
A little village named The Everfree Village, just outside of Ponyville, was about to not only receive their ultimate blessing, but also their greatest curse. One day a strange pony was born. Of course his parents loved him, but the nurses awkwardly back away. This young colt was a odd one indeed, for the right half of his body was black as the darkest cave, but the left side was white as winter's first snow with a mane and tail the opposite colors. "A pair of opposites!" the nurses said. Ponies in Everfree Village where especially superstitious, so naturally this "unique" pony was alienated by the other fillies. Growing up for the young colt was especially difficult when his curse brewed up, the curse of two forms. When he was teased by the other ponies and felt resentful, he would become completely black, with completely white eyes. In this form, he would "fight back" and do evil deeds. However, when he felt excepted and apart of something, he would become completely white, with eyes as dark as night, and preform the nicest of acts. It was after this curse first came into play, that the young colt got his cutie mark, it was a symbol of Ying and Yang, representing his evil and good side, contained in one neutral body.
As he grew older, these forms surface less and less, till they seemed to have vanished all together... until of course he move to Ponyville.
