Divine Intervention
Well hello
Load Full StoryThe newly coronated Princess Twilight Sparkle sat on her bed, in the now-famous Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville. She was going over the days events in her head. She had cast a spell, changed her friends cutie marks, changed them back, and became a Princess, all In the span of a few hours.
'Circumstances can change rather fast, can't they?' Twilight thought as she adjusted her position, giving her newly-formed wings some room to move. 'The Princess had said to expect a summons, but what would she need me for? Princess training, no doubt. I wonder exactly what that entails, though.' She gave herself a wry smile. 'Cadence said it would be interesting. Knowing her, that means it is nowhere near my comfort zone.' The purple mare gave a light huff as she struggled to accommodate her wings. Getting comfortable, she laid her head on her pillow and fell asleep.

Twilight awoke to the smell of maple syrup, and the sound of several voices. The smell she easily passed off as spike making pancakes, but who could he be talking to? Despite her bodies protests, she managed to pull herself out of her bed, struggling somewhat to untangle her feathered appendages. With a great yawn, she stretched, resulting in a wave of cracks rolling down her spine, and two slightly painful but satisfying pops from the shoulder joints of her wings. She examined her wings, which were ruffled from sleeping, and found she could not fold them down.
'Why won't they go down? It probably has something to do with the fact that I got these yesterday, but I'll study about it later.' Twilight thought as she left her room.
As she made her way down the hall, the voices became more distinct. There were three, and all female, from what she could hear. She entered the main room to find it empty.
'They must be in the kitchen with Spike, but who is it? '
She caught a flash of movement from the dinning room entrance and regretted not at least attempting to preen her wings. The movement itself was not the problem, however what was moving was reason for panic. Just visible through the entrance to the kitchen was the ever distinct, iridescent tail of Equestias' Solar Diarch.
