Being caught off guard, he gasped as the pink pony said “Hi, my name is Pinkie Pie. who are you?”
“Oh, my name is Mist Shaker, you can call me Mist though. as I really don’t like my full name being used.” Mist stated solidly “Do most ponies act like this on a new arrival when they are wearing a hooded cloak?”

“Mist Shaker, please call me Mist, I just hate having my full name used.” Mist responded with, again, a solid tone.

With that Pinkie bolted out the door as if she had just remembered something.
“Now that we’re alone, what is it that is troubling you?” Twilight asked with concern still evident.
“I- I was the second in line to rule the land where I come from, but then a war had begun and the current ruler was… well... she’s gone... forever, I don’t know who did it, but the blame was placed on me because none of the ponies of the council liked me, simply because I was like a normal colt, doing everyday activities, enjoying life, but occasionally attending to certain tasks, I never knew about it and then the guards snatched me up, and they- they... cast a universal teleportation spell and sealed off all access to it. erasing the memory of it, erasing it from history.” Mist said sobbing knowing that he would never be able to return.
“WHAT?!” Twilight shouted with unsuppressed surprise and anger, not towards Mist though, once Twilight had calmed down she said in a soft tone “Oh, I’m sorry about that outburst, well, you are welcome to stay here as long as you like.” after realizing that Mist is still upset about what had happened.
With that Mist stood and said in a dull manner “I really appreciate your hospitality, but it’s best that I be alone for now.” exiting the library, running off out of Ponyville.

“My name is Mist Shaker, just call me Mist, I really should go.” he said with a rather confused tone.
“Why are those ponies being so nice to me, it’s like they already know me.” Mist thought to himself, not watching where he was walking, his tracks were cut off as he ran into another pony.
“What the hay!” an orange mare exclaimed “Oh wait, you must be that Mist feller Twilight was tellin’ me all about, mah names Applejack.”
“Yeah, you heard right.” Mist said to Applejack.
“C’mon down to the house n’ have some cider with me, we can talk more there.” Applejack insisted
Once in Applejack’s home, Mist took the cider mug in his hand and took a rather large gulp of it before he asked inquisitively “What would you like to know?”
“Anything that is important to talk about.” Applejack implied
“Well, I was a Prince, for three years, I was about to become the next ruler of the land there it was kind of like this one. but then came the bloodiest war I had ever heard of, I never knew of the fall of the princess there, then I was exiled to this place, that's all I remember.” Mist said handling the event better than he was yesterday.
Little did they know that a white mare was outside waiting to be invited in, until they heard her knock a second time “Uh, lemme get that right quick.” Applejack said, flustered at the fact that she forgot that her friend was coming over.

Mist just face palmed and said “I’m just going to go and take it easy for the rest of the day and look for a place to stay.” upon this he was out the door and in the clouds relaxing just taking it easy.
Finally able to be alone, he noticed that it was getting dark as he lied down, just thinking “what a day this has been, I just met six beautiful mares in two days and they are already taking a liking to me. I must be very lucky to be who I am, however unfortunate that I was exiled from my original home,” with that thought he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
