The Day I Became Roseluck
Chapter 1
Previous ChapterChapter 1: Breaking The News
So, to recap: I had a freaky dream, woke up in the body of a pony, and found out that said pony's consciousness was inside my mind.I slid off the bed onto my hind hooves, only to fall flat on my face. Need some help there? Roseluck asked.I shook my head as I got to my four hooves. No way was I going to accept help from Roseluck of all people- err, ponies!
Twenty Minutes Later
Finally, I got used to walking on four hooves. I only fell face-first onto the floor about ten times! I trotted over to my door. Luckily, I always leave it open at night. As I looked down the stairs, I sighed. "Stairs. Why did it have to be stairs?" I stepped onto the first step...
...And ended up face first on the floor at the bottom. Boy, was I glad ponies are tougher than humans! Of course, the racket woke up my mother, who flicked the hall light on as I got up.
She froze, eyes wide. Her mouth moved like she was trying to speak, but no words came out. I smiled nervously. "Hi, Mom."
She shook her head. "Chase?" she asked, surprised.
I nodded and grinned. "Yeah, Mom, it's me!" I then stopped as I remembered my mother barely ever watched the news. "Mom, as you can see, I've turned into a pony. Now, I need to show you something."
She nodded, and followed me over to my laptop. As per my instructions, she pulled up a video I saw the day before on Youtube. It showed Lauren Faust and Tara Strong, who had been turned into Celestia and Luna respectively, at a press conference.
After the video, my mother nodded. "So, you've been turned into a pony from My Little Pony?" I nodded. "Alright then, we need to get you to New York."
I gave her a small smile. 'That's my mom, always cool under pressure!' I took a deep breath. "Mom, I promise, I'll get this-" Before I could say anymore, I was suffocated in a bear hug.
"Promise me you'll be okay, Chase!" she said sadly as we embraced.
When we seperated, I smiled at her. "I'll do my best, Mom."
Mom nodded, and stood up. "I'll go get your sister ready for school. I'm guessing you can't go, Mr. Pony Boy?" she asked.
I nodded. As she went upstairs, I turned to my laptop, and grabbed my trusty mechanical pencil to help me type.
I pulled up FiMFiction.net, a site that I wrote stories on. I posted a new blog that said:
Hey guys, Darkfire Shadows here! I've got some news for all of you. I've been ponified. Yes, you heard me, I've been turned into a pony!
'Which pony have you been turned into, Darkfire?' Well, I've been turned into the one and only Roseluck! I'm extending a hoof to all humans-turned-ponies out there. I'll be heading to New York, and I need a companion!
Signing off,
Darkfire Shadows
I logged off and shut the laptop as Mom brought my baby sister Dahlia down the stairs. She was also carrying a bag with my phone, charger, and headphones, along with my laptop charger and case.
"Chase, I grabbed your things. Anything else you want me to get from upstairs while you grab your toothbrush and comb?" she asked.
My sister stared at me wide-eyed. "Pony?" she asked in awe.
I chuckled and grinned. "Hey, stinker. Mom, could you get my hoodie and one of my notebooks?" I asked as I slid my laptop into its bag.
Mom nodded and set down Dahlia. "Watch your sister," she said as she walked back upstairs.
"Miss Pony?" my sister asked, drawing my attention. "Why are you here?" she asked.
I quietly laughed and decided to play along. "Well, stinker, your mommy is helping me get to New York," I told her, smiling sweetly.
Before long, my mom came back with my hoodie and a notebook. I slid my hoodie on then struck a pose. "How do I look?"
Dahlia clapped. "You look great Miss Pony!"she said happily.
I looked at Mom. "So, I wanna travel by road." Before she could argue, I added, "You know I hate flying."
Mom nodded. "I'll give you some money and take you to the bus station."
