Discord is Bored... Again
Luna sighed happily. Nightmare Night decorations were on the walls and floors, celebrating with ghouls and cobwebs on the walls. Luna enjoyed this holiday, even though it was made for Nightmare Moon, her corrupted self. A unicorn guard stepped into the room and bowed. “Princess Luna, the Nightmare Night party is ready and we are waiting for you to begin it.”
“Thank you, Purple Star.” The unicorn nodded and trotted away. Luna sighed again. It was nice and peaceful; she was going to take her time walking to open up the holiday. There was a whoosh, and splash, and a wet mane. Luna’s wet mane. The alicorn turned to where the water balloon had come from. “Discord, this is not the time to throw water balloons, I have a ceremony to run!”
The mare used her magic to dry herself, and then kept walking, ignoring the snickering coming from a corner. She could then hear Discord snap his fingers, and then felt big change in her body. She felt… buffer, I guess you could say. “Discord, I…” Her voice was rough, like her father’s, but it didn’t make sense. How could she have a rough voice, unless….
She slowly looked downward. She had a…. uhm… yeah. The door creaked open, showing that Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadence had also become male, and female in Shining Armor’s case. Discord appeared behind the royal couple, and cackled. “Oh, Prince Artemis, Prince Bolero, and Princess Gleaming Shield, I obey thee with all my heart!”
“DISCORD!!!!” all three royalties yelled at him, chasing him down the hall and into…. the place where Artemis was going to make his speech. Discord flashed away as they ran unto the stage. Artemis gulped.
This is not good… this is not good at all, the prince of the night thought. The crowd began to cheer as they saw their ruler entering the chamber. A mic with a minty green aura around it hovered in front of the new stallion, the unicorn backstage waiting for him to take it in his own magic. Artemis cleared his throat and took the mic in his magic, the other pony’s aura fading. The crowd fell silent, waiting for their nighttime pony to make his speech.
“I… am…” Artemis gulped, seeing and hearing the crowd gasp at how deep his voice was.
“DISCORD!” The moon pony turned with a jump to see Discord with a mic in his lion paw.
“I am Discord!” the draconequus said again. “And I have turned your rulers, excluding Celestia, into their opposite gender!” Discord waited as the crowd gasped again, some ponies flying, running, or teleporting to the stage in outrage. He began to laugh. “And I will do the same to you!” The ponies who were trying to get to the stage then turned and tried to run after hearing this, wings flapping franticly. Discord snapped his bird hand, and a great cloud of smoke enveloped the room. Ponies screamed and ran around in circles at their new appendages, or lack of.
Celestia walked in to see how the Nightmare Night party was going. “Hello, Luna! How’s it go-“ She stopped. Discord was laughing; ponies were screaming bloody murder; and Shining Armor was a girl. “Mother of me…” Celestia whispered. The king of chaos turned and flew over.
“Isn’t it wonderful, Celestia?” Discord sighed contentedly. The sun princess’s horn began to glow a shade of yellow, slowly slithering toward the draconequus in a hypnotic fashion. Discord stiffened and let the magic flow into his chest. He blinked, snapped his fingers; turning all the ponies back into their correct genders, and blinked again. “What… just happened?” he murmured, having been taken over by Celestia without knowing.
Celestia glared at him and walked to her sister. “Luna, are you alright?” Luna nodded and pointed her horn to the other royalty behind her.
“Might want to check on them though,” Luna said. She was worried about the couple, seeing their wife and husband in their own gender. Celestia trotted over and asked if they were ok.
“Yeah, I think so… man it feels good to be female again!” Cadence said, stretching her wings around Shining Armor.
“I agree, it’s good to be back to being a boy!” Shining agreed with his wife.
Celestia then walked back to Discord who was holding his head, trying to clear the fog that had begun to find its way into his head. “Luna, get ready to use the Elements of Harmony on Discord again…” Luna nodded and took her place in front of the chaos king. In a flash of yellow light Celestia was gone.
Twilight read a book, learning a new spell as usual, when there was a pop behind her. She jumped and turned to see the sun princess using her magic to open the case where the Elements of Harmony are kept. “Celestia, what are you doing!?” The words were barely out of her mouth when Celestia took all six, even Twilight’s crown, Elements in her magic and teleported away. “What the buck just happened…”
Celestia flashed back into Canterlot castle, much to the happiness of the ponies inside. She levitated the Element of Magic onto her head, replacing her crown with the tiara. She then put the Element of Honesty on her neck and the Element of Generosity around her horn, hooking the Element in the back so it didn’t slide off. Luna took the other three, and put them on, Element of Loyalty on her horn, Element of Kindness on her neck, and Element of Laughter on her front right leg.
“Oh, this again, Celestia?” Discord scolded. “It’s hard being a statue, y’know. You can’t go to the bathroom without it raining…”
That explains the deluge of rain we got a few days after we defeated Discord… Luna thought silently.
“Don’t worry, Discord, we won’t turn you to stone,” Celestia said ominously, winking at her sister. Luna winked back and the Elements started to glow. Discord put a target on his belly and waited.
The solar and lunar sisters opened their eyes, showing that they were all white. The crowd oooohh’d and aaahhhhh’d as a beam of rainbows shot into the sky and headed for Discord. Discord just closed his eyes and waited for the familiar feeling of being frozen. He felt something change, but he couldn’t place just what. He heard the crowd laughing and felt quills hit his fur.
He opened his eyes and turned toward the laughing ponies. “This is how you treat your chaos king?! I- huh?” Discord had looked down to see that he had hooves. Hooves. He glanced behind himself to see a pair of pegasus wings on his back, the celestial sisters chuckling at his confusion. He looked up and saw a blue horn on his head. “Oh, dear… I’m a pony?!”
“Eeyup,” Big Mac yelled from the stands.
