Some would say it was inevitable that the Royal Family would fall. "The nature of ponies could only take them so far," they proclaim. Others believe it was the work of outsiders that sparked the flame of rebellion.

No matter the cause, the world of Equestria has fallen into turmoil. Celestia and Luna are memories at best, worshiped as gods by some and snorted at in revilement by others. And this time, the Elements of Harmony are nowhere to be found…

However, there is a small spark of hope, for a group of unlikely ponies have found themselves drawn together. And while even they do not know their purpose, they may just be the ones that save the world.
