A secret within the Everfree
Deep down inside the Everfree forest is an open field. No pony ever comes there because it’s too dangerous to go inside the forest at night. But what they don’t know is that there is a hidden house on that field.
Inside that house their lives an Alicorn with the name Skybreaker. He rarely comes outside and if he comes outside, he vanishes into thin air. He uses a spell to keep himself hidden in the shadows. The only way to track him is the shadow that can be seen on the ground. No pony has ever seen him so no pony knows what he looks like.
He is responsible for the weather and everything ells inside the forest. One day he went inside Ponyville to see how everypony was doing, like I was saying before he keeps himself hidden in the shadows while only his shadow can be seen.
Today he went to see how everypony was doing. Unfortunate if he flies around sometimes a pony sees his shadow as she started to scream that there is a ghost in Ponyville. Well today was just like that but it went different than before, when they started to scream, they ran to the library where a pony Twilight Sparkle lives together with her dragon Spike. At that moment things went wrong, for him at least.
“Here we go again…” he said while watching the ponies scream. “wait where are they going… Wait what is she doing here”
“oh no… No…NO! this isn't good if she finds me in done for it” he said while panicking.
Oh I forgot to tell you that Skybreaker is the older brother of Twilight and Shining Armor. Twilights Father had an affair with a princes who was an Alicorn… after he was born he was banned from the family and even the mother didn't want to see him so they left him in the forest. This happened before Shining Armor and Twilight were born.
“If Twilight sees me I have to explain everything to her and Shining Armor… I don’t know if they would believe me…”
While he was panicking in the air Twilight arrived at the place where the shadow was flying around.
“is this the shadow you were talking about?” Twilight asked. “well here goes nothing…” she said while she castes her spell.
Without that Skybreaker even noticed his spell was fading and everypony looked up and saw a Beautiful While Stallion Alicorn Flying in the air panicking
“Eh… Twilight… you want to see this” said Rarity who pulled Twilight to this place.
“I’m trying to cast a spell here… so don’t interrupt me.” Twilight replied.
“well if you think that you spell is better that that Hot Stallion…” said Rarity while drooling on the ground.
“Wait what…” Twilight looked up and saw the Stallion panicking. “Eh… Mister, you have a second?”
He heard Twilight and flew to a window and he saw his own reflection. “Oh this isn’t good, Totally not good” he said while his horn started to glow…
“Wait…where are you…” he vanished into thin air before she could finish her Question. “where did he go?!”
“Look!” yelled Rarity “his shadow is still here so that means he is still there but invisible”
He heard the pony and flew off back to his house inside the Everfree forest. As he entered the forest the two ponies followed him till his shadow disappeared at the open spot.
“It’s gone… there are two options here 1: he teleported somewhere else or 2: he lives here and his house is hidden somewhere on this open spot.” Said Twilight
“wait I have an Idea I will cast my Area spell and if it hits a house or something I will know it… stand back I don’t know how this may end.” She said while conjuring a ring of magic that would show anything that was hidden by a spell or potion.
And Twilight was right about the spell. After she was done a house showed up in the middle of the field. They walked to it and knocked on the door in the hope the Stallion would open it.
*knock* *knock* “we know you’re in there open up before I open it for you…”
“Wait… wait… how did you even find me” he asked.
“It was pretty easy, while you were invisible your shadow remained on the ground so we followed you to this field where I exposed your house with a spell.” Twilight replied.
“I guess I can’t hide anymore…*sigh* ” he said while opening the door.
When the door opened Skybreaker stood there face to face with the Two ponies who were a little surprised by the looks of the stallion. Now they could clearly see that he had Bright white fur with a Light blue mane and tail with White stripes. With a Broken cloud as cutiemark.
“well are you going to come in or what…” he said.
The ponies entered his house and looked around. They found amazing stuff inside his house. It was still a bit of a mess inside but they didn’t care about that so much.
“well have a seat… “ he said “you want something to drink?”
“no thank you darling” Rarity replied.
“Ok… you want something” he asked Twilight.
“no thank you I’m fine” she replied
As they waited for him to return Twilight spotted a photo of a mare and a Stallion with Skybreaker in their hooves. As he returned to the room he saw Twilight looking at the Photo with a confused look.
“Eh… mister?” she said.
“the name is Skybreaker and you don’t have to introduce yourselves miss Twilight Sparkle and Miss Rarity” he replied.
“how do you know our names…” Rarity asked confused.
“well to be honest I know everything about you Two and your friend Aka The Spirits of Harmony” he replied
“you Twilight represent the element of Magic and you Rarity you represent the element of generosity.”
“Ok… besides that… why is my father on this picture?” she asked confused. “Who are you… are you a stalker or something?”
“Yes Twilight that is indeed you father… You don’t know this but you have two brothers, Shining Armor and… Me.” He said while facing the ground. “but we aren’t from the same mother… you see that mare on the photo? That’s my mother a princes from a faraway land. After I was born your father was scared you're mother would find out about his affair with her so they dumped me here in the Everfree forest. After I learned magic and after I learned how to fly I made a spell that could make me invisible as long as I wanted…”
“I saw how Shining Armor was born and how you were born… but I knew you would never meet me. When I heard you were leaving Canterlot to live in Ponyville I was really happy but still I could not face you. So I kept on Watching you in secret…”
“Have you ever heard about the Ghost of Ponyville…? Well that is my shadow the ponies see but I leave most of the time before it gets out of hooves. But you also know the story about the forest that the clouds move on their own? That’s my job. I keep the sky moving and I keep everypony save from any danger.”
“now you know my secret… I hope we could get along…” he lift his head up to face Twilight but instead he got slapped by Twilight in the face.
“How could you tell such a Lie! My Father would never do that! If you know me that well… THEN STAY OUT OF MY LIFE!” she yelled while she slapped him again.
“I knew this was a bad idea…” he said to himself
“I wish you were kept hidden FOREVER!” she yelled for the last time before she slammed with the door after leaving the house.
“Are you happy Now… you should be proud of yourself…” Rarity said.
“I knew she wouldn’t believe me… I better Disappear again, I’m sorry I dragged you into this. Good bye” He said while teleporting Rarity outside while she watched him crying and how the house disappeared into the shadows.
As she was standing there she saw a shadow leaving the field into the woods and it started to rain. You could feel his sorrow with every raindrop that fell on the ground.
As for Rarity she went home to get back to work again. As she arrived at her shop there were lights burning inside. She went inside to see who was inside her shop. She found Twilight crying on the floor with spike and Sweetybell next to her.
“why are you here darling… I thought you went home.” Rarity asked.
“I was home but I teleported to Canterlot to speak with my father about this.” She replied
“and what did your father say?”
“he told me that I should go home and that he would take care of this… but when I came home it suddenly was raining while there was no storm planned for the next few weeks.”
While Twilight was telling her Story a loud thunderclap could be heard in all Ponyville. Most of the ponies went outside to see if Anypony was hurt but when they looked up in the sky they could see 4 Canterlot guards and Skybreaker fighting. Every time Skybreaker was hit you could hear a thunderclap, but behind the 4 guards there was a cart pulled by 2 Pegasus ponies.
While the fight raged on in the air Rainbow dash rushed to Rarity’s place .
“Quick Twilight you have to stop your father before it is too late!”
“wait… is my father in Ponyville? What is he doing here…” Twilight replied while she wiped her face with her foreleg.
The 3 ponies rushed outside as Twilight saw Skybreaker fighting the guards… When she heard her father saying:
“I must have killed you when you were just little Skybreaker I knew you would expose yourself to Twilight but she didn’t believe you didn’t she? Now you are trying to fight the guards I hired to kill you… what a joke. Now Disappear forever!”
As the 4 guards Charged to Skybreaker a loud and final Thunderclap was heard after the Alicorn fell to earth with a body filled with cuts and stab wounds.
Twilight and the others rushed to him. When Twilight arrived at the place where he fell a few words left his mouth:
“Twilight I will disappear like you wished *pant* I… I wish we could spent some… time together… but you have shining Armor…” after those words Skybreaker had drawn his last breath and the sky cleared after a few minutes.
“Oh no… Twili…” said Shining Armor while he arrived with cadence at his side.
“Twilight listen closely” said cadence. “the story he told was true because it was my mother… your father had an affair with my mother but he forced my mother to dump him inside the forest in the hope he would be killed by the creatures inside the forest. He was also My brother…” she said while she lied next to Twilight crying.
After the father and his guards left Shining Armor walked to him and whispered: “he is gone… “
“What are you doing Shining Armor! He is dead… now you are telling him that my father is…” Twilight was interrupted by Skybreakers large gasp for air.
*Gasp* “darn, I thought he was never going to leave… Thank you for your help brother.” He said while looking at Twilight and Cadence faces who were filled with tears.
“what but how… you were stabbed and… the thunder”
“that was pretty easy… those guards were under Shinings command and he already knew about me because I told him after I showed him the photo… and the thunder was my own because I can control the weather without any Pegasi interfering me, and the death scene was a little spell that places you in a feint death.” He said when suddenly Twilight and Cadence started to hug him.
“I believe you sky… After my father said that there is no other way then to believe you… I’m sorry, can you ever forgive me?” Twilight said.
“I already have Twilight… I had to frame your father to let him tell it.
“I can’t believe I actually have a brother… that’s what I always wanted!” Cadence said while she hugged him but her horn touched his horn and The air filled with flashes of light and to some ponies further away it looked like fireworks. Nothing could ruin this moment.
Months after the events that involved Twilight and her family everything seems to have calmed down. Sky still lives in the Everfree but is visited nearly every day by Twilight and her friends, sometimes even Shining and Cadence come to the Everfree to visit him. Since the events a month ago he considers himself the luckiest stallion alive, for he finally was with his family and friends.
