On his left side appeared a pony, unwept one. “It is not so simple without magic huh?” asked Romeo with crazy laugh and right after that dissapeared. “What? What is this place?” Loki started to be really disturbt. He continued walking, until somepony else appeared next to him. “Lies will not help you here.” Spoke Nightmare Moon and also vanished instantly. Now Loki actually hurried to the light. Next one, who came to mock him was Chrysalis: “Try use Hatred, maybe she will help you.” Before he could answer her, she vanished like everypony else. Then grey former unicorn heard the voices. Without turning around he ran to the light. Loki really didn´t want to know, who, or what was following him. After several seconds, that seemed like eternity, the light turned into a giant temple with opened doors, waiting for pony to run inside. Right after he did, the gate closed. “Pfew, that was close. Now what the buck is this?” said, looking at large golden chest decorated with mirrors. Scary thing on this chest was, that no reflection in mirrors looked like Loki standing in from of them. He saw himself, like a baby, colt with black mane, with black and green mane, under possesion of Hatred and etc. Loki reached his hoof to touch it… XXXXXXXX …and realized that he is lying in bed with Applejack. After Canterlot wedding he spended much more time with his beloved one, and often they even spended night together. “It was just a dream?” whispered and sit so he could organize his thoughts. Sound next to him, annouced, that AJ is awake too. “What happened?” she asked with sleepy voice. She is so cute with mussed mane. “Just a bad dream.” Answered and lyed next to his girlfriend. “Twilight asked us to visit her this morning, but judging by the sun, we still have some time.” “So what about some fun, before we go?” She smiled at him and hid under the blanked and Loki soon felt her on his legs. XXXXXXXXX Soon all seven ponies and Spike were on a train to Crystal Empire. XXXXXXXXX “So, this is how this city looks like? Too bad I couldn´t help you against Sombra.” Said Loki to girls, when they arrived. Back then, grey pony was still very exhousted from fight with Chrysalis, also his ribs were broken, so he had to be in bed for about two months. Not that he complained too much. Not with company,like he had. “Yes, it is georgeous, isn´t it?” answered him Rarity. Loki just nodded and all of them continued to Candance´s throne chamber and then went to their rooms, to get some sleep. Grey pony hoped, that he will not have nightmares again. A while he just sitted on bed and pensively holded Element of Chaos in hooves, without any reason. “Something is bothering you, what is it?” asked Applejack worried. “It´s just…when I had that nightmare last night, I saw my former enemies, some of them dead already, but that´s not important. They said, that I am nothing without magic, and I am worried that they are right. I always used words AND magic to do something. With Greenleaf, Discord, Chrysalis – everytime. And now I have just this thing, and I am not sure, if I won´t be burden next time.” Applejack hugged him around neck. “You don´t have to be unicorn to be useful, you can speak like nopony else and as you alone said to Greenleaf – If pony cares about his friends, he can help them any time! Excusing yourself that you are differend kind of pony is simply laziness! -. Do you remember?“ „You are right! I have to stop whining about magic. Now I can be with you and if something happens, I´ll find a way to help you.“ „That´s our Loki.“ They both kissed each other and went to bed. No nightmares, but both ponies weke woken up by Twilight, when somepony steal her crown. „Damn.“ Said Loki, grabbed his Element of Chaos, along with AJ rushed out of the room and followed the robber. I have to stop him! His necklace shined and from floor, under unknown pony´s hooves grew very sharp green crystals. Since Loki got that weapon, he favourited making crysatals and gems either like a form of armor, or like a weapon. Unfortunately, running pony menaged to teleport to safety. “Loki! Try to make an ilusion to confuse her!” shouted Twilight. “No, it wouldn´t help us!” when he said this his necklase weakly shined. They continued to persuit the robber, until the Element of Harmony and mysterious mare dissapeared in the mirror. “This thing…how did this get here?” whispered Loki to himself, while staring at mirror in front of him. He realized very well, what´s on it´s other end. It looked just like that one in Everdark Forest. His friends went to inform Princess Celestia, but he stayed in the room. From nearby shelf took piece of paper, feather and ink. When he finished his note, he entered the portal. “Sorry girls, but this is not world for you and it will be better, if I do this as quickly as possible.” Whispered silently and left the Equestria. XXXXXXXX First thing he did, when he appeared in the other world, was that he falled on his face, due to not being used to walking on two legs. “It was long time.” Loki looked around and saw building that looked like school from Changliville. It wouldn´t make any sense to go there now, I have to find Loki and Zecora first! But this place is strange, I don´t remember visiting it last time. “Excuse me sir?” spoked to random man walking on street. “There should be witch doctor somewhere in this city, do you know here she has her shop?” “Oh, you must mean Ms Zecora, just go through this street, then turn left and go straight and you should see it on your right side.” “Thank you sir.” Loki followed instructions and soon found his destination. He knocked at the door and Zecora – that had in this world dark brown skin and coat made of zebra´s fur – opened. “Hi Loki, it was quite a while since you visited me, come inside.” He entered and closed the door behind him. “There is something I must tell you. I am not local Loki, but Loki from another world. Pony world.” “Yes, I noticed.” “How?” “Your movement is still really clumsy and when you closed the door, you did it with fist, because you are used to hooves. Also our Loki has black hair.” “That´s interesting.” Boy explained her, what happened and why he came there. “But I am not sure, what does she want to do with Element of Harmony.” “I am not surprised, that you don´t know that. I also visited your world several times and looked in some libraries. The fact is, that Elelement of Harmony becomes source of dark energy here.” “Dark energy you say? Well, I guess that´s worth of look. Just one more thing: where do I find Loki?” “He is not here, he traveled with his friend Twilight Sparkle to the Europe to study North mythology.” “That´s unfortunate. Can you at least tell me, where he lives?” Zecora informed him and gave him her key from Loki´s house. “But you maybe should look in the mirror first.” He nodded and went with his mother to another room with tall, nicely decorated mirror. “Wow!” His human version had long green and black hair, grey skin and same green eyes. As a clothing he weared black hoodie, with green edges, same colored shirt with his cutiemark in the middle and wide black pants with green snake encircling his left leg. “Almost as perfect as my real form.” He just wished to have horn, instead of that necklace. Lesson and new ally“It looks similar to library in Ponyville.” Said Loki when he entered Loki´s and Twilight´s home. It was nice house, with two floors, loads of books everywhere and seperated room, with alchemy equipment. First he looked to all rooms and in one, that looked like Twilight´s, found her diary. Even though it was against his principles, he read newest stuff, so he knew more about situation in human world. “Dear diary, today there was photographer in our school. Girls said that they will definitely make one. Too bad I couldn´t come to school today. Damn flu.” Said one of the newest notes. Loki continued reading. “Dear diary, today we will fly to the Europe with Loki. I am so excited to learn more about North mythology. I hope nothing will happen, while we´re gone. Applejack looked kinda sad today, maybe I should go ask her what´s wrong. But I guess that it´s just that Loki is going away.” “Looks like there isn´t anything useful.” Whispered and closed the little book. “I should go to school. Maybe there will be some informations about that robber.” Before he left, Loki also took Twilight´s phone, that was lying next to diary and before getting into school, he tryied to find out, how does it work. Inside he realized that this school is filled with human versions of Ponyville citizens. Carefuly dodged all students, until he bumped into somebody. “I am sorry, I---Twilight?!” all his plans crumbled when he saw Twilight in front of him. Even though she was human too, he recognized her hair. “Loki?” “Yes, it´s me. Come on, we have to talk.” Grabbed her hand and drag her somewhere peaceful. “What are you doing here? Didn´t I said in my letter, that this is not world for ponies?” asked flustrated. “Yes, you did, but we couldn´t let you go alone, besides it´s my crown and my responsibility.” “Whatever, you´ll see it yourself. Did Celestia tell you something about that pony?” “Yes, her name is Sunset Shimmer, she has gold and red mane and is her former student.” “Is that so? Well since you are here, we should go find our friends.” “Yes, we should.” “From what I know, they all should be friends here too, so it should be comparatively easy.” Two friends asked few people and soon found Pinkie Pie, unfortunately she seemed to dislike her friends. Without knowing why, Loki with Twilight searched for others, but everybody looked angry on each other. “What will we do?” asked Twilight. “You are talented in making friends, so try figure out, what happened, I will find Sunset Shimmer and take back your Element.” “She doesn´t have it. Fluttershy gave it to principal Celestia, so I want to win my crown back.” “Well, I can´t really help with that, so after school, I´ll show you where you can sleep and if something will go wrong, I´ll solve this myself.” Since then, Loki just watched Twilight´s actions from distance. He saw, everything that Sunset Shimmer did to her and wondered what to do. Next day Twilight became princess of that school, Loki gladly saw that all girls are friends again, he didn´t talk to others at all, they propably didn´t even know, that he was there. Just thinking about talking with Applejack like this – like somebody who she loves, but also like somebody who is from another world, was uncomfortable. As he expected, Sunset took a hostage - Spike. Loki was standing in shadows of gym room, when all girls rushed to save him. I have to protect them. Their way blocked wall made of crystals and completely blocked their path, they couldn´t go back either. “Sorry it has to be this way, but she is too dagerous.” “Loki, is that you? What happened with your hair, why aren´t you in Europe and what are these crystals?” Applejack asked. “I am and I am not Loki at the same time. Sunset Shimmer is dangerous with Element of Harmony, so you´ll just stay here and let me take care of things.” He turned around and started walking away through the crystals, like it was nothing. Element of Chaos slighly shined. “This is not your way of doing things Loki. You never go straight, what about your love for deception?” He stopped. “Deception became useless, in that very second you started to be in danger.” So he walked away and saw Sunset Shimmer waiting near the portal with sledge hammer. “This nonsence has to stop. Give me the Element of Harmony and I will not kill you.” While he was talking his eyes glowed with rainbow color, same as the Element of Chaos. “Oh, so you are that redneck´s boyfriend aren´t you? Is Twilight Sparkle too scared? Too bad for you, because now I possess the greatest power in the world.” She said and put the crown on her head. Right after that she turned into a demon and destroyed part of school. But before she could cause even more damage, a ring of grey crystals created barrier in shape of ball around them and flew to the air. “I will not allow any further destruction here. And seemingly I have to teach you a lesson about not talking bad about Applejack in front of me!” said and fired at her several sharp gems, but they all burned before they get to her. “This will be fun.” XXXXXXXXX “Damn Loki! What is up with him?” said Rainbow Dash and angrily kicked to the wall, but without success. “I really don´t know, lies and ilusions were always his way of doing things. And what did he meant by that - I am and I am not Loki at the same time-?” “He is also from pony world.” Said Twilight. “I don´t know what should be with his hair, but in our world was Loki very powerful unicorn, that means that he could do magic. But he became earth pony when he tryied to protect us with his own body. I think that he is still angry about it. It´s bad from me to say that, but I think that he is addicted to it. Only thing that´s protecting him from going insane by fear is love of his Applejack.” “Addicted? What do you mean by that?” “In our world he always used both magic and deception. I worry that he doesn´t know how to use one thing without another.” “But what about these crystals?” “It´s just power of weapon that he created. It´s not truly his.” She would continue, but Pinkie interrupted her. “Look! The wall is crumbling!” Really. Beatiful gems were full of cracks and one strong kick from RD shattered them. Six girls ran outside of school to find Loki. Seemingly whatever was happening to him, he still won. First thing they saw oustide was giant ball made of same stuff like their wall, it was also cracked and slowly falling apart. Besides tons of crystals, girls saw body falling straight to ground. Body with black and green hair. “Loki!” screamed Applejack terrified and rushed to the place where trickster fell. “Oh my God…” whispered Twilight, when they catched up. Loki´s clothes were soaked with blood. Applejack pulled up his shirt and started crying. His chest crisscrossed deep wounds. He wasn´t dead, but according to amout of blood what he lost, there was no way he could survive. “Don´t worry, I´ll take care of him. Now go to others help them defeat Sunset.” Whispered a voice to AJ´s ear. “Who…” unknown person just grabbed her arm, picked her up and pushed to others. Applejack for some reason didn´t cry anymore. She recognized that voice. Loki. XXXXXXXXXX “Damn idiot. He let that thing to possess him.” Whispered black haired Loki to Twilight standing next to him. “Can you save him?” “I hope.” He took from his other self necklace. Even thought it´s owner was dying, that thing still shined with rainbow. Ugly rainbow, not beatiful like that natural. “He wouldn´t use this, if that couldn´t save him.” Whispered and stared at the necklace, when suddenly a grey hand grasped his. “Power…of word. That´s the key!” said hurt Loki quietly. After that he coughed some blood and lost consciousness, maybe forever. “Power of word? You should follow it and this wouldn´t happen!” “What is he talking about?” asked Twilight, who was trying to stop bleeding. “His filosophy.” Black haired Loki stood up and holded the necklace above Loki´s body. “One word can give you all courage. One word can turn your greatest joy into the worst nightmare.” Immediately after he said that the gem cracked and all the power inside was unleashed. Rainbow of chaotic colors a while circled above Loki´s body and then embraced it. But that wasn´t all. Power of chaos didn´t seem to do anything, but Loki´s body did. Green lanes in his hair started to shine like sun itself. So much, that two people near had to cover their eyes. Green energy poured from depths of trickster´s body and navigated the chaos to come inside. Like guide. Then therw was silence. From dying lights came out a person with blood-soaked clothes and black and green hair. “So you have come.” Said Loki from pony world to his other self, like nothing happened. “How couldn´t I? But I have to say, that I am very dissapointed with you.” Healed Loki didn´t say anything. “You let that thing to possess you, and most important, you disgraced the word –deception- itself!” “Just shut up, you have no idea, how it is in our world without magic!” “Yes. I don´t know, but I know for sure that it´s not a reason to become so pathetic!” “What did you say?” “You heard me! You are Loki! If you lost your magic then find something else. Using words. Words are the strongest thing in the world, they can destroy, or create anything. By giving up, before trying you just become coward.” “Just shut up.” He smiled. “Is being honest like you are right now the way tricksters act?” they both smiled. “Thank you. I don´t need this garbage, with my intelignce and my friends, I will find a power much more stronger than this!” finished and stomped on pieces of Element of Chaos. Soon the girls finished fight with Sunset Shimmer, defeated her and Applejack happily hugged both Lokis. “How did you two get here? Shouldn´t you be in Europe?” “This pile of misery send me an SMS, about what was happening here. I couldn´t just leave you alone.” After this all friends went on party, to cheer up, before Loki and Twilight will go back to their world. Later black haired Loki took his other self to a peaceful part of room, so he could speak to him. “About that part, where your toy healed you. It wasn´t just it, there is something else in your body. I can´t say what, but I know two things. If something is magic, then this power is surely something even more. The second thing is…it is active now. That power somehow unlocked itself. So be careful.” A while before midnight all friends gathered in front of the portal. And after farewell, Loki and Twilight returned back home, where they were welcomed by their pony friends. Loki looked at the mirror and saw black haired pony with green eyes came out. The both smiled. “What is so funny?” asked Applejack. Loki looked on the mirror again, but nopony was there. “Nothing, I am just really happy to be back.” Soon they returned to Ponyville and that night Loki had nightmare again. Same one. Blood stained rainbowLoki was deadly tired. It was day after they returned from human world and because of that last nightmare, he slept only for about hour. „I have to somehow put end to this.“ Whispered and continued his walk. He didn´t know where is he going, all he wanted was time to think, which wasn´t the easiest thing to do. After a while he lied down under a tree and watched clouds. „Loki! Here you are, could you please help me?“ said Twilight suddenly standing next to him. „Of course. What do you need?“ Both ponies went to library and purple unicorn started explaining: „Do you remember that spell, what I casted on Rarity to give her a wings? I want to do little experiment and see, if I can summon realistic pair of wings this time.“ Grey earth pony smiled. „I can´t be unicorn and now I can´t be earth pony either.“ She smiled and when they arrived to library, Twilight casted her spell. „Wow, they really looks realistic!“ said Loki, when he was lookign in the mirror on his new pair of grey wings. „That´s really good. But they it´s just a test and so they have to go.“ Her horn shined and so Loki´s wings. But they didn´t dissapear. Grey pony just sighed. „What´s happenening? Why dodn´t they go away?“ „Maybe some error in your spell?“ „Maybe. I´ll look at it. Don´t you mind having these wings for some time?“ „Well, I don´t have a choice, at least I can fly a bit.“ Outside he went on nearby field and practice. „Oh, that is nice pair of wings Loki. How did you get them?“ spoke Rainbow Dash relaxing on tree brach. „Hi Rainbow. Twilight was experimenting so now I am pegasus for some time.“ „That´s awesome! New flying buddy! Don´t you want visit Cloudsdale and do flying examples? It is good way of learning.“ „I don´t know…“ „Don´t worry, it will be fun.“ XXXXXX Few hours later, Loki was escorted into Weather Factory, after he fail examples. Also I don´t understand, why do they want so much, me visiting the Weather Factory. Right now I am mad at Twilight, Rainbow Dash, wings and all I want is go home and buck apples. Inside he with few other pagasi entered a large hall, with strange mashine in the middle. There also was strange smell in the air. „Loki! I see that you didn´t make it.“ Welcomed him Rainbow Dash´s voice, strangely cold. He had really bad feeling. „Girl, what is happening? Why did I have to come here and what is this machine?“ „I think that it will be better to show it to you. I know that you always loved alchemy.“ Two guards took one of the pegasi who were doing examples with him and draged him towards the machine. Then guards threw him inside. Loki just heard short scream and weird noises, then colors of rainbow leakened and continued their trip to others part of this machine. Now he realized what is that smell. Blood. „Machine on Rainbows. This is how we are creating them. We use all the colors that this failed pegasi has in their bodies and grind them into rainbows. Of course, that is secret, but that doesn´t matter for you. The fact is, this is why I wanted you do those examples, so you came here and…“ she turned at the grey pegasus, but all she saw at the place, where he was standing was dead gurad with broken neck and open doors behind him. „Damn fools! You let him escape! Stay here and protect the machine, I´ll get him.“ Said and rushed to the open door. XXXXXX Damn. Damn. Damn. He didn´t have time to really thing about what happened, but when he realizet what is happening, he broke neck to one of the guards and ran away. He knew that Rainbow will come to get him, but there wasn´t any other option. After a while of flying through hallways, he saw door on his left side, so he opened it and ran inside. As soon as he entered a strong smell of blood hit him in the nose. „What is this place?“ Small room was filled with all kinds of chemicals organized on shelfs. Besides that, there was huge thing what usually farmers used to skin their animals. According to amout of blood, covering the floor, there were live ponies sknined in this room. Loki focused on chemicals. This could be useful. XXXXXXX „I am so bored.“ Said Stormkicker. One of the guards protecting the factory. It was quite a while, since Rainbow Dash went to catch that worthless pegasus. Stormkicker felt kinda bad for leting him slip away. As all male guards, he wished to date with Rainbow. What a nice clolorful body. This led to watching her, instead of their prisoner. Suddenly, the door opened and the the room came Rainbow Dash covered in blood and with her favourite sunglasses on. Also she was draging behind her skinned body. „Damn bastard, he kicked me in the neck.“ She rasped. „Are you alright Ms?“ „Of course! Také this pile of trash and throw it into machine. I decided to keep his skin, that discousting grey wouldn´t be helpful anyway.“ „Roger that.“ Stormkicker did, what she told him to do and then he turned back to her. „I need on fresh air, the fight was quite exhousting. Could you please accompany me?“ „Sure!“ Both pegasi walken through hallways to the exit. „Ms, who was that grey pegasus?“ „One of my best friends.“ „Best friends?“ „True, at least I thought that.“ „What happened? If you don´t mind…“ „I don´t. He betrayed me. It is hard to explain.“ They continued silently, until they standed at the entrance. Stormkicker watched beatiful clouds and waited, if Rainbow will say something. „You asked me, what happened.“ Said unknown voice. He turn around and saw grey pegasus, with grey skin soaked with blood and crazy look in eyes. All what was left from Rainbow Dash lied under him. Just a skin. „She betrayed me, tryied to kill me and killed those innocent ponies. She lost right to live. You will bring this skin to your superiors and tell him this: If this unholy factory continue in killing ponies, I will come back and Rainbow Dash´s pain will be NOTHING comapared to yours.“ XXXXXXXX „You thought that you will run from me?“ Rainbow Dash asked Loki, when she found him. „Why are you doing this?“ She laughed. „You can say, that I am loyal to Cloudsdale, but I think that it´s not what you want to know.“ Loki didn´t answer. „It´s because I hate you! I hate everything on you! I don´t understand how Applejack can love you! Trickster! I was supposed to be her loved one!“ „I see, so you are jaelous at me, for being Aj´s special somepony. That is truly sad.“ „You are mocking me! I know it! But know I will kill you, and Applejack will be mine, as it was supposed to be! Honesty and loyalty belongs together! Ponies like you, should be hated!“ she screamed, jumped and bite him in the leg. And Loki just calmly pulled it from her mouth. From colorful pony was just a live statue, all she could was moving her eyes. „Crippling poison. I found it in labratory. Workers of Weather Factory seemingly uses it to torture other ponies.“ „How…did you do it?“ somehow she was still able to speak. „Oh, I just put it on my body. This kind of poison has to be eaten in order to work.“ Loki pulled from under of his wing small bottle, poured it into Rainbow´s mouth and forced her to swallow it. „Don´t worry, you will die quickly, but not without pain. It is the least you deserve for killing inocent pegasi, and trying to kill me.“ Her body started to shake and fell on the ground. „I…always…hated you! No…loyalty.“ Cruelty in Loki´s sould took the lead and he spoke to her ear. „I thought, that I´ll let you die first, but I changed my mind. Do you know how I plan on escaping? I will take you to laboratory, skin you and then wear your skin as a suit to trick guards. And I will not wait until you completly die. Consider it punishment.“ Thanks to heavy door to laboratory, nopony heard Rainbow Dash´s screams. Only Loki. XXXXXXXX Later. XXXXXXXX „I have to return to Ponyville.“ Said Loki and jumped from cloud. When he was falling towards the ground and other pony appeared in front of him. „You did very well Loki.“ Said strange pony, for some reason Loki couldn´t tell, what race he is, even thought he looked directly at him. „What do you mean?“ „You are asleep. This was just a test.“ „What for?“ „You were able to brutaly kill your best friend.“ Loki shaked his head. „She tryied to kill me and she murdered all those other ponies. There was no other way.“ „You can say it like that, but I know that it hurts. Even she did, what she did, the feelings, between friends, can´t be broken so easily. Now we know that you aren´t perfect „good guy“.“ „You do realize, that once I´ll find you, you will be praying to be at her, place do you?“ „I don´t think so. Same like in his nightmares. In it´s middle was giant chest, created by mirrors. Loki came closer and started studiing it. He noticed that lock is basically just thin magical fiber of grey energy. Somehow it seemed familiar. It was obvious that it´s created by magic, so grey pony looked inside and saw a silver dagger with carved snakes on it. His dagger what he left in the Changliville. This chest is created by fragmet of your soul, what was stolen from you by weapon itself.” Said that pony. “This way you, and only you, can take anything what you´ve ever been. Power like this is extremly dangerous, so by destroying that mirror, it´s now trapped inside me, without any possibility of being used and once I die, it will die with me.” Nopony was able to speak, so green pony started. “I am soul of Shard. I was used many times and never for something good. So I decided, here with my owner Loki, that I shouldn´t exist anymore. When he saw me first time, I controled him to think, that my destruction would cause massive explosion, so that´s how I got inside of his soul. Unfortunately, it wasn´t enough, so I took the power of Chaos to heal him and at the same time, make him know, that I live. Since then you all were controlled by us, it started in that second, when Sunset visited us. Since then, you were just being used. Now I can finally rest, without fear that evil like you would use me.” With these words, green pony dissapreared and so did green lines in Loki s mane. “You bastard!” screamed unknown pony. “This is not the end! I will have my revenge no matter what, I am still linked to the Chest!” Loki was surprised, when suddenly a weakness started to spread through his body and he fell on knees. “Yes! I still can kill you, with this I can make your powers useless!” “Not so fast!” shouted Twilight and with Rarity´s and Loki´s help they broke free from Chrysalis´s spell and attacked the group. “Applejack!” whispered weakening Loki. She looked at him. “Cut that fiber, it´s the only thing what holds the Chest together!” “I´m on it!” she said, bite the string and pulled. It broke. Newborn unicorn screamed like no other pony screamed before. Panicaly holded his head, seemingly in great pain. After a while, the scream stopped and Loki just looked into nowhere. By destroying that fiber, he lost that part. It´s the worst pain in the world. Isn´t there something what we could do?” “Unfortunately no.”answered remaining Loki. Applejack started crying and he hugged her. “It was part of his plan.” “NO! This isn´t enough! I will not stop until he will be alive!” shouted revengeful pony and rushed to the mindless grey unicorn. Along the way he picked up silver dagger, lying on the floor. “I will revenge my sister Julia!” said and stabbed with knife. When he opened eyes, he saw that it wasn´t loki, who he stabbed. From Applejack´s mouth dripped blood on the blade. “I am…coming…to you.” Whispered and fell death on the floor. “Applejack!” screamed her friends and rushed to her body, but were stopped by wall of green magic. Queen Chrysalis slowly walked to insane Loki and death AJ and pushed Julia´s brother away. Then she picked up the dagger. “So, it seems, that at the end you discovered what is love.” Spoke to Loki, the dagger glowed with green and two strings of magic came out of it. One of it connected the weapon with Loki and the other one with Applejack. “You went through lots of trouble because of me. Now, at the end of all of this. I just want to tell you something. Now when you understand the love, all you have to do is decide, if it´s worth of fighting for.” She coughed and ponies noticed that she became smaller and paler. “Is she really doing it?” Asked Loki behind the spell quietly. “I am glad that somepony like you was my servant. Thank you and I am sorry. Loki, my faithful student.” Finished and fell death on the ground next to them. “What happened?” asked Twilight. “That dagger was able to stole pieces of souls either of it´s owner or ponies who were killed by it. Chrysalis sacrificed her soul in order to make bridge for those pieces and bring them back to live.” “And that´s not all. Only returning pieces of souls wouldn´t be enough. My is replaced by piece of Aj´s soul and vica versa. So now, we can´t live one without other. Nothing new I must say.” They all looked next to them and saw exhousted Loki holding even more tired Applejack. “I think that we should go home. Sunset Shimmer escaped and that poor guy had an heart attack. Too bad for him, seemingly he wasn´t able live with himself, after he killed Applejack.” “So everything is good now?” asked Rainbow Dash. “Yes. Trickster´s fearLoki standed in the middle of a forest road, without any clue, how did he get there. “What is this place?” he looked behind him, saw just a darkness, but in front of him shined white light in the distance. On his left side appeared a pony, unwept one. “It is not so simple without magic huh?” asked Romeo with crazy laugh and right after that dissapeared. “What? What is this place?” Loki started to be really disturbt. He continued walking, until somepony else appeared next to him. “Lies will not help you here.” Spoke Nightmare Moon and also vanished instantly. Now Loki actually hurried to the light. Next one, who came to mock him was Chrysalis: “Try use Hatred, maybe she will help you.” Before he could answer her, she vanished like everypony else. Then grey former unicorn heard the voices. Without turning around he ran to the light. Loki really didn´t want to know, who, or what was following him. After several seconds, that seemed like eternity, the light turned into a giant temple with opened doors, waiting for pony to run inside. Right after he did, the gate closed. “Pfew, that was close. Now what the buck is this?” said, looking at large golden chest decorated with mirrors. Scary thing on this chest was, that no reflection in mirrors looked like Loki standing in from of them. He realized very well, what´s on it´s other end. It looked just like that one in Everdark Forest. His friends went to inform Princess Celestia, but he stayed in the room. From nearby shelf took piece of paper, feather and ink. When he finished his note, he entered the portal. “Sorry girls, but this is not world for you and it will be better, if I do this as quickly as possible.” Whispered silently and left the Equestria. XXXXXXXX First thing he did, when he appeared in the other world, was that he falled on his face, due to not being used to walking on two legs. “It was long time.” Loki looked around and saw building that looked like school from Changliville. It wouldn´t make any sense to go there now, I have to find Loki and Zecora first! But this place is strange, I don´t remember visiting it last time. “Excuse me sir?” spoked to random man walking on street. “There should be witch doctor somewhere in this city, do you know here she has her shop?” “Oh, you must mean Ms Zecora, just go through this street, then turn left and go straight and you should see it on your right side.” “Thank you sir.” Loki followed instructions and soon found his destination. He knocked at the door and Zecora – that had in this world dark brown skin and coat made of zebra´s fur – opened. “Hi Loki, it was quite a while since you visited me, come inside.” He entered and closed the door behind him. “There is something I must tell you. I am not local Loki, but Loki from another world. Pony world.” “Yes, I noticed.” “How?” “Your movement is still really clumsy and when you closed the door, you did it with fist, because you are used to hooves. Also our Loki has black hair.” “That´s interesting.” Boy explained her, what happened and why he came there. “But I am not sure, what does she want to do with Element of Harmony.” “I am not surprised, that you don´t know that. I also visited your world several times and looked in some libraries. The fact is, that Elelement of Harmony becomes source of dark energy here.” “Dark energy you say? Well, I guess that´s worth of look. Just one more thing: where do I find Loki?” “He is not here, he traveled with his friend Twilight Sparkle to the Europe to study North mythology.” “That´s unfortunate. Lesson and new ally“It looks similar to library in Ponyville.” Said Loki when he entered Loki´s and Twilight´s home. It was nice house, with two floors, loads of books everywhere and seperated room, with alchemy equipment. First he looked to all rooms and in one, that looked like Twilight´s, found her diary. Even though it was against his principles, he read newest stuff, so he knew more about situation in human world. “Dear diary, today there was photographer in our school. Girls said that they will definitely make one. Too bad I couldn´t come to school today. Damn flu.” Said one of the newest notes. Loki continued reading. “Dear diary, today we will fly to the Europe with Loki. I am so excited to learn more about North mythology. I hope nothing will happen, while we´re gone. Applejack looked kinda sad today, maybe I should go ask her what´s wrong. But I guess that it´s just that Loki is going away.” “Looks like there isn´t anything useful.” Whispered and closed the little book. “I should go to school. Maybe there will be some informations about that robber.” Before he left, Loki also took Twilight´s phone, that was lying next to diary and before getting into school, he tryied to find out, how does it work. Inside he realized that this school is filled with human versions of Ponyville citizens. Didn´t I said in my letter, that this is not world for ponies?” asked flustrated. “Yes, you did, but we couldn´t let you go alone, besides it´s my crown and my responsibility.” “Whatever, you´ll see it yourself. Fluttershy gave it to principal Celestia, so I want to win my crown back.” “Well, I can´t really help with that, so after school, I´ll show you where you can sleep and if something will go wrong, I´ll solve this myself.” Since then, Loki just watched Twilight´s actions from distance. He saw, everything that Sunset Shimmer did to her and wondered what to do. Next day Twilight became princess of that school, Loki gladly saw that all girls are friends again, he didn´t talk to others at all, they propably didn´t even know, that he was there. Just thinking about talking with Applejack like this – like somebody who she loves, but also like somebody who is from another world, was uncomfortable. As he expected, Sunset took a hostage - Spike. What happened with your hair, why aren´t you in Europe and what are these crystals?” Applejack asked. “I am and I am not Loki at the same time. Sunset Shimmer is dangerous with Element of Harmony, so you´ll just stay here and let me take care of things.” He turned around and started walking away through the crystals, like it was nothing. Element of Chaos slighly shined. “This is not your way of doing things Loki. You never go straight, what about your love for deception?” He stopped. “Deception became useless, in that very second you started to be in danger.” So he walked away and saw Sunset Shimmer waiting near the portal with sledge hammer. “This nonsence has to stop. Give me the Element of Harmony and I will not kill you.” While he was talking his eyes glowed with rainbow color, same as the Element of Chaos. “Oh, so you are that redneck´s boyfriend aren´t you? Is Twilight Sparkle too scared? Too bad for you, because now I possess the greatest power in the world.” She said and put the crown on her head. Right after that she turned into a demon and destroyed part of school. But before she could cause even more damage, a ring of grey crystals created barrier in shape of ball around them and flew to the air. “I will not allow any further destruction here. And seemingly I have to teach you a lesson about not talking bad about Applejack in front of me!” said and fired at her several sharp gems, but they all burned before they get to her. “This will be fun.” XXXXXXXXX “Damn Loki! What is up with him?” said Rainbow Dash and angrily kicked to the wall, but without success. “I really don´t know, lies and ilusions were always his way of doing things. And what did he meant by that - I am and I am not Loki at the same time-?” “He is also from pony world.” Said Twilight. “I don´t know what should be with his hair, but in our world was Loki very powerful unicorn, that means that he could do magic. But he became earth pony when he tryied to protect us with his own body. I think that he is still angry about it. It´s bad from me to say that, but I think that he is addicted to it. Only thing that´s protecting him from going insane by fear is love of his Applejack.” “Addicted? What do you mean by that?” “In our world he always used both magic and deception. It´s not truly his.” She would continue, but Pinkie interrupted her. “Look! The wall is crumbling!” Really. Beatiful gems were full of cracks and one strong kick from RD shattered them. Six girls ran outside of school to find Loki. Seemingly whatever was happening to him, he still won. First thing they saw oustide was giant ball made of same stuff like their wall, it was also cracked and slowly falling apart. Besides tons of crystals, girls saw body falling straight to ground. Body with black and green hair. “Loki!” screamed Applejack terrified and rushed to the place where trickster fell. “Oh my God…” whispered Twilight, when they catched up. Loki´s clothes were soaked with blood. Applejack pulled up his shirt and started crying. His chest crisscrossed deep wounds. He wasn´t dead, but according to amout of blood what he lost, there was no way he could survive. “Don´t worry, I´ll take care of him. Now go to others help them defeat Sunset.” Whispered a voice to AJ´s ear. “Who…” unknown person just grabbed her arm, picked her up and pushed to others. Applejack for some reason didn´t cry anymore. She recognized that voice. Loki. XXXXXXXXXX “Damn idiot. He let that thing to possess him.” Whispered black haired Loki to Twilight standing next to him. “Can you save him?” “I hope.” He took from his other self necklace. Even thought it´s owner was dying, that thing still shined with rainbow. Ugly rainbow, not beatiful like that natural. “He wouldn´t use this, if that couldn´t save him.” Whispered and stared at the necklace, when suddenly a grey hand grasped his. “Power…of word. That´s the key!” said hurt Loki quietly. After that he coughed some blood and lost consciousness, maybe forever. “Power of word? You should follow it and this wouldn´t happen!” “What is he talking about?” asked Twilight, who was trying to stop bleeding. “His filosophy.” Black haired Loki stood up and holded the necklace above Loki´s body. “One word can give you all courage. One word can turn your greatest joy into the worst nightmare.” Immediately after he said that the gem cracked and all the power inside was unleashed. Rainbow of chaotic colors a while circled above Loki´s body and then embraced it. But that wasn´t all. Power of chaos didn´t seem to do anything, but Loki´s body did. Green lanes in his hair started to shine like sun itself. So much, that two people near had to cover their eyes. Green energy poured from depths of trickster´s body and navigated the chaos to come inside. Like guide. Then therw was silence. From dying lights came out a person with blood-soaked clothes and black and green hair. “So you have come.” Said Loki from pony world to his other self, like nothing happened. “How couldn´t I? But I have to say, that I am very dissapointed with you.” Healed Loki didn´t say anything. “You let that thing to possess you, and most important, you disgraced the word –deception- itself!” “Just shut up, you have no idea, how it is in our world without magic!” “Yes. I don´t know, but I know for sure that it´s not a reason to become so pathetic!” “What did you say?” “You heard me! You are Loki! If you lost your magic then find something else. Using words. Words are the strongest thing in the world, they can destroy, or create anything. By giving up, before trying you just become coward.” “Just shut up.” He smiled. “Is being honest like you are right now the way tricksters act?” they both smiled. “Thank you. I don´t need this garbage, with my intelignce and my friends, I will find a power much more stronger than this!” finished and stomped on pieces of Element of Chaos. Soon the girls finished fight with Sunset Shimmer, defeated her and Applejack happily hugged both Lokis. “How did you two get here? Shouldn´t you be in Europe?” “This pile of misery send me an SMS, about what was happening here. I couldn´t just leave you alone.” After this all friends went on party, to cheer up, before Loki and Twilight will go back to their world. Later black haired Loki took his other self to a peaceful part of room, so he could speak to him. “About that part, where your toy healed you. It wasn´t just it, there is something else in your body. I can´t say what, but I know two things. If something is magic, then this power is surely something even more. The second thing is…it is active now. That power somehow unlocked itself. So be careful.” A while before midnight all friends gathered in front of the portal. And after farewell, Loki and Twilight returned back home, where they were welcomed by their pony friends. Loki looked at the mirror and saw black haired pony with green eyes came out. The both smiled. “What is so funny?” asked Applejack. Loki looked on the mirror again, but nopony was there. “Nothing, I am just really happy to be back.” Soon they returned to Ponyville and that night Loki had nightmare again. Same one.
Blood stained rainbowLoki was deadly tired. It was day after they returned from human world and because of that last nightmare, he slept only for about hour. „I have to somehow put end to this.“ Whispered and continued his walk. He didn´t know where is he going, all he wanted was time to think, which wasn´t the easiest thing to do. After a while he lied down under a tree and watched clouds. „Loki! Here you are, could you please help me?“ said Twilight suddenly standing next to him. „Of course. What do you need?“ Both ponies went to library and purple unicorn started explaining: „Do you remember that spell, what I casted on Rarity to give her a wings? I want to do little experiment and see, if I can summon realistic pair of wings this time.“ Grey earth pony smiled. „I can´t be unicorn and now I can´t be earth pony either.“ She smiled and when they arrived to library, Twilight casted her spell. „Wow, they really looks realistic!“ said Loki, when he was lookign in the mirror on his new pair of grey wings. „That´s really good. But they it´s just a test and so they have to go.“ Her horn shined and so Loki´s wings. But they didn´t dissapear. Grey pony just sighed. „What´s happenening? Why dodn´t they go away?“ „Maybe some error in your spell?“ „Maybe. I´ll look at it. Don´t you mind having these wings for some time?“ „Well, I don´t have a choice, at least I can fly a bit.“ Outside he went on nearby field and practice. „Oh, that is nice pair of wings Loki. How did you get them?“ spoke Rainbow Dash relaxing on tree brach. „Hi Rainbow. Twilight was experimenting so now I am pegasus for some time.“ „That´s awesome! New flying buddy! Inside he with few other pagasi entered a large hall, with strange mashine in the middle. There also was strange smell in the air. „Loki! I see that you didn´t make it.“ Welcomed him Rainbow Dash´s voice, strangely cold. He had really bad feeling. „Girl, what is happening? Why did I have to come here and what is this machine?“ „I think that it will be better to show it to you. I know that you always loved alchemy.“ Two guards took one of the pegasi who were doing examples with him and draged him towards the machine. Then guards threw him inside. Loki just heard short scream and weird noises, then colors of rainbow leakened and continued their trip to others part of this machine. Now he realized what is that smell. Blood. „Machine on Rainbows. This is how we are creating them. We use all the colors that this failed pegasi has in their bodies and grind them into rainbows. Of course, that is secret, but that doesn´t matter for you. The fact is, this is why I wanted you do those examples, so you came here and…“ she turned at the grey pegasus, but all she saw at the place, where he was standing was dead gurad with broken neck and open doors behind him. „Damn fools! You let him escape! Stay here and protect the machine, I´ll get him.“ Said and rushed to the open door. XXXXXX Damn. Damn. Damn. He didn´t have time to really thing about what happened, but when he realizet what is happening, he broke neck to one of the guards and ran away. He knew that Rainbow will come to get him, but there wasn´t any other option. After a while of flying through hallways, he saw door on his left side, so he opened it and ran inside. As soon as he entered a strong smell of blood hit him in the nose. „What is this place?“ Small room was filled with all kinds of chemicals organized on shelfs. Besides that, there was huge thing what usually farmers used to skin their animals. According to amout of blood, covering the floor, there were live ponies sknined in this room. It was quite a while, since Rainbow Dash went to catch that worthless pegasus. Stormkicker felt kinda bad for leting him slip away. As all male guards, he wished to date with Rainbow. What a nice clolorful body. This led to watching her, instead of their prisoner. Suddenly, the door opened and the the room came Rainbow Dash covered in blood and with her favourite sunglasses on. Also she was draging behind her skinned body. „Damn bastard, he kicked me in the neck.“ She rasped. „Are you alright Ms?“ „Of course! Také this pile of trash and throw it into machine. I decided to keep his skin, that discousting grey wouldn´t be helpful anyway.“ „Roger that.“ Stormkicker did, what she told him to do and then he turned back to her. „I need on fresh air, the fight was quite exhousting. Could you please accompany me?“ „Sure!“ Both pegasi walken through hallways to the exit. „Ms, who was that grey pegasus?“ „One of my best friends.“ „Best friends?“ „True, at least I thought that.“ „What happened? If you don´t mind…“ „I don´t. He betrayed me. It is hard to explain.“ They continued silently, until they standed at the entrance. Stormkicker watched beatiful clouds and waited, if Rainbow will say something. „You asked me, what happened.“ Said unknown voice. He turn around and saw grey pegasus, with grey skin soaked with blood and crazy look in eyes. All what was left from Rainbow Dash lied under him. Just a skin. „She betrayed me, tryied to kill me and killed those innocent ponies. She lost right to live. You will bring this skin to your superiors and tell him this: If this unholy factory continue in killing ponies, I will come back and Rainbow Dash´s pain will be NOTHING comapared to yours.“ XXXXXXXX „You thought that you will run from me?“ Rainbow Dash asked Loki, when she found him. „Why are you doing this?“ She laughed. „You can say, that I am loyal to Cloudsdale, but I think that it´s not what you want to know.“ Loki didn´t answer. „It´s because I hate you! I hate everything on you! I don´t understand how Applejack can love you! Trickster! I was supposed to be her loved one!“ „I see, so you are jaelous at me, for being Aj´s special somepony. That is truly sad.“ „You are mocking me! I know it! But know I will kill you, and Applejack will be mine, as it was supposed to be! Honesty and loyalty belongs together! Ponies like you, should be hated!“ she screamed, jumped and bite him in the leg. And Loki just calmly pulled it from her mouth. From colorful pony was just a live statue, all she could was moving her eyes. „Crippling poison. I found it in labratory. Workers of Weather Factory seemingly uses it to torture other ponies.“ „How…did you do it?“ somehow she was still able to speak. „Oh, I just put it on my body. This kind of poison has to be eaten in order to work.“ Loki pulled from under of his wing small bottle, poured it into Rainbow´s mouth and forced her to swallow it. „Don´t worry, you will die quickly, but not without pain. It is the least you deserve for killing inocent pegasi, and trying to kill me.“ Her body started to shake and fell on the ground. „I…always…hated you! No…loyalty.“ Cruelty in Loki´s sould took the lead and he spoke to her ear. „I thought, that I´ll let you die first, but I changed my mind. Do you know how I plan on escaping? I will take you to laboratory, skin you and then wear your skin as a suit to trick guards. And I will not wait until you completly die. Consider it punishment.“ Thanks to heavy door to laboratory, nopony heard Rainbow Dash´s screams. Only Loki. XXXXXXXX Later. XXXXXXXX „I have to return to Ponyville.“ Said Loki and jumped from cloud. When he was falling towards the ground and other pony appeared in front of him. „You did very well Loki.“ Said strange pony, for some reason Loki couldn´t tell, what race he is, even thought he looked directly at him. „What do you mean?“ „You are asleep. This was just a test.“ „What for?“ „You were able to brutaly kill your best friend.“ Loki shaked his head. „She tryied to kill me and she murdered all those other ponies. There was no other way.“ „You can say it like that, but I know that it hurts. Even she did, what she did, the feelings, between friends, can´t be broken so easily. Now we know that you aren´t perfect „good guy“.“ „You do realize, that once I´ll find you, you will be praying to be at her, place do you?“ „I don´t think so. If you kill me, then you´ll never discover, how to use Shard inside you, or how to get you magic back. Isn´t that your goal?“ „You won. The end justifies the means„I wonder what does Pinkie need from me.“ Said Loki to himself, when he was walking through empty Ponyville. Soon he arrived to Sugar Cube Corner, so his horn glowed with green magic, opened doors and was welcomed by Pinkie Pie. „Hi Loki! I am so happy, that you´ve come here.“ „No problem. What do you need?“ „I want to make cupcakes! Will you help me?“ „Sure thing.“ „Ouky douky loki. Before we start, don´t you want a sample? I have one left.“ „Yea, sure.“ Pinkie gave him cupcake and grey pony ate it. „It tastes de-“ didn´t even finish and lost consciousness. When he woke up, he was tied to a table. “What the heck?” “Oh, you are awake.” Said Pinkie standing next to him and Loki´s eyes widened when he saw, what is she wearing. Suit make of cutiemarks, several wings and necklace made of unicorn´s horns. “What is this?” “Oh, my suit? You like it?” “As much as I´d like grim reaper on my wedding. She had neck, and all legs chained to the stone wall and on her horn was ring with green gem. “That ring will block your magic, so you wouldn´t run away in the middle of chat.” Said earth pony Loki, when she woke up, after hit in the head, what she took back in Ponyville from Loki. “You bastards. How did you do it? You shouldn´t be able to wake up in the middle of my nightmare.” “Ts. I just put on my leg a pice of cloth soaked with weak acid. It needs some time to start being anoying, during that time I fell asleep. We predicted that pain will wake me up and also that you need to be close to me, in order for spell to work, so when the acid started to wake me up, you were forced to come even closer in order for nightmare to continue and that´s how you were caught by my friend here.” “Damn. Beginner´s mistake.” “That sure was. But I am here to ask questions. Who are you working for?” “You think that I will just tell you?” Loki turned around and stared on the wall. “There is something I promised you. In that Rainbow Factory nightmare. Scream once again pierced his ears,but he burned her leg few seconds longer. “Again. What do you want from me?” “I will not tell you anything you devil!” “Devil? I am more like judge or protector. You are danger to my friends and in order to protect them, I will cause as much pain as necessary.” “Protect your friends, or protect Applejack?” “All of them.” “Even Rainbow Dash, that you unmercifully skinned alive? It seems, that you are just hiding behind protecting your friends, but at the end, the only one who you care about is your beloved one.” Loki silently stared into darkness of cave (in the part, where they were, there was light created by black haired Loki). Grey unicorn walked to Nighttime. “You could live, but not after this.” Whispered to her with smile. She didn´t seem to understand. “There is darkness in him. It already controled him once. It´s not easy to prevent the balance between darkness and light, to crumble.” In mare´s eyes appeared fear. “You know, darkness isn´t always evil. The pain, what you will feel, will be for greater good.” “Are you two done with your chit-chat?” asked grey earth pony with cold voice. All kindness what was in it dissapeared, also he was holding sharply looking knife in hoof. “When you two were talking I decided, on what questions I want to know the answer. So, what do you want? Who are your superiors? Where do I find them? And what is that chest with mirrors on it?” Nighttime just spit in his direction. Loki cutted skin on her flanks and made a circle around one of her cutiemarks, which was ghost hiding under a bed. “Aaaaaah!!! What are you doing?” Then he pushed the blader under the skin and ripped it off. Blood immediately covered the wound and stained Loki´s leg. Same thing he did with her other cutiemark. “No please! Stop it! I will talk!” “Too late.” Then Loki took a dose with white scrystals from his saddle bag, what was lying the cave. “Soil.” Said and covered both wounds with it. Scream what came out of Nighttime was the most terrible so far. Pain was so great that she lost control over her body and under her appeared a pool of urine mixed with blood. As if it wasn´t enough, Loki sliced her flank a little and forced soil inside too. Mare screamed long time, until all she could was coughing. “So?” “The…chest is…way of my superiors….to allow you….control the Shard. They want…you to…take down Celestia…and Luna. Then…they´ll use…the chest…to turn you back into…unicorn.” She spoke so quitly, that other ponies had trouble to hear her. “Continue.” “Their names are…Sunset Shimmer…Queen Chrysalis…and…some other pony…I really don´t know…his name. They are in…Starswirl´s castle…in Everdark….forest.” “Thank you.” Loki looked at her tired face. “If I didn´t love Applejack, I might have some interest in you.” Whispered into her ear and laughed. “Please…let me…live.” Black hairder Loki, who was until now just quietly standing nearby pulled from saddle bag a glass with trapped parasprite inside. He carefuly took it out and walked to Nighttime. “Sorry little girl.” Said and pushed the insect into her throat. Then he teleported himself and other Loki back into library, so they didn´t had watch it. “Do you know what is that Starswirls´s castle?” “Yes I do. Once I found there a silver dagger. I remember that it had carved snakes on it. Unfortunately I forgot it in the Changliville. But I am afraid, that I don´t know how to get there.” “From what you told me about this world, there should be answer in library of the Crystal Empire.”
Rebirth„So, Nighttime is dead. It was predictable, I must say.“ Said Sunset Shimmer, watching Everdark forest from window to pony hidden in shadow. „Just another sin on his already long list. Wish I could go kill him right now.“ „We need him, as terrible as it sounds.“ „I know. But I am not sure if I can look into his eyes without ripping his head off.“ „You have to overcome it. Don´t worry you will have your vengeance, but for now, we need both of you.“ Hidden pony sighed. Red and yellow mare came to him and put her hoof on his shoulder. „I understand you, I also have reason to hate him.“ He nodded. „Seems that you are forgetting something.“ Spoke Queen Chrysalis suddenly standing in the room. „Forget what?“ „You think that it will be easy to defeat him? He has experience and talent far behind most of ponies.“ „Ts! Without his magic he is nothing! All he did was thanks to it!“ „Nighttime thought it too and what is left from her? I wondered where her human version could be. Now we know that they swapt worlds. Your is trapped in mine and vica versa.“ „Also there is Chrysalis in this game. Loki finally found ancient castle, where he once found a dagger, what became his friend, until he arrived to Ponyville. “I am here. As you said!” shouted. Old gate slowly opened and grey pony entered the ruins. “Welcome. We are glad, that you came here so fast.” Spoke familiar voice and Loki saw on the other end of room, two ponies and a changeling. “Let´s get to the buisness. You know how to use the Shard?” “Yes, come with us and we will show you.” So he followed others out of the castle, shortly throught the forest and finally they arrived to ruined church. Same like in his nightmares. In it´s middle was giant chest, created by mirrors. Loki came closer and started studiing it. He noticed that lock is basically just thin magical fiber of grey energy. Somehow it seemed familiar. It was obvious that it´s created by magic, so grey pony looked inside and saw a silver dagger with carved snakes on it. His dagger what he left in the Changliville. Core of the spell. “Explain it.” Said angrily. Unknown pony frowned. “It really is your dagger. This chest is created by fragmet of your soul, what was stolen from you by weapon itself.” Said that pony. “This way you, and only you, can take anything what you´ve ever been. All those mirrors, are things that you can take.” Loki looked on one mirror, that reflected green gem. “Same thing works for horn, what you lost.” Finished unknown pony. “So that´s how it is. I am buisness pony, what do you want me to use Shard for?” Now spoke Sunset Shimmer. “As you propably know, the Shard is source of of the most powerful magic in the Equestria, even stronger then Elements of Harmony, or Crystal Heart. We already know, that you don´t have a problem wih killing if necessery, so we want you to take down Celestia and Luna, so we can rule.” “I am protecting my friends, not princesses. But let me see them, so I know that they are alright.” “No problem. Chrysalis teleport them here. We have to focus on the Chest.” “Fine.” Her jagged horn glowed with green and all seven ponies appeared in the room, holded with her magic, so they couldn´t move. “Did you decided?” asked black haired Loki. “Yes.” Answered his other self and destroyed the mirror, what was reflecting the green gem. At the same time he touched the one with his horn and it turned dark. He became unicorn once again. “What did you do?!” screamed Sunset. Newborn unicon turned to them and next to him appeared another pony. This one was entirely green as streams in Loki´s mane. “My friend once told me, that he doesn´t know, what Shard does, but he was sure, that it was something more then magic. He was right. Shard is ultimate power, being able to completely control minds. Power like this is extremly dangerous, so by destroying that mirror, it´s now trapped inside me, without any possibility of being used and once I die, it will die with me.” Nopony was able to speak, so green pony started. “I am soul of Shard. I was used many times and never for something good. So I decided, here with my owner Loki, that I shouldn´t exist anymore. When he saw me first time, I controled him to think, that my destruction would cause massive explosion, so that´s how I got inside of his soul. Unfortunately, it wasn´t enough, so I took the power of Chaos to heal him and at the same time, make him know, that I live. Since then you all were controlled by us, it started in that second, when Sunset visited us. Since then, you were just being used. Now I can finally rest, without fear that evil like you would use me.” With these words, green pony dissapreared and so did green lines in Loki s mane. “You bastard!” screamed unknown pony. “This is not the end! I will have my revenge no matter what, I am still linked to the Chest!” Loki was surprised, when suddenly a weakness started to spread through his body and he fell on knees. “Yes! I still can kill you, with this I can make your powers useless!” “Not so fast!” shouted Twilight and with Rarity´s and Loki´s help they broke free from Chrysalis´s spell and attacked the group. “Applejack!” whispered weakening Loki. She looked at him. “Cut that fiber, it´s the only thing what holds the Chest together!” “I´m on it!” she said, bite the string and pulled. It broke. Newborn unicorn screamed like no other pony screamed before. Panicaly holded his head, seemingly in great pain. After a while, the scream stopped and Loki just looked into nowhere. His eyes and mind were dead. “What happened?” “Sacrifice.” Answered Sunset Shimmer, defeated by Twilight. "The chest was created by piece of his soul, trapped inside of that dagger. By destroying that fiber, he lost that part. It´s the worst pain in the world. He couldn´t feel himself, which is something you do, without realizing and so he lost his mind.” She smiled. “He deserved it.” “No! That can´t be true! Isn´t there something what we could do?” “Unfortunately no.”answered remaining Loki. Applejack started crying and he hugged her. “It was part of his plan.” “NO! This isn´t enough! I will not stop until he will be alive!” shouted revengeful pony and rushed to the mindless grey unicorn. Along the way he picked up silver dagger, lying on the floor. “I will revenge my sister Julia!” said and stabbed with knife. When he opened eyes, he saw that it wasn´t loki, who he stabbed. From Applejack´s mouth dripped blood on the blade. “I am…coming…to you.” Whispered and fell death on the floor. “Applejack!” screamed her friends and rushed to her body, but were stopped by wall of green magic. Queen Chrysalis slowly walked to insane Loki and death AJ and pushed Julia´s brother away. Then she picked up the dagger. “So, it seems, that at the end you discovered what is love.” Spoke to Loki, the dagger glowed with green and two strings of magic came out of it. One of it connected the weapon with Loki and the other one with Applejack. “You went through lots of trouble because of me. Now, at the end of all of this. I just want to tell you something. Now when you understand the love, all you have to do is decide, if it´s worth of fighting for.” She coughed and ponies noticed that she became smaller and paler. “Is she really doing it?” Asked Loki behind the spell quietly. “I am glad that somepony like you was my servant. Thank you and I am sorry. Loki, my faithful student.” Finished and fell death on the ground next to them. “What happened?” asked Twilight. “That dagger was able to stole pieces of souls either of it´s owner or ponies who were killed by it. Chrysalis sacrificed her soul in order to make bridge for those pieces and bring them back to live.” “And that´s not all. Only returning pieces of souls wouldn´t be enough. My is replaced by piece of Aj´s soul and vica versa. So now, we can´t live one without other. Nothing new I must say.” They all looked next to them and saw exhousted Loki holding even more tired Applejack. “I think that we should go home. Sunset Shimmer escaped and that poor guy had an heart attack. Too bad for him, seemingly he wasn´t able live with himself, after he killed Applejack.” “So everything is good now?” asked Rainbow Dash. “Yes. I am so glad that my mane is black again.” Said grey unicorn and laughed. “It isn´t black! Look.” Said his other self and created a mirror in front of him. Instead of green streams there were rainbow ones. And not just regular rainbow. This one chaoticaly changed colors and contained even those what weren´t natural. “Fuck.”
