The Marked One

I walked through the Monolith base strangely unopposed, my TRs-301 out in front of me and my foot steps to keep me on edge. As I rounded another corner the yell of a Bloodsucker caught my attention. Taking cover behind a wall to a door to my right I slowly leaned out trying to get a view of the mutant. Sadly I saw nothing thus meaning that the Bloodsucker was invisible and must have clearly heard me or seen me. Coming out of my cover I slowly walked through the doorway with my rifle raised, scanning for threats.

I entered the room slowly taking my time to walk down the stairs. Once on the floor I scanned the room again but I was interrupted as a pair of glowing yellow eyes charged towards me. I wasn't able to raise my rifle in time and it slammed into me, my armor taking much of the force as it pushed me to the ground. Using my right arm as a leverage I kept the beast at bay while I tried to find my knife. Grabbing the handle of the weapon I pulled it out of its sheath and plunged it into the Bloodsuckers rib cage.

It gave out a howl in pain giving me the chance to push it off. As soon as I got back up it charged at me again only for it to take my steel blade to the head. The blade made contact within the mouth as its tentacles wrapped around my armored hand. It tried desperately to pry the blade out but it didn't budge. Giving the blade a twist the mutant fell silent, its eyes losing it glow before falling limb on the steel floor.

Wiping off the blade on the wall I put it back into its sheath before grabbing my rifle. Shouldering it I made my way deeper into the base before coming across the Brain Scorchers controls, grabbing the handle I shut it down before everything started to shake and go black.

Standing up from my strange vision the sound of men yelling reached my ears.

'дерьмо!' I swore in my head before picking up my rifle and ran towards the door, my spark artifact going to work keeping me running. Running through a door coming to a set of stairs a Monolith soldier socked my way, raising my rifle before he could get a shot on my I fired a burst of rounds causing his head to explode. His body fell to the ground as I sprinted past him, coming to another hallway I heard voices coming this way, pulling out a grenade I threw it to the end of the hall before a Monolith in an exoskeleton along with two soldiers entered the hall. The grenade exploded turning the two Monoliths into gore as the one in Exoskeleton armor stood firm. I fired a salvo of lead towards him, the bullets tore through the weakened armor. Blood started to gush out of his wounds while he still stood tall before falling face first onto the ground. Walking through the pool of blood I started to run again.

Coming into a room the door shut behind me, in the room were three bloodsuckers.

'Вы совсем издеваешься надо мной?!' I though before the Bloodsuckers all jumped me. I fired randomly killing one of the bloodsuckers but the other two got to me. I pushed my rifle outwards causing one of them to fall as the other one takled me. Before it could get a good grip on my I punched it, it fell off of me as I stood up. Bringing my right foot up I smashed its head causing brain matter and blood to cover my boot and floor.

As I was going to turn to the last one a single bullet flew into my lens and took out my left eye. I yelled in pain before again being tackled by a Bloodsucker. Its appendages wrapped around my neck faster than I could react before my jugular vein was ruptured. Yelling in pain as the mutant began to feed I once again pulled out my knife and rapidly stabbed it in the chest. It got off of me and I was able to get my pistol. Firing multiple rounds into its chest it fell silent. I tried to yell but I had no voice, I tried to move but the pain and blood loss kept me in mobile. Soon I fell silent, no longer breathing, crying, or suffering. Soon Everything went White.
