//-------------------------------------------------------// The Marked One -by LieutenantGarrison- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Monolith //-------------------------------------------------------// The Monolith I walked through the Monolith base strangely unopposed, my TRs-301 out in front of me and my foot steps to keep me on edge. As I rounded another corner the yell of a Bloodsucker caught my attention. Taking cover behind a wall to a door to my right I slowly leaned out trying to get a view of the mutant. Sadly I saw nothing thus meaning that the Bloodsucker was invisible and must have clearly heard me or seen me. Coming out of my cover I slowly walked through the doorway with my rifle raised, scanning for threats. I entered the room slowly taking my time to walk down the stairs. Once on the floor I scanned the room again but I was interrupted as a pair of glowing yellow eyes charged towards me. I wasn't able to raise my rifle in time and it slammed into me, my armor taking much of the force as it pushed me to the ground. Using my right arm as a leverage I kept the beast at bay while I tried to find my knife. Grabbing the handle of the weapon I pulled it out of its sheath and plunged it into the Bloodsuckers rib cage. It gave out a howl in pain giving me the chance to push it off. As soon as I got back up it charged at me again only for it to take my steel blade to the head. The blade made contact within the mouth as its tentacles wrapped around my armored hand. It tried desperately to pry the blade out but it didn't budge. Giving the blade a twist the mutant fell silent, its eyes losing it glow before falling limb on the steel floor. Wiping off the blade on the wall I put it back into its sheath before grabbing my rifle. Shouldering it I made my way deeper into the base before coming across the Brain Scorchers controls, grabbing the handle I shut it down before everything started to shake and go black. I swore in my head before picking up my rifle and ran towards the door, my spark artifact going to work keeping me running. Running through a door coming to a set of stairs a Monolith soldier socked my way, raising my rifle before he could get a shot on my I fired a burst of rounds causing his head to explode. His body fell to the ground as I sprinted past him, coming to another hallway I heard voices coming this way, pulling out a grenade I threw it to the end of the hall before a Monolith in an exoskeleton along with two soldiers entered the hall. The grenade exploded turning the two Monoliths into gore as the one in Exoskeleton armor stood firm. I fired a salvo of lead towards him, the bullets tore through the weakened armor. Blood started to gush out of his wounds while he still stood tall before falling face first onto the ground. Walking through the pool of blood I started to run again. Coming into a room the door shut behind me, in the room were three bloodsuckers. 'Вы совсем издеваешься надо мной?!' I though before the Bloodsuckers all jumped me. I fired randomly killing one of the bloodsuckers but the other two got to me. I pushed my rifle outwards causing one of them to fall as the other one takled me. Before it could get a good grip on my I punched it, it fell off of me as I stood up. Bringing my right foot up I smashed its head causing brain matter and blood to cover my boot and floor. As I was going to turn to the last one a single bullet flew into my lens and took out my left eye. I yelled in pain before again being tackled by a Bloodsucker. Its appendages wrapped around my neck faster than I could react before my jugular vein was ruptured. Yelling in pain as the mutant began to feed I once again pulled out my knife and rapidly stabbed it in the chest. It got off of me and I was able to get my pistol. Firing multiple rounds into its chest it fell silent. I tried to yell but I had no voice, I tried to move but the pain and blood loss kept me in mobile. Soon I fell silent, no longer breathing, crying, or suffering. Soon Everything went White. //-------------------------------------------------------// Waking Up //-------------------------------------------------------// Waking Up Well, this is death... just white? Well its better than total darkness. Wait, why can I feel my body? AND FUCK THAT'S A LOT OF PAIN! "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" I yelled as I woke up. I opened my eyes towards a blurry night sky. I was breathing heavily like after running 5 miles strait, my chest burned and everything else ached. My ears were ringing, blinking a few times I finally got clear view of the sky. To say what I saw was shocking was a under statement, It was magnificent... I came so focused with it that I forgot the pain. I stared at it for a moment until the pain reminded me of my situation. "Gaaaah." I slowly got to my feet only to fall. "Ow." I crawled over to a tree near by and lifted my self up while using it. As I regained my balance I noticed that this defiantly was not The Zone... or any part of earth I've seen. The terrain was different, it felt different. I took a few steps forward and I began to get up to speed. I looked around until I saw a little glow in the distance. As loud as I yelled I am surprised that they didn't hear me... but it was about 2 miles away. Before we go on this "expedition" lets check our gear. my subconscious reminded me. I removed my equipment to see what I had; I had my assault rifle with scope and taped magazines for easy reload, my trusty Big Ben pistol, steel knife, a few Army Medkits, Energy Drinks, plenty of ammo, Bandages, and food. After packing up my thinks low growling caught my ear. Spinning around bringing my rifle to bear I faced my opponents; mutated wolfs that were made out of wood. 'Then I must be in The Zone still.' One jumped at me only for it to meet my right boot as I kicked it in mid air causing it to brake in half. Another one tried to jump at me but I aimed my rifle and shot it in mid air. *crack* It's head exploded into splinters sending sap and twigs everywhere. These things were fragile. The final one to attack me jumped into the air and bit down on my armor destroying its teeth. The others started to back off, now knowing that they can't harm me. They had a new found fear of me, so I decided to make them fear me more. Raising my rifle I shot another in the head ending in the same result as the last. They started to run into the forest as I continued to fire. "Take that you Sukas!" is all I said. I looked back to the fire in the distance to see it fading away. Who ever was there heard the gun shots and probably got scared. I began to make my way down the hill only to stop a mile away when the fire was lit again. Slowly I pulled out my rifle and began to approach. CMC They were walking down a road to New Ponyville were it was Neutral but was a slum. This is were any'pony' would go to find peace but there lives were complete misery. Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle were just wonders going between town to town not really going anywhere. Babs Seed was in Manehattan when Pinkie took over and is most likely dead. Canterlot is ruled by Rarity, the Crystal Empire is ruled by Sombra and Twilight, Appleloosa is ruled by Applejack, Cloudsdale is ruled by Rainbow Dash, and Manehattan is ruled by Pinkie Pie. Manehattan is a nightmare, they have seen it before there is blood all over the walls and party decorations made out of ponies. It was a sickening place and no one went near it. "Hey Applebloom, we should stop for the night." Scootaloo said. "Yea, I reckon that would be best." Applebloom replied. (I have no idea how to do a southern accent.) They walked off the road to were there was a space in the forest that we could put down a fire and tents wary of Blood Runners. They kidnap travelers at night and take em' to Canterlot were they bleed them. A very sad and painful way to die, not as bad as the way Pinkie does it though. After setting up there tents they gathered by the fire. "So, what do ya'll think when this might end?" Applebloom asked. "I don't know, I just hope soon. I just want everything back to normal." Scootaloo responded. "Well I heard that Luna and Fluttershy are searching for a way to revers this but no one knows were they are." Sweetie Belle cut in. Scootaloo grabbed an apple from her sack. When she looked trough it her mouth dropped, she was not suspecting to see a Tall creature in some strange yellow, black and green armor. //-------------------------------------------------------// Contact and New Enemies //-------------------------------------------------------// Contact and New Enemies The Marked One As I made my way down the hill not to far from the camp I noticed a figure in the clearing. Grabbing my binoculars I looked towards the figures, what I saw took shook me to the core. The mutant was bipedal, orange fur, it looked female due to the breast, and what I thing I saw was wings on its back. I waved at it with my right hand, it responded by waving back. OK, Its intelligent. . . the only problem is the lack of cloths. Well, you can't see anything but It was still a bit creepy at the least. CMC "Well Sweetie, you were right." Scootaloo said. "Really?! Let me look!" She grabbed the Spy Glass and looked were Scootaloo was looking. Its armor looked far different from pony armor, it looked more bulkier and at the same time lighter. It carried a strange weapon on its back and it seemed to be pondering weather or not to equip it. Sweetie began to walk towards the new being. "What are you doing?" Scootaloo Asked. "I want to see it up close and try to convince it we are friendly." Sweetie said. Applebloom cut in. "What if it's not and it kills you when you get close to it?" "True, Applebloom why don't you flank around while we talk to him?" Scootaloo said. "OK." Applebloom said as she ran off. 5 mins later... The Marked One Two of them slowly began to come up the hill where I was at, when they were about a few yards away they stopped. "Hello?" The one in white asked. Why can I understand it? "H-hello." I said, the white one with pinkish purple hair grew a large smile on face. "It can talk! It can talk! It can talk! It can talk!" I waited until she died down her little moment. "Sorry, I got a bit to exited there." she said with a nervous smile. "Do not worry, I was the same way when I first discovered my first artifact." I stated, her smile grew a bit wider. "So, who are you?" asked the orange one. "I'm. . . I am. . . I don't know who I am, but back in the zone they called me the Marked One." I said. "Also, tell your comrade back there that she isn't doing a good job at hiding." "Who?" asked the orange one again. I pointed to were the yellow dot on my mini-map was located. In which a yellow colored one with red hair came out with a sword in hand. "How did ya see me?" she asked. "It is not hard to detect someone when you have a small chip inside your helmet that tells you were friends and enemies are." I informed. "But we arn't you friends." she replied. "Thus you show up as a yellow dot on my mini-map." "Mini-map?" asked the white one again. "How about we discuss this somewhere else, I have the feeling we are being watched." I said glancing around, they did the same. Soon we made our way towards the camp they had set up as I positioned myself on a log. We sat there in silence until I broke it. "So. . . who are you?" I asked. "My names Scootaloo, this is my friends Sweetie Belle and Applebloom." said Scootaloo. "Ah. . ." I said, my stomach gave a low grumble but not enough to hear it. Taking off my bag I reached into it and pulled out a loaf of bread. "You do not mind do you?" I asked. "Not at all." said Sweetie Belle. I reached for my mask before pulling it downward revealing the lower part of my face. Much to the surprise.
