Shift was born different. Unlike the other changelings, Shift was nice and had red eyes, wings, and carapace. He refuses to fight and would rather be friends with ponies, rather than take their place in society. He was at the Canterlot invasion, but didn't attack anypony. Although he didn't like Queen Chrysalis's method for getting love, he still admired her. That is until he met Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness.
