Chapter one: The New dracoequus in town
It was a bright Spring day in Canterlot, The young Princess Celestia had just woken up from dreams of finding a new friend for her to play with besides her sister, Luna. She loved her little sister, but she wanted someone else to play with. Suddenly, a loud voice filled the room."Celestia!" It was her mother, Princess Nebula.
"Yes mother?" she called back as she looked around her room, the many paintings of Equestria that covered the bright yellow walls " Come here dearest daughter, I have a surprise for you". the princess called; the sound of her loving mother's voice bounced against the walls and into Celestia's ears. "Coming!" Celestia yelled back with sudden excitement.
She then energetically galloped out of her room and down the long hall that lead to the main staircase. There were loud hoof steps that clattered down at the marble tiling that even Nebula could hear. As the many rooms that filled the hallway passed the young princess, Luna overheard the excitement that Celestia magnified as she passed her room. She then galloped after her older sister to the ballroom in which where their mother was.
Celestia quickly noticed Luna behind her and started to slow down and let her catch up to her. Luna galloped as fast as she could and finally was beside her sister and and stared right at her. "So, why are we running big sister?" she asked aloud . She was practicing her royal Canterlot voice. Luna was very interested in the traditional royal etiquette. Celestia looked back. "Mother says she has a surprise for me". she said booming. Luna nodded and they kept galloping.
They finally got to the ballroom. The two princesses saw their mother talking to a strange creature that didn't look like a pony. It looked like a mare, but with two horns, a lion's paw, a goat leg, a long body, and two different kind of wings of two colors. behind the creature, was a smaller version of her. The young colt was hiding shyly behind his mother, looking around the large ballroom. Celestia trotted over to her mother and the strange mare, leaving Luna to walk over to them slowly. Nebula looked down at her down at her daughter."Celestia, this is Disharmony", she said soft spoken.
"I know her name sounds funny, but she is a nice mare", she continued. "Sorry to interrupt", she then cut in. "But I'm not a Pony,Nebula, I am a Draconequus", she said with regret. Celestia cocked her head in confusion. Nebula not offended at all stared at Disharmony, wanting for her to go on explaining. Disharmony nodded."That means that I am a mixture of many different creatures", she instructed. Nebula then remembered why she called Celestia down to the ballroom. "And this is her son Discord. I was hoping you two could play today", she said looking at both Discord and Celestia. The young Draconequus started to come out of his state of shyness and socialize.They both nodded and and walked to the other side of the ballroom.
Celestia smiled kindly "Hi, I'm Celestia", said the overjoyed filly, trying to hide her excitement. Discord looked back at her "I'm Discord. So what do you want to do?" He asked, still kind of shy. "Well, what do you like to do? I like to play outside." Celestia tried to break the ice. Discord started to think. "I like to play with my magic", he said trying not to sound weird. Celestia smiled "That's so interesting! I only know a few spells though", she tried to relate. Discord let in a wide smile. "Sweet, lets go outside and show each other our magic!" he said with excitement. She galloped out to the Palace courtyard with discord shortly following.
