//-------------------------------------------------------// Absent Minded -by Duel Shot- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Pilot //-------------------------------------------------------// Pilot The sun  drooped under the edge of the horizon, leaving the world temporarily in eternal darkness. Not before the full moon rises, a train to Ponyville parked at the nearest station. Stepping off was a young stallion with a cotton candy colored mane, red fur, magenta eyes, a unicorn, and a yellow explosion with five blue stars around it. His name was Duel Shot, ex-demolition expert of the equestrian army. He lost his voice when the Queen of the Changelings attacked Canterlot. When he was resigned from duty by the Princess herself, he came to Ponyville. His best friend, Ice Cloud, works at a sofa shop. Two days ago he sent Duel Shot a letter saying he has a extra room in his house, so he obliged. He got on the first train to Ponyville. He looks up to the sky, admiring its beauty. Looks like Luna doing her job. He trots down a dirt pathway through the city, periodically glancing at the letter which Ice had sent him. After about an hour of walking, he finally reached his destination. He slowly walks up to the door and knocks on it. "One minute!" a voice inside rings through the street, waking few residents. The door cracks an inch and a half. "What!" The voice says. "Oh! Duels!" The door closes. After a few minutes of unlocking various locks. Eventually the door opens, and a pony with a white mane, dark blue eyes, baby blue fur, a Pegasus, and a cloud with ice shards coming out of it for a cutie mark. "Hey! Uh, come in." He says. The pair walk through the door. "So, still mute?" he asks. Duel Shot annoyingly nods. "Ice!" a voice rings few the house, waking even MORE residents. A rainbow maned mare, also known as Rainbow Dash, comes down the stairs. She soon notices Duel Shot and frowns. "Uh, Ice? Who's this?" She asks turning to Ice Cloud. "Dash, this is my friend Duel Shot, ex-demolition expert for the Equestrian army." He answers quickly. Duel Shot looks over at Ice Cloud, with a face that says 'What the buck is the Element of Loyalty doing here?' "Rainbow Dash here is well, uh, my wife-to-be." He says sheepishly. "Yep!" Dash says while rotting over to Ice, putting her right fore arm around his neck. "We're to be wed two months from now!" She says. "I'll show you to your room." Ice says suddenly. The pair walk down a hall to a door at the end. The door opens magically, via Duel Shot's magic. He slumps on the bed and drifts off. This is going to be interesting. He thinks before drifting off into a darkening sleep. But that all happened a year ago. The gang had many non-important adventures. I'll name a few. There was the time when Rainbow Dash and Ice Cloud got married, and making Duel Shot move out and live with Twilight Sparkle, the local librarian, for two weeks. The two bonded over that period, and eventually, Duel Shot fell in love with Twilight. There was the time when- oh, well all that is not important right now. The real danger is up a head. "When chaos returns," The voice rang intensely through the alicorn's head, the moonlight showed it was night. "What was that?" She murmured  to her self, breathing heavily as she recovers from the previous nightmare she had had. The librarian sits up from the bed. Looking at the window, she intently stares at a star that appears to be moving in a circular motion towards east. Having dismissed the thought of somepony actually driving the runaway star. Twilight groans quietly, trying hard not to disturb the currently sleeping, purple, and green dragon. "I've been having the same dream about Duel Shot," She pauses for a moment, thinking when she last saw him. "Speaking of which, he hasn't returned that book on Physical Nature." She giggles at herself for getting off-topic so easily. The bearer picks up her hooves, throwing them off the side of the bed. Then, landing on all four hooves, walks to the bathroom. She looks in the mirror hanging on the wall, examining her bed mane. Sighing, the mare trots back to bed, slumping on the soft mattress. Letting sleep overcome her. The sun shined through the window of a normal house on  88 FourthTrot st. Through the window the sun finds its first victim of the horrors of the new day. The rays of light danced of the dark red fur of a pony. The pony groans loudly and reaches for the, never-existing, alarm clock on his night stand. "Uhg. I hate mornings!" He yells in a annoyed tone. He sits up on his bed. "Yo Duels!" Rainbow Dash yells and bursts through the door. Duel Shot yelps in fright as the pony scoops him up and flies him down stairs, siting him on a chair at the table. "Does you're wife always have to do that every time I wake up?" Duel Shot asks, breathing heavily. Instead of replying, Ice Cloud only laughs. "She does what she's told." The rainbow maned mare replies. Duel Shot sighs, gets up from the table and trots over to the fridge, opening it with his magic. As he carefully looks through the cooler, periodically pulling an item out. The dark red pony licks his lips, having an image of what wonderful breakfast item he will be making. "Hey, what do you think you're doing going through my fridge like that?" Ice Cloud says in a jokingly manner. "OUR fridge," Duel Shot shoots back while giving a sudden glare. "Plus, if I weren't here, you guys would not have had that privacy lock on you're bedroom door after your marriage."  Ice Cloud and Rainbow Dashes faces fluster with redness. "Dang it Duels! Ever sense you got your mouth back you've been countering every thing we say to you!" Rainbow Dash yells. Duel Shot just snickers at himself.
