Night Watch sat slumped on her stool, her hoof idly tracing the rim of her empty beer mug. It had been a slow night at the Iron Horseshoe, only a few patrons sat strew throughout the bar. It was late, after all. Night Watch had come directly after her shift had ended and she was still clad in the Lunar Guard’s uniform. She shifted in her seat, cursing herself for not shedding the silvery purple armor at home before coming her. It was starting to get hot after her third drink.

An old jukebox crooned softly from one corner of the bar, the lights flickering in the dim gloom of the establishment. It wasn’t classy, but Night Watch had been coming here ever since her father had shown her the place. Plus, the drink was cheap and beer was beer.
The bat-pony let her eyes sweep from one end of the bar to the other, idly surveying the patrons. An older stallion with graying whiskers sat with what Night Watch assumed was his son. A few tables away were a trio of stallions engrossed in a poker match. A fat cigar hang from the lips of one of them, she could smell the musky smoke from here.
But what really caught her interest was a lone mare across the way. The pale silver unicorn sat alone, sipping periodically from a tall champagne flute. The gentle curl of her sky blue and lavender mane framed her face beautifully, Night Watch thought. What was she doing here alone?
She swiveled to face the bar, tapping the counter with a silver-shod hoof, “Another beer.”
The bartender, a portly burgundy stallion with very little mane to his head, grunted his acknowledgement and grabbed her empty mug. He turned the nozzle to the keg and out sloshed the dark amber brew. The foam oozed over the top of the tankard as he slid it back her way. She muttered a thanks, sipping at the foam, the cold liquid sliding down her parched throat. She left three bits as she sauntered across the bar, heading for the mare’s table.
She slid into the seat across from her. It took a moment for the mare to register Night Watch’s appearance. Her delicate eyebrows rose in surprise as she paused mid sip, her lips pursed on the rim of the flute.

She swallowed and levitated her glass back down to the table with a soft clink. A pleasantly melodic voice asked, “Who are you?”

Night Watch grinned a crooked little smile, “Name’s Night Watch. Yours?”

“Flurry,” The unicorn responded, eyeing the beer clasped between her hooves, “Are you drunk?”

With a snort, Night Watch took another gulp, “Drunk? No. Buzzed? Maybe a little. I can handle a little drink.”

Flurry smiled ever so slightly, “So, what, you figured I needed a little company? I can take care of myself, you know.”

“I’m not doubting that, “ Night Watch said pleasantly, “Just wanted to meet a pretty mare is all. If I’m bothering you, I can go.”

She rose partially from her seat but was stalled by a hoof atop hers, “No, it’s okay. You can stay. Sorry, it’s been a rough night is all.”

Night Watch nodded in understanding, lowering herself back down. Success.

Flurry titled her head, taking in the other mare before her. She was attractive- for a mare. Her magenta eyes were heavily hooded and something about her crooked smile was inviting. Even more alluring- she was a bat pony. Flurry had only seen them from afar as they preferred the late night. She was at first taken aback by the draconian pupils of her new companion, but it was something…exotic. And she liked it.

“Never seen a bat pony before?” Night Watched asked, amused by the once over.
Flurry shook her head, showing no embarrassment in being caught looking, “Not up close. You’re a part of the Lunar Guard, then? I mean, why else would you be wearing the fancy armor.”
Night Watch nodded, her chest puffing with pride, “Yep. Part of the long range battalion and scouting parties. It’s a pretty fun job, actually. What do you do?”
“I do ice sculptures, “Flurry said, grinning slightly, “Not a common talent, I suppose…and definitely not as cool as the princess’s guard.”

“Well, I’ve never met a pony with that ability, so that’s something,” Night Watch said with a nod, draining her mug. By now, it had grown even warmer, and being in the presence of a beautiful mare had set another part of her on fire, “I haven’t met a pony quite as pretty as you for a long while, either.” She gulped dryly; damn, she was thirsty.

Flurry chuckled, her eyes locking on to Night Watch’s. The pickup line was weak but she was slightly tipsy…plus, Night Watch was good looking herself. She pushed away the empty champagne glass, her voice dropping lower as she asked, “It’s getting kind of stuffy in here. Would you care to take this conversation outside?”

With an eager nod, Night Watch slid from her chair. Flurry led the way to the door as Night Watch trailed behind, watching the sway of her hips. Flurry cast a glance over her shoulder. She had this bat pony completely enraptured.

The heavy oaken door swung shut behind the pair as Flurry paused, just outside an empty alleyway. Their breaths condensed in the cold winter air but both mares were too tipsy to care. Night Watch made the first move, roughly bustling Flurry into the dark alleyway, her hooves clattering heavily on the cobblestone.

Flurry gasped softly as Night Watch’s lips met hers roughly, the heavy weight of the bat pony sending her sprawling back into the cold bricks of the wall behind her. Flurry returned the kiss with fervor, her forehooves thrown around Night Watch’s shoulders.

They broke apart, both ponies panting slightly. Night Watch gently shifted Flurry’s mane away from one side of her neck before burying her muzzle there. The warmth of the pony beneath her was intoxicating, and even more alluring still was the beat of Flurry’s heart. Night Watch could feel the thrum of the silver unicorn’s life blood as she kissed her neck, her lips seeking her most vulnerable spot.

Flurry’s eyes snapped open as a sudden thought crossed her mind, she pushed back against Night Watch who groaned as she forced her muzzle away, “W-what’s wrong?”

“Bat ponies, “ Flurry asked, eyes round, “Do you drink blood?”

Night Watch tensed, afraid to ruin this moment, “Yes, but I wouldn’t do that to you.”

A moment of silence passed and all Night Watch could hear was the thump of Flurry’s heart. Then, a soft whisper in her ear, “I want you to.”

“What?” She couldn’t keep the surprise from her voice.

“To bite me,” Flurry said hurriedly, her pulse racing even faster now. Sweet Celestia, the very idea of it was repulsive. But to share something so intimate with a pony- to have her in that way connect to you…Flurry had to know what that was like.

“Are you sure?”

Flurry glared at Night Watch, pressing their muzzles together again in a brief but languid kiss, “Yes.”

The bat pony swallowed hungrily and nodded quickly. She pulled Flurry up on to her back hooves, leaning the mare against her as she began to kiss her neck once more. Flurry shuddered as Night Watch’s tongue rasped over the thin skin of her throat. She ground her rump against Night Watch’s sex, feeling the wet of the other mare seep into her fur. Her breath hitched slightly as the bat pony’s cold iron-shod hoof trailed down her stomach and dipped between her own legs. She bucked backwards, a soft groan escaping her lips as Night Watch worked her most sensitive spot.

Night Watch busied herself with pleasuring the mare pressed close to her. It was becoming increasingly hard to concentrate on the task at hand, but Flurry wanted it- and she was still thirsty. She kissed her lover’s throat once more before driving her fangs deep into the hot flesh below.

Flurry tensed at first as the sharp pain caught her by surprise. It only took a second for her to forget it- the union of pain and pleasure of unusual, but Flurry found enjoying it- in fact, a few seconds later she felt her muscles lock as a wave of pleasure tore through her. Her legs quaked as she cried out hoarsely. She clutched tightly on to Night Watch as the bat pony greedily drank from her willing victim. Crimson droplets rolled down the curve of the unicorn’s neck. Night Watch pulled away a second later, letting her forehooves fall to the ground. She herself was still shaking with exhilaration as Flurry turned to her.

“That was…something else,” She said weakly, taking a deep breath. She pressed a hoof to her bleeding neck, “T-thank you…”

Night Watch smiled her crooked smile again, her fangs stained scarlet, “Don’t mention it…”
