Murder at the Gala

It was the night of the 262th Annual Grand Galloping Gala, the typical bunch were attending the Gala. Those fancy nobles, spoiled brats, hypocritical flankhats, sneering at "commoners" and alike. They had no sympathy for those underneath them, or above for that matter. Prince Blueblood had crossed a line, one he should have never had even glanced at, but he did and his life was coming to end soon, very soon.

He was there at the Gala, at the centre of all attention, talking to other nobles with his usual sneer. Princess Twilight was around there as well, but her friends weren't there(For obvious reasons, even Guiltless Sorrow had heard about that, even slightly impressed.)

The assassin was disguised as a noble of one of the lesser families, hard to recognised and hardly known. He had a black coat and blue eyes and a mane that was white. Sorrow had to be quick, this was meant to be a hit and run job, the target was there, he had his weapon and his partner was cruising on the edges of the crowd, waiting to intervene if something went wrong. He started moving in for the kill.

The room was dark, very, very dark, Sorrow and his partner stood in the room, anxiously waiting to here from the Patron, who was reading a file in her magical grip. She put it down, looking at the two unicorn stallions.

"There has been some recent development with in the Noble Families. The one named Prince Blueblood has crossed a line last nigh, ordering an assassination on the new Princess. I may not exactly care or like about my sisters or extended family, but their still family and family must be protected. Will you agree to undertake this mission?"

"Yes, my Patron", responded one unicorn.

"Yes, Mother", responded Guiltless Sorrow.

The mare scowled at his words, but it was a matter for another time and place.

"So be it, he will die today".

She walked out the room, readying her wings.

Present,

Clop.Clop.Clop.Clop.Clop.Clop.Clop.

Sorrow stopped just beside Blueblood, he could see the point he was going after. A structural defect in the neck of all ponies' necks, it allowed the right blade to easily slide into the victim's brain, resulting in instant death. But first he had to deliver a message.

"Excuse me sir?"

"It's Prince, and what do you want commoner?", replied Blueblood snootily.

"I have a message."

"Then say it and leave my presence."

Sorrow moved in closer and whispered into the ponies' ear.

"The Patron says hello."

The scared look on the Prince's face came to late.

SHING,

A blade burst out of the ring on this right fore leg, Sorrow's legs swung to the mark he had previously noted and his blade struck true.

The ponies around them went silent for a moment, taking in the horrendous sight as Blueblood slumped to the marble floor in a growling pool of his own blood. Then all hell broke loose.

A guard 5 meters away rushed at him, Sorrow side stepped the guard as his blade returned into the ring from which it came. The guards slip on the marble floor before regaining his balance, Sorrow pressed his advantage, swing his hoof into the muzzle of the guard. It made a cracking noise as it collided, whimpering in pain, the guard collapsed unconscious.

Ponies started screaming, running in all directions, a couple of uards rushed to Princess Twilight, pulling her away from the assassin. Other guards rushed to form a circle around him, Shinning Armour at the command.

"Stop there criminal scum!", barked Shinning Armour.

The pony in the centre grinned as his form began to fizzle and disappear. Underneath the magically sustained cover stood a sickly/pale green unicorn with a dirty brown mane, his armour was made of leather pieces strapped together by thread.

His eyes were a cruel sight to behold, with a dark colour which seemed to be unsettling, the entire guard was unsettled by this unicorn.

There was a little more shouting, to which the unicorn perked his ears up. Another pony was dragged to the hooves of Shinning Armour, bound by hoof cuffs. Shinning looked at the pony and then back at the assassin in the centre.

"Is this your accomplice?"

Sorrow didn't reply, but he wasn't grinning anymore.

"I guess so then, well hear this. If you want to live and him to also live, give yourself up now."

Sorrow thought for a moment, he didn't exactly have a choice and he had no idea what would happen if he did surrender.

"Well?"

"Yes.", sighed Sorrow.

The guards surrounding him closed in and locked him into hoof cuffs. Dragging him and his accomplice down the hall into the dungeons. His friend leaned towards his ear.

"Sorry for this, didn't expect them to get onto me so quickly."

"That's ok, we still have the contingency plan."

"Well that's fucking great."

"I don't like it either, but it's the only one we got."

Then they got hurled into a cell, the door slamming behind them.

3000 years ago,

Three alicorns stood on the balcony of the castle, overlooking the Everfree forest. One had a white coat with a multi-coloured mane, another had a black coat with a mane that portrayed the stars. The third one looked pissed, her coat was a sickly/green colour and her mane was made of pure emotion, angrily spitting out magic at random places. She was the first to speak up.

"What do you mean, give the nobles my ruling seat? Why would you come to a such a crazy conclusion Celestia! Our parents wanted us to all rule together! The nobles only care about themselves! Do you think that I am not worthy? TELL ME!"

The white one spoke up." We do not think that you are worthy, you spend to much time with our subjects. You even hold courts to help solve their problems, you even speak in their uneducated ways, our sister would agree as well."

The black one also spoke, "From now on you are not to have any contact with any other ponies apart from I, Luna or the nobles."

"THIS IS BULLSHIT!. GOODBYE, MY OLDER SISTERS." screamed the green one, taking flight, her angry mane spiting insults at the other two princess on the balcony.

Present,

The green alicorn laydown on her bed, crying , her mane displaying her emotions, depression and sadness. It wasn't vibrant, more like a dying flame.

"I miss you sisters...", mumbled the alicorn. "Why did you do this? I have a son now, did you know? Just like me, he has a fire within him for the normal ponies. But I don't accept him as my son, you know why? Because of all that I have done to him, how can he accept me for his mother after all of that?"
