That's What Friends Are For
Glider awoke with a throbbing head ache, and her left wing in searing pain. She looked around the room to see a pink earth pony stranding there. She had been crying. No, she IS crying. The earth pony's eyes were red from the tears that flowed down from them. "I'm so sorry Glide, this is all my fault!" she whispered as Glide looked around the room.
"Who are you? Where am I? Who am I? Why does my side hurt so badly?" the green pegasus asked. Jumping Berry then told to leave the room and she did as told. Nurse Redheart then entered the room and came over and gave Glider a small pill that smelled like cinnamon.
"Good Miss. Glider, your awake. You took a dangerous fall, it could have killed you! Thankfully, Miss Emerald and Miss Candy Cake brought you and your friend here in a jiffy," the white earth pony said, "please eat this pill, it will stop the pain." Glider took the pill and then looked over at the two unicorns that stood on the other side of the room.
"Who are they?" Glider pointed to the white and light red (so light it looks brown) unicorns over by the doctor.
"Just Miss Emerald and Miss Candy Cake," the nurse responded while checking Glider's wing. The orange-eyed pegasus looked around the room to the door the pink earth pony exited from.
"Who was that pink earth pony? The one with dark blue eyes?"
Nurse Redheart then almost stopped wrapping Glider's wing, but chose just tell the, OBVIOUSLY, confused pegasus. "Well that is your friend, Miss Jumping Berry. She was in a wreck ,too, her left hind leg fractured. She was able to walk quickly again, she wanted to see you. To bad it turns out you have a small case of amnesia."
"Jumping Berry......." Glider whispered to herself.
"We have Zecora out to get the herbs for the brew to get your memory back, though it may take a while. Only Celestia knows how long it may take for the zebra to find the flower needed to make it. Well, you better get some rest, you might not even need the brew." Glider then closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Jumping Berry then was told to leave the hospital. Her walk home was quiet. She regretted everything and her leg was still throbbing. Her thought were filled with hatred at herself fro letting this happen. My friend is hurt because of me! She doesn't remember anything because of me!
ITS ALL MY FAULT!
That's What Friends Are For
"Please please please please please please!" Jumping Berry asked over and over.
"No," Glider responded.
Gilder and Jumping Berry are best friends, and they were taking their daily walk through the Everfree Forest, when Berry decided to ask Glider if she could fly. Glider kept telling her how dangerous it is, but did Berry ever listen? NO! "I could seriously get you hurt! Your thick bones will make it hard for me to carry you! I'm a pegasus, I have hollow bones and the weight of you on my back will make me crash!" Berry just laughed.
"You thought I wanted to ride your back? You silly filly! I wanted to hold on to your tail!"
"What?! Are you crazy Berry?!"
"Yes! And I see you fly and I want to do it so badly! Your so lucky, you have permanent wings and can fly whenever! The only time I can fly is on a chariot, but I cant afford to rent one!" Glider stopped walking in the damp dirt she was on and thought about what her friend was proposing. She felt so bad for Berry, but would she rather make her friend sad, or have her get hurt? she didn't want either but she will have to choose to keep Berry safe. She kept walking on the hard, wet forest floor. The pink earth pony kept her head down and walked slowly. She just faked sniffed. Glider couldn't take it anymore.
"Fine."
"Really?"
"Yes."
Glider started to undo the bun her tail was in. She still thought it was a bad idea, but her friend was already bouncing around, eager for the flight to come. Once Glider's tail came loose, she started to say, "OK grab-" but she didn't get to finish, Berry already had both hooves tightly on her tail. Glider sighed and took to the air.
The weight of Jumping Berry hit her like a stampeding buffalo, making her almost crash into a tree. Thankfully, she thought fast and dove above the branch. The more she flew, the lighter Berry seemed. That didn't stop the pain from reaching her wings and flank.
Berry just looked at the scenery below them, her pupils wide in awe. She didn't speak, but Glider knew she was happy. It took everything in the pegasus not to land, not to quit on her friend. After five minutes though, Glider was getting tired and tried to think fast and land. She didn't think fast enough.
They plummeted to the ground at an alarming rate, branches from trees slapping them on there way down. Berry's pupils grew small and she shook the now unconscious pegasus. "Wake up Glide!!!!" she screamed. The earth pony tried to grab each passing branch, to no avail. The ground was approaching and Berry tried to think fast. Not fast enough.
They hit the dirt-packed ground hard. It blew the wind out of the earth pony and she tried to gasp for air, her hind leg throbbing. Glider wasn't in the best shape either, her wing looked broken from the fall damage. Berry started to cry loudly, from pain and sorrow for her unconscious friend. I shouldn't have asked, now Glide's hurt! she thought to herself. She kept crying and crying, then everything went black.
