Chapter nope I can be a filly too!
Inside the majestic walls of Canterlot’s Castle, passing by the gigantic tainted glasses of the main hallway, Twilight was arguing, trotting behind her teacher Celestia.
“I’m not your teacher anymore,” Celestia replied with a forced smile. “You’re now a princess as much as I am and you should discover the world by yourself now.”
Celestia swiveled on her hooves and gave a mother-like nudge on Twilight’s shoulder with her muzzle.
“You’re a great student,” Celestia explained with gratitude. “But now it’s your turn to go ahead. We’re your subject Princess Twilight.”
The smaller alicorn pouted as her glare threw daggers at the princess of the sun.
“But I need your advice, I assure you that I can prove that parallel universes do exist,” she groaned, massaging her temples. “You’re just avoiding the question. So I’ll repeat myself, again. Do you think it is possible?”
Celestia bit her lower lips and sighed, gathering together strong arguments.
“Or you could just confess that you’re clueless,” Twilight snickered with a pinch of amusement.
Celestia blushed, looked at the ceiling and finally smiled. After a deep breath and a short laugh she smiled back at her student.
“Seriously, with my millennium experience in magic, I don’t think this theory is…”
A loud bang echoed in the hallway, throwing Twilight and Celestia away with a shockwave. The blast tore the antic windows apart and rammed into the brickwork like a thousand stampedes. The zoom in the air took a few second to dissipate. The humming noise settled in Twilight’s ears. Shaking her head she peered an eye at where the explosion had come from.
The ground was darkened by the burst…
No it wasn’t the marble that was blackened. There was standing a strange colt, black-coated with a white stripe on his chest and a large and eerie white cutie mark above his stiff. It was the biggest cutie mark Twilight had ever seen. The colt had also a crown. Was he a prince?
“Damn, if Blueblood tried some kind of magic and got burnt… He will turn the castle into a hellhole,” Twilight spat as she sat on her hooves.
At the opposite of the room was lying Celestia, knocked out, her tongue drooling on the floor. Her eyes were wobbling back and forth in their sockets. Twilight focused on the colt, behind his back was…
“No way!” she blurted as her mouth dropped, wide open.
Behind the colt’s white mane was sprouting a pair of wings… a greenish glowing translucent pair of wings. The colt rose on his own hooves, which were pretty damn large by the way and jumped in the air.
“Yes, it works!” he cried out.
His wings carried him too far and his head met the ceiling. Leaving a crack in the architecture, he fell in front of Twilight. The princess of the sun was scowling at him with eyes betraying confusion, stupor and curiosity.
“My, my, my…” Twilight gulped, poking the unconscious creature with her hoof. “Are you alright?”
The colt shot his eyes open and glanced at Twilight. First he met her eyes, looked at her horn, her wings, her coat, her mane, and finally her crown. He bounced back on his heels and shook Twilight’s hoof.
“Hi, my name is Prince Willow, I’m a student at the Magic Royal Academy of Funtasia. I’m a prince as you know. Battiwigs be damned! You’ve got a crown too, we must be related! I tried to escape the Wizard’s spells but I got touched by the tendril, everything went white and Tadaaaaa!” he flowed out.
“I…” Twilight tried to speak before being cutting off.
“What is that place? Its name? What’s your name? I’m Prince Willow, did I tell you? I fight the bad guys that want to steal the magic from my kingdom Funtasia! And…”
Twilight rammed her hoof in this ‘Prince Willow’’s mouth. Glancing at him as if she had seen a ghost, she cleared her voice.
“Are you an alicorn? A Zebra? A changeling? Or a kind of Alibraling? You’ve got no horn, you can’t be doing magic!” Twilight questioned.
“Magic? Oh, I can do it, I know spells and stuffs, and I…”
Twilight shut him up for the second time.
“You’re in Canterlot here,” she explained, trying to remain calm. “And you knock out my teacher. I want you to apologize.”
With a shake of her head, Twilight mentioned Celestia, her waving mane sprawling on the tiled floor. Prince Willow thrust himself at her and while she was still unconscious, tried to shake her body with his constant and, it had to be said, creepy smile.
“Hi, I’m Prince Willow,” he began.
Taken aback, Twilight tried to picture this impromptu intruder. His glittering green wings spread sparkles around them. Worst, he was moving Celestia’s body with magic. Her majestic stature was moved around like a rag doll, encased in a pale green shining embrace.
“I was searching for the cupcakes of the Royal Magic Academy,” he brought forth. “They have been stolen by a monster not a long time ago.”
Twilight screwed her eyes to pinpricks, perplexed. Now she was scanning him from head to tail she remarked his fur was bizarre. It wasn’t the common flat pastel color everypony sported. No! It was more of a shiny, gleamy, whatever color and shape. It gave her an idea of… depth. Twilight blinked repeatedly, trying to cast away this impression that was overthrowing her more rooted conception about her universe. She felt like she was going to shed tears of blood. Her ears would soon too as the ‘Prince’’s voice was truly unbearable. She would have bet he was related to Prince Blueblood, or Trixie. Oh goddesses, she truly believe her head was going to explode due to the flow of paroles the colt was rabbiting. But she had first to save her teacher.
With her magic, Twilight stole Celestia from the colt’s magic grasp.
“Hey, I wasn’t over with the presentation!” He shouts nervously, still showing his wide white smile.
As if Twilight was invisible, he continued to speak to Celestia.
“I’m Prince Willow, I come from Filly Funtasia!”
“Fun?” Pinkie asked, presenting the tip of her head behind a corner of the hallway.
“Yes!” Prince Willowed answered gleefully.
“Filly… Funtasia?” Twilight added, awe stricken.
She had never heard of that name before. Yet, more than anything else, another question popped in her mind.
“You aren’t a filly though.”
“Oh I am,” he laughed back.
“No you aren’t!”
“I can be!”
“No!”
Twilight tried to back away but Prince Willow grabbed her and passed his arm over her shoulders.
“I can be!” he assured. “And since I don’t know where I am, nor where I should go, I guess you will have to share a bit of your personal space with me.”
The slithered in Twilight’s mind like a poisonous snake. Her eyes widened enormously and as she turned her raging, tired and annoyed face toward the smiling black ali-whatever colt, she chewed on her words.
“Oh no I won’t!”
A flash of purple burst out of Twilight’s horn, racing at Prince Willow. When it touched him, his body began to glow, turning into a bubble of beaming white and blasted away, leaving no trace of him except a slightly angry, confused and panting Twilight with next to her an awakening Celestia.
“Something happened?” she asked at the sight of Twilight’s reddish face.
“Nope,” she lied. “Absolutely nothing. And you know what, I think I will abandon this idea of ‘multiverse’. It’s stupid after all. It’s a theory.”
“Glad you made your own choice,” Celestia answered with a solar smile.
Celestia took a break, leaving Twilight alone in the hallway. She rubbed her hooves together.
“Or at least, I’ll make sure it will stay a theory,” she concluded with a frown.
