Chapters The sea billowed, crashed, and roared as waves fiercely pounded the boat. Water was flowing over the sides and cargo of the multiple journeys was lost to the bucking of the sea against the vessel. Stallions were thrown over the guards of the boat as it rocked in the opposing direction of the waves. The two ponies that acted as the leaders of the group stayed down in a room that was made to handle more extreme conditions in the case that its needed.
" What do we do now?," the younger, and son to the older pony asked. He had a tanish gold coat and light pink eyes that helped his grayscale rainbow main stand out. His cutie mark was a compass and map.
" We wait, and we hope," the father told his son. He had a black and green main and a tan-brown coat with extremely light pink eyes. His fathers cutie mark consisted of a map with a needle through it.
At that moment of time, the wood split, letting in hundreds of gallons of water into the safe room. Sudden impact and pressure forced the two to lose all the air in their bodies, forcing them to both black out.

Chasing had found himself lying on the what seemed like a shore line in an unfamiliar place. Sweat from the intense heat beat down on him and rolled in his eyes as the summer days took their toll into his physical ability to any kind of energy required activity. His vision blurred and blackness took over the corners of his eyes as he took his final look at the hooves of an approaching creature.

Pink lights filled Chasings mind as his vision slowly returned to him from his black slumber. " where... where am I?," he asked himself as he started to sit up. He instantly lost my balance to the bed and was flung from it unto the floor. "Ouch." pain went up his arm that he fell on." Is that a water bed?" He could feel pins and needles going up his arm which was all he needed in a time like this."Just ignore it," he told myself, he then got up from the floor and took in his surroundings. The room was pure pink, the carpet, the bed, the walls, and even the pony in the picture on the wall was pink. The dominating color was making him feel nauseous. He soon heard steps and strange yet constant thud outside the door to the room.
" Please do not scare him when we go in dear, we don't want to scare the poor boy," The fist voice was very soft and soothing at the very sound," And if he isn't awake don't wake him up, he clearly needs his sleep."
" Well of course he's awake silly I mean duh, no sleeping pony could make so much noise" The second voice was very high pitched and contained a lot of energy yet very capable of getting accustomed to.
A magic aura encased the doorknob,opening the door and allowing the two ponies outside the room in. The pink mare joyously hoped into the room first and gave Chasing an excited look while the other pony walked in slowly. She was clearly as uncomfortable with the pink as he was.
" Hi, Im Pinkie Pie, whats your name?," The pink mares words spilled out at an incredible rate and an even bigger smile covered he face. He had never seen someone capable of talking so fast.
" Um... my name is Chasing," he told Pinkie, who at the moment was eying him down, trying to take in his full composition.
" You know, you look familiar, almost like I've seen you somewhere," Pinkie said." I just can't put my hoof on it."
"Well thats strange," the other mare said " Pinkie never forgets anyone. You must have her fooled if you can pull that off."
Chasings' eyes left Pinkie and fell upon the other mare. Her mane was a very beautiful purple color that complemented her fine white coat. She was the most beautiful mare he had ever laid eyes on. " So what may your name be," he asked the second mare in a voice that clearly gave away his attraction to her
She shot him a glance having clearly caught the tone that he was carrying with his voice, which made him blush. " My name is Rarity." She then caught his eyes moving with her body. " and you best will keep you eyes of of me, Im way out of your league" Her voice carried a playful attitude that made him want to ignore the last sentence and go for it anyway.
Chasing was completely unaware of Pinkie who had her head pushed up against his stomach. " You know, you reeeeally sound hungry and I know what will take the munchies away. CAKE!," An even larger grin passed over her face and she started to squel. " I have a special flavor just for you too."
Chasing decided not to let the mare keep near his stomach and pushed her away. A small blush passed over his cheeks as he was trying to pull himself together. " Um... Ok, if you tell me where my bags are I will gladly come along.
Pinkie and Rarity shot a quick glance at each other and giggled," There on the bed silly, you slept on them all night. I mean you don't think we would separate you and your stuff do you," Pinkie was laughing insanely at this point and fell on to her back while Rarity sat back and watched while hiding a smile with her hoof.
Chasing looked over to find that his bag was indeed on the bed and took it. " I hope everything is in here," he said as he was opening the bag." There is a lot of value...," He slowly dropped his smile as he found that there was a very small amount of items in the bag compared to what there was originally." Well, there was a lot of valuables in here. I also had a far sum of money in the side pockets. Over 50 pints."( 1 pint = 100 bits)
" Over 50 pints!," Rarity squealed. " who would ever carry so much with them?" To her dismay she had found herself blushing at the sudden out lash and proceeded to cover her mouth with her hooves.
" Yes, thats relatively a small amount compared to what we have collected over the years. Me and my father adventured together and found several artifacts that were not supposed to even exist. We once heard about an artifact so old that It its self could bare enough worth to support a single family for generation. We decided that that was going to be our next adventure but reality hit my father we never took off to find it." A small look of disappointment went through Chasings' face and Rarity started to fan herself like she was overheated or being baked by the sun.
" So. Much. " Rarity started muttering to herself.
" Well thats nothing really." Chasing started to look down upon the floor," My father and I had an estimated the value of our treasures to over... thousands of pints." At that point of time, Rarities face started to brighten and stretch with the smile her face was holding."It took us years to collect it all. We started when I was around ten years old too. My mother died on one of her own adventures when I was five though." Tears were starting to form in his eyes as he dug deeper into his past for the few memories that he had of his mother. " When she died... she was after one of the most valuable artifacts to have ever existed. The thing is... after three years she never came back. When... when my father lost all hope he decided that he would never go on another adventure again. Like I said, thats the year my father lost hope and we stopped adventuring for a while.
" If that is so then how did you get here?" Rarity asked still a little embarrassed from her outburst earlier
" Ya," Pinkie exclaimed" you cleeeearly are here right now so something changed his mind about that." Pinkie still had a bright smile on her face. She almost seemed immune to any kind of sadness. It was almost as if she was taking this as some random bedside story.
Chasing looked up at pinkie and gained a glimmer of hope from her happiness, tears started rolling down his eyes as he continued in his mind with his thoughts," Well, maybe ill tell you some other time, but right now i'm hungry, so lets get a little to eat.

Chasing had started to feel better the more he ate the savory pink cake.. " You know Pinkie, I've never had cake before." Pinkie immediately spit out all the food from her mouth out.
" WHAT!," she screamed," How have you never had cake?" Pinkie stare at him was baring holes into his head as it intensified. " If you've never had cake, you have NEVER lived. Has your dad never let you live!"
Chasing was put into his thoughts by over dramaticness of Pinkie. " Nope, never had cake. The sweetest thing I've had was salt. When you live on a boat, sugar isn't something you need to have around." Pinkies jaw dropped at the latest information and she looked like she was about to break into tears " Well, since I forgot to ask you earlier, have you seen my father. If you found me he was probably pretty close by."
Pinkie was still stuck with her mouth wide open so he averted his eyes to Rarity, which of whom he was trying not to look at so he wouldn't stare. He noticed that the look she was giving him wasn't very encouraging. It was something between feeling sorry for somepony and being scared to say something. " Well... we found him."
"Oh, thats good. Where is he now," Chasing had a newfound proudness that he was going to back to his adventures so soon yet felt hazy about the look that Rarity had .
"Well he wasn't exactly... um, how do I put this, okay." Rarity was looking at the tiled floor now and was suppressing a scared look
" What do you mean by him not being okay," He asked

Rarity let out a gulping sound while trying to prepare herself to tell him. " Um... When we found him, he wasn't breathing and it was, well, oh dear," Rarity had started to sweat from the pressure that was being put onto her and looked around to find the best answer to her question. " It was to late to help him. Im sorry dear but there was nothing we could do. Please don't be mad, we honestly couldn't do anything."
Chasings' head fell to the ground as his emotions started to flow into him and new thoughts crossed his mind. He could only think of his father and the adventures that they had gone on. " Don't worry, i'm not mad. I just don't know exactly what to do now. You see, my father is the last relative I had and now, I guess it's just me."Chasing turned to the door to leave but stopped just before he left. " Do you know where I can find him."
" He is in the last building down the road, hell probably be the last pony to have been checked in." Rarity had averted her eyes to where Pinkie had been to find that the pink mare was no longer there. " They will ask you a few questions when you get there so they can give him a proper ceremony."
Chasing had already left the building and was standing out side the small bakery when he turned to shut the door. " Thanks," he called while shutting the door with just a small enough frame to see Pinkie trotting down the stairs with a large box on her head.

Chasing had been sitting by the coffin that his dad had been put for several hours at the time. He had given the lady at the front desk all the information that she had requested and had scheduled his burial ceremony to be eight days from then at the highest point of the day so he could see his father for the last time in clear daylight. It was in his last minutes of the visiting hours when a purple alicorn walked through the doors that led to the room he was in.
" Hey, my friend Pinkie here told me about your loss." The purple alicorn was about to start on a story when Chasing cut in
" You know, i'm sure she told everyone now hasn't she. It's not like I need everyone coming by to tell me their sorry. Three people have come in here and told me that they were sorry for me." The look of defeat that had stained Chasings' face was now gone and was replaced by pure anger. " How can anypony feel bad for someone that they have never meet before. It's strange that ponies can say something on place of something that they have never understood or cared to even look for or seek out. I don't like it when people come in here and say 'im sorry' when they don't even know what they are sorry for."
Guilt was now streaking Chasings face as he realized that he had gotten mad at a princess. A moment had passed by before he felt he was able to talk again. " Listen i'm sorry about what I said just now, I'd just like a little time with my father." At the very moment one of the employes of the funeral home walked.
" Visiting hours are over. Please leave soon and come back tomorrow." Her blank expression never changed even when she saw the purple alicorn standing in the room. After telling them that they needed to go she went back to the room she was in to continue what she was working on.
" Well... I am yet to introduce myself. My name is Twilight Sparkle. Who may you be." Twilight asked, clearly hoping to be answered and not yelled at.
" My name is Chasing and Im sorry I got mad at you, its just, well... my father was the last of my family besides from me."
" Well thats not a problem, it'l be like it never happened. Come along with me, I have been requested to bring you to something. If it's ok with you, this will be your new housing arrangement. I'm sure you'll love the location." Twilight let off a vibrant smile as she walked Chasing to his new housing arrangement... next to sugar cube corner.
" Yep, love the location," Chasing said sarcastically. He was frightened by what could happen to him every morning here.
-wake up to the beautiful morning
-Have a nice breakfast
-Clean up the house a little bit
Leave the house in hopes of walking into a nice sunny day... to find Pinkie waiting for him with one of those smiles that only she can let off.
" It's a really nice house, a little bit smaller then some but it'l do." Twilight was trying to make herself sound normal but was clearly letting something get the best of her. " How about you go and take a look around.
Chasing took a good look at the place saw nothing out of the ordinary so decided to go in to be greeted by streamers, ponies, balloons, and worst of all... Pinkie Pie who had clearly made a bad first impression. He didn't have time to think about how to escape when he was surrounded by Rarity, Pinkie, Twilight, a small baby dragon, and three other ponies that he was yet to meet.
I'm so glad you made it. I wanted to introduce you to alllll my bestest of friends so I decide to throw you a party." The voice of the pink mare gave him a small headache and thoughts that he probably should never have." This is Applejack."
Well howdy there partner, I'm so glad to meet you, Pinkie told me all about you," he was then brought into a furious hoof-shake the the peach colored mare.
"This is Rainbowdash."
" Yep, thats me." He was then confronted by a Rainbow mained mare." Im the fastest pegasus in all of Equestria... and i'm ohhh, I'd say a good twenty percent cooler than any pony else to."
" And this is Fluttershy."
He was greeted by a shriveling mare. " H- hi im f-f-flutershy." she slowly raised a hoof up to him to greet him and he took her own hoof into his own and shook it slowly while eyeing down the mare who was retreating back to where she originally was.
" And lets not forget spike."
A small green and purple baby dragon walked toward him without any kind of special formality or weakness. " Hi, I'm spike. I help out at the library like a second hand if you ever care to drop by." Chasing found that relief flood over him as he found that he was not the only male being at the party.
Without a notice he found the heat of another ponies muzzle pushed up against his. " So, what do you think huh." He found Pinkie even more annoying at this point than he had at any other.
Chasing had no problem showing he emotions through his face, something he shouldn't be proud of. " I think it interesting, just like you." He found himself to late to catch himself on the last line and worried that she might take that as him flirting with her, but she seemed unswayed by his remark.
" Ok everypony, it's time to PARTY." Chasing found that Pinkies muzzle had left his and she had mysteriously vanished into thin air. He found himself on a search for her but gave up just as quickly as Pinkie had disappeared. Chasing merely shrugged it off and went to find Rainbow Dash.
"You said that you were the fastest flyer in all of Equestria didn't you?" Chasing gave her the most challenging look he could muster and tried to forget about his father for the time being.
" You know it. I've never been out flown." Rainbow Dash had pure pride covering her head as she marveled at her own wing strength.
"Well then, what your highest wing power."
" My wing power rests at a outstanding sixteen point five."
" Ha, thats nothing. I once got to twenty three point six." Chasing now took his own turn to marvel at his own wings.
" That's impossible. No one could ever fly like that. I refuse to believe you." Rainbow Turned away from Chasing and went to cradling her own wings.
The other five ponies and spike were starting to gather around them to inspect on what was making such a commotion. " If you don't believe me, how about a friendly race?" Chasing gave her a challenging glare and Rainbow knew she could not back out of such a race.
" Fine, lets do this but don't go crying when I beat you." Rainbow was full of confidence and wore it proudly in the face of her opponent.
"It'l be tomorrow at noon."
"I'm totally good with that."
THE NEXT DAY AT NOON
Rainbow Dash and Chasing were already at the starting line when the sun reached the peak and both were looking for a challenge to put there day in a good swing. " You ready to get this started Rainbow.?" Chasing had challenge written all over him and his body tensed as the start of the race got closer.
" You know I am," Rainbow Dash was showing off her strong yet elegant wings to all those who were watching the two challenge each other.
" I guess I can't blame your form, it's all wrong, you have your wings tucked in for the best speed." Chasing was writing innocence and Rainbow saw it as a trick to get her to lose and was going to say something when she heard spike and pinkie calling off the rules.
" Remember the rules and play fair you guys." Pinkies voice was somehow more annoying through the speaker as it added to her high pitched rumblings.
" Here are the rules to the race,"
Spike is talking, thank everypony for the forgiveness of what I did wrong
" This challenge was made last night so by Ponyville guide lines we will have a capture the flag like game.It's as easy as get to the cloud first pull a flag and get it back to the finnish line and you win."
Memories of what happened last night flowed into him and with along those memories came the words that he said to Pinkie.
I think it interesting, just like you. Those words stained would stain his mind as long as he never took them back.
"There will be no pushing, kicking, horse play, or spitting." Spike sunk back into the ballon he was riding in and made a quick comment to Pinkie. " Did you here me, I said horse play." He returned to his post to see that all the ponies that had gathered around were staring at him." Well, lets get this started. Three... two... one... GOOOOOOOO!"
Rainbow Dash was off the ground in an instant flying at speeds that most Pegasi could only dream of going. To her dismay, she found that Chasing was yet to even take off but was instead running along the ground." HA, another easy win in the bag."
Chasing found himself thinking about the last night before. ...and so I say, ' I find it interesting, just like you' well perhaps, just maybe, I was flirting with her. It was at that instant when he opened up his wings to the crowd that was watching with disappointed glares. The looks on their faces when they saw them...
" Don't be so sure Rainbow Dash,"Those were the only words she heard before a gold swash went past her at speeds even she couldn't muster. It took what seemed like ages to her before she even heard the sound he made; Even at his speed she could barely hear it the small whistle that his wings made. Before she could even process what had gone down just seconds earlier another flash of gold with a little red went the opposite direction.
" AND CHASING IS OUR WINNER!" Pinkie and spike called in unison seconds after he had landed. Chasing merely took a seat on the ground and waited for something to happen. When Rainbow Dash landed she looked angry, sad, confused, and many other things at the same time.
" H-H-how did you fly so fast! That doesn't make any sense!? How are you wings so big? How didn't you do a sonic rain-boom? Who taught you? Can you teach me? When rainbow finally stopped asking questions she let of a blush while realizing how uncomposed she was and started to try and gain back her normal unimpressed self. " Well, that was good but it wasn't awesome."
" OK, whatever you say Rainbow. For now though I think you, and only you, deserve to know. Lets start how did I fly so fast. Well lets see, my wings are huge..." Chasing unfolded his wings for her to see and she just stared at them... mesmerized. "...If you hadn't noticed and besides from that, I got a decent start. Not my best but decent." Chasing was now retracting his wings and found that the whole pegasi part of the crowd was watching while the other ponies looked at them in confusion. To his consent he also found that Rainbow dash was staring as will. " I was taught by my father, unfortunately he's gone and hadn't been able to teach me every thing. I know how to find out what he was yet to teach me but he made me promise that I would never go that route unless something big happened. Can I teach you. No, thats a family secret and is only told to others under certain circumstances that they gain entrance into the family or are dubbed worthy of knowing which is extremely rare. Like rarer that a new princess in the kingdom rare.
He shot a face at twilight which of whom was to busy comparing his wings to hers to notice. " And for your last question. I didn't do a sonic rain-boom because I was going to fast," his last answer may have been the simplest but he was so proud he didn't care." Unless you have some way of obtaining knowledge that you want to know, you may never know how to do what I know how to do."
Rainbow Dash soon shook of her daze and decided to ask another few question which were surprisingly unexpected. " How are your wings so big and how are they so strong?" Rainbow took the time to noticed that the ballon Pinkie was in was still in the air so she didn't expect to be interrupted.
Chasing took a little time to think about this but finally gave her an answer. " I don't know how there so big, probably runs in the family." At that moment Pinkie showed up right next to Chasing with a wild smile and a new, yet wicked, hair dew.
"WowIveneverseenanyponygosofastyouseemyhairyoudidthatthatwassocoolcanyoudoitagainyouwereallvromvromandthenyouranandIwasalllikehesnotflyingheruninngthatsillyguyisgoingtolossthenyouwereallwhoshandthenyouwon!"(Wow I've never seen anypony go so fast.You see my hair you did that.That was so cool. Can you do it again? You were all vroom vroom and then you ran and I was all like he's not flying he's running that silly guy is going to lose then you were all whoosh and then you won!)
"Yeah, um Pinkie, I was talking to Rainbow dash here soooo yeah" Chasing waited for the mare to take his hint and leave but she sat there and watched. " Pinkie that means that I want to talk to her." Pinkie still sat there without seeming to understanding what he was asking her." That means alone pinkie, this isn't something that I want everypony to hear."When she still didn't seem to understand what he was asking her, he took a little peak at Rainbow Dash to tell her that he wanted her to do somthing.
" Um, dude, she gone, she left when you looked over here." Rainbow Dash was about to break out in laughter since she was indeed correct and Pinkie was no longer where she was.
" What, where did she go?" Chasing was dumbfounded at her sudden disappearance and at how fast she could leave.
" I don't know. She never does anything when in plain sight but if no ones looking, she can basically go anywhere. I doubt even she knows how she does it." Rainbow Dash didn't even bother to look around. She just watched Chasing do it on his own." Ya, you probably wont find her, now what was so personal that you had to tell me alone?"
"Um, I guess it wasn't very personal but still not something I want everypony to hear." Chasing took a little time to look into his past on what he did that led his wings to being so strong." My wings are strong because I fly against storms before me and my dad would go on an adventure. Really gets you goin' " He again unfolded his wings and watch as the crowd, that was for some reason still there, and Rainbow Dash follow his wings." If you want, I can take you out sometime and show you how to fly into big storms safely." Chasing was flapping his wings at the crowd that was now making inaudible sounds of aw from his wings.
" Ya, i'd really like to do that sometime," Rainbow Dash was no sitting tall and proud at her small achievement of being liked by Chasing.
"Well, I got to go and hit the hey, all races end with a good nap in the park. I think its time to put my babies up before somepony gets any ideas. I think i'll see you around Rainbow." Rainbow Dashes' eyes had averted back to Chasing as his wings folded back to his body.
" Ya,ya whatever you say... Wait, I take naps in the park like, everyday. Thats my spot."
" Well then, maybe we can share a tree" Chasing had already started to fly away from where he was at with rainbow when about half way to the park reality hit him
WHAT DID I JUST SAY!? IS THIS WHAT IM GOING TO DO TO EVERY FEMALE PONY IN PONYVILLE BY THE TIME IM DONE HERE?
" I hope she didn't take that to heart"
Solution to all that pains you
Chasing was aroused soon after he started nap by a cranky Rainbow Mained pegasus poking at his sides. " Hey, whats the big deal, this is my tree, go find your own."Chasing didn't find the prodding to his pleasure and gave her a glare that could kill a cockatrice.
" Stop that, i'm sore all over from that race that, may I reming you, that I just won," he found himself swatting at Rainbow Dash, trying to get her to stop.
" Um, no, this is my tree. I sleep here everyday." Rainbow had stopped poking him but was still at Chasings side. " And if your SOOOO sore why don't you go and see Fluttershy. She probably has something that can help you with that."
" Na, i'm good, ill just sleep it off... right here." Chasing had a wide grin cover the majority of his head at this time and was back at his nap.
" Oh no your not" Rainbow was now up against him, pushing him with all her might. To her satisfaction she soon heard a loud thump and the grumbles of a pegasus that had just fallen from his position on the tree. " thanks for getting up... oh well I guess it's down in this case."
" OW, now I really hurt." Chasing found himself rubbing his back, down his spine where it hurt the most." Where is Fluttershys house?"
"Just walk down that trail and you'll get there eventually." Chasing looked off to where she was pointing and swore that she started giggling as soon as he started walking off.
" That pegasus is going to be the death of me."

The sky was a dense blue with scattered clouds. The sun was starting to fall and cast a light through the trees that set the surrounding to a golden crisp. The fields around Fluttershy's cottage had started to cool down as the sun started to set and the birds and creatures of the forest started to find there ways to there homes.
Chasing had found the aloe that Fluttershy had used to be very soothing on his wings. He couldn't fly very well with it on them but could still transport himself around to the areas that he needed to be.
" You know, this stuff really works but its incredibly cold," Chasing found himself staring at Fluttershy through a scrounged face. He found himself studying her body while she wasn't looking and took note of her elegance.
" Oh yes, my mother taught me how to make it years ago when I was just a filly. I had the same problem with it when she used it to help me when I heart myself trying to fly."
" How old were you when you learned to fly?"
" I was just a little bit younger that Scootaloo. Why do you ask?"
"I'm just curious. You know, i'm feeling much better and I think that there is something that I should do for you."
" Oh, no thanks, I couldn't possibly ask for you help, it's..."
"No, you did something for me, so I will do something for you."
"There is nothing that I need you to do Chasing..."
"There has got to be something."
An extended silence passed over the two as Fluttershy thought over her decisions." Well, I guess you could watch the animals while I make some more of the lotion."
Chasing to a minute to think over it and took a look around to see how many were about." Ya sure, doesn't seem to hard."
" Ok, just be careful."

When Fluttershy came back she found Chasing in the same spot that she had left him. The strange thing was that angel bunny was over with him and he seemed to be communicating with him. It even seemed that Angel liked him.
" Wow, I've never seen anypony to do well with Angel before" Flutter shy said while walking up to Chasing."He usually is mean to anypony but me."
Chasing looked over at Fluttershy with a wide eyed look and said " Well, maybe he sees something in me that he doesn't"
THUMP
"Ow angel, what was that for?" Chasing was rubbing the side of his neck where Angel had kicked him. He only replied with crossed arms and a smirk on his face. " Guess your not what I thought you were." Angel had started to hop away before anything else could happen in case Chasing might retaliate.
" It's ok, I don't know how to describe that. Angel has never been nice to anypony but me." Fluttershy had started to look off in the distance to where Angle had hoped of to only to see nothing but the fields. " I brought some more of the lotion. Just let me put it on and you will be good to go."
"Thanks Fluttershy, I don't know what I would do without... hey, hey that tickles, cut that out." Fluttershy was observing the tips of his wings as she applied the gel like substance to them.
" Oh, i'm so sorry, please don't be mad at me, I didn't mean to." Fluttershy had retracted to herself as she was talking and was now curled up and teary eyed.
" Fluttershy, i'm not mad at you, and there is no reason to be scared. Im not going to hurt you. Listen, its ok, just don't touch the tips... there very sensitive."

After several hours of time with Fluttershy, Chasing found that it was time to leave and hopefully find some food. " Well Fluttershy, thanks for the help and all, but it's getting late so I should probably be moving along. I would stay a little longer but laying here in the sunset would make me feel really awkward.
Fluttershy looked up at him and sounded very upset with what he had just said." Im sorry, I didn't mean to make things happen between us, how about I make it up to you and make you dinner... if thats ok with you."
"Fluttershy, its ok. You didn't make anything awkward or strange in anyway but you making me dinner while it's like this would be weird in that kind of way though, anyhow, I couldn't ask anymore of you since you have done so much for me. If anypony is to be done a favor for is for you from me. Don't mistake me but no, it's not ok for you to make me dinner tonight." Fluttershys look was almost heart breaking from the last comment. " Like I said." Chasing had noticed the look Fluttershy had and was trying to make her feel better. " I should be doing you a favor, how about I come over some day and show you a few things that I have learned over the years of piloting the seas, it could really help you in the case something bad ever happens."
Fluttershy was now only staring at the ground at her feet and looked as if she was about to start crying. " Listen, i've got to go but remember, you did nothing wrong."
1st person
I later found myself wondering the streets of ponyville, hoping to find a nice place to get something to munch on. It's to late for a meal but not to late for a mid night snack. The fist place that struck home with me was the bakery. Sugar cube corner. Isn't that where Pinkie lives? I found myself thinking. Ah I can risk an encounter with her this once. If i'm lucky, she might already be in bed, gaining that abundance of energy for tomorrow.
It was at the front doorstep that I had begun and reconsider this encounter for a cupcake or something. Was it worth it? Ah, its worth trying since i've never had a cupcake before. It can't be much better than that cake, that was good. Yep, i'm going in.
The silence inside kind of scared me. Maybe it's closed. I felt like I should yell out to see if anypony was home but consulted only to looking around. Stairs were anything to my avail that looked to be able and take me anywhere so I decided to take a look. Everything was dark upstairs as well. Except for a small sounds coming from one of the rooms. There was crying and what sounded like hurried steps of some pony running around. My steps forward were very hasty and cautious. I was at the door when I could hear everything completely. " Come on guys, don't make me do this. You know what happens when you mix flour and water." Flour and water. I guess she's in some sort of upstairs baking room.
" Hey, everything ok in..." Nothing else left my mouth except a stifled laugh as I saw what was happening in the room. I found that it was a bathroom and there were two foals in the tub. One a filly and one a colt. All I could do was stare at the unexpected children as new found thoughts started crossing my mind. " Y-y-you have children!?," My eyes had gone wide and my pupils dilated as if I was scared.
"What?"
I moved to the colt and gently rubbed it's head with my hoof. He started giggling. " Who's there father," my gaze had drifted off in Pinkies direction as she made no movements. " And what are you covered in."
Pinkies eyes were the only part of her body besides the upper length of her forhooves that could be seen. " There father is Mister Cake."
"You had an affair with Mister Cake and Ms. Cake is still letting you live with them!?" My brows had creased to show the questioning glare that I was offering her.
" Oh no silly, i'm babysitting the Cakes children, and i'm covered in dough." She let out a laugh that probably would have been annoying had she not been encased by the hardening substance.
" Do you need help?"
" YES, that would be amazing," Pinkie eyes suddenly went wide with plea.
" What do you want me to do?" I gave himself a proud and determined smile.
" Just watch those two while I clean up."
"Ok, this should be easy." I had started to move his head to greet the foals when he turned back to Pinkie." Do you need help getting out of that cast?"
" No, just take them to the room across the hall and every thing will be taken care of."
I had entered the next room and to his surprise found Pinkie already had been in there readying toys for the foal to play with. " How did you get in here so fast!?" I knew that with the two foals manes in my mouth that my words sounded weird but was sure they were understandable.
" I don't know, you tell me. Wait, you probably can't cause even I don't know. Oh silly me." Pinkie started to giggle but soon started to uncontrollably laugh. What I would usually find to be annoying, I started to instead find... pleasing. " Hey, since your here, let me do something for you in return. What can I get you?"
I felt a weird sensation go down my spine and instantly knew what was happening. " I wouldn't mind some muffins. Enough for two ponies."
"Ewwww," Pinkie exclaimed," Who do you plan on sharing them with?" Pinkie had gotten into a formation that showed how curious, and possibly something else that I couldn't tell, she was.
" I don't know, I guess ill find out when I get there." my face scrunched up clearly showing how urgent it was that I be leaving.
" Well, tell me all about it when you see me again." Pinkie looked incredibly excited about learning all about what chasing was going to do.
" Ok, I will if I think that it won't harm anything. But please, this might be very urgent."
"Okie dokie loki."
Pinkie went down to the kitchen of the bakery to get the muffins.

I could feel the soothing softness of the cloud that I was on. It may be cold outside since it was in the winter months but I was fine with the chill touching my skin. I had a box of muffins next to me and my cloud was large enough for two people to lay comfortably lay on. The softness of the cloud easily matched any fine clothing that I had ever worn. Maybe I should wear clouds. That would be plenty comfortable. I was stretching out, standing on my hind legs when I saw a grey and blonde flash from the corner of my eye. Oh dear, this is going to hurt.
She crashed into me with extreme force making my wings shot forward from the lag in time to bring them with me. My wings clutched to the nearest things to them which was, of all things, her. A blush passed both of our faces and I brought my wings back to my own sides.
" What's the rush, you act as if you had to tell me something this instant about some alternate universe that you just came back from and had entered from a strange machine called a Television that took you to the same place that you are normally in but slightly different and had to go through a magical pool that ended up leading you back to your correct reality."Derpy had looked astonished at the moment and her thoughts nearly drove her crazy. " How did you know!?"
I looked down at my hooves and was instantly reminded that Derpy was still on top of me. " I've seen it before. Don't worry though, its was just a small anomaly that occurs naturally in nature. It's technically a dream but it also happened in other realities."
Derpy looks now couldn't be described because of a mixture of her face and eyes. " And your eyes, there a clear sign to anyone that sees them. Only a select few can experience it. Done it twice now. Took me days to get out of the first one but only minutes to get out of the second." I was now staring back at derpy, who may I remind you was still on top of me, only to be greeted by the same look from moments ago. " It's just a dream, don't put to much thought into it. You want some muffins Derpy?"
Her look instantly changed to something among the line of happy and being ecstatic. " YAY, muffins."
Maybe this is the sudden urge for muffins that I had even thought I had never had any before.
Me and Derpy decided to get back together the next day to discuss what exactly happened to her. Through all the things that had happened that day, she's doing pretty well for somepony who has never crossed dimensions before. Most ponies would continuously ask question after question but Derpy seems to be able to work more effectively when muffins are around. Ill have to keep that in mind. In the time being, I may as well get some sleep.
....
The next day when I woke up, I found one of my old satchels next to me on the cloud. " How did this get here." Ideas started running through my mind when the obvious occurred to me. " I'll just see if Rarity has some sort of spell that can track its path. Now, time to got find Rarity.
The air seemed strange today. Under all my feathers there was a strange cooling feeling that sent a shiver down my spine. Something was off but I just couldn't figure it out. I guess it's just something that'll show itself to me later.
I arrived at the boutique but to my avail found that no pony was there. Come to think of it, I didn't see anypony at all. This can only mean a few things. Everypony left sometime during the night for some reason that i'm not aware of or... i'm in a dream.
It was at that moment when I heard a small thumping sound go across the ceiling. I could hear it go from left to right and back to it's original spot. " Um, is there anyone home?" I yelled out.
I instantly was responded to by a very familiar voice. " Just on minute." It was almost sung out. The thumping in the ceiling soon returned but quickly moved to the stairs that led down to the base floor. " What can I do for you?" Her voice was angelic as always.
Quick relief flooded over me as I realized that I was not stuck in some strange dream "By any chance, do you know some spell that might be able to track whoever brought me my satchel. I thought it was gone but apparently somepony found it.
" Oh sorry dear, I don't know any spell that can do that but your next best bet would be with Twilight. She lives in the library. And, did you look inside the bag, there might be some clue about what it was in there." A twisted look of sorrow crossed her face as she was talking.
I never even thought to see if there was some note in the bag. " I can't believe I didn't think to do that." In the bag I found two things. A note and a small heart shaped box. The box was full of fine chocolates that looked very expensive. The note was rather short but it was on a small piece of paper.
This is to the stallion I love.
I didn't notice you when you first came to town but when you had that race with Rainbow Dash. I have been observing you for reasons that I was never sure until then and I hope that you have noticed me. From the small amount of time I have had with you, I have come to reason that you are the one. I know I will be seeing you soon.

"Oh, she's been watching you. Seems like you have a stocker." The way Rarity said that made me feel really weird to the stomach.
"Well then, I feel bad now." Rarity gave me a strange begging look that seemed off for her.
" Why do you say that?"
"Because, I haven't noticed anypony in a way past a strong friendship here in ponyville. Hell, I don't even know what love feels like. I've spent my life on a boat full of other guys."
" Oh, wow"
"Ya"
" How do you plan on fixing that?"
" I don't, I trust it will fix itself after a while." I took a little time to think about the things that might go on then to what was at hand, " Im going to go take a look at the library and see if Twilight knows anything about a tracking spell.

I was at the door to the library when realization hit me. Spike also lives here. Finally, in this female dominated world, I can talk to a guy. At that very moment the door swung open and I was grabbed by some purple force field that took me inside the tree. " Oh, magic"
" Yes," I suddenly found myself in one of the lower rooms of the tree. Probably a basement. " Listen Chasing, I have been wondering if I could run a few tests on you." Twilight had come into view and looked as if she had gone crazy. Most likely wondering about my wings. " Your wings have miss proved every thing I knew about pegasi anatomy. Yep " All I need you to do is put you hoofs on those two little slots on that machine over there and i'll do the rest." Twilight was pointing over to a machine that stood about as half as tall as me and looked quite intimidating.
" Would it be better just to tell you why my wings are so big?" Chasing gave her a deadpan look. " Besides, i'm not planning on staying here long, I would like you to help me find out who ever brought me my satchel."
"YES, tell me why your wings are so big and I will do a spell that will show you to it's last few locations." Twilights eyes were now twitching with anticipation that gave her her own unique crazy look.
" It's a genetic mutation. Over all the years of my family roaming the seas, our wings have been getting larger to we can fly into harsher weather easily. Probably a dominant trait that nature has gifted us with to cope with her. Now about that spell?"
"Oh, yes. Just give me a minute and I will be able to tell you it's last few locations." Twilight with all her abilities in magic had a hard time even with this spell. After having a lack of sleep and an inability to concentrate had left her struggling to pull off a simple spell such as so. " Sorry Chasing, I can't do it. I don't have enough magic left in me to pull it off."
"No problem. I have to go meet Derpy any way. I'm helping her cope with a few issues that are more personal than she thinks."
"Like what?"
" Nothing that you need to worry about" I will admit, I did sound a little angry at her since she was being slightly nosy about Derpy's personal life but then again, I probably shouldn't have said anything about them in the first place. " Im going to meet her a sugar cube corner in about an hour." That was a lie, it was more like fifteen minutes. " I had better be going. There are other things that I need to attend to." Another lie. " I must be going" With that I quickly ran out the door and too to the air in pursuit of sugar cube corner.
Once I had found myself at sugar cube corner I had ordered another box of muffins for Derpy and was happy to find that Pinkie wasn't at the front counter. When I started to look for a good place to sit I was fortunate enough to find the Derpy was already here and gave her the box of muffins. She instantly let out a silent squeal and opened up the box of assorted muffins. " Hello Derpy, how has you day been."
" It was terrible," she held up one of her wings and showed that it was wrapped in bandages. " I hurt myself while I was out looking around for things."
"What were you looking for?"
"Nothing specific. Just anything that might fit the description."
"Description of what?" I was giving her a questioning glare when she started to look at the lower part of my body. I couldn't tell exactly where she was looking because of her eyes but i'm sure it had to do with my satchel. My question was answered when she pointed a hoof at it. " So you were the one who brought it to me. I couldn't be more thankful Derpy."
A small blush appeared over her face and she slowly started to look down almost like she was disappointed.I wasn't sure of what she was blushing about but my brain started clicking when I got it. " You hid the letter in there didn't you?"
