The Elements of Harmony: A Grimdark Fanfiction
A perfect world
That was what Twilight wanted. She wanted that more than anything else. She just needed to make it happen. Twilight knew she had that ability, after all her specialty was magic. She had read many books on very advanced magic in the past several weeks, and now she thought she would be ready. Now it was time to pay her friends a visit. She told Spike to stay behind and look after the Library while she was gone.
Twilight left her Library and trotted outside. She started down the road towards Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack would be in the orchard, Twilight knew it. Now she was about to make life easier for Applejack. She walked through the orchard towards her best friend A.J. She smiled as she made eye contact with Applejack, but the Earth Pony could see a glimmer of excitement in her friend's eyes. She was curious to know what Twilight Sparkle could have in mind, and the young unicorn smiled.
"Applejack, how are you? Good day of apple bucking?" Twilight asked.
"Yep, just need to get a couple...hundred more barrels before dawn," she replied.
Applejack sighed and looked at all the trees that were yet to be bucked. She had a lot of work ahead of her. Applejack looked back to her friend, who was still smiling brightly at her. The earth pony started to find that a little creepy.
Twilight Sparkle giggled and said, "Well I know a new spell that might help you. It's a growth spell, and it will give you the equivalent of a dozen apples per apple! Want to see it?"
Now Applejack was even more curious. "Yeah, I do," she said.
"All right, here I go!"
Twilight turned towards all the apple trees. Her horn began to glow a purple aura, and soon that same aura enveloped every single apple tree in the orchard. The trees began to shake as each apple started increasing in size. They grew and grew until they were about the size of carriages. Applejack's eyes widened in surprise as the trees started to bend over, the wood snapping from the weight of each apple. The tree right behind her began shaking, and she looked up in horror as the tree began to fall towards her.
One apple fell, and Twilight Sparkle quickly leaped out of the way to avoid the projectile. There was a loud splat! Twilight turned towards her friend, who was now a flattened bloody mess underneath the apple. The weight of the apple had forced her eyeballs to be catapulted out of her sockets, and they lay a few inches away from her nose.
"Oops," said Twilight with a giggle. "Well at least this will be enough to supply Ponyville for the next 100 years."
She decided Big Macintosh would be able to clean up the mess, and left the dead Applejack for him to find. She left the Orchard and headed back into Ponyville. She searched the skies for her friend Rainbow Dash, and sure enough the cyan pegasus could be seen zooming through the air while busting clouds. Twilight smiled and called out for her friend to come down.
"Hey, Rainbow Dash! Come down, I want to show you something!" she called up.
Rainbow Dash looked down and saw Twilight Sparkle calling for her. She flew down and landed in front of Twilight. Rainbow noticed her friend had a certain gleam in her eye, as if she was excited about something. Whatever it was that she wanted to show her, Rainbow knew it had to be good.
"Sure thing, Twilight. What's up?" Rainbow asked.
Twilight Sparkle smiled, feeling giddy. "Come with me to the Library! Hurry!"
Twilight turned and started heading to the Library. Rainbow Dash followed, hoping it wasn't some new book the egghead wanted her to read. She went into the Library and followed Twilight through a door. She was led down to one of the lower levels of the Library, and soon she could hear the sound of screeching and growling. Twilight went to the door and opened it, stepping to the side so Rainbow Dash could enter. The blue pegasus gulped and walked into the room. Twilight went in after her, grinning madly.
In the room were hundreds of cages, all containing familiar skeletal horses with empty eyes. As soon as they saw their mistress come in, they began howling in rage. They started rattling their cages violently, eager to get their hooves on the mare who had trapped them. Rainbow Dash's eyes widened in horror.
"Changelings?!" Rainbow Dash turned to Twilight, who was standing calmly beside her. "Twilight, why do you have Changelings here? We have to get rid of them! They're dangerous!"
"Don't be silly, Rainbow," said Twilight, still smiling. "I've placed them under a spell where they will only answer to one call. The call of their new mistress, which would be you."
"M-mistress?" Rainbow Dash stammered. She thought this was very creepy, and she wanted to get away. "Twilight, I'm not so sure this is such a good idea. What is this for anyway?"
"You're the best flier in all of Equestria, Rainbow Dash," Twilight explained. "I did some testing and I realized that the pony a changeling transforms into will still retain all their unique qualities. Here you have a whole army of the fastest fliers in Equestria, and you can use this to clear the skies much faster. They'll have to be trained first, of course. I decided I would leave the training to you."
Rainbow Dash looked back at the changelings and shuddered. Twilight gave a nod to the changelings and they all started transforming into Rainbow Dashes. The fake Rainbow Dashes smiled wickedly at the real Rainbow, and she looked at Twilight in surprise. Twilight kept smiling, however. She concentrated and her horn began to glow. All the cages were enveloped in a purple aura and Rainbow could hear them being unlocked. The changelings left their cages, relishing their new found freedom. They all gathered around Rainbow Dash, and she looked to Twilight for help. However, Twilight Sparkle was gone.
Twilight had left the room, locking the door behind her. The screams of pain reached her ears, and she smiled. Things were going very well. There were just three more ponies to go. She left the Library and headed to Sugar Cube Corner to visit her good friend Pinkie Pie.
Twilight Sparkle found the pink baker in the kitchen. She was of course in the middle of making cupcakes. Pinkie Pie brightened up when she saw Twilight, and bounced over to her. Pinkie paused when she saw that Twilight had sort of a mad look in her eyes, and a huge grin was spread upon her face. However, she didn't suspect anything was wrong. She just assumed that meant her friend was very happy.
"Hey Twilight!" she said excitedly. "Wanna help me make cupcakes?"
"No thank you Pinkie," said Twilight, breaking her broad grin so she could speak. "You see, I'm working on making a perfect world. And a perfect world includes living in perfect health. All these sweets are very bad for you. Sweets make you fat. I can't have fat ponies in my perfect world."
"Um, what do you mean Twilight?" Pinkie Pie asked, feeling a little nervous now.
Twilight just smiled and used her magic to levitate the pink party pony in the air. She removed Pinkie's mouth from her so she wouldn't scream. Pinkie Pie flailed in midair, very scared now. Twilight looked around for some rope she could tie Pinkie Pie up with. She sighed in disappointment when she didn't find any. Twilight looked at Pinkie Pie closely.
"Nod for yes, shake your head for no. Do you have a cellar?" Twilight asked.
Pinkie nodded, knowing there wasn't much else she could do. Twilight smiled widely and took Pinkie Pie to a door which led down to the cellar. She carried her friend down using her magic, and when she reached the cellar, Twilight giggled gleefully.
"Oh this is perfect!" Twilight exclaimed.
She galloped over to the metal table with chains on it. She immediately bound each of Pinkie Pie's legs with a chain and tied her down on the table. Twilight saw a hacksaw in the corner and retrieved it with her magic. She levitated the hacksaw over Pinkie Pie, who whimpered in fear. Twilight brought the saw down and sliced off Pinkie's head. Blood splattered out from the pink throat, landing on her face. Pinkie Pie was only able to make a muffled scream for one second before the scream was cut off, as well as her life.
"Much better," said Twilight.
She found a cloth and wiped the blood off of her face. She looked at her dead friend and smiled, glad that she had one less pony in her way towards a perfect world. Twilight Sparkle would take care of the Cakes a little bit later, as well as Doughnut Joe and other bakers around Ponyville. First, she needed to pay two more ponies each a visit.
Twilight left the Sugar Cube Corner and headed off to the Carousel Boutique. Rarity was a key element in the journey to making a perfect world. After all, she always made her designs absolute perfection. Twilight just wanted more.
She walked into the Boutique and looked around for Rarity. She found Rarity in her inspiration room, using one of the mannequins as a model for her latest outfit. Rarity heard Twilight come in and turned. She smiled when she saw Twilight, but it faltered when she saw the slightly insane glee in the lavender unicorn's eyes. She had a feeling that something was wrong, and Rarity voiced her thoughts.
"Twilight, darling, are you all right?" she asked, looking worried.
"Oh I'm perfectly fine!" said Twilight, speaking in an almost high pitched voice. "I just wanted to show you a new spell that I learned recently!"
"Oh...how lovely," said Rarity, trying to sound eager. "Show me?"
Twilight nodded and looked at the dozen mannequins in the room. Her horn started glowing and the mannequins became enveloped in a purple aura. The mannequins started to move, and they hopped off their stands and started to prance around. Rarity smiled, rather impressed.
"It's a come to life spell," Twilight explained. "Not only that, but I've made them sentient. They're just like you Rarity. They're experts in fashion, and share the same tastes as you. Your clothing line production will be made 100% faster! However, since you're the original, you will need to be a model for them." Twilight turned towards Rarity as she said this last line.
"What do you mean?" Rarity asked.
"Relax, this won't hurt at all!" said Twilight with a smile.
She walked to her friend and pressed her horn against Rarity's. Rarity cried out as she felt her body begin to harden. It literally hardened, her legs and head became heavy, her hooves became heavy, and she found it more difficult to breathe. Twilight concentrated and soon the light in Rarity's eyes began to fade. Her body turned cold and her fur took on a shine, which made her look more like a porcelain doll. Rarity became very still, her mind was shut down and her heart had stopped beating.
"Perfect," said Twilight, stepping back. Now the mannequins had their own model, and everypony would look much better in her perfect world. "Now, last but not least, Fluttershy," said Twilight to herself.
Twilight left the Boutique so the mannequins could get to work. She trotted down the road to Fluttershy's cottage. She approached the front door and knocked. Twilight waited patiently until Fluttershy came to answer the door. Fluttershy smiled when she saw her friend Twilight Sparkle. Then her smile faded when Twilight spoke.
"Hello Fluttershy!" she said in a high pitched tone of voice.
Twilight walked forward, making Fluttershy move back into her house. Fluttershy whimpered when Twilight started giggling insanely.
"Tw-Twilight...are you okay?" Fluttershy asked in a soft but scared voice.
"I'm fantastic!" said Twilight Sparkle. "I just need to get rid of you. I only want perfect pegasi in my perfect world, and you are an imperfect pegasi. You can't even fly properly!"
"Oh..I'm sorry.." Fluttershy squeaked.
"Apologies won't work, sweetie. It's time for you to go!"
Twilight concentrated and a purple aura enveloped Fluttershy. Twilight levitated her friend up into the air, grinning madly. Fluttershy started struggling, trying desperately to break free. Twilight Sparkle ignored her anguished cries and focused on ending the cream colored pegasus's life.
Fluttershy felt her lungs tighten, and her throat began to close up. She was suffocating! Twilight smiled and continued to crush Fluttershy's insides. She could hear popping sounds as her bones cracked and fell out of their sockets. Twilight concentrated even harder, focusing on Fluttershy's brain. The pegasus let out an ear splitting scream as her brain exploded inside of her skull. Her eyes and ears began to bleed red, and blood streamed down her flank and onto the floor underneath her. Twilight dropped the pegasus, smiling.
Her quest for a perfect world wasn't over yet. First she needed to purge the flaws in Ponyville, and then clean up all of Equestria. Twilight headed home to her Library, for she would need Spike's help.
The Elements of Harmony: A Grimdark Fanfiction
Applejack was exhausted after a long day working on the farm. She was even more exhausted after having to clean up after the mess the Cutie Mark Crusaders had made. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo had attempted to get their cutie marks in cow herding. The three of them had dressed up in a dragon costume and frightened the cows. Applejack had been taking a quick power nap when she was woken by the sound of dozens of hooves against the earth.
"What in the hay?" she had muttered, opening her eyes and running out of the barn.
She saw the Cutie Mark Crusaders all running and screaming as a herd of cows went after them. To make matters worse, the Crusaders had led the cows towards the barn. Applejack could only get out of harm's way in time before the cows plowed through the barn. After the barn had collapsed, Applejack was furious. She punished the three filies by telling them they had to help Big Macintosh re-raise the barn tomorrow. Then she and Winona had to go round up all the cows and bring them back to the farm.
Applejack planned on giving Applebloom a firm tongue lashing later that evening, but first she was in need of a break, and she had really worked up an appetite. So she left Sweet Apple Acres and headed to Sugar Cube Corner for a bite to eat. Applejack trotted inside and walked up to the front counter. She ordered a dozen cupcakes and sat down at a table. Pinkie Pie saw that her friend was in the shop and bounced over to greet her.
"Hey Applejack, how ya doing? Are you having a good day at the farm? Did you work really hard? I guess you did, because why else would you be here?" Pinkie Pie giggled before she continued babbling. "Did you order cupcakes? Cupcakes are really delicious aren't they? I make them with a very special recipe of mine! I came up with it myself. Of course it's a secret though, so I can't tell you. Maybe some day I will tell you though!"
Applejack's ear twitched at the party pony's insistent babble. She was used to Pinkie Pie talking on and on, but today she found her babble even more annoying than usual. She wished Pinkie Pie would just shut up, but she knew that wasn't going to happen. Her ear twitched again and a small scowl formed on her face. The noise coming from the party pony's mouth seemed endless. Finally, Applejack snapped.
"Pinkie Pie, for once in your bucking life, SHUT UP!" Applejack raised her voice at her friend. She gave Pinkie Pie a firm glare as she said, "I'm going to be honest with you. You are the most annoying, infuriating, and aggravating pony I have ever met! You always talk too much, you talk nonstop! It's annoying, and nopony likes it! I DON'T LIKE IT!"
"But Appleja-AACK!" her sentence was cut off as she received a hoof to the muzzle.
"SHUT THE BUCK UP!" Applejack shouted. She rose out of her seat, staring the pink pony down. "Not only are you annoying, but you are just plain stupid! You're stupid, and you're so air headed! You don't see the obvious even when it's right in front of you! Want to know something else Pinkie?"
"W-what?" Pinkie Pie stammered, crouched down and backing away from the angry farmer.
"I WISH YOU WOULD JUST DIE!" Applejack screamed. "You drive me insane, Pinkie Pie. INSANE!"
"I'm sorry!" Pinkie Pie cried.
"SHUT UP!"
Applejack thrust a hoof in her face again. Pinkie Pie grunted as she was knocked backwards off her hooves. Applejack lunged forward, landing on top of her and pinning her down with her hooves. Pinkie Pie gulped, seeing the look of pure rage in Applejack's eyes. She knew this wasn't Applejack anymore. This was no longer her good friend Applejack, this was something very different. Pinkie Pie squirmed underneath Applejack, making muffled noises and trying to speak even when the farmer's hooves in her mouth.
Something dark flashed in Applejack's eyes. Something evil. Then she spoke in a deadly whisper, "Looks like there's only one way ah can make you shut up."
Pinkie Pie whimpered, Applejack's tone sending a chill down her spine. The farmer took Pinkie by the mane using her mouth and dragged her towards the kitchen. Pinkie Pie took that chance to try and escape. The pink pony rolled over onto her belly and bashed her skull against Applejack's mouth. Applejack cried out in pain and Pinkie Pie was released from her grip. Pinkie Pie turned to run, but Applejack tackled her again. Pinkie Pie was now on her stomach, and she could feel Applejack's hot breath at the back of her neck.
"You stupid pony," Applejack spat, blood spraying from her mouth. "I'm going to kill you!"
She raised a hoof and brought it down hard on Pinkie's skull. Pinkie Pie let out a scream before she was knocked unconscious. Now that she was out cold, Applejack could drag the pink pony the rest of the way into the kitchen. She frowned at the pony, who was lying still on the floor in front of her. Applejack wanted Pinkie Pie to be awake when she tore out her throat. So while she waited for the party pony to wake up, she took the time to hoist Pinkie up on her back and carry her to the counter. She tossed Pinkie Pie onto the counter with her back and looked around for some rope to tie Pinkie down. Applejack hurried upstairs to the Cakes' home and got a long rope before coming back down.
Applejack noticed Pinkie Pie was beginning to stir. She had to move faster. She went over to Pinkie and tied her front hooves together, and then her hind hooves. She cut off the remaining part of the rope with a smaller knife and used it to make sure Pinkie was tied down to the counter itself. After she did so, Pinkie Pie was fully conscious now.
"Applejack?" Pinkie Pie murmured.
Pinkie Pie saw that she was tied down to her own kitchen counter. Applejack stood nearby, looking for a knife to use. Pinkie Pie tried to wiggle her way out of the ropes, but Applejack had bound them very tightly. The rough texture of the rope rubbed into her hooves, and they hurt.
Applejack found a big bakers knife and grabbed it, grinning wickedly. She carried the knife in her mouth as she went back to Pinkie Pie's side. Pinkie's eyes widened at the sight of the knife, which only made Applejack grin even wider. Then she gripped the knife with both hooves and plunged the blade through Pinkie Pie's throat. She heard a satisfying squelch as blood spurted out of the wound.
The pain was unbearable. The blood began to clot up in Pinkie Pie's throat, and she found it very difficult to breath. She began choking and coughing, spitting up blood. Her breath was very ragged and she made gurgling sounds. Tears came to her eyes as she choked again when Applejack began to twist the blade in her throat. She twisted it slowly, making sure Pinkie Pie felt the intense pain every second.
Relishing the moment, Applejack dragged the blade downward, opening Pinkie Pie's throat even further. She removed the blade and used her hooves to widen the slit in the pony's throat. Pinkie Pie gagged and coughed, bright red splotches of blood staining the counter top. Her body reacted through violent convulsions, each one worst than the last. Applejack dug one hoof inside and hooked it around what had to be Pinkie Pie's vocal chords. She ripped them out violently, and blood came flying out of Pinkie's throat. Only gurgling could be heard, as the blood flowed out from the wound. Blood spewed out of her mouth and tears of pain rolled down her face. A puddle of blood was beginning to form underneath the party pony's head, staining her pink mane and turning it into a darker color.
Applejack smiled. Her front hooves were coated with blood, and Pinkie Pie became paler and paler as she lost more blood. Any light that was left in Pinkie Pie's eyes was gone now, forever. The convulsions stopped and Pinkie Pie went very still. Applejack took a few steps back to admire her work. Now the party pony was finally gone, for good. She felt better now that she had what she truly wanted: The lack of a party pony to make her eardrums bleed from the constant noise that poured from Pinkie Pie's mouth. Now if only she could get rid of the evidence...that would mean destroying the Cakes as well.
