During the years before the Elements of Harmony came together there were two Pegasus's. Both had there own unique personality very opposite from one another, yet through every personality there is a similarity and that is were we find our friendships, lovers, partners and how we can tolerate our families even though they drive us insane. This special bond hidden within ourselves makes us all the same no matter how different from each other we may seem. It is the heart to the reason why opposites attract.
"Hey, I haven't seen you around these parts of cumulous before what's your name?" say's the eccentric young lady.
"Fluteshhhh y.." whispers the shy girl.
"HER NAME'S FLUTTERSHY!" yells a young boy from across the clouds.
"Fluttershy is it, my names Rainbow Dash nice to finally meet you." Rainbow Dash greets as she extends her hand for a shake. The shy Fluttershy calmly rejects the hand shake as she looks down to her left and blows her hair out of her face.
"Well if you need anything I'm always here to help, you should try out for track I'm sure your an excellent flyer with wings like those." Rainbow Dash encourages but all the same the shy young girl remains quite as a mouse. Beyond the awkward moment and small talk Rainbow Dash concludes the conversation.
"Well, I'll be off to the grey fields then before class starts your welcome to join me and my friends we're gunna race around the field."
Fluttershy remained quite.
"Well I guess I'm off you can always watch if that's more your thing." Rainbow Dash flew away to the other half of the cumulous region of school.
Preparing for the race, Rainbow Dash was sure to put in her fair share of trash talk when from the corner of her eye she noticed Fluttershy make her way to the back of the bleachers to watch the race. Now that Rainbow Dash had a fan out there she was pumped and ready to leave her opponent in the rain.
"Alright Fleetfoot, I hope you like my butt cause you're about to see a lot of it!" Rainbow Dash smirks.
"Dream on Rainbow Smash, try not to bail out on the cyclone trails like last time." Fleetfoot says wittily.
Then with the sound of a bell they were off, Rainbow Dash taking the lead in the rain storm with Fleetfoot not far behind, then a sharp turn for the hail clouds left Rainbow Dash just inches behind Fleetfoot racing neck and neck all the way to the lightning pass. With a close encounter to a strike Fleetfoot was slowed down letting Rainbow Dash take the lead. Then knowing what was up next Rainbow Dash chocked as she witnessed the power of the cyclone trails, stopping for a brief moment allowing Fleetfoot to leave her in the tail. After near misses of powerful winds Rainbow Dash and Fleetfoot were moments from the finish line with Rainbow Dash just seconds behind and then the bell ringed declaring a winner!
Knowing it was her fear that got in the way Rainbow Dash lost the race to her fellow classmate. Disappointed about the loss Rainbow Dash was still a good sport.
"Good race Fleet, I'll still beat you at time trials in class though." Fleetfoot and Rainbow Dash laughed off the comment and exchanged hand shakes parting ways with smiles.
"Wow.." said a small voice. Rainbow Dash looked to see Fluttershy standing at the side of the track in awe.
"Hey! I'm glad you made it did you like it?" asked Rainbow Dash eagerly. Fluttershy then took a moment to let out the excitement.
"That was incredible!" Rainbow Dash laughed at Fluttershys excitement.
"Thanks, it was pretty awesome, I'm like the awsomest girl in school if you didn't already guess that."
Fluttershy still in awe replied, "Awesome? That was.... that wasn't awesome that was the coolest! You were so cool!"
Rainbow Dash pondered the thought and said, "... cool? Yeah... I guess I was pretty cool." she smiled.
"Yeah like 20% cooler than anything I've ever seen before! Oh my goodness.... so much excitement, I need to breath!"
Rainbow Dash was silent for just a second when she looked Fluttershy in the eye, pondering her reaction, her voice, the way she felt towards Rainbow Dash's loss, knowing that this was a loss it wasn't even a win and Fluttershy thought that Rainbow Dash was still the best out there. It was in this moment when Rainbow Dash forgot life around her, she focused on that one moment not realizing that with just three words her life would change forever, and she began her new life as she whispered to herself;
"20% cooler...."
Underneath the moonlight Rainbow Dash makes a request to the Mare in the Moon
Mare in the Moon, I need your help. I don't know if you were watching because it was when the sun was raised but you see, I met someone today. Now I know it's just been one day but I feel like everything in my life has lead to this moment. I get this weird feeling around this special somepony, like my heart wants to stop beating but at the time wants to speed up. I don't know if you can hear me but, I need your help. I think my heart wants to kill me.

I have not finished the story yet and I apologize, still trying to get some of the story together on a rough draft and I plan on editing this later. Please let me know of any errors and please if you have any ideas to make this story better I implore you to comment with your ideas.
Chapter 2: A Love Blossom
With the beginning already in motion and the years of fun and excitement in school just a memory, time passed and Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were now known as the elements of Harmony using friendship to protect Equestria and starting there lives in Ponyville with their new friends.
When time fly's people begin to experience new emotions, feelings that are not as innocent as one had thought them to be in the early stages of life. For Rainbow Dash, these feelings were no surprise when she would help her friend Fluttershy care for her animals in the summer sun. The heat, the tension, just being near her fueled the fires that laid in Rainbow Dash's heart the fires that only burned for Fluttershy.
"Why do we have to cool off the animals? Can't they just get up and find their way to a lake or something?" Rainbow Dash protested.
"Because, the little ones might get lost, or hurt on the way there and we don't want that now do we?" Fluttershy says to a baby rabbit in a cute baby voice as if it makes a difference.
"Fine! How are we gunna do this then? Oh, am I gunna get a snow storm going? I can do that noooo problem heck you could time me and it would only take a second." Rainbow Dash smiles and gloats.
"Nooo.... first we have to change so we don't ruin our good clothes, did you bring your swim suit?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yeah, are we gunna take them swimming? Cause I'm the best swimmer there is." Rainbow Dash asked.
"Nooo.... some of the animals can't swim. What we're going to do is make it rain." Fluttershy said softly.
" I can't make it rain on all of the animals, only a designated area or I'll get in trouble for messing with the weather patterns. " Rainbow Dash mocked.
"We're not going to change the weather we're going to use a garden hose, see." Fluttershy demonstrated how shooting the water up can create the feeling of rain. Rainbow Dash however was only watching the smile on Fluttershys face seeing that she was happy, this was the way to do it and no matter how uncool something was, if it made Fluttershy happy then she knew it was good.
"Fine, I guess we can do that..." Rainbow Dash sighed.
Fluttershy began to pour the rain and cool off the animals sprinkling herself in the process every now and then. Rainbow Dash stood back watching Fluttershys wet body glisten in the suns rays, her smile shining and her bathing suit exposing parts of her body that even though innocent, were rather arousing to Rainbow Dash. The way her suit left her back bare letting the water slowly drip from its dimples, creating so few dew drops on her silk wings. Her shoulders smooth and glossy, all Rainbow Dash wanted to do was hold Fluttershy in her arms; hands on her shoulder, kissing her neck as the water dripped from her hair, down her face, and creeping it's way down her chest.
"Do you want to try?" Fluttershy asked.
Rainbow Dash now focusing on Fluttershys eyes, "I'm not much for fake rain."
Fluttershy laughed and sprayed Rainbow Dash with the hose, soaking her in the sun. Fluttershy then continued to cool the animals, those sneaky little things, once Fluttershy turned her back, Owlowicious decides to take matters into his own hands pushing Rainbow Dash into Fluttershy; collapsing them both to the ground with one on the other.
"Oh, Rainbow are you ok?" Fluttershy asks softly as she proceeds to get up.
"I.. I'm fine.. that stupid owl pushed me." Rainbow Dash explains blushing like a rose.
"He's not stupid, he probably just got jealous because he hasn't been cooled off. You were just his way of hinting me." She smiles as she sprays Owlowicious with the hose.
"Of course, I mean there were obviously no other reasons." Rainbow Dash replies as she tightens her voice while staring down the meddling owl.

After a hot summers day ends, night begins to fall and as the sun sets creating the romantic orange glow that glistens on its ring Rainbow Dash takes her leave from Fluttershys cottage back to her home in Cloudsdale.
"Thank you so very mush for helping me today, there were so many animals I never would have gotten them all cooled without your help." Fluttershy thanks.
"No problem, I'm always here to help you can always count on me to be there. Just next time can it be something cooler?" Rainbow Dash asks in all seriousness.
Fluttershy giggles, "Sure, as long as you remember to bring Tank with you. I'm sure he must be very lonely when your gone."
Rainbow Dash smiles off the request and begins to walk away until...
"Wait... Rainbow!" Fluttershy yells hastily.
Fluttershy stops before Rainbow Dash and then proceeds with a warm hug. Now maybe to Fluttershy it was just a friendly hung to say thank you with more meaning but for Rainbow Dash, having Fluttershys body against hers was not as arousing as one would think just... pleasurable more like a spa day rather than a trip to the strip club. Fluttershy was truly all Rainbow Dash needed and when the day ends with Flutterhsys arms around her... how can she ask for more?
"Thank you again, good night." Fluttershy says walking back to her cottage.
With the reddest cheaks and the largest smile, Rainbow Dash proceeds to fly home with only four last words.
"That was so totally cool!"
Chapter 3: The Slip of the Tongue
One day Rainbow Dash will have to confess her feelings; everyone knows this you can't love someone and just not tell them. Well...maybe SHE won't have to.
A few days after helping Fluttershy at her cottage it was now time to spend a day with Rarity looking for gems for her new Winter's Bite Fashion line that was soon to be released.
"How many of these things do you need?" Rainbow Dash asked in pain as she slowly walked near Rarity towing a wagon and backpack full of gems.
"2,158 to be precise. You can't have too many gems you know and if I have left overs I can always give them to my little Spikey Wikey so he doesn't have to go hungry. Celestia only knows Twilight is probably starving him being all caught up in her books and what not." Rarity explains as she continues to search for gems.
"Errhhh..." Rainbow Dash cries.
"Really Rainbow Dash you must start working out, even I could tow that wagon without any trouble."
"Oh but of course; I have Fashion magic, you see I just came up with it, I have the power to create Fashionable works of art that looks as if I had just used magic to create them. It's a gift dear not a curse."
"Believe me I do love Celestia but who ever does her wardrobe should be ashamed of themselves, she should be ashamed for being out in public wearing such garbage as that." Rarity scorns.
" Isn't Hoity Toity her designer?" Rainbow Dash asks.
"Did I say garbage? My apologies what I meant to say was professional works of art." Rarity smiles as she corrects herself.
Rainbow Dash just smiled.
"Anyway darling enough about me, I haven't seen you in ages what has been going on in your life?" Rarity asks as she continues to load gems into the wagon.
"Nothing.." Rainbow Dash replies quickly.
"Really? I heard from Pinkie Pie that you helped out Fluttershy a few days ago with her animals. How did that go?"
"It was...fine." Rainbow Dash replies as she tries to change the subject. "We should just hurry up and get these gems so we don't have to be here after dark."
Rarity squeaked a smile, " Alright Dash I know what your trying to do, what really happened when you went to Fluttershys come on you can tell me."
"Nothing I just helped her out is all." She blushed.
"You did something didn't you?"
" My dear, take it from someone who knows; Fluttershy knows all...... and sees all. She noticed." Rarity grinned.
"She didn't she would have said something."
"No my dear, I wish I was. Oh my goodness look at this ruby!!!" Rarity yells.
Maybe if Rarity is right then that means that Fluttershy is a little bit interested, right?i]
"Rainbow, are you still with me?" Rarity breaks in.
"Um yeah, sorry... are we done here?" Rainbow asked eagerly.
"After that last ruby I'm sure I have enough for possibly 4 elegant gowns. Lets get on our way, this cold is going to destroy my hair."
After returning to her home in Cloudsdale Rainbow Dash couldn't get any sleep, her mind was in the clouds and there was only one way she could get some peace, she had to know if Fluttershy knew, she couldn't help but feel that her secret was out. But that was meant for another day.
When it was time for her to be a friend to Applejack she didn't expect that Applejack would have needed more than one extra set of hands to help repair the apple family barn.
"Alright AJ this shouldn't take more than 10 seconds tops. So lets get........ Fluttershy!" Rainbow stops in shock.
"Hey." Fluttershy greets softly.
"Applejack I thought it was just the two of us we could have done it you didn't need to invite Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash complains.
" I know, Fluttershy isn't here to help us with the barn she's here to serve us drinks I asked her if she could make us some refreshments and give them to us sometime while we're workin. " Applejack explained.
"Of course, anything for my friends I couldn't imagine working all day in the hot sun without something to cool off with and besides it gives Angel a chance to play in the orchard, isn't that right sweetie? " Fluttershy asks while making baby noises to the white rabbit.
" Well then what are we waiting for Dash lets get a move on. We don't have all day and night you know." Applejack yelled.
The two began to start cutting some lumber into shape to create new support beams for the ceiling and center barn as well as repairing the second story of the barn after it was declared unsafe when Granny Smith fell through the soggy wood and broke her hip... again. Through the day Rainbow and Applejack would work and rest and during the work Rainbow was in the zone competing with Applejack on who could carry the most weight, the largest beam, nail the wood in fastest but eventually they would have to work together every now and then. As for there rest, it was quite a treat for Rainbow Dash though she didn't want the distraction of Fluttershy it gave her a chance to find out if Fluttershy new that Rainbow Dash found her to be something more than special. Well it would have if Applejack wasn't taking the attention.
"You know we should have invited Twilight." said Applejack.
"Oh, I don't know, she really isn't into all the heavy lifting stuff it would have been just like inviting Rarity." Fluttershy replied.
"Yeah but it would have been nice to have some magic helping us out."
"She was just exaggerating to make a point Dash she knows it's just good fun." Applejack insisted.
"Oh I thought it was actual labor I didn't know we were playing a game." Fluttershy said in surprise.
All Rainbow Dash could do was roll her eyes and wonder if there was something really wrong with Fluttershy or she was just born that oblivious.
"Applejack!!!!! Fixens ready come on in and don't forget your friends." Granny Smith yelled.
"All right ya'll supper's ready, lets get a move on." Applejack yelled with a big smile.
"Actually AJ I'm gunna take Fluttershy home its getting dark and so we had better get going." Rainbow Dash said politely.
"Thank you so much for letting us stay we really appreciate your hospitality." Fluttershy thanked softly.
"It was no problem sugar cube we apple folk are known for our hospitality." Applejack boasted.
As the two parties parted ways Rainbow Dash walked Fluttershy home because it was far too dark for her to be out and about on her own. At first the walk was very quite, the two spoke no words to one another until they arrived at Fluttershy's cottage.
"Have a good night." Rainbow Dash said goodbye.
"Thank you, you as well." Fluttershy said back.
Before Fluttershy could make it through her door Rainbow Dash had to ask just one final question......but should she have?
"Fluttershy wait!" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yes?"
" I was staring at you while you were helping the animals and I mean I just wanted to let you know cause I didn't want you to think that I was like being weird or anything I was just observing you know to get some pointers". Rainbow Dash held her breath hoping Flutterhsy would believe the lie.
"Oh..... I didn't even notice. Thank you for telling me though I'm sure it wasn't easy." Fluttershy replied calmly.
"It wasn't that hard it was just a question." Rainbow Dash answered with another lie.
"Well thank you and I don't think your weird." Fluttershy smiled.
Rainbowdash smiled with relief that weight was off her shoulder. Now all she had to do was just keep admiring her from afar. Although she decided to take a slow flight back to cloudsdale to think she pondered the thought of what would happen if Fluttershy did know. Would they be together or would she say no and then their friendship would be to awkward and not as strong. She really couldnt get over the possibility that her love would ruin their friendship. It was then she finally decided that she would never tell Fluttershy her true feelings.....EVER.
