I lay here on the flat roof and stare up at the stars thinking about my friends "I miss you guys. I-I know there's no way back, but I'm still trying." I whisper. I look down at my tan skin, rushing my hands through my rainbow hair and tears start forming in my eyes. To shake it off I decide to go on a midnight flight to the nearby farm to steal some apples off the trees. Getting up on my feet I stretch my wings and take off into the starry sky, feeling the cold breeze through the cyan feathers of my wings.
I look over the streets, although I've been in this world for a year now I have had little to no interaction with these beings. I picked up on their slang terms, such as saying 'everybody' instead of 'everypony'. There was a small group of people in an alleyway, two men and a woman. That didn't really interest me though until I heard one of them yelling.
"Help, somebody help me!"
"Shut up, you stupid bitch." The older man hit her over the head with some sort of blunt object. I couldn't really tell that well when I was falling foot first into a high-speed kick. *BAM* I hit him in the back and he falls to the ground screaming in pain. The other one, now noticing me, swings wild punches and I dodge them with ease; if there is anything this body can't do I would be surprised. I swipe my legs under his, causing him to fall over. I continue my swing, using my momentum to land my elbow into his stomach leaving him badly winded. The woman picks up the wooden plank the older man was holding and whacks them over the head with it, knocking them out cold.
"Follow me, we need to talk." She said with a calm voice as she turns and walks away. We walk down a few streets until we come to the house she lives in.
She invites me in and I sit at a table and take in my surroundings; I was in the kitchen, cream-colored tiles cover the floor, a sink, stove and oven, and that's really all I could make out. "My name is Grayscale and like you, I'm different." She pulls off the top half of her clothing to reveal two grey wings that match her black and grey hair.
"Yeah, that's nice and all, but why did you bring me here?" I ask rubbing my eyes.
"Well you see," She begins, "I don't have any memory of more than three years ago, except for my name." I see where this is going but I continue to listen anyway "I remember the first thing I said when I came here was Sweet Apple Acres and, well, I was hoping you knew where we came from and why I said that." I just sit there thinking of a way to explain where we come from without sounding completely insane.
"Okay well first of all there are a few things you need to do." I say not really expecting much.
"Anything."
"Well if anything is applied then I will need something to keep me awake and you to promise that no matter what I say in the next few minuets or so you need to believe me, got it?" upon finishing this I thought I wouldn't get anything due to it being midnight and all but to my surprise she replied with a quick "Okay." and put a small round thing on a smaller round thing. Soon steam started to rise and she poured the contents into a cup with milk, added "MOCCONA" (1) and after mixing it she handed it to me and told me to drink some of it.
"Okay this next part is going to be hard to explain but I will do my best," I take a sip from the drink and I fell myself wake up instantly "We... we come from a land known as Equestria filled with pure harmony where we used to be... ponies." upon saying that she banged her head on the table "Well, we were Pegasi, the ones that fly around and do weather jobs. And then there are unicorns, the one who sent you here is called Trixie but that was just an accident. One, which my friend Twilight Sparkle said, is an easy one to make. And then... then there are earth ponies... two of which were, no, are my bestest of best friends…" I almost choked in that sentence "earth ponies do all the farming and well, land-based stuff."
"I can see why you asked me to believe you." she said with a small chuckle. I just sit there and sigh.
"Yeah, but what’re you gonna do?" I replied knowing the question she was about to ask
"Hey, you said there was a easy mistake made that sent me here. How did it happen?" Called it.
"Well by what Twilight has told me it was a teleporting spell, only it was focused on someone; which isn't a very common spell but is still a simple one. Trixie is a show off and an egotist, stating anything you can do I can do better and, well, she did this trick live. She asked for a volunteer and you were selected, so you flew up there and she told to stand there. She walked back a bit and her horn glowed. Next thing we knew you were gone. When she recast the spell the only thing that came back was a chair."
"Was this held at this Sweet Apple Acres?"
"Yes... yes it was." I replied starting to get a massive headache. 'Am I hearing voices? I swear I can hear someone shouting my name.' The headache got worse and soon I'm on the ground screaming in pain until I passed out, or so I thought.
"Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash are you there?" It was Twilight Sparkle the Alicorn. My friend and another species I have to tell Grayscale about.
"Uhh Twi-Twilight is that you?" I asked, wondering what the hell was going on.
"Yes. Who else is a lavender pony with a horn and wings? What happened to you? You look like you've seen a ghost and you’re so... so big." She pondered as she reached out to me only to pass through. She started to fade and I could see the vast emptiness behind her " Don't worry Rainbow Dash. We are so close to getting you out of here." …And just like that, she was gone. No puff of smoke, no popping noise, she just vanished.
It was a long minute of silence just floating there in the vast emptiness, not even thinking. It ended when Grayscale gave me a little shake,
"What happened, Rainbow Dash?" She asked with a look of concern on her face.
"I'll tell you what happened... but first, I need some sleep." I said as the headache subsided.
Author's Note
yeah ok go ahead with the criticism of bad grammar and what not but I think I did much better on this one then the last. Also Rainbow Dash to the rescue is not finished and will be finished one day. oh and um as for that whole leg sweep thing I hope you can imagine what it would look like but if you cant play saints row 3 or 4 grab a hand gun ( not duel wield!!) and do a testicular assault. It is basically that but to the stomach. ENJOY. Next chapter in few decades (over exaggerated.. maybe) also I have never had coffee before due to being 15 and having no need as of yet so if I missed something or made it wrong please let me know. shout out to my editor SkyshotSwift.
