"PSSSHH!" Steam began venting into a large tube like device. Inside a lone figure began stirring as he was awoken. The glass doors slowly opened and the individual fell onto the cold floor. "Shit..." Drake slowly began to stand on his legs. He must have been in cryo for a long time since he was wobbly as hell. As he surveyed his surroundings, memories began flooding his mind. Orcs, the space station, Earth.
(Flashback)
Humanity had always tried to live in peace with every species they had encountered. Ponies, Griffins, Dragons. That all changed when a new species was discovered deep in the darkest caves. They had called themselves Orcs and humanity had tried to make peaceful contact with the new beings. It ended horribly as a entire security team was wiped out and a critically injured ambassador returned. Thus started the Human-Orc war. Humanity soon came to terrible realization. Due to some recon, they had figured out who was leading the beasts. King Sombra, a name that terrified even the bravest pony had been revived and began his campaign in total world domination. While he was dormant, he had created Orcs with some of his dark magic and had breeded them over the course of thousands of years. When humanity had discovered them during a mining operation, he knew it.was time to strike. Unleashing his horde of billions of orcs, he began his terrible campaign. Even though humanity had upper hand in warfare, King Sombra had one as well: Numbers. If you took out one orc, five more took it's place. Cities were sometimes overrun overnight and some had to be completely demolished with LGM's.(Laser Guided Missiles) Before long, humanity began developing a weapon that might change the outcome of the war. Operation Genocide: A giant machine that had extreme amounts of magic contained in it. When activated, it would bathe the entire planet in a special magic that targeted certain species. Ponies, Griffins, and Dragons would be unaffected but humans and orcs would be annihilated. Since the scientists could not figure out how to make it not affect humans, it was only to be used as THE last resort. The day unfortunately came when the last human city was under seige. People were immediatley rushed to the space shuttle as they would be taken into an orbital base so that Operation Genocide could be acheived....
"C'MON DRAKE! WE'RE ALMOST THERE!"Joseph grabbed a magazine from one of his pockets and slammed it into his M16. He pulled the lever back and it gave a satisfying click. Drake fired his M1911 and killed a few orcs that attempted to kill a few civillians.
"The shuttle bay doors are opening one last time. Anyone not entering them will get left behind. This is your final warning."
As Drake and his father began entering the hallway a figure materialized out of the shadows and let forth a beam of pitch black magic. Drake's world turned to slow motion as he knew he had a couple of seconds. Before the beam could make contact he jumped in front of his father. Deep searing pain coursed through Drake's entire body as he fell limp onto the ground.
"NO!" Joseph fired his M16 and the orc mage was turned into Swiss cheese. "Drake! Are you alright?!" Drake groaned in response. Joseph grabbed Drake and slung him on his shoulders. As Joseph ran to the bay doors, he grabbed something from his neck and stuffed it into Drake's pocket.
"Bay doors are now closing." The large shuttle doors began to close as groups of people rushed by attempting to board.
"We'll never make it." An idea formed in Josephs mind.
"Sorry Drake. Your on your own." He grabbed Drake by his shirt and pants and threw him with all his might. Drake was able to make it through just as the bay doors closed.

As Drake walked through the space station, he and many others watched from orbit as a small purple light began forming where the last human city was. The light grew bigger and bigger until it exploded and bathed the entire planet in a purple like aura.
"Operation Genocide was a success. We've won."
It was supposed to be a time of cheer and glee but none was shown. Billions of humans had died and only a few thousand remained.
"All personell report to the cryo chambers immediatley..."
(End Flashback)
The room began to shake and rumble oddly.
"What the hell is going on." As if answering his question, the ship sirens began blaring.
"All power lost. All personell are to report to the nearest escape pod. Impact to atmosphere in fifteen minutes."
"Damn!" Drake looked into the closet next to his cryo pod. Inside he found a EVA suit and began putting it on.(Looks like the one in DS3.) He put it on his helmet and it gave a satisfying hiss. He grabbed a F2000 assault rifle and a silenced G17. He grabbed a duffle bag and began stuffing it with magazines and a couple extra weapons. Just as he finished packing, he heard a loud sucking sound mixed in with bending metal.
"Life Support offline. Breach in Section F5." The sliding doors in front of Drake began rumbling.
"Awww shit..." The doors were sucked like a vacuum revealing the dark void of space. The vacuum began to kick inside the room and Drake was sucked into the unforgiving vacuum of space.
"C'mon thrusters!" After a few seconds, a pair of thrusters erupted around hisbfeet and body. Drake had to find a emergency hatch fast otherwise the station would hit atmosphere and he would never get to an escape pod. He used his HUD to scan for an area and nearly screamed in joy as he found one.not too far from him. As he began flying towards the hatch, peices of debris began falling toward him.
" Shit, shit, shit!" He began dodging the sharp peices of debris until a blunt peice of metal caught him square in chest. Even though he was in terrible pain, he fought over it and finally reached the hatch. He reached in his bag and grabbed a pair of semtex. He primed them and stuck them onto the hatch. A couple of seconds later, the hatch was blown open and Drake floated inside. Just as he got inside, a pair of blast doors closed and cut off the vacuum.
'The escape pods shouldn't be too far now.' Just as he exited the vents the artifical gravity kicked in and fell right on his back. "Ahhh...." He looked at room he was in and was surprised to find himself in the emergency pod room. "Well, this is quite conveniant." As he threw his duffle bag in a lone escape pod, he was quite surprised to find no one with him. 'Maybe they already left?' He quickly checked the other pods to find them unused. 'Somethings wrong...' As he began making preperations to leave, he found a lone terminal. 'Maybe this terminal will give me some answers.' He took a cable in the back of his head and inserted it into the computer. In a few seconds his HUD read 'Download Complete.'
"Reaching atmosphere in 90 seconds."
Drake began inserting commands into the pod before it gave one question.
"Destination?" Drake thought for a moment before typing in his hometown.
"Coordinates recieved." The pod shot from the ship at high speeds. Drake gave a loud sigh as he slumped in his seat. Home. He was going home.
Uknown to Drake, he wasn't the only one witnessing these events...
(Meanwhile in Canterlot)
Princess Luna was doing her nightly routine of observing and charting stars. As she looked through her telescope, she noticed a small light flickering in the distance. It grew bigger and bigger until she noticed small peices of debris falling from it. She magnified her scope and was quite shocked as she saw what it was. A giant contraption made of metal was falling from the sky.
"Royal Guards!" A pair of pony soilders entered the room.
"Yes Princess Luna?"
"I need you to send a letter to my sister. Tell her it's an emergency and I need her now!"
Well this is my second attempt in writing a story. I hope it isn't too sloppy. Please no negative reviews.
