Spitfire tried to sleep, she tossed and turn on her bed, and tried different positions but still, the yellow mare was still fully awake. Her eye-bags was slightly dark and her mane still spiked as usual. Her clock burst out a loud buzzing sound,that made Spitfire's head ache. Spitfire groaned, and the yellow mare grabbed her pillow and placed it at the top of her face, wishing the pillow could stop the annoying buzzing sound that her alarm clock made, sighing in defeat, she reached out for the buzzing alarm clock and tapped it violently, and the clock landed on her bedroom floor.
Once the buzzing sound was stopped, she positioned her pillow again to its proper place and tried to sleep. Spitfire had a rough night, Six interviews and crowds that followed her and asked for autograph and pictures everywhere she went, is not a one celebrity pony could easily accomplish, and Spitfire was more than glad to hear that was over, and all she wanted was a good night sleep, Spitfire tried, and as her alarm clock went on, realization struck her, that it was already morning.
She tossed and turn again, tried her best to fall asleep, then the yellow mare heard hooves walking towards her bedroom, she lazily got out of bed and faced her small mirror and made herself presentable, as three loud knocks was heard from the door. "Who is it?" said Spitfire grabbing a comb "Its only the handsome, Soarin" and the stallion and the yellow mare shared a giggle as she opened the door, and gave Soarin a wide beam, and Spitfire replied him with the same and went back to the mirror. "Sup' Spitfire you look kinda sick" said Soarin sitting at Spitfire's bed putting the clock at its proper place. "I didn't bucking sleep last night" said Spitfire as she combed her mane down repeatedly.
"Ooohh.. did somepony made you busy?" Soarin teased Spitfire as he giggled at his own joke "laugh it up.. Laugh it up" Spitfire has been friends with Soarin since their first flight camp, and she knows not to take his jokes seriously "Ok.. i'm done..why?" said Soarin between giggles "Six interviews, crowds and a few drink of intense coffee, don't make a bucking good night sleep" said Spitfire as she combed the side of her hair down "Haha! well thats harsh, Spit" said Soarin as she looked at her best friend combing her hair down, which stayed spiked as usual. As his gaze went to her cutie mark and leaned a little bit for a better look of her-
"Now Soarin, what brings you here?" the yellow mare asked, still combing her hair "W-well.. we have a flying practice today and the Wonderbolts need their captain" said Soarin, blushing turning his gaze somewhere else "Thanks Soarin, for reminding me" Spitfire said turning to her friend, as she combed her hair down.
"Yes, s-sure, no problem, Spitfire" Soarin stopped and chuckled at the beautiful, yellow mare 'Wait..What?! Beautiful?' Soarin blushed harder at the thought "What are you laughing at?" said Spitfire as she watched him as he trotted towards the door, wondering why he's slight red. Soarin opened the door and turned his gaze to Spitfire, "Nothing and.. Trust me, you'll always look good with your hair like that" Soarin winked and leaved Spitfire same red as Soarin does, when he leaved Spitfire's bedroom frozen at his compliment, Spitfire turned to the mirror.
Her flaming mane was still spiked after she combed it. 'Comb your bucking hair they said, it will be straight and gorgeous they said' Spitfire thought, as she remembered what occurred earlier' Always. Look. Good' the words that her best friend said, flashed back at her thoughts.
'Did Soarin thought of her that way?'. She shook her head at the thought, as she leaved it as a joke from her best friend.As she went to her own bathroom. She turned the water on, and watched as the lukewarm water fill her tub, 'Maybe, Soarin saw me that way', she thought, 'No, it was just a joke Spitfire! don't get into weird conclnusios' she mentally said that, to her self, as she climbed on the tub, she enjoyed the warm feeling, as she sinked deeper at her tub. 'Its been a while since i visit the Roseluck' she thought 'maybe i'll check around Roseluck and' she chuckled and reminded herself, as she started scrubbing her hooves.
She have no idea that the sentence that Soarin gave her, was not a joke, in fact, it is a complement for his best friend, 'best friend' Soarin thought, as he sighed at the word, that Spitfire is referred to.
The captain of the Wonderbolts, Spitfire and the rest of the team, was having their two hour break, before they could start their practice again. "What a day!" Said Rapidfire tirelessly, as he removed the goggles from his eyes and placed it at his locker, "Tell me about it! my stomach is protesting for some grub, hey you wanna join me at Cloud9?" said Lightning Streak as he placed his goggles at his locker neatly.
"What is Cloud9? exactly?" asked Rapidfire raising a brow "The new awesome private restaurant around the Canterlot's city! that has great food, and really, cute mares" explained Lightning Streak with a grin, as he nudge gently his friend with his shoulder "New restaurant with cute mares?! why didn't i know that?!" Rapidfire said "Seriously, Rapidfire, you need to get out more often" Lightning Streak teased his friend. As Soarin walked inside their locker room, and the two stallion offered him to join them on what they planning this afternoon. "Yeah! it'll be oh so fun!, Soarin" said Rapidfire "Totally, there's great food, no crowds and, not to mention really, hot, mares"Lightning Streak added, as the two buddies shared a grin.
Soarin was indeed starving, and needed to take a break from exhausting practices, but when Lightning Streak had drop the last words 'really, hot, mares' it made Soarin think that, he haven't been close to a mare for almost a year now, well except from Spitfire, but Spitfire was indeed an exception because she was his best friend. After a quick thinking, he finally decided to join the two to eat and, maybe find a mare friend "Ok guys, i'm in" said Soarin "Yes! ok, guys we better get going, and Soarin, you can bring your eye glasses" Lightning Streak winked at Soarin, and soon the two friends was laughing at Soarin at the locker room floor.
Soarin remembered the time, when he joined these two, he was punched by a mare in the club, because he was staring at her huge rear and he have to put an ice-bag at his cheeks for five days, his head ache at the memory, "laugh it up guys.." Soarin recognized his reply, in fact it was too familiar, 'Spitfire, oh yes.. karma' Soarin thought "Sorry, Soarin ok,Lightning Streak, where is this Cloud9?" asked Rapidfire getting up and holding his laughter.
Lightning Streak lead his friends, to the place called Cloud9 as he gently opened the door, they were greeted by a pink mare, with a gorgeous yellow mane, complemented by the flower on her ear, and sweet, jazz music,"Good afternoon, dear gentlecolts, please make yourself comfortable, as we find you a seat" the mare said politely "Well, i'm already comfortable"said Lightning Streak, with a flirtatious smile. The mare's cheeks now was in a light shade of red, because of the Wonderbolt's gesture "W-well, were are glad to hear that" said the blushing, mare. Then a waiter trotted towards her and whispered something, and the pink mare turned back to the Wonderbolts, and lead the team to their table.
The restaurant was gorgeous and spacious, with the help of the red and yellow lighting and jazz music, the aura of the restaurant became more romantic. The ponies around them are mingling and flirting with one another, some are kissing , and some are couples who are enjoying their romantic environment. the Wonderbolts took a seat at in front of the round table, and started ordering drinks, food and of course, pies.
The three Wonderbolt spent their afternoon flirting with gorgeous mares and eating pies, but one shocking thing have caught the eye of the two, Wonderbolt buddies, "Oh my.. Shit.. Don't bucking tell me that is-" Rapidfire was caught off gaurd with a hanging jaw "yes,Rapidfire that is our captain" said, Lightning Streak as he closed the jaw of Rapidfire "W-what captain? Spitfire?, who? where?" Soarin, not aware what happened and caught the eye of the two. Rapidfire pointed his hooves at where their captain is located, as Soarin followed Rapidfire's hooves, and he and his teammates could not believe what they were seeing.
Spitfire was sitting at a couch, kissing the neck of a beautiful, mare with a pale yellow curved body, with raspberry mane with light raspberry streaks and has a blooming rose, for a cutie mark. The captain of the Wonderbolts dosen't seem to care about her surrounding, because most of the ponies, are doing the same gesture. Soarin just stared at his captain. He stared at Spitfire, as she danced her wet, tongue with the neck of the other mare.
Soarin felt like he was betrayed, forgotten, and he felt like dragging Spitfire out of the restaurant, but he know he couldn't. But, why? 'Why do i feel like this?' Soarin thought, as he stared at Spitfire, with somepony. It is clear as a bell to him but he coudn't admit it to himself. He was indeed jealous, he was jealous seeing Spitfire with somepony, 'Do i have feelings for Spitfire? No! She's my best friend' Soarin mentally argued 'but why do i feel like this? why do i feel vulnerable when Spitfire is with somepony?' questions about how he felt that time, run through his mind. "What a show eh, Soarin?" said Rapidfire as he stared his captain, with his friend "y-yeah" Soarin said bitterly, as he watched his best friend with the mare.
Spitfire broke the contact from the neck of the mare, when Spitfire saw her partner, her face was flushed, Spitfire chuckled at the sight "You're deep blushing, Roseluck" Spitfire teased Roseluck, and the mare started to be in a darker shade of red as she covered her face with her hooves in embarrassment and Spitfire's chuckle began to grew stronger. A slightly far table from the mares, lies the Wonderbolts, staring, including Soarin, the three Wonderbolts tried to eavesdrop, but the distance between their captain, and sweet jazz filling up the restaurant made it hard, for them to do so.
"Guys, i don't believe it! Spitfire!, our captain, just kissed a flesh of a gorgeous mare, less than two and half hours! seriously!" said the irritated Rapidfire with a frown, " I know, our captain sure is fast" joked Lightning Streak, Rapidfire mentioned how silent Soarin was in this situation "Umm.. Soarin? are y-you alright?" Rapidfire said with a concerned look "Y-yeah.. Why wouldn't i be?" Soarin build a fake smile to re-assure his friends that he was ok, but Rapidfire and Lightning Streak was not buying it. "You seem kinda quiet.. Is there anything wrong?" Lightning Streak and Rapidfire didn't broke their gaze at their teammate until he spill the beans, "No.. its just-" Soarin sighed in defeat as he decided it should be better for him to tell his concerned friends what he was feeling right now.
"I just.. I-i was jealous" Soarin admitted as he faced the floor of the restaurant "I'm jealous of the mare, I was jealous seeing Spitfire with.. Somepony" as Soarin finished he felt a concerned pat at his back, that indeed, made him feel better " Soarin, did.. Did you feel all this now? Did you felt this way for Spitfire before?" the concerned, Lightning Streak said, " I have felt this way before, I just kept pushing it because.." Soarin let out a long sigh before continuing ".. she is my best friend and... When every time i see her with somepony else.. i.. " Soarin searched for the right words, but no words seem to dash on his mind to complete his sentence.
"Soarin, if thats so.. Why did you keep all this? you know, if you don't make a move, Spitfire will find somepony else.. and.. If you don't make a move.. it will not be you" the two Wonderbolt team mates shared a quick nod "Lightning's right, you got to make a move Soarin, you got to!" said Rapidfire, "I appreciate you guys, but.. how? i couldn't just tell her, all of this, at this restaurant" Soarin said, removing his gaze from the restaurant's floor and back from his friends.
"Yes.. You can't. and... We need a plan" Rapidfire was grinning widely at his friends as he continued, "something.. Something that'll make her say yes to you, when you ask her out!" said Rapidfire "W-what? a plan?" asked Soarin and raised an eyebrow at his team mates "And i bet its going to be a romantic one!" Lightning Streak said and winked at Rapidfire "I don't know about this guys.. She might.. Freak out, or worse.. She might end our friendship and-" Soarin was caught off guard by the light-blue hoof, of Lightning Streak.
"S-stop thinking negative thoughts, Soarin.. Besides what i got in my mind right now, is soaring!" Lightning Streak and Rapidfire both shared a giggle "B-but.. " Soarin stammered "No buts, or ifs or whatnot.. Anyways Soarin, are you in?" Soarin's eyes met the pleading eyes of his two friends, he turned to Spitfire who is still talking to the blushing mare. "Yes, i'm in" Soarin turned to his friends and gave a smile, which his friends replied him with the same. "Don't you worry, we've done this thing like, a hundred times, and they end up, pretty the same" Rapidfire chuckled "What the same?" Soarin asked "We end up with free porn!" a few looks of mares and stallions are the effect of the answer of Soarin's question, as for the two perverted-Wonderbolt buddies, a long laughter and a blushing Soarin was gained.
Spitfire, thought she heard the voices of her team mates 'oh no what if they saw the whole thing?!' Spitfire thought as she searched her team mates with her orange dazzling eyes,luckily the three Wonderbolts leaved the restaurant before Spitfire would see them. "Something wrong, Spitfire?" Roseluck asked the Wonderbolt captain "No, i'm fine, Roseluck i just thought i heard somepony" Spitfire said turning her gaze to Roseluck "Spitfire, thanks" said Roseluck, "for what?" Spitfire teased "F-for that.. um" Roaeluck said shyly "What? i didn't catch that?" Spitfire teased and, finally Roseluck was defeated "T-t-thanks for the..the kiss Spitfire! The kiss,i'm really glad, i'm friends with benefits with a skillful Wonderbolt" said, Roseluck fading all the blushes still on her cheeks and letting out a soft giggle.
"But, Spitfire.. I can't do this anymore, I have found someone worthy and.. I love him" said Roseluck as she stared at the Wonderbolt "I understand, Roseluck" said Spitfire, quite happy that her friend had find a pony that is right for her " and i'm happy for you, for both of you" Roseluck kissed her friend in the forehead "Don't worry.. You'll find yours" Roseluck leaved Spitfire with a a doubt 'now who's gonna cuddle me?! or kiss me, now Roseluck is gone? i really bucking need to a stable relationship' Spitfire let out a long sigh. Spitfire flew back to the Wonderbolt's training grounds and started to train her fellow Wonderbolts.
The three Stallion flew back to the Wonderbolt's training grounds, and waited for their captain to arrive. The three Wonderbolts saw Spitfire flew at the training grounds "There she is! ok, Soarin you're just gonna ask her out tomorrow for a just a friendly dinner" Rapidfire explained "W-what? but i haven't got anything planned for tomorrow!" Soarin said in wide eyes "ppfftt.. Thats so easy, we got it all covered, but it requires a few bits and, a show" Rapidfire chuckled as he nudged the side of Soarin "Seriously, its not funny and.. Yeah, were ok, with the bits but no watching if, ..if theres gonna be a show.. if.." Soarin said slight red "Aww! come on Soarin, you got it in the bag! " Lightning Streak said as he laughed with his best friend.
"Enough chit-chat Wonderbolts, we got practice!" Spitfire called all the Wonderbolts. Spitfire's voice made Soarin shiver. "Soarin, do fifty laps around that obstacle" Spitfire ordered, "Yes, mam!"with a salute he went off and did what his captain ordered him. Spitfire started ordering a lot of practices of tricks, loops and difficult stunts that made some Wonderbolts spin tumbling to the ground,until they perfected it. "Misty fly! two more loops then, you're done" Spitfire called out, "Fleetfoot!, i said back and forth! not left to right!" Spitfire yelled at the Wonderbolt in front of her.
"I bet, she perfected that 'back and forth' routine" Rapidfire whispered to Lightning Streak,"In her bedroom" he added and soon the two friends were rolling in the Wonderbolt's training ground's cloud-floor. they didn't know Spitfire heard the perverted joke, which Spitfire is definitely used to.
The long exhausting practice was over, and the rest of the Wonderbolt's flew home and some stayed to chat with their team mates. Spitfire went to the Wonderbolt's shower room with a long clean cloth on her neck and placed it in the long bar where all the towels go.
She went to the cubicle where she always went and washed her exhausted body after practices. She turned on the shower, and let the warm water caress and wet the yellow mare's body and mane, she moaned, that made the two buddies, Lightning and Rapidfire's ears perk up, Rapidfire thought of a little revenge, they hid her towel and dashed laughing outside.
"Hey, guys what are you laughing at?" Soarin asked out of nowhere "N-nothing.." Lightning streak lied "Ok then, well i'm heading at the shower room, and i'll ask Spit later" Soarin grinned "We'll plan the dinner later too, see ya" Soarin trotted to the Shower room and chooses an unoccupied cubicle. 'No pony seems to be here, great'
Lightning Streak looked at Rapidfire "Are you bucking thinking, what i bucking thinking?" Lightning grinned at his friend with a half-closed eye "Yep, Lightning Streak, i'm indeed bucking thinking, what you are bucking thinking" the two shared an evil laugh, hoof-bumped,Lightning Streak whispered something and the two went on to their mischievous plan.
"Ok,you got the keys?" Rapidfire whispered "Yeah,got them" said Lightning Streak with a nod "All the towels from the drawer?" said Rapidfire "Got all of that shit, right here" Lightning saluted before proceeding to their plan. They walked to the shower room in tip-toe so they wouldn't make any sounds, they locked the shower room very gently and leaving the two ponies inside, and they dashed outside, and the two automatically burst out of laughter once they were away from the shower room.
"Do you think,Soarin and Spitfire will be mad at us?" Lightning Streak said holding his laughter "I think that's the best part! haha!" Rapidfire laughing uncontrollably on the ground "Hey! you know that there's a security-spy whatnot camera in the shower room right?" Rapidfire went to Lightning's gaze and smiled widely as he stand up in all fours "Sweet Celestia! good thing I've met you!" the two giggled "Race ya there!" and the two raced through were the security camera's are being watched.
Spitfire finished applying soap at her skin and was ready to wash it off, she turned the shower. Soarin heard the shower being turned on 'Oh.. maybe its fleetfoot.. wait' Soarin imagined fleetfoot dripping wet with soapy suds and not satisfied, he replaced it with his crush, Spitfire, the thought made him blush, he reached out beetween his legs an- 'No! not here Soarin! for Celestia's sake! try to be bucking decent for once' he turned on the shower and started scrubbing his hooves. Now two ponies know that there was another pony that companies each other in the shower room 'hope its someone sexy' Spitfire hoped.
The two perverted buddies went to the security room panting "Lightning, Rapidfire? what are you doing here? you should be home" said a familiar security guard. Lightning and Rapidfire looked at each other and back on the security guard, thanks to Lightning's fast and critical thinking, he immediately come-up with a convincing story.
"You're off today" Lightning said with confidence "Spitfire punished us, she said that we should guard the whole night and s-she also said that y-you should take the day-off or night-off rather" Lightning finished with a grin and his buddy is grinning at the security guard as well. "Is that so? well this is a very good punishment,ahaha! are you two sure that you could handle it? this is not easy as it looks like." the security guard said with a concerned look "We handled Spitfire's rage! this will be a piece of cake"said Rapidfire beamed at the security guard . "O-ok good luck you two" he trotted to the door smiled and waved goodbye to the two Wonderbolt.
"you know, i really feel ba-" Rapidfire was caught off-guard "We are doing him a favour, Soarin and Spitfire too! maybe Soarin and Spitfire will be together, and in the end they will be thanking us" said Lightning "Yeeaah, maybe you're right" Rapidfire nodded "of course i'm right".
The two finally found where the camera's of the shower room lies, the camera didn't show who's inside of the cubicle, it shows the long sink, the mirror, the emptied drawer and the door of the five cubicles. Suddenly, one of the doors opened that revealed the soaking wet Spitfire, and now the two stallions are literally drooling "Ok, thats so freakin' hot!" said Lightning Streak "This needs a popcorn" Rapidfire replied as he watched with his friend "How about chips?" said Lightning streak holding a large bag of chips out of nowhere "Great! where'd you get that?" Rapidfire raised an eyebrow "Just saw this in the drawer of the security guard, i'm sure he wouldn't mind".
Spitfire got out of the cubicle, and searched for her towel, she saw the place where exactly where she put them, her towel was gone, all of the towels gone "What the buck?!" Spitfire's cursing was heard where Soarin lies, Soarin slightly blushed as the imagination of Spitfire dashed through his perverted mind. "S-spitfire?" Soarin called out as he turned off his shower waiting for a response, "Soarin, do you have a towel brought with you?" Spitfire said with an annoyed tone "yeah, i got one, its in the towel rack, go get it" Soarin replied "There's none! even in the drawers" Spitfire said following with long groan that Soarin thought that it was pretty cute. "What? no towel? i'm sure there is some in the drawers" said Soarin washing all the suds from his body and going out of the cubicle.
the first thing he saw, was a dripping wet Spitfire, even hotter with a mane that's is wet, completely missing the spiked hair, he absolutely loved, and that wet silky peachy flan- "Soarin! stop looking at my flank or.. me like that!" Spitfire blushed, that Soarin thought was plain adorable, he chose to tease his captain for a while "I-it was just so.. distracting, in a good way, that is" Soarin half lidded eyes and Lightning's signature flirtatious grin made the yellow mare to blush deeply almost as red as tomato and aslo the fact, that Soarin body was indeed as wet she was right now . "J-just help me find a towel" said Spitfire turning her gaze away from his best friend "fine" Soarin replied with a bored tone, as he trotted up to the drawers and helped Spitfire to find a single towel.
"Nothing.. maybe we-"with wide eyes, Soarin mind just dashed a recent memory "oh no" Spitfire looked at Soarin "What is it?" said Spitfire with a concerned look "Can you, check the doors if its locked?" said Soarin said with worry on his face, Spitfire face was blushing harder every second "W-why? why would you want this to be lock- ah!" Spitfire tried to open the door, but it was lock "How the hay we are- Soarin! what are you planning?! are you-" Spitfire was stopped by a light blue hoof "Spitfire i swear i got nothing to do with this!" Soarin defended himself as she tried calmed Spitfire down "I-if you're not the one who done this, then who?!" Spitfire said as she backed away slowly from her friend "Come on Spit, you know i wouldn't do such a thing! and plus, i saw Lightning and Rapid holding a towel and laughing before i got here" Soarin said with a sincere face "Lightning and Rapifire?! Oh! those two are gonna get it!" Spitfire returning to her proper face colour.
Its been two minutes they are awkwardly sitting and leaning their backs at the door, while at the camera room the two Wonderbolts are pissed "Come on, Soarin! make a bucking move!"said Rapidfire as he filled his mouth with chips again. The captain of the Wonderbolts finally broke the long awkward silence " Soarin, w-why in Celestia would they lock us together?" Soarin went his gaze to his captain "I mean, they know we are friends and.. Why?" Soarin searched for the right excuse or an expertly made-up story but he know Spitfire knew him very much to know he was lying 'there's no turning back now Soarin, you got to tell her the truth.. Or she'll be with somepony, thats not.. Me..' "Because, they know that i have.. F-feelings for you, S-spitfire, i think t-thats why" said Soarin as he stared at Spitfire's dazzling, orange eyes forming in to a shocked expression "F-feelings? Soarin, you have feelings for me?" Soarin nodded for a reply and the two stared at each other's eyes "I have feelings for you, Spitfire, i kept pushing them because, i was afraid it may destroy our friendship, and the fact that you are not that straight" Soarin said with a light chuckle Spitfire blush forming again.
"But still, you don't need to hide it, i mean.. Soarin, i would love, to date my best friend" Spitfire smiled at him, at first Soarin thought he would burst into flames in happiness, he felt like he won a competition hundred times and he felt for a second, this maybe was a dream, that he wished that would never stop "R-really?! Spitfire, you had no idea how happy i'm, thank you, for giving me a chance, thanks" Soarin hugged Spitfire feelings each other's warmth calmed the place, brought peace to their mind. Soarin backed and the two giggled after they are done hugging, Soarin saw the beautiful mare deeply looking into his eyes also, he felt like he wanted something more from Spitfire , he felted like he wanted to kiss Spitfire. 'Just make this relationship nice, serious and slow Soari-' before Soarin could finish his thoughts he felt a soft lips pressing against his. His eyes was wide until realization struck him.
He opened his mouth as Spitfire's lips begged for enter, their tongues met and danced together in a playful way, their tongues swirled around each other and Spitfire's mouth was pressed again and her hooves were in Soarin's shoulders to pull Soarin in for a deep kiss, Soarin have fallen gently into the shower room's floor while Spitfire was pinning him, as they continued their kiss, Soarin felt amazing, he felt like Spitfire's lips was for him and his was for her, the kiss felt right.
Spitfire broke the kiss as a trail of saliva fallen in Soarin's mouth, both blushing and both mentally laughing at the sight. Soarin felt disappointed that it was over and felt like leaning for the taste of Spitfire's lips once more but he painfully restraint himself "I'm so fast, am i?" said Spitfire and the two chuckled "Nah, just right" said Soarin couldn't help himself leaning for a kiss until a yellow hoof stopped him "Save that for our first date will ya?" Spitfire giggled as she saw the pouting Soarin. She helped Soarin stand on all fours again and chatted and waited until the door opens.
Meanwhile at the camera room "What?!! the hay?! that's it?! what the buck is that? aren't they suppose to be crawling in top of each other and Soari-" Rapidfire was caught off- guard "You can't blame them, Rapidfire they want a serious relationship, and i really feel bad right now" said Lightning giving Rapidfire they keys "Come on, lets go" and with that, the two darted off to the shower room carrying the empty chip bags for them to throw somewhere.
