Chapter 1
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville one of the most great plaices in Equestria one of the most famous places in Ponyville was Sweet Apple Acers here the element of honesty Applejack lived here with her brother Big Macintosh, her younger sister Applebloom, and her grandmother Granny Smith. On this particular day Applejack and her sister were finishing up the work at the farm from this years apple buck season when a rainbow color pegasus flew down to them.
"Hey Rainbow Dash what's up?" Asked Applejack.
"There is going to a big thunderstorm soon and I just came here to warn you." She said.
Applejack, Applebloom, and Rainbow Dash looked up at the sky and sure enough the pegasus ponies were pushing clouds for the thunderstorm for that day.
"Ok thanks for telling us Rainbow."." Said Applejack.
"You're welcome now I must go and tell everypony else about the storm."
And with that Rainbow Dash took off into the air to warn the other ponies about the incoming storm. As soon as Rainbow Dash was out of site Applejack looked at her younger sister.
"Well come on Applebloom we best get the last of the buckets of apples in the barn before the storm comes."
"Ok sis."
Just as they got the last bucket of apples in the barn the thunderstorm came.
(Flash, Flash, Ka-Koom)
A powerful rumble of thunder and flash of lightning made the barn shake and made Applebloom hide under her sister.
"Aw don't worry Applebloom." Applejack said stroking her sisters mane.
"Once we get inside of our house we will be fine ok?"
"O....okay sis." Said Applebloom still shaking a bit.
But before they started to head to the barn door Applebloom heard a rustling sound right behind her and her sister.
"Hey sis did you hear that rustling sound?"
As Applejack and Applebloom turned around and went towards where Applebloom heard the rustling sound they noticed that some apples were missing out of one of the baskets.
"Hey sis look somepony took some of our apples." Applebloom said.
"Your right sis somepony must be in here no doubt about it."
Just then they heard the rustling sound again, this made Applebloom scared.
"Sister I'm scared."
"Don't worry Applebloom I'm going to find out who is in here."
And with that Applejack went to the back of the barn to find the source of the rustling just then when Applejack made her way to where the apple family kept their hay stored she saw apple cores being thrown out of it.
("So the varmint is hiding in the hay.") Applejack said to herself.
As Applejack came closer to the hay pile she could hear crying that sounded like a little colt.
"Applebloom?" Asked Applejack softly.
"Yes sis what is it?"
"Get Big Mac and tell him to get a blanket."
"Why sis?"
"Because I think there's a little colt in this pile of hay."
After Applebloom heard her sister say that there was a little colt in the barn she quickly left the barn and went to the house to tell Macintosh about what she and Applejack found. When Applebloom left the barn Applejack went closer to the pile of hay and when she got closer another apple core flew out of the pile and almost hit her.
"Hello is anypony in there?" She asked.
Just then she saw two blue eyes peeking out of the pile of hay witch made her jump, and made the little colt to hide back into the hay. After Applejack regain her composure she walked back to the pile of hay that the little colt was in and with a soft voice she said.
"It's ok little one I'm not going to hurt you come on out please."
Just then she saw the little colts blue eyes again and this time Applejack smiled.
"Hi there little fella." Applejack said.
Just then another flash of lighting and a rumble of thunder made the colt rush out and rapped his hooves around Applejack's leg.
"Oh there, there now it's ok, it's only the storm outside dear there's nothing to be scared about." Applejack said stroking the little colts red and blue striped mane then she picked him up and started to cradle him in her hooves.
"Do you have a name little one?" She asked.
The colt didn't answer he just nodded his head. Just then Applejack noticed a locket on the cults neck when she looked at it, it had the name Bolt on it.
"Hmm Bolt."
When she said that the colt lifted his head up.
"So Bolt is your name huh?"
The colt didn't say anything he just smiled and nodded at Applejack.
"Well Bolt it's nice to meet you I'm Applejack" Applejack said with a smile on her muzzle.
Just then the colt layed his head down on Applejack's shoulder and drifted off to sleep. Suddenly Applejack heard her sister and her brother coming in the barn.
"AJ I got the blanket you wanted." Said Big Mac.
"Shhhh Big Mac he's sleeping." She said still cradling the colt in her hooves.
"Oh Applejack he is such a cute little colt." Applebloom said.
Applejack looked at the sleeping colt and looked at her sister and smiled.
"Yes he is." She said softly.
Then she looked at Macintosh and grabbed the blanket out of his teeth and wrapped it around the colt to keep him warm.
"There we go that should keep him warm until we get in to the house."
"Well come on AJ it's time for dinner and Granny Smith is waiting." Big Mac said as he and Applebloom left the barn.
Applejack stayed in the barn for a few more minutes just to make sure that Bolt was asleep. When she thought that he was definitely asleep she put him on her back still covered up in the blanket and then she set off to the house. As Applejack opened the door she saw her family sitting down at the table waiting for her.
"Oh you three didn't have to wait for me to eat."
"We know dear but you know I always like it if we eat together as a family." Said the old mare.
"You always say that Granny Smith." Said Applebloom.
"Well any way where is the little youngster at?" Granny Smith asked.
"He's right here on my back." Said Applejack as she pointed to the red blanket.
Just then Granny Smith got out of her chair and walked over to her granddaughter to see the little colt.
"Why Applejack he is the most precious thing I have ever seen, I mean look at his golden fur and his red and blue striped mane."
Before Applejack could answer Granny Smith took the little colt in her hooves and started up the stairs.
"Hey Granny Smith where are you taking Bolt?"
Granny Smith looked at her granddaughter.
"Bolt is that his name?" She asked.
"Yes it is Granny." Applejack said.
"Well I'm just going to take Bolt up here and put him in your bed if that's ok with you sugar?"
"I think that's a great idea and after I get done eating I'll wake him up and see if he wants anything to eat."
And with that Granny Smith continued up the stairs to put the little colt in Applejack's bed. When she got to Applejack's bedroom she opened her door and walked toward her bed. But before Granny Smith could lay Bolt down on the bed she felt him stir.
("Oh dear it looks like he's starting to wake up.") She said to herself.
Sure enough Bolt slowly opened his eyes and mumbled.
"Apple....Applejack?"
Then when he looked up to see Granny Smith he started to shake uncontrollably.
"Oh no dear don't be scared I'm Applejack's grandmother Granny Smith."
As soon as Granny Smith said this Bolt started to calm down. Then Granny Smith started to cradle him in her hooves.
"There now you see sugar? I'm not going to hurt you."
Just then Granny Smith heard Bolt's stomach growl.
"Are you Hungary little one?" She asked Bolt.
"Ye....yes ma'am I am."
"Well then let's go down stairs and get you something to eat."
Back in the kitchen Applejack, Applebloom, and Big Macintosh were just finishing up eating when they heard Granny Smith coming down the stairs but they also heard another pair of hooves coming down the stairs as well.
"Hey dears look who decided to join us for dinner." Granny Smith said looking at Bolt."
When Bolt appeared from behind Granny Smith Applebloom got off her seat and came toward him making him hide behind the old mare again.
"Oh don't be scared Bolt this is my granddaughter Applebloom she's really nice." The old mare said.
Just then Applebloom raised a hoof to where Bolt was hiding and said in a sweet voice.
"Hi Bolt my name is Applebloom it's very nice to meet you."
When Applebloom said those words Bolt slowly came up to the little filly and put his hoof up against Applebloom and said.
"H....hi Applebloom it's v....very n....nice t....to meet y....you."
Applebloom smiled at Bolt and then Big Mac stepped up and put a hoof out as well.
"Hello there young one my name is Big Macintosh but you can call me Big Mac for short."
Bolt smiled up at the big red stallion and shook his hoof as well.
"Well if we are done meeting Bolt lets get the little one some food." Said Applejack.
As Granny Smith, Applejack, Applebloom and Bolt sat down at the table Big Mac was in the kitchen making something for little Bolt.
"So Bolt how and why were you in our barn?" Asked Applejack.
When she said this Bolt's ears and head went down then in a soft voice he said.
"I'd rather not talk about it, it's not a very happy story."
"What do you mean Bolt?" Asked Applebloom.
Bolt looked up at the three farm ponies and started to cry. Applejack then slowly got out of her chair and came up to Bolt and hugged him.
"Shhhh it's ok sweetie you can tell us."
Bolt looked at Applejack and said.
"O....ok Miss Applejack I'll, I'll tell you and your family everything."
Just then before Bolt could tell his story Big Mac came in with Bolt's food.
"Here you go youngen I hope you like hay fries, dandelion and daisy sandwich, and apple juice." He said.
Bolt looked up at Big Mac and smiled.
"Thanks Big Mac."
"You are quite welcome Bolt."
Then Big Mac sat back down on his chair.
"So Bolt you were about to tell us why you were in our barn." Said Big Macintosh.
"Oh yeah well my story begins when my parents and I were camping for my sixth birthday before we came to Ponyville to live."
"Really where are you from Bolt?" Asked Applebloom.
"I'm from Apple Loosa."
"Apple Loosa do you know a pony named Braeburn?" Asked Applejack.
"Yes I do he use to bring us Apples every week. Why?"
"Well he's my cousin."
"Oh I didn't know that you and he were cousins he never told us."
"Well anyway sugar tell us what happen to you on your birthday." Said Granny Smith.
And this was the story that Bolt told them.
"It was about two days ago my dad Billy Hoof Feathers, my mom Caroline Hoof feathers, and I were camping ten miles out of Ponyville and we were having a wonderful time until that fateful day the last day on my camping birthday present.

Hey dad can I go and get some more fire wood?" Asked Bolt.
"Of course son but be careful."
"Don't worry dad I will."
Hoof Feathers watched as his son went to get fire wood.
"Hey honey where is Bolt?" Caroline said.
"He went to get some fire wood."
Caroline shook her head.
"I tell yea he is always willing to help."
Billy looked at his wife and nodded. Just then they heard their son screaming.
"BOLT!!" They screamed as they heard a loud roar of a bear in the distance.
"Oh no come on Caroline let's go." Billy said to his wife as they head off to save their son.
As they arrived at the place where they heard their son screaming they saw the bear getting ready to strike their son.
"BOLT!!!!" Screamed Caroline.
The bear heard the mares scream then he turned around and saw Billy and Caroline and started to charge at them.
"MOM, DAD LOOK OUT!!" Shouted Bolt.
As the bear reared up its claws Caroline and Billy dodged at him before he could sink its claws into them then Billy turned to his son still hiding behind a tree.
"Son listen to me very carefully I want you to run and go to Ponyville and stay there until we come and get you ok?"
When Bolt heard this he was shocked.
"But dad."
"No buts Bolt if we don't make it out of here alive at least you will be safe."
Bolt looked up at his father with tears in his eyes.
"O....ok dad I love you."
Billy looked at his son and smiled.
"I love you too son."
And with that Bolt ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. With his son gone Billy turned to the bear where it was about to kill his wife. Meanwhile as Bolt ran toward Ponyville he heard screaming behind him then reality set in to him his father and mother must of got killed by the bear but he didn't stop he just kept on running as fast as he could.

"And then when I got to the outskirts of Ponyville I saw your barn and I decided to hide there and well I guess you know the rest of the story."
When Bolt was done with his story Applejack, Applebloom, Big Macintosh, and Granny Smith looked at him with tears in their eyes.
"Oh sugar we're so sorry that happened to you." Said Applejack.
"Eeeyup we are." Said Big Mac.
Bolt looked up at the Apple family and said.
"Thanks but sometimes I think it's my fault that my mom and dad are dead."
When Applejack heard this she was shocked and came over to the weeping earth pony.
"Now you listen here sugarcube it is not your fault you hear me it is not your fault."
Applejack continued to hold Bolt until the young colt cried himself to sleep.
After that Applejack decided to let him sleep in the guest room right across from her room.
"Don't worry Bolt I'll take good care of you I promise."
As Applejack laid Bot in the bed he stired in his sleep.
"Goodnight momma." He whispered.
When Applejack heard this her heart melted and tears started to fall from her eyes.
"Oh Bolt I'm so sorry that this happen to you but don't worry when you meet Applebloom's and my friends you will be happy again."
And with that she left the guest room and went to sleep herself in her room across the hall by Bolt's room.

Chapter 2
As Celestia's sun raised up Applejack awoke with a sound of somepony whimpering.
"Bolt." She whispered as she went to check on the little colt.
As Applejack came in Bolt's room she saw him tossing and turning in his bed.
"Bolt? Hey Bolt wake up." Applejack said.
Then suddenly Bolt woke up with a start saying.
"MOMMY, DADDY NO!!!!"
As Bolt sat up and started to breath hard Applejack came up to him and started to hug him.
"Shhhh it's ok Bolt it was just a dream, it was all just a dream."
"Oh Applejack it was terrible I saw my mom and dad being killed by the bear again." He said as he cried in Applejack's chest.
Just then Applebloom, Big Mac and Granny Smith came into the room to see Applejack holding the still crying Bolt in her hooves.
"Sister is Bolt alright?" Asked Applebloom.
Applejack looked at her sister and said.
"Yes he's alright he just had a bad dream about his parents."
"Oh poor little guy." Said Big Mac.
Just then Granny Smith then walked up to her granddaughter and looked at the still crying colt.
"Are you alright there sugar?" She asked Bolt.
Bolt looked up at the old mare and said.
"Yes Granny Smith I'm alright." Said Bolt as he dried his eyes.
Some time later in the kitchen as the Apple family along with Bolt were finishing up eating breakfast Applejack spoke up.
"Hey Bolt? Would you like to meet my friends today?"
Bolt looked up at Applejack and smiled.
"Yes please Miss Applejack I would love to meet your friends."
"Great and you don't have to call me miss just Applejack." Applejack said with a smile on her face.
"Oh can he also meet my friends too sis?" Asked Applebloom.
"Of course Applebloom." Applejack said.
"YIPPIE!!!!" Said Applebloom happily as she was jumping up and down.
Downtown Ponyville
As Applejack, Applebloom, and Bolt walked downtown they saw the home of Rarity the Carousel Boutique.
"Well here we are Bolt this is the home of my friend Rarity." Said Applejack.
"Yeah and it's also home to her sister and my friend Sweetie Bell." Said Applebloom.
"So are you ready to meet our friends Bolt?" Asked Applejack.
"Yes Applejack I'm ready." Said Bolt still a little nevus.
As Applejack was getting ready to knock on Rarity's door she was nock down by a bluer of pink.
"Hiya Applejack, what's ya doing on this fine day?" Asked the pink pony.
"Pinkie Pie where did you come from?" Asked Applejack.
"Well I was coming to see Rarity when I saw you, Applebloom, and a new pony at the door so I decided to say hello to him. So where is the little guy huh, huh, huh?"
Then she turned around and saw the little colt hiding right behind Applebloom. When she saw him she got off of Applejack and zipped towards the little colt, and stopped right at his face.
"HEEY THERE! WHO ARE YOU? I AM PINKIE PIE, PARTY PONY EXTROARDINAIRE! ARE YOU NEW HERE? I WILL HAVE TO THROW YOU A PARTY! DO YOU LIKE PARTIES? I LOVE PARTIES, AND CAKES, AND GAMES, AND..."
Pinkie Pie was suddenly stopped by Applebloom's hoof.
"Pinkie please your scaring the poor little guy." Applebloom said.
"Now when I let go of your mouth you promise to be calm around him?"
Pinkie then nodded her head and Applebloom let go of her mouth then Applejack started to speak.
"Pinkie Pie this is Bolt his from Apple Loosa, and...."
Before Applejack could finished the rest of Bolt's story Pinkie Pie interrupted her.
"WHAT HE IS FROM APPLE LOOSA? OH, OH, OH APPLEJACK PLAESE, PLAESE, PLAESE TELL ME HE KNOWS BRAEBURN BECAUSE I MISS HIM AND...."
Applejack put her hoof up to Pinkie Pie's mouth and continued to speak.
"Yes Pinkie he knows Braeburn. Now if you don't mind can we get in the Boutique so we can continue his story?"
Pinkie said nothing but nodded then Applejack let go of her mouth and started to knock on the door of the Carousel Boutique.
"Who is it?" Said a voice behind the Carousel doors.
"Rarity it's me Applejack with Pinkie Pie, Applebloom, and a new pony."
"Hold on darling I'll be right there." Said Rarity from behind the door of the Carousel Boutique.
As Applejack, Applebloom, Pinkie Pie, and Bolt were waiting for Rarity to open the door they could hear somepony complain inside.
"OW RARITY WATCH WHAT YOUR DOING WITH THOSE NEEDLES!!!!"
"Oops sorry Rainbow."
After hearing what was going on in the Boutique Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Applebloom rolled their eyes excepted for Bolt who just liked at them with a confusing look on his face. Just then the door of the Boutique opened and Rarity was standing in the entrance.
"Hello Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Applebloom," she said and then she looked at Bolt.
"Oh and who is this little cutie?" She asked.
"Rarity this is Bolt, Bolt this is my friend Rarity," Applejack said.
"Um h....hello m....miss R....Rarity," said Bolt, a little nevus.
"Oh now darling there is no need to be nevus around me," said Rarity, with a smile on her face.
"Hey Rarity? Is Sweetie Bell here?" Asked Applebloom.
"Yes she is even Scootaloo is here as well," Rarity said.
"Alright," said Applebloom.
With that she ran past Rarity and went to see her friends.
"Well come on in I have some tea, some cookies, and some milk already," said Rarity.
"Thank ya kindly Rarity," said Applejack as she and Bolt came in to see Rainbow Dash just getting out of her dress.
"Howdy there Rainbow," said Applejack.
"Oh hey there Aj," said Rainbow, then she saw Bolt next to Applejack.
"Hey Aj whose the kid?" Dash asked.
"Oh my apologies Rainbow, this is Bolt. I found him all alone in the barn last night." Applejack said.
"Wait you found him alone in your barn? But where are his parents?" Rainbow asked.
When Rainbow said that Bolt started to cry.
"Hey what's wrong with him? What did I do?" Rainbow asked, a little concerned with Bolt.
As Applejack hold Bolt in her hooves she told Rainbow and Rarity what Bolt told her and her family. As Applejack finished Rarity and Rainbow Dash Gasped.
"Oh how terrible," said Rarity.
"Not just terrible but uncool as well," said Rainbow Dash.
Just then Applebloom and her friends came in to see what was going on.
"Uh sis, what's wrong with Bolt?" Applebloom asked, as she saw the little earth pony crying into Applejack's shoulder.
"Rainbow asked about Bolt's parents Applebloom," said Applejack.
"Oh no." said Applebloom.
"No it's ok she just didn't know," said Bolt as he wiped his eyes.
As Bolt finished drying his eyes Rainbow came up to him.
"I'm sorry to hear what happened to your parents Bolt," she said.
"It's ok Rainbow," said Bolt.
"So what did happen to your parents little guy?" Asked one of Applebloom's friends whose name was Scootaloo.
When she said that every pony gave her a stern look.
"What, what did I say?" Asked Scootaloo.
"You know very well what you said Scootaloo," said Rainbow Dash.
"Oh," said Scootaloo, who was now ashamed of what she had just said.
"I'm so sorry Bolt," Scootaloo said, with tears in her eyes.
But Bolt walked up to her and said.
"It's ok Scootaloo, if you want to know what happen to my parents I can tell you," he said.
"Are you sure you want to tell Applebloom's friends about what happened to your parents Bolt?" Asked Pinkie Pie.
"Yes I'm sure Pinkie," said Bolt.
With that Bolt took a deep breath and told Scootaloo and a white filly whose name was Sweetie Bell all about what happened to his parents. When he finished his story they had tears running down their cheeks.
"Oh how terrible," Said Scootaloo.
"Yeah I can't imagine a life with out my parents or my sister," said Sweetie Bell.
Bolt nodded and then Applejack spoke up.
"So Rainbow, what's with the dress?"
"Well its for the Wonder Bolt's festival in Canterlot," Rainbow said, with a smile on her face.
"Oh wow that sounds cool, I'm a big Wonder Bolt fan," said Bolt.
"Really? That is so awsome, maybe I can ask Twilight to put a cloud walking spell on you so we can go together," Rainbow Dash said.
We'll speeking of which we are going to see Twilight and Fluttershy now, so we'll see you all soon." Said Applejack.
Just then Rarity shouted.
"OH NO!!!!"
"What's wrong Rarity?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"I forgot that Celestia's coming today and she needed to see all of us," said the white unicorn.
"Oh no, she can't see little Bolt she mite take him to the orphanage," said Pinkie Pie.
"Yeah I mean he's to piracies to go to an orphanage," said Applejack.
Just then Applebloom had an idea.
"Well what about me, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo take Bolt to our clubhouse and then sis when you are done talking to the princess you can come and pick us up," she said.
Applejack thought for a moment and then said.
"Alright sis but be carful ok,"
"Don't worry sis we will be ok," said Applebloom.
With that Applebloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo took Bolt and set off to their clubhouse.
"Well come on guys and lets see what Celestia wants," said Rainbow, as she lift the Carousel Boutique with Applejack and Rarity trialing far be hide.
When the Applebloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo made it to their clubhouse with Bolt they looked at him with happy expressions on their faces.
"So Bolt, are you ready?" Asked Sweetie Bell sweetly.
"Um ready for what Sweetie Bell?" He asked.
"Well to be inducted into the Cutie Mark Crusaders Bolt," said Scootaloo.
"Uh the cutie what?" Asked Bolt.
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders Bolt," said Applebloom.
"It's the name of our group Bolt, you see we do things to try to get our cutie marks," said Applebloom.
"Oh I see now," Bolt said.
"So how bout it Bolt?" Asked Scootaloo.
"Sure, why not," he said, with a smile on his muzzle.
"Then Bolt welcome to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, " said Sweetie Bell happily, and then they all cheered.
After Bolt was welcomed to the Cutie Mark Crusaders they had a wonderful time trying to find what their special talents from trying to bungee jump, to swimming. But I'm sorry to say they didn't their cutie marks, it was late in the evening when they got back from another day of crusading.
"Oh wow that was so amazing," said Bolt happily, as he was still bouncing around the clubhouse.
"Well we are glad that you had a great time today Bolt," said Applebloom.
Just then a knock came at the clubhouse door.
"I'll get it," said Sweetie Bell.
As she opened it their was Applejack.
"Oh hey Applejack," said Sweetie Bell.
"Hello Sweetie Bell," said the farm pony, then she saw Bolt coming up to her.
"Hey Ms. Applejack, is it time for me and Applebloom to head back to the farm?" He asked.
Applejack looked into the blue eyes of Bolt and said.
"Yes surgarcube, it is time to head back."
"Ok sis we're coming," said Applebloom.
With that Bolt and Applebloom said goodbye to Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo, and then they head back to Sweet Apple Acers with Applejack. As they were heading back to the farm Applebloom saw that her sister looked sad.
"Um Applejack? What's wrong?" She asked.
Applejack looked down at her little sis and then said.
"I'll tell you back at the house," she said.
As Applejack, Applebloom, and Bolt got back to the farmhouse Big Macintosh and Granny Smith were their waiting for them.
"Well there you three are. Did Bolt have a good time?" Asked Granny Smith.
Bolt came up to Granny Smith and said in his most happiest voice.
"Yes I hade Granny Smith."
"Really? What did you do?" Asked Big Mac.
"Oh boy after I met Applejack and Applebloom's friends they took me to the clubhouse. There I was inducted into the Cutie Mark Crusaders, said Bolt, happily.
"And let me guess you joined them in their crazy search for your cutie mark?" Asked Granny Smith.
"Yup I did," Bolt said.
"Ok Bolt, you go and get ready to eat," said Applejack.
"Yes ma'am," said Bolt, as he left to get ready to eat.
When Bolt was out of site Applejack turn to the rest of her family.
"There is something I need to tell you three," she said.
"Really? what is it Applejack?" Asked Big Mac.
Applejack took a deep breath and said.
"well you see while Applebloom and her friends took Bolt to their clubhouse me, Rainbow Dash and Rarity went to see Twilight because Celestia was there to talk to us about something."
"Really?" What kind of something sis?" Asked Applebloom.
"Well she said that two unidentified pony bodies were found two days ago," Applejack said.
As Applejack said that Granny Smith, Big Macintosh, and Applebloom looked at her nervously.
"Oh Applejack, please tell us it wasn't the bodies of Bolt's parents," said Granny Smith.
Applejack said nothing she just stood there with tears in her eyes which made Applebloom, Big Macintosh, and Granny Smith gasp.
"So what are we going to tell little Bolt?" Asked Big Mac.
"I'll tell him after we eat," said Applejack.
"Very well Applejack, now lets go and eat," said Granny Smith.
With that Applejack, Big Mac, Granny Smith, and Applebloom went inside where they found Bolt sitting down at the table.
"Hey what kept you three?" Bolt Asked.
"Oh nothing dear, Applejack just told us about what the princess wanted," said Granny Smith.
"Really? What did she say?" He asked.
"Don't worry Bolt, I'll tell you after we eat," said Applejack.
With that they sat down and started to eat, as they were eating Blot noticed that their was something troubling Applejack.
"Um Applejack, are you ok?" He asked.
Applejack looked at the young earth pony and said.
"Bolt, come outside with me there is something I need to tell you."
"Um ok Applejack," Bolt said, a little concerned of what Applejack, wanted to tell him.
As Applejack and Bolt went outside, Applejack started to cry.
"Applejack? What's wrong?" Asked Bolt.
Applejack took a deep breath and said.
"Bolt, hun I....I've got some bad news."
"Wha....what kind of bad news Applejack?" Bolt asked.
"Well when me, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash were at my friend Twilight's house to see Princess Celestia, she informed us that her guards found two unidentified pony bodies two days ago."
After Applejack said that Bolt started to get scared.
"Did....did Celestia find out who they are?" He asked.
"Yes Bolt,"
"Was it, was it my parents?"
"Yes," Applejack said softly and sadly.
As soon as Applejack said that Bolt started to cry.
"Oh Bolt please don't cry," Applejack said, trying to console the little colt.
A few minutes later Bolt had cried himself to sleep into Applejack's hooves.
"Oh Bolt, I'm so sorry," she said, as she put him on her back and took him back to the house.
As Applejack arrived back to the house with Bolt, Applebloom, Granny Smith, and Big Macintosh were their waiting.
"Well what happened sis?" Asked Applebloom.
*Sigh* "He didn't take it to well Applebloom." Applejack said.
After hearing that Applebloom started to cry.
"So what are we going to do?" Asked Big Mac.
"Simple, I'm going to tell the princess about Bolt and then I'm going to ask her if i could be Bolt's adopted mother," said Applejack.
When she said that Applebloom, Granny Smith, and Big Macintosh were looking at her with worried looks.
"Um Applejack, surger are you sure that this is what you want?" Asked Granny Smith.
Applejack took a deep breath and then said.
"Yes granny, this is what I want for both Bolt and me."
"Well then sugarcube if that's what you want then I'm alright with it," Granny Smith said."
"Does thant mean that I'm going to be an aunt?" Asked Applebloom.
"Yes little sis that is what it means," said Applejack.
"YIPPIE!!!!" Said Applebloom, happily.
Then Applejack turned to her brother.
"So what about you Big Mac? How do you feel about being an uncle?"
"I would like that very much Aj," Big Macintosh said.
Applejack smiled at her family and said.
"Alright but lets not tell Bolt alright because I want it to be a surprise."
Applebloom, Granny Smith, and Big Macintosh, looked at Applejack and nodded.
"Great now I'm going to put Bolt to bed and then I'm going to bed myself," she said.
"Alright sugar goodnight," said Granny Smith.
"Goodnight Granny and Goodnight Applebloom, and Big Macintosh."
"Goodnight," said Applebloom and Big Macintosh.
With that Applejack went upstairs with Bolt still asleep on her back. When she got to the bedroom and placed Bolt in bed she gave him a kiss on the cheek and said in a sweet voice.
"Goodnight Bolt and I can't wait to see your reaction when you hear that i want to be your new mother."
With that Applejack turned and went to bed thinking of the new life she was going to have with Bolt.

Chapter 3
The next day Applejack awoke with some pony tapping on her hoof, as she opened her eyes she saw Bolt up and about.
"Well good morning Bolt," Applejack said softly."
"Good morning to you too Applejack," Bolt said happily.
"I can tell by your attitude that you didn't have any bad dreams."
"Nope not a single one," Bolt said, giving the farm pony a smile."
"So Bolt, why are you up this early?" Asked Applejack.
"Oh Granny Smith asked me to come in and wake you cause it's time to eat, so come on," Bolt said, as he pulled Applejack out of bed.
"Ok Bolt, ok just settle down," Applejack said, as she was being pulled by the young colt.
In the kitchen Granny Smith was just getting done setting up the table when she saw Bold pulling Applejack to the table.
"Well I see that some pony is excited about something," said the old mare.
"Yeah Granny Smith, Applebloom is going to take me cusadin with her friends again, and this time we are going to get our cutie marks," Bolt said happily.
"Well I'm sure you two will have a great time today Bolt," said Big Macintosh.
"Right you are big brother," said Applebloom, who just came out of the bathroom.
"All right you two but now it's time to eat," said Applejack.
After breakfast done Bolt got up and rushed to the door.
"Come on Applebloom, we don't wanna be late," he said.
"Ok Bolt, just give me a sec," said Applebloom, as she turned to her big sis.
"Applejack, what do you think Bolt's reaction will be when finds out about you wanting be be his new mother?" She asked.
Applejack smiled at her sister and said.
"I think his reaction will be both happy and sad but at lest he will not be lonely no more," she said.
With that Applebloom set off with Bolt while Applejack set off to tell Twilight to send a letter to the princess. When Applebloom and Bolt got to the clubhouse they saw Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo there waiting for them.
"Hey you two, you made it," said Scootaloo.
"Yep we made it. So did Sweetie Bell make the surprise for Bolt" Asked Applebloom.
"Yep she did," Scootaloo said.
When Bolt heard that the Cutie Mark Crusaders had a surprise for him, his eyes opened wide.
"You guys got me a surprise?" Asked Bolt
"Yep we sure did Bolt," said Applebloom.
"But first you will have to close your eyes," said Scootaloo.
So Bolt did as he was told and Applebloom and Scootaloo took him in the clubhouse.
"Ok Bolt open your eyes," Scootaloo and Applebloom said together.
As Bolt opened his eyes he saw Sweetie Bell on a podium.
"Wha....what is this?" He asked.
"This is your corrination to the Cutie Mark Crusaders Bolt," said Sweetie Bell.
When Bolt heard this his eyes opened wide.
"My, my coronation to the Cutie Mark Crusaders?" He asked.
"Yep that's right Bolt," said Applebloom.
"Wow thanks you guys," said Bolt.
"Oh your welcome little guy," said Scootaloo.
Just then Sweetie Bell spoke up.
"Bolt? We the Cutie Mark Crusaders nominate you as a new member, do you except?"
When Bolt heard that he said in a happy tone.
"Yes I do except to be a Cutie Mark Crusader."
With that Sweetie Bell stepped out of the podium and gave Bolt a cape.
"There you go Bolt, now your a Cutie Mark Crusader."
Bolt looked at his Cutie Mark Crusader cape and grind.
"Wow this is great thanks you guys."
"YOUR WELCOME BOLT!!!!" The Cutie Mark Crusaders said together.
A few hours after Bolt's coronation there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it," said Sweetie Bell.
As she opened the door Applejack was standing their.
"Oh hi Applejack what are you doing here?" Asked the white filly.
"I'm here to take Bolt to see Twilight and Fluttershy Sweetie Bell," said the farm pony.
Just then Bolt, Applebloom, and Scootaloo came to the door.
"Sis? what are you doing her?" Applebloom asked.
"I came here because Twilight and Fluttershy wants to see little Bolt little sis," said Applejack.
"Well then what are we waiting for? I would love to see your last two friends Applejack," said Bolt.
Then Scootaloo spoke up.
"Can we come too?" She asked.
"I don't see why not," said Applejack.
"YAY!!!!" Screamed the Cutie Mark Crusaders, along with Bolt.
They screamed so loud that Applejack had to cover her ears.
"Ok you four come on it's getting late," she said, as she headed towards Twilight's tree house.
"Hey sis wait for us," said Applebloom, as she, Bolt, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo ran after her.
As the gang made it to Twilight's tree house they saw Twilight waiting for them.
"Oh your here," Twilight said, as Applejack came with Bolt, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
As Bolt came closer to Twilight he saw that she was and alicorn princess which made his eyes widen in amassment.
"Yes Twilight, and I've brought Bolt," Applejack said, as she motioned Bolt to let Twilight have a good look at him.
As Bolt walked over to Twilight he felt a little nerves because he had never seen a princess before.
"Um H.....hello P......Princess T....Twilight," he nervously said, with a bow.
Twilight smiled at the young colt and patted his head.
"Oh please Bolt, there is no need to bow to me," she said to the young colt.
Hearing that Bolt shot up from his bow, as so as he did that every pony laughed including him.
Just then the door opened and their was Pinkie Pie.
"Hey Twilight we're ready," said the party pony.
"Ready? Ready for what?" Asked Bolt.
"You'll see surgarcube," said Applejack.
As the group of ponies came into Twilight's tree house they saw Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, and to Bolt's horror Princess Celestia. When the princess saw Bolt she started to come up towards him with a smile on her face.
"Hello Bolt, it is nice to finally meet you, for your family has told me so much about you," she said.
When the ponies heard that Celestia knew Bolt's family there mouths went to the floor.
"Wait a minute Celestia, you knew Bolt's parents?" Asked Rarity.
"Yes I did, they were my guards until they decided to start a family of their own, but even when they started a family together we still kipped in touched until this," said Celestia, with sadness in her voice.
"Bolt, you never told us that your parents were Celestia's royal guards," said Sweetie Bell.
"Well I actually didn't know either Sweetie Bell," Said Bolt.
Then Bolt turned back to Celestia and said.
"So I'm guessing that the reason your here is to take me to an orphanage right princess?" Asked Bolt.
When Celestia heard this she giggled.
"No my little pony, your not going to an orphanage."
Bolt could not believe what he was hearing.
"I....I'm not?" Asked Bolt.
"No, in fact Applejack has something to tell you," said the princess of the sun.
As she hared her name Applejack came up to Bolt's side and said in her sweetest voice.
"Bolt when you came here I vowed that I would protect you with my life, and that's what I'm going to do," said the farm pony.
"Dose that mean what I think it means?" Asked Bolt with happiness in his eyes.
Applejack smiled at Bolt and said.
"Yes Bolt I want to adopt you."
With those words Bolt came up and hugged Applejack's leg and cried tears of joy.
"Oh thank you Applejack, thank you so very much."
Applejack smiled at Bolt and rubbed his mane.
"Your welcome my little Bolt," she said with tears in her eyes.
As every pony watched the two they all started to cry but Pinkie Pie Cried the hardest. After a few minutes Bolt let go of Applejack's leg but still had tears of joy in his eyes.
"So dose this means I have to call you momma from now on huh?" Asked Bolt.
Applejack Smiled and Rubbed the last of her tears out of her eyes and nodded, as the ponies watched Pinkie spoke up.
"You know this calls for a party and I think I know where it can be held at,"
"Really Pinkie where?" Asked Fluttershy.
"Well duh at Canterlot silly," said Pinkie.
"That's a great idea Pinkie," said Rainbow Dash.
"Yeah since Bolt's family used to be in Canterlot, it's only fair we have the party their," said Rarity.
Twilight looked at Celestia and asked.
"What do you think princess?"
Celestia looked at all the ponies in the room which all of them had hopeful looks in their eyes.
"Of course we can have a party at Canterlot and while the party is going I can set up the adoption papers for Applejack to sign to be Bolt's new mother," she said, with a smile on her face.
"HURRAY!!!!" Shouted every pony.
"Come on every pony lets get ready to go to Canterlot," said Pinkie Pie.
With that every pony went home to get ready to go to Canterlot for Bolt's welcome to Ponyville and Apple family party.
(Ponyville outskirts that night.)
Every pony was waiting on the outskirts of Ponyville for the carriage to take them to Canterlot.
"Oh pony fathers, where is that carriage," Scootaloo said impatiently.
"Now, now be patient quart," Rainbow Dash said.
"They are just running late."
Just then a bright light flashed behind the group of ponies, as they turned around they saw a slender, serpent-like figure with mismatched limbs, horns and wings smiling at them.
*Gasp* "DISCORD!!!!" They said in shock.
"Why hello my pony friends," said the draconquus, as he came up to them and hugged them a little bit too tight.
"Um Discord?" Asked Fluttershy.
"Yes Fluttershy?" Asked the draconquus.
"Your holding us to tight."
"Oops, so sorry," said Discord, as he put his pony friends back down gently on the ground.
"What are you doing here anyway Discord?" Asked Twilight.
"Why my dear Twilight, I'm here to bring you and your friends to Canterlot," smiled Discord.
"Wait, you are our carriage?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"Ding, ding, ding, that's right," Said Discord, as he ringed a little bell that he made appear.
"But why are you are our carriage?" Asked Applejack.
"Well you see Applejack everybody was so busy on getting this little colts welcome to Ponyville slash Apple family party that they couldn't come to get you all, so Celestia asked me to come and get you all."
Just then Discord went down to bolt's level and said.
"Hello young one my name is...."
But before Discord could say his name Bolt finished it.
"Discord lord of chaos, I've heard of you."
"Oh well then never mind then, oh and by the way I'm terribly sorry about your family," said Discord, as he made a handkerchief a peer and blew his nose with it.
After that he snapped is lion paw and their was a carriage with him dressed like a coachmen.
"Alright you all, all aboard," he said.
With those words Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Bolt, Applebloom, Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Twilight got into the carriage and set off to Canterlot. As they flew to Canterlot Bolt looked at the everything in amazement.
"Wow Applejack, everything looks wonderful from way up here."
Applejack smiled at Bolt and said.
"I'm glade Bolt, everything dose look great from up here."
"You are going to like Canterlot Bolt, It is beautiful," said Rarity.
"I'm sure I will like it too Rarity," said Bolt.
Just then they heard Discords voice.
"Well my little pony friends we're here."
When Bolt heard that they were at Canterlot he looked out of the carriage and stared in amazement at the city.
"Wow it is so beautiful here," he said happily.
As Bolt continued to look on he could see every pony going to the castle.
"Hey Applejack are all of those ponies their for my party?" He asked.
Applejack looked at the ponies who were going into the castle and said to Bolt.
"I think so dear, I mean Celestia spired the news about you all though Canterlot well except the part of you being the parents of Celestia's royal guards."
"I see, well I'm glad to see that she didn't say that I was the child of two of her royal guards," said Bolt.
"I can understand that Bolt, for if I found out that my parents where members of Celestia's royal guards I would not know what to think," said Applejack.
Just then the carriage suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed on the castle with a laud thud.
"DISCORD!!!!" Shouted the ponies except for Pinkie Pie and Bolt who were jumping up and down.
"WOW, that was great let's do that again," they said happily, receiving glares from the others.
Rainbow Dash flew right up to Discord's face and shouted.
"GEEZ DISCORD, WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR CARRIAGE LICENSE?!"
"Whoa come down their Dash, I never had any training in landing a carriage yet," said Discord.
"Oh why you......." Rainbow Dash was about to hit Discord until Fluttershy stopped her.
"Now, now Rainbow, let's not fight in front of the kids ok?"
Rainbow Dash grown until she put her hoof down.
"Fine but hear this Discord if you ever to something like that again I will pulverize you," she said putting her hoof up to Discord's face.
"Alright fine, geez could you ponies ever take a joke?" Asked Discord, as he walked in the palace fallowed by the ponies.
When they came in the palace they saw Celestia and Luna waiting for them.
"Ah you made it, did you all enjoy you trip?" Asked Celestia.
Every pony just looked at her until Rarity said.
"Uh defy enjoy your trip please," she said.
"What did Discord do now?" Asked Luna.
"Let's just say he almost gave us all whiplashes," said Twilight.
When Celestia and Luna heard this they tried very hard not to laugh.
"Anyway is my brother and Cadence here?" Asked the purple unicorn.
Celestia shook her head.
"I'm sorry Twilight they had to go a last minute meeting at the Crystal Empire but some pony else is here from his trip," she said.
Just then a young dragon appeared right next to the princesses.
"Spike," Every pony said, happy to see the young dragon.
"Hey every pony, it's great to see you all again," said the young dragon.
Then Spike saw Bolt right next to Applejack.
"You must be Bolt, the princess has told me so much about you," said Spike as he put his hand out.
Bolt hesitated for a minute until he saw Applejack giving him a smile, and then he put his hoof out.
"It's nice to meet you Spike," said Bolt.
"And it's nice to meet you Bolt," said Spike.
"Well if the introduction are done, Bolt would you close your eyes please," said Celestia.
"Ok," Bolt said, as he closed his eyes.
As Bolt walked with Applejack guiding him, he could hear the big doors slowly being opened, and felt Applejack starting to guide him again. After a few minutes he heard Applejacks voice.
"Ok Bolt, you can open your eyes now."
As he opened his eyes he could see he was in what appeared to be a ballroom. There were many ponies in attendance, most of the ponies he saw were dressed in elegant gowns, and nice suits. He recognized them as the ponies that lived in Canterlot. The other ponies he saw didn't have any clothes, just the fur on their body, manes, and tails. He guessed they were ponies from Ponyville.
"Wow this is great," said Bolt.
"I'm glade your pleased Bolt, now if you would follow me I will introduce you to every pony here," said Celestia as she walked up to the stage.
As Bolt came up to Celestia, she began to speak with a royal yet elegant voice.
"All mares and gentlecolts . Today myself, and my sister Princess Luna would like to welcome you as we celebrate the arrival of a new guest here his name is Bolt and he is the parents of Billy and Caroline Hoof Feathers who were members of my royal guards."
Celestia then pointed her hoof at Applejack.
"Our very own, The Element of Honesty, and farmer. Applejack was the one who discovered this little one inside her barn in Ponyville two days ago."
Applejack put her hoof up and waved at every pony, just then Celestia looked at Bolt and said in a hurt voice.
"Now every pony it pains me to say this but the reason that Bolt was in Applejack's barn in Ponyville was because him and his parents were attacked by a bear, while he survived his parents did not."
When the ponies heard this they all gasped in shock. Celestia blinked her eyes to subdue her tears as she looked up at every pony.
"Our faithful Element of Honesty, Applejack, and the Apple Family from Sweet Apple Acres brought all of their great apple delicacies for ever pony to enjoy. Our very own Element of Laughter, Pinkie pie, brought music, games to play, and an array of sweet treats baked by herself with some help from the Cakes of Surgarcube Corner. Later we will all may go outside to the palace courtyards to see the Element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dash, will be performing her Sonic Rainboom and for Fluttershy, our Element of Kindness, is going to soothe us with her bird choir. Now may this joyous celebration begin."
With that a blast was heard throughout the ballroom, and every pony turned to see it was Pinkie Pie setting off her party cannon. Streamers, confetti, and balloons showered over the ballroom. Laughter erupted from every pony. Every pony bowed their heads respectfully to the princesses as they all started moving around. Some were conversing with one another, some headed over to the apple cart where Big Macintosh, and Granny Smith stood at, some went over to enjoy some of Surgarcube Corners top sweet where Mr. and Mrs. Cake. A few went over to participate in some games operated by Pinkie Pie, who had a bright smile on her face. The Cutie Mark Crusaders each gave Bolt a warm hug before going off to hang out with the colts, and fillies who were invited, Rainbow Dash gave him a gentle rub on the head before flying outside to prepare for her Sonic Rainboom.
Rarity trotted up to him next, and gently wrapped a foreleg around his small form pulling him in a warm hug. She gave him a gentle kiss on the top of his head, and softly spoke.
"Bolt darling, I will be mingling with the other ponies if you need me, okay precious?" He nodded, and gave her a soft smile, she returned it before trotting off to mingle with the others.
Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna smiled down at the little child.
"Young Bolt, Tia and I officially welcome you young Bolt." Luna spoke with a soft tone as both royal sisters lowered their heads, and lightly touched each of his shoulders with their horns.
Just then Applejack trotted up to Bolt, and the princesses.
"Excuse me Celestia but I was wondering if the adoption papers are ready yet?"
Celestia smiled at the farm pony and said.
"Yes my little pony, they are ready."
With that Celestia used her magic to bring the adoption papers to Applejack.
"There you go Applejack, now just sign on the dotted line and Bolt will be your adopted son."
Applejack took a deep breath and then she signed right on the line, Celestia looked at the paper and smiled.
"Congratulations Applejack you are now the mother of Bolt Hoof feathers."
"Thank you Celestia," said Applejack, then she turned to Bolt.
"Well Bolt, it looks like I'm your new mother now."
Bolt looked at Applejack with happiness in his eyes, just then Pinkie Pie came up to them.
"Hey Bolt, I've got a surprise for you but you have to close your eyes."
"Ok auntie Pinkie," said Bolt as he closed his eyes and got on Pinkie Pie's back.
As Bolt was being carried by Pinkie Pie he started to get excited.
"Can I open my eyes now auntie Pinkie Pie?" He asked.
"No, not yet Bolt," said Pinkie Pie.
As waited to open his eyes he heard Pinkie Pie.
"Ok Bolt you can open your eyes now."
As Bolt opened his eyes his saw a banner that said. WELCOME TO PONYVILLE AND THE APPLE FAMILY BOLT.
"Wow auntie Pinkie, this is great but why did you put Ponyville instead of Canterlot?" Bolt asked.
"Cause you silly filly your living with us in Ponyville," said Pinkie Pie.
"Oh right," said Bolt, as he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.
Just then Bolt felt a hoof on his shoulder and when he turned around he saw Rarity and right beside her was a fancy dressed pony.
"Bolt darling I would like you to meet one of my top clients, this is Fancy Paints, Fancy Paints this is Bolt," said Rarity.
Fancy Paints looked at Bolt and smiled.
"It is a pleasure meeting you Bolt."
"And it's a pleasure meeting you Fancy paints," said Bolt.
"My dear laid I'm so sorry to hear about your parents, I hope your new family treats you well and if you need anything wright me a letter ok," said Fancy Paints.
"I will Mr. Fancy Paints and thank you," said Bolt.
With that Fancy Paints tipped his top hat off to Bolt and then he left with Rarity, just then Bolt heard Pinkie Pie.
"Come Bolt it's time for some games," she said with the biggest smile the Bolt ever saw.
"Ok auntie Pinkie, I'm coming."
As time passed by Bolt was having a great time at his party, He beat Pinkie Pie at Twister, he had fun bobbing for apples with his new momma, he enjoyed talking to other ponies, he also enjoyed seeing Fluttershy making wonderful music with her birds, and he had a great time playing pin the tail on the pony with his crusader friends. He was enjoying himself so much that he was sad that it was time to head back to Ponyville cause he had school in the morning.
"Oh but momma why do I have to go to school tomorrow?" He asked as they got into Discord's carriage.
"Cause Bolt every kid has to go to school and don't worry Applebloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo will be with you," said Applejack.
"Yeah Bolt so don't worry," said Applebloom.
Just then Discord appeared on the carriage.
"Hello my pony friends, are you ready to go back to Ponyville?" He asked.
"Yes we are Discord, and please be carful when we land this time," said Fluttershy.
"You got it my dear Fluttershy," Discord said, as he used his powers to activate his carriage.
"So Bolt, how did you like your party?" Asked Twilight.
"It was great, even when I beat Pinkie Pie at Twister," said Bolt, and then they all laughed even Pinkie.
As the group made it back to Ponyville they all said goodbye and headed back home.
"That was the best party ever," said Applebloom.
"Yeah mine too," said Bolt.
"Well that's Pinkie for ya, she makes the best parties," said Applejack.
As Applejack, Applebloom, and Bolt made it back to Sweet Apple Acers Bolt noticed that the house was closed up.
"I guess uncle Big Mac and Granny Smith are still at Canterlot?" Asked Bolt.
"Yes Bolt dear they are still in Canterlot for they are helping the princesses of cleaning up the ballroom from the party that we had for you," said Applejack.
"Ok well *yawn* I guess we should get some sleep," said Bolt as he went up to his room.
"He will be a great Apple wont he sister?" Asked Applebloom.
Applejack smiled at her young sister and said.
"Yes he will Applebloom, now go and get some sleep, you and Bolt have school in the morning."
"Yes sister," said Applebloom as she went up to her room.
As Applejack went up to her room she stopped by Bolt's room and looked at the now sleeping form of her adopted son.
"Sleep well Bolt, momma loves you very much."
With that she kissed Bolt on the head and went to sleep as Luna's moon shined bright on Bolt.

Chapter 4
As Celestia's sun rose, Bolt felt a hoof on his back.
"Bolt honey, It's time to wake up," Applejack said, in a calm, loving tone.
As soon as he heard his voice, Bolt slowly opened his eyes.
"Oh, good morning mom, is it time to get up already?"
"Yeah, sugarcube, it's time to get up and to get ready for school,"
"Ok, mom, I'll be right down,"
With that Applejack, kissed Bolt on the head and headed down stairs. After Applejack left, Bolt rubbed his eyes and slowly got up.
"Oh, I am stiff, stiff as an oak," he groaned.
He got up, went to the bathroom, and washed up as usual, and then started down the stairs, where his new family was waiting for him.
"Oh where is Bolt? He is going to be late for his first day of school," said Applejack.
"Now, now Aj, give the little one some time it only has been only five minutes since you woke him from his sleep," said Granny Smith.
just then they heard Bolt coming down the stairs.
"Well, here he comes now," said Applebloom.
"Eeyup," said Big Mac.
just then Bolt came into the kitchen.
"Good morning y'all," he said, with a little yawn.
"Good morning Bolt," they all said.
Just then Bolt smelled something good.
"Oh wow oatmeal my favorite."
"I knew you would like it Bolt," said Big Mac.
As Bolt was eating his food Applebloom said happily.
"So Bolt are you ready for your first day at school?"
"Yes Applebloom, I think I'm ready," said Bolt.
Just then they heard a knock on the door.
"Hey that must be Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo," said Applebloom.
"Go and finish your breakfast and I'll get the door," said Applejack.
As Applejack came to the door and opened it two familiar fillies gave their biggest smiles to Applejack and said together.
"HI APPLEJACK!!!!"
Applejack had to cover her ears.
"Hey Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo, Applebloom and Bolt will be out in a minute they are finishing they're breakfast."
Just then Bolt and Applebloom came to the door.
"Hey Bolt and Applebloom, are you guys ready?" Asked Scootaloo.
"Yes we are," said Applebloom.
"And I can't wait to make new friends," said Bolt.
"Well don't worry Bolt you will have a great time, but you need to watch out for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon," said Sweetie Bell.
Bolt was confused.
"Uh who is Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon?" He asked.
The CMC's sighed and then Applebloom said.
"Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon our two of the worse ponies you'll ever meet they have been bullying us ever since me, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo met."
"Ok you four I think it's time that you were on your way to school," said Applejack.
And with that the four fillies set off to school, while the were trotting to school Bolt asked.
"So guys what did Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, do to you?"
The CMC looked at Bolt, and then Scootaloo said to him.
"Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, have been making our lives miserable like there was a time when we were in the news paper club, they've always tease us and call us names like blank flanks."
When Bolt heard this he was terrified.
"I can't believe that they did that to you guys."
"Tell me about it," said Applebloom.
"What about you Bolt? Did you have to face bullies at Apple Loosa?" Asked Sweetie Bell.
Bolt, looked at her and said.
"Yeah I have Sweetie Bell, but I never let their bullying bug me and I'm not gonna let those two fillies bully me on my first day of my new school."
The CMC smiled at Bolt, that he was not going to let Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon or any pony bully him. Then before they knew it they made it to the school and saw Miss. Cheerilee, the school teacher.
"Well hello girls," said Miss. Cheerilee.
"Hi Miss. Cheerilee," said the CMC.
Then Miss. Cheerilee saw Bolt, and asked.
"And who is this nice young colt?"
Applebloom smiled and said Miss. Cheerilee.
"This Miss. Cheerilee, is my adopted nephew Bolt."
After hearing that Cheerilee, smiled and said to Bolt.
"Well it's nice to meet you Bolt."
"And it's nice to meet you too Miss. Cheerilee," said Bolt.
Just then the bell rang to signal the start of school.
"Ok kids let's go inside, it's time for class to start," said Miss. Cheerilee.
Cheerilee walked inside and the four fillies followed her. When they were inside, Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle went to their seats while Cheerilee placed a hoof on Bolt's shoulder. When the three Fillies made it to their seats, Cheerilee approached the class and made a motion to Bolt, telling him to follow her.
"Alright my little ponies let's settle down." Cheerilee said to the student's.
"Every pony we have a new student joining us today. This is Bolt, he is the adopted nephew of Applebloom, so please make him feel welcome." Cheerilee said before looking at Bolt.
"Bolt would you like to say something to the rest of the class?"
Bolt looked at the students and said in his most happy voice.
"Hello every pony it is very nice to meet you all."
After Bolt said that the class all smiled at him and then they all said to him.
"Hello Bolt, it's very nice to meet you too."
Cheerilee smiled and said to Bolt.
"Thank You Bolt, now go find your seat. You can sit anywhere you like."
Bolt looked around and saw a seat next to a pony with a two candy cane cutie mark. The filly smiled at Bot and said.
"Hello Bolt, I'm Twist."
Bolt smiled at Twist and said.
"Hello Twist it's very nice to meet you."
Twist smiled and then they heard Miss Cheerilee begin her lesson. As the lesson went on, the tiara wearing filly continued to glare at Bolt.
"So that little runt thinks he can steal my spotlight?"
The tiara wearing filly said to herself.
"Well I'll make sure that this will be his first day of school that he will never forget."
The tiara wearing filly had mischievous grin on her face as she watched the young colt listen to his teacher's every word. After a few hours it was time for lunch and recess. Bolt and the CMC all ate lunch happily. When they finished Twist trotted up to him.
"Hey Bolt, could you please push me on the swing?" Twist asked him with a smile on her face.
Bolt smiled right back at Twist and said.
"Sure I can Twist."
With that Twist and Bolt went outside with the others and headed for the swings. As Bolt pushed Twist, on the swing a voice rang out.
"Well, well, well if it isn't the nerd and the new blank flank."
"Yeah Diamond, those two look as if they were made for each other," said another voice.
Twist's face turned into an annoyed glare as she knew those two voices.
"What do you want Diamond Tiara? Can't you go annoy some pony else."
"I just wanted to talk to the new runt here." Diamond said cruelly as she looked at Bolt, who was looking at her with disapproving eyes.
Just then the CMC came to Twist and Bolt, but Diamond Tiara just laughed and said.
"Oh look the cutie mark losers have come too."
Diamond Tiara has always been cruel to the Cutie Mark Crusaders because they were not as rich as her, and also because they didn't have their cutie marks. Even when she wasn't picking on them she was snobby and rude towards every pony else. She was also spoiled and could get away with anything because of her father was one of the richest ponies in Ponyville.
"Why don't you just leave me and my friends alone," said Bolt, bravely.
"Why look here Silver, this blank flank has a little bit of a back bone in him," said Diamond Tiara, cruelly.
"Yeah," said Silver.
Silver Spoon always worked alongside of Diamond Tiara in tormenting the CMC.
"So runt I heard you were adopted by this blank flanks sister named Apple sack was it?" Diamond said, rudely.
When Applebloom heard what Diamond Tiara had just said about her sister, she said in an angry voice.
"Hey that's my sister your talking about and her name is Applejack and not Apple sack."
"Oh what ever she is still a loser anyway," said Diamond.
After that Bolt couldn't take anymore of Diamond Tiara's insult too his mother and his aunt Applebloom.
"Hey my adoptive mother is the best pony in the world so don't you say that she or any of my friends are losers."
But Diamond Tiara just brushed Bolt off and then said something that made Bolt lose it.
"Ha that may be great for you runt but what about your real parents huh?"
When Tiara said that Scootaloo, tried to stop her.
"Diamond Tiara, don't you dare."
"Don't I what? Say that the resin that Bolt is not with his real parents is because they never wanted him?" Diamond Tiara said, coldly.
When she said that Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo, Applebloom, Twist, and surprisingly even Silver Spoon gasped of what Diamond had just said.
"Um Tiara, don't you think that is going a little bit too far?" Silver Spoon asked.
Diamond looked at her friend and said.
"Don't worry Silvy, I know what I'm doing."
"No you don't Diamond, just leave Bolt alone," said Sweetie Bell.
But Diamond just pushed Sweetie Bell and said.
"Beat it blank flank this is between me and the new runt."
With that Diamond Tiara walked right up to Bolt, who was shaking right now but unknown to her he was shaking with anger.
"Well come on blank flank tell me where is your real family?" Diamond asked.
Bolt didn't say anything.
"Well you know what? I think I know where your family is. They didn't want you anymore so they abandon you because your nothing but a pathetic loser."
That comment that Diamond had just said to him was the last straw to take and with anger all built up inside of him, Bolt got up to Diamond Tiara's face and said in a voice that the CMC never heard coming form Bolt, before.
"How dare you, how dare you say that my parents abandon me."
Diamond Tiara tried to move away from Bolt, but he just kept on moving towards her saying.
"I'll have you know that my parents loved me very much, the only resin that I'm not with them anymore is because they were killed in a bear attack days ago on my birthday in the woods."
When Diamond hear that she wasn't teasing him anymore but before she could say anything else Bolt, continued to speak.
"And to top it off I spent like two to four days in the Sweet Apple Acres barn house until mom and Applebloom, found me during the thunderstorm that day."
This began to scare the CMC and Twist.
"Bolt please stop your scaring us," said Twist.
But Bolt didn't hear her, he was too angry at Diamond to even care then he said something to Diamond Tiara that shocked every pony.
"And finally Diamond Tiara, how would you feel if your parents died and ponies teased you about it huh?"
When Diamond hear that her hears folded and her eyes started to tear up.
"I thought so now why don't you and your sidekick leave us alone."
With that Bolt pushed Diamond Tiara, into the mud making every pony gasp then the fillies hear a voice ring out.
"Bolt."
Every pony looked and their was Miss Cheerilee, holding a hoof to her mouth in shock of what Bolt just did. When Bolt saw Miss Cheerilee, he realized what he had done to Diamond Tiara, and then he backed up and ran off.
"Bolt please wait," said Applebloom, but it was too late Bolt was gone.
After Bolt ran of Miss Cheerilee, looked at the CMC and the others and asked.
"What happened here?"
The CMC and the other fillies didn't say anything they just looked a Diamond Tiara in disgust. Then Silver Spoon spoke up.
"Miss Cheerilee? Me and Diamond, was teasing Bolt."
Miss Cheerilee looked at Silver, and said.
"And that is why he pushed Diamond into the mud?"
Just then Diamond spoke up.
"Well not really Miss Cheerilee, you see I said bad things about Applejack, and then I said bad things about his real parents and then he lost it and pushed me in the mud."
When Miss Cheerilee, hared this she glared at Diamond and asked her.
"And what was it that you say to him about his parents?"
Diamond took a deep breath and said in a sad voice.
"I....I said that the resin that he was adopted was that they didn't want him anymore so they abandon him because he is nothing but a pathetic loser."
When Miss Cheerilee hear this she was horrified.
"Well Diamond, you really did it this time haven't you?" She asked the filly.
Diamond slowly shook her head yes.
"Well then when I find Bolt you are going to apologies to him and to Applejack, and not only that I'm going to have a long talk with your farther after school about this as well. But right now I'm going to find Bolt and bring him back here but first I'm going to have some pony to look after you kids before I do."
With that Miss Cheerilee looked around outside of the school yard and then she saw Big Mac pulling a big cart full of apples.
"Hey Big Mac, wait up."
Big Mac heard Miss Cheerilee, call to him and when he looked he saw her coming towered him.
"Well hi Miss Cheerilee, what's up?" Big Mac asked.
"Big Mac, I need your help," said Miss Cheerilee.
With that she explained what happened when she finished Big Mac looked at her horrified.
"Oh dear where's Bolt now?" Asked Big Mac.
"I don't know that's why I need your help. If you could watch my students I could look for Bolt," said Miss Cheerilee.
Big Mac looked at Miss Cheerilee, and smiled.
"Of course I can watch over the students while you look for Bolt, Miss Cheerilee."
When Miss Cheerilee heard that she smiled and hugged the big red stallion and said.
"Thanks Big Mac, I owe you one."
With that Cheerilee, kissed Big Mac and then left to find Bolt. As Big Mac, watch Cheerilee leave he was blushing so much that you couldn't tell if he was blushing or not. Then Big Mac, turned around and saw all of the students looked at him with lobe dub be eyes and then he nervously said.
"Uh, well then. *Cough* Anyway kids I need to take these apples to market so come on kids and follow me and when I'm done we will head back to the school."
The kids all except Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara, cheered and with that they all followed him. As for Diamond Tiara, she was worried.
"Oh I hope Bolt, is alright," she said to herself.
Meanwhile Bolt, was on the bridge looking at his reflection in the water. He was thinking of what he said to Diamond Tiara and what he did to her.
"Oh dear, why did I do that? Now I'm a bully," said Bolt, as he threw a rock into the water.
just then he heard a voice.
"Hey Bolt."
When Bolt looked he saw Miss Cheerilee with a look of concern.
"Oh hi Miss Cheerilee," said Bolt, quietly.
Miss Cheerilee could see that Bolt, was not in the mood to talk but decided to talk to him anyway.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.
Bolt just hung his head and said.
"Yeah sure."
With that Cheerilee came up to Bolt, and asked.
"Come on Bolt, tell me what's wrong?"
Bolt sighed and said.
"I think you know what's wrong with me Miss Cheerilee."
Miss Cheerilee, looked at him for a moment and then said to him.
"Ok you got me there Bolt, yes I do know what's wrong. Diamond said bad things about Applejack and your real parents."
After hearing that Bolt wrapped his hooves around Miss Cheerilee, and then he started to cry.
"Why Miss Cheerilee? Why did Diamond Tiara, say those things to me?"
Miss Cheerilee just shook her head and said to the young colt.
"I don't know Bolt, I mean Diamond has done a lot of things but this is the first time that she did anything like this."
Bolt continued to cry while Miss Cheerilee stroke his mane. After a few moments he stopped crying and said to Miss Cheerilee.
"Am I going to be in trouble for what I did to Diamond?"
Miss Cheerilee looked at him and said.
"Yes but not as much as Diamond is going to be."
"So how much trouble are we talking about here?" Asked Bolt.
Miss Cheerilee thought about it and said.
"For you Bolt, a week of detention and for Diamond Tiara a good two month long detention."
"I think that is fair Miss Cheerilee," said Bolt.
After hearing that Miss Cheerilee smiled and said to young colt.
"You are a kind soul Bolt, now let's head back to the school."
Bolt smiled and nodded and with that they set off back to the school.

Chapter 5
Later that day after school Bolt and Diamond Tiara, were waiting for their parents to get them so Miss Cheerilee could talk to them about what happen today with them at school. Just then the door of Miss Cheerilee's room opened and their stood Applejack and Filthy Rich, Diamond Tiara's farther.
"Ah Applejack and Filthy Rich, I'm glad that you two could come," said Miss Cheerilee.
"It's very nice to see you again Miss Cheerilee," said Filthy Rich.
Miss Cheerilee looked at Filthy and nodded.
"So why have you called us here Miss Cheerilee? My sister just told me that you wanted to see me," said Applejack.
"Well Applejack, if you and Filthy Rich fallow me we can talk in privet," said Miss Cheerilee.
With that they left the room living Bolt and Diamond Tiara, by them selves. When they left Diamond looked at Bolt and asked in a soft voice.
"Bolt?"
Bolt looked at Diamond, and asked.
"Yes Diamond?"
"I'm sorry for what I said today."
Bolt looked at Diamond and said.
"I forgive you Diamond."
"Thank you Bolt," said Diamond.
Meanwhile Miss Cheerilee, was talking to Applejack and Filthy Rich.
"Ok the reason I called you and Filthy Rich here Applejack, is because of Bolt and Diamond Tiara," said Miss Cheerilee.
When Filthy Rich heard Bolt's name his eyes went wide.
"Bolt? You mean the son of Billy Hoof Feathers?" He asked.
"Yeah, how do you know him Filthy?" Asked Applejack.
"I knew Bolt's farther since High School," said Filthy Rich.
When Applejack heard this she was shocked.
"So you knew Bolt's farther since High School?" She asked.
"Yes, I did," said Filthy Rich.
Then Filthy Rich, turned to Applejack, and asked.
"Wait a minute how do you know this Applejack?"
Applejack looked at Filthy, and said.
"Because Bolt, told me and my family about his dad and mother."
When Filthy Rich, heard this he understood but then he asked.
"How do you know Bolt, anyway Miss Applejack?"
"Because he is my adopted son Filthy."
When Filthy Rich, heard what Applejack, just said his eyes went to pinpricks.
"Wait a minute if your Bolt's adopted mother then what happen to Billy and his wife?" He asked.
Applejack, sighed and told Filthy Rich, everything. When she got done Filthy Rich, shook his head.
"Oh dear poor Bolt," said Filthy.
Then Miss Cheerilee spoke up.
"And that brings me to why I called you and Miss Applejack here Mr. Rich."
"And what would that be ma'am?" Asked Filthy.
Miss Cheerilee look at Filthy Rich with the look of seriousness in her eyes and said.
"Well your daughter has said bad things about Bolt's real parents and to Applejack."
When Filthy heard that his eyes turned into pinpricks as for Applejack she had a look of anger on her face.
"And what did Diamond say to my Bolt? Asked Applejack.
Cheerilee shook her head and said.
"Well she said things like you were a loser and the resin that he was not with his real parents was that they didn't want him anymore."
After hearing what Cheerilee, had just said Applejack, gasped and turned to Filthy Rich, and was about to say something to him when Miss Cheerilee continued her story of what happened with Bolt and Diamond Tiara.
"After that Bolt, was so upset that he got into Diamond Tiara's face said some choice words to her and then he pushed her into the mud."
When Applejack, heard this she was at a lost for words.
"Did Bolt really do this?" She asked Miss Cheerilee.
Miss Cheerilee, looked at Applejack, and nodded. After that Applejack, said nothing but put her hooves over her mouth then she turned to Filthy Rich and said to him.
"I am so sorry Filthy, that Bolt, did that to Diamond."
Filthy Rich looked at Applejack and said in a calm voice.
"You know this isn't the first time he has done this."
"What do you mean Filthy?" Asked Miss Cheerilee.
Filthy Rich, looked at Miss Cheerilee, and said.
"Well Billy, always told me in his letters about Bolt, and how he was doing and when he told me that Bolt, was fighting in school in Appaloosa that I told him to come to Ponyville and I'll try to help him."
"So that's why him and his family was coming to Ponyville," said Applejack.
"That's right Applejack," said Filthy Rich.
After Filthy Rich finished Applejack, looked too Miss Cheerilee and asked.
"So Miss Cheerilee, what's going to happen to Bolt and Diamond Tiara?"
Miss Cheerilee looked at the farm pony and said.
"Well for Bolt he'll have to spend a week in detention."
When Applejack heard that she nodded in agreement. Then Miss Cheerilee looked at Filthy Rich, and said to him.
"But for Diamond, Mr. Rich she'll have to stay two months in detention with me."
Filthy looked at Miss Cheerilee's cold hard stare and said.
"Yes ma'am, I say that, that is a reasonable punishment for my daughter."
With that Miss Cheerilee, nodded and said.
"Alright now lets go and get Bolt and Diamond."
After that she left the room with Filthy Rich, and Applejack right behind her. As they entered the room they saw Bolt and Diamond talking and laughing with each other like old friends.
"Oh wow I can't believe you called my dad uncle Filthy," said Diamond.
"Yeah I know it was kind of funny was it," said Bolt.
After hearing what Diamond, just said Applejack and Miss Cheerilee just laughed making Filthy Rich blush with abarusment and then he said to the laughing foals.
"Yeah and your farther and mother never let me forget it."
After hearing Filthy Rich's voice Diamond Tiara and Bolt, stopped laughing and looed to see Miss Cheerilee, with Applejack and Filthy Rich standing right by the classroom door.
"Oh um hi dad," said Diamond.
"Hi Diamond," said Filthy Rich.
Then Filthy looked at Bolt and said.
"Hi Bolt, it is nice to see you again."
Bolt looked at Filthy Rich and said.
"It's nice to see you again too Mr. Rich."
Filthy Rich smiled at Bolt and then looked at his daughter and said.
"Come on Diamond, it's time to go home."
Diamond looked at her farther and said in a soft but sad voice.
"Yes daddy."
And with that they set off for home, after they left Applejack, looked at her son and said.
"Come on Bolt, it's time that we been going too."
"Yes mom," Bolt, said in a soft voice.
With that Bolt and Applejack left for home.
