Flowers for My Special Somepony: A TaviScratch Fanfic

Today was the day. No going back on plans. Vinyl was going to come and confess her love for Octavia…With a gift….*Tries not to laugh but fails to do so*
Today was Hearts and Hooves Day, and Vinyl had been nervous for the past few weeks. Would Tavi reject her gift and love? Or would she feel the same way? Vinyl sighed. *Long sigh*
She stood outside of Octavia’s driveway. She wasn’t quite sure if she was ready yet. She glanced over at the bouquet of flowers levitating next to her. Holding the bouquet close to her chest, she wished herself luck and made her way toward the door.
Vinyl had stopped in the middle of driveway and looked up at the house. As she set her gaze upon it, she saw the front curtain window curtains draw back, and Octavia was looking out. When Tavi noticed her, she smiled and waved- Oh hi
… *Snickers*
-then scurried over to answer the door. Vinyl walked up the porch steps
Before she could knock, Octavia opened the door and practically pulled her in. GET IN HERE!

“Vinyl! Why are you here? Aren’t you going to spend Hearts and Hooves Day with Neon?”
Octavia notices the flowers and points at them.
“Are those for Neon? They’re beautiful! She’ll love them!”
“Ah…um…n-no”
Vinyl stuttered.
“These are for you”
Octavia was astonished. “Vinyl… what are you trying to say?”
“I’m trying to say that I-I have really liked you for a while and-“
“But, but Neon…”
“I may even have more feelings than ‘like’ and-“
“But won’t he be mad-“ I MEAN “sad?”
“I think I love you,” Vinyl finished. *starts laughing*
Tavi opened her mouth as to say something, but quickly shut it. She studied the booket closer and took it-

“Vinyl…I’m flattered. I really am. But I have to ask about-“
“I left Neon”
Vinyl stared down at the floorboards, tracing circles into the floor with her left hoof.
“Wh-why did you leave him? You two were so happy together. Well, at least it seemed like it."
Vinyl looked up at Octavia, staring into her violet eyes.
“I left her for you-“ I MEAN “HIM” *snickering*
Vinyl stepped closer to Octavia, grabbing the flowers and setting them down somewhere nearby before.
“Somewhere nearby before?”
Pfft *laughing*
“I had a feeling I could be happier with you. I don’t know if you even like me. I don’t know if you even like pu-“ pfft-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*wipes tears out of her eyes* hahaha *clears throat* Come on Vinyl, ehehe -ahem- read it right.
*finally catches her breath* Whew…erm…anyways, “I don’t even know if you like mares, but I do know that every time I look at you and every time I hear that beautiful laughter,” pfft “that I’m hopelessly in love with my friend” *laughing uncontrollably*
Go ahead, Tavi…
*still laughing*
*whispers* Finish it!
Octavia continued to stare at Vinyl. Her face was flushed pure red. She glanced down at Vinyl’s hooves which were holding onto hers.

Vinyl stared back at her, eyes full of hope.
“Vinyl, I never knew you felt that way about me. I always pushed back my feelings for you because of the same reasons.”
“So…so all this time you-“
Vinyl’s words trailed off. She was too busy worrying about her own feelings and the terrible thought of being rejected that she never acknowledged Octavia’s affection towards her.
Octavia nodded, a faint smile on her face.
“Oh Vinyl,” *stifling a laugh* “You could have confessed sooner. You kept me waiting,” *Bursts out laughing* “FRIEND.”
HAHAHAhahahaha –ahem- hehehe…um…anyways, “I’m sorry. And Tavi?”
“WHAT IS IT?”
*Trying not to laugh* “Tavi, will you be my special somepony?” She whispered *gets close to Tavi’s ear and whispers again* “Will you be my special somepony?”
Fuck no.

WHAT?!
I-I MEAN “Of course, Vinyl, of course!”
Vinyl grinned and pulled Octavia into a hug. She had a-

She had a feeling this was the start of a beautiful relationship.
