Equestria's New Defenders

Celestia sat in a meeting with the nobles. "Why do they argue over the pettiest of things. I mean really a hot dog cart is a matter of national security? I wish something exciting would happen." The wide doors to the throne room slammed open. One of Princess Celestia's royal guards burst through. "Guard! What is the meaning of this!" Celestia exclaimed.

"Princess, The Evil Magician has returned!" The guard said as he bowed.

She gasped "I must go!" With that she teleported away.

Celestia summoned Luna. "Sister the time has come, reactivate Alpha 1,"

"Sister, is thou kidding us!"an astonished Luna said.

"I wish dear sister, but no," Celestia said,"Summon the Elements of Harmony."

"Of course sister" and Luna left to send the letter.

Twilight Sparkle received the letter at one of Pinkie's parties.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

Hello Twilight how art thou doing. We art doing well. How our thou friends. Umm..... OH SHUT UP TIA WE ART TRYING TO BE FRIENDLY! Any-who ... how is Spike and Owlowiscious, art they well and good and stu- WE DO NOT CARE IF THIS MESSAGE IS URGENT, SO SHUT THE ......umm we wrote that all down..in permanent ink.... this is awkward. Tia remind us to never again use thee "Write Every Word I Say" spell. so ummm...... cometh to this location you must teleport there. Byeth

"Girls, Spike listen up, I received a ....awkward....... letter from Princess Luna summoning us to Canterlot immediately,." "Gather around me so I can teleport us all!" Then Twilight teleported them to Canterlot.

They arrived in a dark room, "Where are we, what's going...

"Hey look a robot," Pinkie said.

"A what?," "Huh"-

"Ahem," said robot said, " Hello, I am Alpha 1 here to assist in the command center,"

"A what?," "Huh"-

"Ayi-yi-yi", for now listen to the princesses." The girls saw them and quickly bowed as the princesses as they approached. Celestia spoke, "A new threat has risen against Equestria,"

Luna continued, "Thy Elements of Harmony are not enough to stop this new enemy." Together they spoke, " That is why you are to become the Equestria Rangers!" A gasp resounded across the room. Luna continued, "Fluttershy, thou will become Equestria Ranger Yellow."

Celestia spoke next "Pinkie Pie, you are to become Equestria Ranger Pink."

"Applejack, thou will become Equestria Ranger Red."

"Rarity, you will become Equestria Ranger White."

"Rainbow Dash, thou will become Equestria Ranger Blue."

"Twilight Sparkle, My Faithful Student, you will become Equestria Ranger Purple."

"Girls is thou ready to face thee task." Luna said. Looking between each other then facing the princesses they replied with a confident look on all, even Fluttershy,

"Yes."

The Dark Magician's Plans

While the Pony Rangers were being briefed, the Dark Magician was summoning her minions and preparing to battle. "I summon my minions, from the horrible dominion, Tarturus!" the Dark Magician Chanted into her crystal viewing globe. One by one her minions appeared. First was her loyal guard, an evil griffin, Blackwing. Out of a cloud of smoke formed her two bumbling servents. Her chef, Lemon Meringue and her Butler, Sliver Platter. These two were not evil however, so they had been spared great wrath. Instead they were frozen in time in the land of Tarturus. The mad scientist Dr. Transfusion, appeared next. He was the one who created her monsters that created havoc amongst the ponies. The Dark Magician then gave her plan life. Blackwing was sent to create havoc and lure out those horrid alicorns. Then Dr. Transfusion would create putty ponies to aid in the battle. Next Black wing would disappear . In his place would be the new monster, courtesy Dr. Transfusion, to end the sisters. However her plan had one flaw. The Pony Rangers.

Prologue

Once, in the peaceful land of Equestria lived a young unicorn. She was the student of Luna, Princess of the Night. She studied and worked, however she grew greedy as she yearned for more power. She left her studies but not before she stole from the royal library and poured herself over the ancient spell books. She became a powerful but evil magician. It pained Celestia to rid the world of her sister's former pupil so soon after the loss of her dear sister, but she knew her duty. She confronted the former student with the Elements of Harmony. However they were not at full power and could not purify her, only banish her to the depths of Tarturus. It is said in legends that the Dark Magician as she is known today will return after a thousand years… this is the story of her return.

The Rules of the Rangers

Princess Luna began to speak "There art a few rules if thou wishes to become a Harmony Ranger"

"Ugh not rules!" complaines Rainbow Dash

"The rules are very simple, Rainbow, you must keep your powers a secret, never escalate a fight, and protect the innocent, see simple" Celestia said.

"Yes, Princesses," the girls replied.

Celestia began, "Spike-"

"SPIKE," Twilight yelled, "OH NO NO NO NO, I'm so sorry Princesses I thought he could come, but now it has to be a secret and now I'll be banished and imprisoned and then banished again in to a another prison and-"

"CALM THYSELF TWILIGHT," Luna said using The Royal Canterlot Voice.

"Umm... Luna, you may have been a bit to loud," Celestia said, while looking at the ponies mushed into the wall.

Even though she was blushing madly she needed to see if everypony was well. So she started with the closest pony "ART THEE DEAD FLUTTER-fluttershy" Luna said." Oops. forgot no Royal Canterlot Voice" Fluttershy's leg twitched. " Hurrah, she lives!" Luna exclaimed. Celestia face-hoofed.

After everypony was unsmushed, the princesses continued their teachings. "As I was saying, Spike I wish for you to stay here and work the command center, Can you do that?" Celestia said

"Of course your Majesty," Spike replied.

"Now thou must learn about thee new abilities and weapons," Luna spoke, not in the Royal Canterlot Voice thankfully.

The princesses began the teachings. Pinkie Pie, the pink ranger, would control the Alligator zord, Her special weapon would be the Party Pistols. Pinkie's special ability is she can turn invisible. Rarity, the white ranger would control the White Tiger Zord, her special weapon is the Diamond Whip. Rarity's special power is she can turn her body into any material by touching a material. Applejack, the red ranger, will control the Wolf Zord, her special weapon will be the Apple Shield. Applejack has super strength. Rainbow Dash, the blue ranger, would control the Tortoise zord, her special weapon will be the lightning sword. She has the ability to control the weather with a simple thought. Fluttershy, the yellow ranger, will control the Bunny zord, her special weapon is the bird-eye bow. Fluttershy can conjure force fields. Twilight Sparkle, the purple ranger, controls the Owl zord, her special weapon is the Magic spear. She can "ghost", or pass through any type of matter.

They finished not a moment to soon. The monster alarm started to wail.
